Wandered along here after my nearby FTF with one eye on possible spots for unpublished caches, but nothing jumped out at me. Didn’t take long to spot this, but was still surprised it actually was the cache, nicely done! Thanks for the prickly cache!
Find number 5962. I was braving the wind to get to GZ so did not want to waste time looking. Thankfully I walked straight past it but spotted it when I turned around. Thank you for the placement.
A quick wander down the walkway to this also.
Quick find as coords seemed pretty good for me.

Continuing my excursion around here, I inadvertently put my hand down briefly and picked up some prickles before I spotted this clever hide, TFTC
Out for a mid morning stroll with some muggles and another cache CacheInTheAct. Took longer than it should. TFTC
Today was another attempt to collect all the caches in the Papakura area. Know we will have to come back yet again. Got beaten by the tide for 3 of the caches in area. SLTFTC
In cahoots with Gap & Squiral an ABCDF4 spent the day in Auck seeking out
a few loose ends before attending the evening Event at Totara park.
Thanks to the Cos for the placements and variety of caches.
Beautiful view at high tide.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap), ABCDF4, and eyespyben... We were keen to investigate the nighttime event in Totara Park. In the meantime, we needed a few distractions to amuse ourselves. Finding some caches should do the trick...
After skipping this one earlier, we decided to backtrack for it. By the time we got around to ground zone, (Mrs) ABCDF4 had retrieved the cache and was signing off... On the way back to the car, we found the missing dog lead, which added to our adventures going forward... Thanks G-2 and TFTC.

Uff uff uff the thorns here! Jenny Makers! Great hide! But the thorns .... Gosh! Sharp and painful. Do not crawl here as I did .... TFTC!
Lovely weather today and finally a weekend off so why not collect some more caches we thought so this was were we ended up today.Parked up close by and made our way to the water.Got to the gz and was glad I left my coat on as needed the protection from all the prickles.Looked in several spots which didn’t reveal anything and then I spotted something which I wanted to take a closer look.Plenty of prickly things so I needed a tool to help me out which lead me to the find.very clever indeed it’s been a while since we found a g2 cache.
Came down here a second time as we didn't quite get to all of the caches here when we visited a while ago. This one took some time. We hemmed and hawed about possible hiding spots, even getting really close to the actual spot. As is often the case, I often think the G-2 caches are harder than what they are (and thus, it gives me some ideas for some REALLY tricky potential hides of my own, whenever I get around to that). Eventually though, hayleyfcy found the cache. Thanks!
This was a tricky one, with all the thorny stuff everywhere. Took quite a while, and was close to giving up. I kept revisiting a spot that I thought was the most likely given the hint, and upon getting closer, was able to get my hands on the cache. Came away with 2 prickly branches in my hair though haha. Tftc
Out getting a nearby cache with Bennett24 and as this was close by came to have a look. Considering I had a previous finder with me this was a tricky little cache to find and took quite a while to get. Glad to have stuck at it and finally found the cache, would have been annoying to spend all of that time on hands and knees and still come up empty handed. Widened the search zone and found something that gave me an idea for how it might be hidden back at the GZ the gpsr liked and lo and behold, there it was. Thanks for the cache, all good here.
After the annoying auckland weather had interferred with our geocaching obsession too much this weekend we had a wee fine window so thought screw it, lets go! Pulling up to park near the walkway we see the very dark clouds... hmm wonder if we can beat that... thunder and lightning off in the distance as we walked, at gz made a reasonably quick find somewhat accidently, very cool hide (fav point from me), and then the rain hit! Kids thought it was great fun - geocaching and a swim!!
Our second to last dot day for the year. Thankfully there are still a few wottie wots we haven't found. This was out next unfound one along the trail so headed here today. The spiky trees definitely appeared to have grown since you placed the cache so the hint is only sort of accurate. I found a likely hiding place, but heard a noise behind me before I could search in detail. It turned out to be a very friendly neighbourhood cat who demanded attention for quite a while, and once we stood up, insisted on standing on our feet so we couldn't move. Once the cat was happy to go and explore, we continued out exploration, finding the cache in the first space we were planning to look - although not the first place we actually looked. Happy to have a find here with darthcacher1 and purply.
Had no idea what to expect from this one. Was drawn to a spot. And what do you know I come up with the great cache. Lol. Definitely a bit different. Tftc
I did a little walk in this area to find three wottie Caches.
This last one was extremely hard to find. Nearly before I gave up I could find it because of the hint. Not easy...
Thanks for hiding this one!

1st of day on this fine beautiful Saturday morning. As I staying up here for the weekend, I decided to start the weekend with a bit of geocaching, having fallen out of practice over the last few months this meant that I too dived into the trees before reading the previous log. So... I too now have scratches on my knees and back! ouch.
We arrived at GZ just as it started to pour with rain so we started searching without doing our normal read of the cache description first.
As a result we became more closely acquainted with the prickly trees than we needed to although they did provide some benefit in giving us shelter from the ever intensifying rain.
After extracting ourselves from their prickly grasp we spotted a likely hiding spot and sure enough there was the cache.
Now it was time to debate whether we finish our walk here or continue into the deluge. The choice was easy, and off we headed towards the next cache.

Out in the area with Jag50 and Aiden29. No problems here as Mrs Jag made a nice quick find
Out with Merlot58 and Jag50 tackling the Wot Wots in the area. Mrs Jag caught sight of something and soon had the cache in hand.
Out with Merlot58 and Aiden29 looking for Wot Wots. Cache found quickly between all the muggles out walking this lovely trail on a stunning Winter day.
Was up in Auckland for the day and when it was time to head home, so was everyone else so decided it was better use of my time to go find a few caches while the roads settled down.
What a evil little hide, but I'm not sure if it was the hide or the trees surrounding GZ that was worse. However got well acquainted with the trees before I zeroed in on the cache. Well hidden.

Out for a few caches in the company of kiwis69 after what turned out to having been a long trying week for the both of us but for very different reasons. So of course looking for the opportunity to grab some caches in the south Auckland area to try and make a bit of a hole in the place.
So we left home at 5.30am with great plans in mind and a chance to put the world to rights. Hitting South Auckland it was a chance to grab a few of the more urbanized caches before heading out to areas with not quite so many people about.
All in all we managed to locate 55 caches of a variety with only two DNF's for the day. We had a great day and loved the variety of caches we came across. Thank you to all the cache owners for the effort to both place and maintain these caches. Sorry for the mainly copied logs. Always like G-2 caches as the camo is always inventive. A not so quick find here. All logs signed KC to save space.
Thank you for the cache thank you for the placement

Headed up to AKL with C&D to grab some numbers &, more importantly, have some fun & a lotta laughs after a hard week. Signed as KC to save space. Reached here mid-afternoon for our last little blast of finds for the day, hoping to clear out some wottles before heading south again. C&D was quickly onto this one, although not before I'd pushed a bit further into the prickly bushes lol, TFTC
Out caching with TW today (signed as TWA). Pretty cool camo here. Was luckily in the first place l checked. TFTC
Ha ha ....I must admit I did get entangled in prickly trees ; and found myself on cliff edge ....Had to retrace my steps ....and then get the prickles out of my pants !
Very cool find ....a favourite thanks Glyn !

Wandered to GZ, and made an instant find of the hidden bison as one of us recognised the "G--2 special" hide here. Thanks.

A bit of hunting around, and then I reread the description . The cache was where I originally thought. All in good condition TFTC
Nice spot for a cache. It reminds me of the other recent find at Shakespear Regional Park of yours. Cache is in great shape and it was a nice clever hide. Thanks again
One last find for the day and made this one bit of a detour but it was a nice day and well worth a wee drive. Nice stroll to GZ and a quick find in a likely looking spot. Nicely done here, TFTC
Out and about after work this evening. Thought I would avoid the worst of the traffic with some geocaching. I parked up and followed the path around to GZ. Nice spot up here, over looking the water. I followed the arrow on my GPSr and it soon led me to the sneaky hide. Cheers for the cache placement!
After finding quite a few GROTTY caches I had time to also find a few WOTTIE caches. I was wondering what to expect on approach. Spotted something of interest and there was the cache. TFTC, Biggles.
A quick find in a lovely location. We enjoyed the walk even though it threatened to rain. Very cleverly hidden, TFTC!
Easily one of the coolest caches near our home! Well camoed, deserves a favourite point. TFTC!!
Second time looking for this. We sxratched around where we thought it would be. No luck. Gps jumping about a bit. Went back to aforementioned spot. Mr team b scratched around some more. No its not getre he said, and then magically pulled cache out! Very clever hide! Tftc
On tour in NZ! To safe time and space we signed with CG3 ( caching girls 3)!
Tftc and greetings from Austria

Had one cache for rhe day however as it was such a lovely evening I just had to take a walk along to this cache as well. Trying to use the latest Geocaching app and got myself a little confused with the coined map and compass. Ended up with thistles in my hand so retracted my steps started the original app and bang there it was a relatively easy find after all!
Don't think I will be covering to.new app unless the original one does become nonfunctional!

Found ... Mrs McMike2012 & I used to live in this area several years ago ... before we started geocaching ... had noticed a few caches popping up here & today seemed like an ideal day to go for a bit of a walk to see what we could find ... plenty of 'muggles' about, which meant that there were a couple we didn't even try for & we won't record them as DNF's ... in the end, this cache was easily found & quickly replaced ... like the 'camo' so gets a 'favourite point' from us ... TN:LN:SL ... TFTC ... #1,202 for us.
Found the wottie's bison with a little sticktoittiveness after wondering wot the heck they could have done with it. Very clever Wotties! TFTC
I looked around a bit, but then spotted an interesting place that the cache might be. And it was. TFTC.
SethRaven and I enjoyed the stroll clear in the knowledge that the FTF was gone. Enjoyed this tricky little hide. TFTC
Third cache for Mrs Fencarrows and I this evening . . . . . GPS put me right on it - a fabulous little hide!!! I LOVE IT . . . . . thanks for this one. Signed the cache and off in search of number 4 . . . . .
Was just about to begin making dinner when bling bling 3 new caches in a row not too far from home - lets go!! Took about 18minutes to arrive and we were unsure whether there would be any FTF left - how wrong we were we had the place to ourselves!
By now there were quite a few more published in the area. We had spent a long time at the previous one so raced over here surprised to find a blank log as we knew cruising5 were in the area. I must have been tuned into G-2 as I walked straight up to the cache. Another favourite as the camo is cool.
Thanks for the cache. (FTF) #62
