Up from H.B. for a couple of days visiting friends. I had a good look for this one, but no bison tube to be found. Cheers.
On my last visit this cache had gone missing - thanks for the maintenance. Visited today with TNXPro on our way to do the island caches as the tides are looking good. TFTC.
I had some unfinished business here in Whangamata so naturally I called in on these remaining caches along this trail.
As I had a good car park I wandered up to this one too and made a quick find.

It seems to us that there is only one place it could be within the range of the coords but although we spent some time looking we came up empty.
Now this cache had a story to tell. I made it to the GZ and started my hunt for the cache. I sat down and pulled out something that I discarded and threw it to the side believing it to be rubbish (oh how wrong I had been). The next 30 minutes consisted of head scratching, pacing around, finding numerous other hiding places that were empty, doubting my GPS and many more fun things haha. No DNF's and I didn't want to be the first. I went back to where I had first looked and at what I had discarded...... and what would you know. Log signed finally. TFTC definitely a fun and challenging one
Road trip around the Coromandel with lots of caches to find. Log was soaked and not much more than mush as the cache is sitting in water. Tried to fold it so it was out of the water. TFTC.
Heading over to Whangamata for the day to visit some friends with the family, and managed to get away for a few hours to find a few geocaches in the area. Parked just at the start of Wentworth Valley Road to grab a few of the nearer caches along the cycleway. Nice camo, but not fooling me today, nice hide.
Making our very first trip ever to Whangamata this weekend. Our primary purpose being to find as many G--2 caches as we can, as we are trying to qualify for a Nelson Challenge cache, to complete 1000 caches by one cache owner.
After finding the first couple of "On the Way to Whanga" caches we parked up at the golf course to do the rest of the caches along here. Initially we were not sure what to make of the name, but all became clear as we approached. Cunning hide here, thanks.

Not wanting to keep my family waiting in the car I jogged down to this one. I was worried being G-2 caches which are always extremely well camoed ( and super fun to find) the series might take me a while but was glad that my geo senses were keen today and I was soon able to spot this container and was soon jogging off to the next one.
Managed to see this one straight away but struggled a little trying to get the log out haha. Sorted in the end Cheers G-2 TFTC
Someone else driving past us tooted and waved. Suspect G--2, or maybe Mrs S has a a new friend.
Thanks Glyn.
Thanks Glyn.
Always nice to have a sit while signing and TF made short work of finding what I can only describe as a "Glyn" cache. Nicely done, thanks
Very clever. Searched the wrong places to begin with but then read the hint better. Tftc
2305 After CITO in Waihi carried on to clear some caches (28) in Whanga. Did these just on dark. Spent some time looking for this one. Eventually I noticed the cache lying on the concrete blocks. After signing the log I put it where I thought it was supposed to have been.
I didn't have this one loaded on GPSr, so was thankful that I had met up with Vamber, or else I would have missed it.
Another quick find, then we headed back to cars. They still has #1 to find, and were a bit worried about finding a spot to turn around near GZ - so I was able to advise them theyed have no trouble. TFTC

Not a hide I have ever really come across before so that is saying something, well done.

A wet Monday morning and I stopped to get the town ones before heading off into the Wentworth valley
I loved the hides on this short trail thanks for your time and effort

We really enjoyed this small series, went mental on the rock one, in the hot sun, but got there in the end lol

Tftc! 3rd find of the day. Love the ingenuity that you put into your caches. This is such a cool wee series.
Another quick find without even needing the hint. Very sneaky hide. I'm really impressed with this series, didn't expect it to be this much fun. There's obviously been a bit of thought and effort into setting it up. Thanks!
11.30am - We wonder at how much this CO must spend finding all these treasures. All I can say is cunning. SLTFTC
On the road again with Gap (of Fap and Gap)... It's Valentine's Day and we are chasing down caches around the Whangamata area. Someone has been busily planting new hides here...
Another quick find. By now, we were lulled into believing that the rest of the caches in this series must be a breeze to find. We're waiting for a G-2 special which must surely come... TFTC.

Campsite all packed up, so headed to tidy up these last few caches, found with Mike-miss
A quick grab on this little cycle path before we headed out into the town to pick up the remainder of caches we missed yesterday. These were all nice and quick finds, although some were very craftily hidden, and we had lots of fun bumping into the other campout attendees along the way. Thanks for placing these caches!
Heading back to the campground for some more relaxing, stopped at the road entrance to pick up the remaining new cycleway caches. Nicely done here. TFTC!!!
I was out for a bike ride and saw some new caches had been listed so had to make a detour.
The camo on these are really good TFTC

This time we parked on the side street, walking along the path to GZ
As our team of rebel98, rustynz, supernanny, ric1948 and gorby walked everything became clear as to what we needed to do. I found this one, very clever, the favourite so far, but one should never choose, as the others might get jealous (they have all been favourites, so much creativity going on with this group of hides)

Found while out on a walk with Kiwi69. We had this one in had fairly quickly and it took longer to get the log out than it did to find the cache. Thanks for the cache, could have had us going but luckily the geosenses were on fine form
Another joint {FTF} !
I pondered over the name of this as we drove to it ......how perplexing ! At gz it took us a minute , then laughter all round as the lightbulb moment dawned !
Very cool work on the camo here thanks Glyn ! Favourite .....

Counting down the paces to get here, I see something that cracks me up, hence the cache title! Cache soon found and I thought it was brilliant, gets a fav from me today. rusty, Rebel, Ric, supernanny and myself are reelin' in the {FTF}s. Another group effort here. FTF #216
We were in the right place at the right time for a {FTF} flurry.
Never seen such excitement. It was all go. Expected company at any moment,
with so many cachers in the area. A tricky one here and definitely a Favorite. Tftc

Braving the rain that kept swinging over these caches (and everywhere else) but the hides are well worth it and this was another good fun one that didn't take too long to do with alpenmilch80. Quick find and then off to the next one - TFTC
After a good catch up with the assembled throng at the Wentworth valley campout event, 11hpg11 and I headed into Whanga to decamp into a nice dry bach before re-joining the true camping stalwarts later on. The heavy rain had stopped at this point (only briefly, as it turned out), so we decided to collect these new placements and stretch our legs before dinner.
No problems here. With two of us looking, it was a straight forward search and find. Great camo! Signed & replaced & off to the next. Thanks for the placement.
