Out with the JAMS crew for a weekend down the York's. The JAMS members along this weekend were JJ52, Allister w, Mogni and Sir_spectre. We came to finish off the last of the finish line for all of us and then goto a CITO event i was hosting near Kalpara. JJ52 and Allister W were target some certain cache types for the hard sounvier online bage. After Finishing the fishing line geoart we cached along the coast to Edithburgh and still only got to Edithburgh for dinner. Saturday was a cooler day for power trailing and only 1 snake was sighted, sunday started off cold but soon turned in to nice caching weather. We stopped for lunch in Stansbury on the way home.

We have spent the day driving the back roads of the lower Y.P. We have been taken to old ruins of churches schools and farms. Also a wind farm and painted water towers. Thanks to those who placed these caches. In some caches we have left something.
Our 3rd days break in Edithburgh away from the rat race. Another quick find while exploring the past. The log was very wet so we replaced both log and container and have the original if the CO would like it. Thank you for the placement of the Touch Of The Past #16 cache earthlight and The X-Trailers find number 8589 on 3 November 2021 at 2:07 pm

This weekend, I headed to the Yorke Peninsula. The goal was to visit Innes National Park for the Saturday to find a few of the oldie geocaches, but also to enjoy a different vicinity for geocaching. I used Edithburgh to base myself for the weekend's activities. On the drive to/from Edithburgh, I visited Ardrossan, Port Vincent, Wool Bay, and Coobowie, and also visited as far south as Sultana Point and Troubridge Point.
Today, I took the long route home back to Adelaide from Edithburgh, but did multiple detours along the way. I initially headed south to Sultana Point, followed by Troubridge Point; Two areas that I hadn't visited in all of my historical Coobowie Yorke Peninsula trips. I then drove north following the coastal route, stopping off in Coobowie, Wool Bay, and Port Vincent. A highlight was visiting the white clay mine just north of Stansbury, and it was a nice walk along the beach to get to.
On my return back to Edithburgh, I stopped off at this spot, and managed to find the cache reasonably quickly. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks earthlight and The X-Trailers for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Day 2 of our holidays, saw us caching along the coast line, cliff climbing, finding old ruins and travelling down many dirt roads. As at 4pm we are back at camp having a well earned rest before dinner and possibly more caching. TFTC
Mr IML&@ dropped the log sheet, the wind caught it and he quickly had to jump the fence to retrieve it. Oops!

Come back and replace with permit. Signed the log as EV and thanks for the cache and hide
On a day if arctic blustery conditions we set out to cache! Well why not? Better than sitting snuggled up in a camper all day. These ruins get you thinking about all the work and effort that went into buildings in those days, no quick shed erections. Tftc
Off down the Yorke for a few days with Purrfect Di, Jack, Sebastbat, muggle Alex and the geodog (cat's staff).
Found this cache along the way.
Plenty of history in the old homes around here.

With the wind eased right off this morning the only issue might be rain today, but even then that should only be passing light showers.
So we are back out chasing caches again!
This time we are again heading south from Edithburgh but inland towards Port Moor.....
Mrs Ski looked for this one. She wandered up and down a few times and then appeared at the car asking for tweezers. Strange time to be plucking eyebrows!!! No, it was to retrieve the log.

Found at 10:39 AM in the company of maccamob.
A mixture of past and new looking down at the wind generators.
Thanks earthlight.

Found by Mary & David, in company with pprass, at 1010. A touch of the past certainly, but rather overshadowed by a touch of the future in the form of that very large wind farm. With the strong winds, all those blades were turning except for four windmills that may have been undergoing maintenance. Our thanks to earthlight.
Staying in Ardrossan for a few day and today we decided to come for a drive down to Edithburgh to find a few new caches and do a bit of exploring while we were down here. [^]
This was one we passed on our travels. I love stopping at old ruins and buildings and wondering what their history was.
Thanks for the cache earthlight and The X-Trailers.

Australia Day long weekend and we have travelled to Stansbury to celebrate our 5th Anniversary of Caching. Out early today to beat the heat and get back to town for the Geo Event. Had a quick look around the monthly Market that was on in town and then headed off caching. Took a little while to find as it was a little ways from GZ and had not been placed back in the correct orientation. All good now. TFT
**# 19429** Found on the SA leg of our 2017 escape trip.
A perfect Spring day for a drive to Edithburgh with Tassie Trekkers.
Not many muggles around on these roads, and mostly good quick finds.

Today we explored Yorketown and then travelled to the southern end of Wool Bay and through to Coobowie and finished at Edithburgh using Geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way with Roostaman and this was one of them. An easy find at GZ.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Another lovely location, another history lesson or at least trying to imagine what life would have been like living here.
Thanks

Hi there earthlight.
We found your cache **"Touch Of The Past #16"** at 11:14:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 16900).
We cached around JLWE area today, & thoroughly enjoyed our trek. We ended up finding a variety of container types and sizes hidden along the way. Today we found 18 caches (& DNF'd 0). Thank you for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

A nice quick find. Had to evict the tenants from the cache, an ant colony had moved in. TFTC

First we must appologise for the generic logs.
If only the walls could talk and tell us about the happy and the sad times that they have seen over the years.
We came to Yorke Peninsular with Speedmistress who hails from Queensland to cache our little hearts out and this we are doing.
We solved loads of puzzles prior to coming and with all the earth, multi, trads and puzzles there are here we were never lacking in variety.
When we found caches that needed repair we have done our best to do what was possible, unfortunately we have now rum out of spare containers, so no more repairs can be done. We have enjoyed the scenery, the walks, the animal life and the challenges that was encountered while traveling the Peninsular. Not all the caches have been attempted due to time restraints but those have been earmarked for future visits.
We also would like to thank Speedmistress for supplying our geocaching chariot.
A huge thanks to all the cache owners for placing these caches for us to enjoy.
