I am leaving the area and couldn't find anyone to adopt this cache, so I am archiving it.
Another cache suffers from construction woes. I have replaced the cache at the same coordst, but in a slightly place.
Was out with AntNZ, as it has been a while since I have been caching. Quick find
Road constriction is now complete right in from of the cache, so it is now available to be found. The cache was fine, but I replaced it with one that has a waterproof log.
There is massive road works going on here, so the cache is not accessible for a while. I will check again around 1 August.
Currently unobtainable as it is behind a barricade due to drainage and road works.
Few blank spots in the area. And few GROTTYs too! Nice and handy Park and Grab. TFTC
GROTTY number 99 for me! Found it quick, but logbook is soaking wet.
Thanks for hiding, 100 I am coming!!!
Thanks for hiding, 100 I am coming!!!
Another nice fast grotty to find some caches for the Hidden Creatures challenge. I saw this one already when I parked the car. I think you can call it an easy find The log book is soaked, but I managed to sign as Team Piraten somehow. TFTC
Hidden Creatures Challenge... Accepted !!! Found with Piratenschatzsucher! and Pyphant and signed as Team Piraten. TFTC
Today was a pretty GROTTY day to go caching, but we wanted more finds on this calendar date, so what better bunch up caches to pick up quickly than these.
Spotted some pink as we pulled up so hoped for a quick grab here in the rain. Took a few seconds longer than it should have, as it actually needed to be accessed from the other side. TFTC.

I had a soccer game today out at Beachlands and so I thought that I would take a detour along the way and find a cache to keep my current daly streak going. So after parking as close as I could to GZ, I needed to wait while a group of cyclists who were in a race passed so that I could grab the cache without drawing attention to what I was doing. So once the coast was clear it was a quick grab. The log book has been signed and the cache is back in its hiding place all ready for the next finder. So thank you once again Agazo for setting up your GROTTY Series... loving it! It will take me a long time however to get anywhere near completing it. Anyway... thanks for the cache.
Still attempting to clean up all the Grotty caches, another one down and really not sure how many more to go. TFTC
On an early morning caching mission, 2 of the clan hatched a plan to make an early morning trip north and to find enough caches to qualify for the Planetary Pursuit. Careful planning was made and we had a very enjoyable hunting out the caches. Thanks also go out to all the cache owners who have placed and maintained the caches.
Find number 3803. This was on the next on the road I was travelling before I met my daughter after work. I was on the wrong side of the road. Once parked safely I had to wait as traffic streamed past before I was able to cross. The cache was quickly spotted and retrieved. Signing completed I had to wait for a gap in the traffic before I was able to return. Cache all good. Thank you for the placement.
On our way home after a few days in Northland. Heaps of traffic today but not hard to spot and Mrs S soon had it in hand.
Thanks Agazo.
Thanks Agazo.
Last time I was here the cache wasn't. No trouble at all today.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Spotted as we approached (it’s a hard colour to miss!). Nice quick find on our at home from camping with friends for new year. TFTC
Another before work Grotty Tube Grab. Quick and easy and filling in dot days in my stats.
Time for a few more GROTTYs today with TheMexikiwi and headed for this one. No dramas here and we soon had a quick find and were off again to the next. TFTC
Found it on the ground near where it was supposed to be. Replaced it where i assume it was supposed to have been.
A great day for some hunting! This was our first for the day. Nice easy find for the ten year old. Thanks
Great....another pinky earns me a smiley .
Thanks Agazo !
Not often down this way.....!
Thanks Agazo !

out and about New Zealand with Red Roaming, unfortunately we don't have too many days left now. We are visiting friends in Howick and today we have decided to come to Clevedon, as I went to school in Clevedon in the UK!!!!. Logs signed DD & RR or with our full caching names
apologies for the lateness in my logging.
another one that I soon had in hand

Cache soon found in its hidey hole - definitely the hint colour! Many thanks
Travelling around the world with Dartmoor Deliverer celebrating her taking early retirement!
NB Dont forget our Devon UK Mega 2017 GC6JZNY this August in the beautiful East Devon area of our county. UK Megas are over one week full of events and geocaching - a wonderful way to enjoy our county!

Yay! Thanks for a super quick find on the way to soccer practice Signed CCC.
I think I confused this Grotty with another one I did, seems like the same location! Or maybe I'm just tired and all caches are starting to look the same.
I stopped by to check on this one. It is indeed in the right place. Thanks harisree!
Driving to the beach with parents after visiting papakura temple. This was an easy find as the cache was lying out on the grass. Hope we have placed it back where it belong.
I have set myself a challenge for this year to have at least the same number of caches on each day of my calender as the number of years I have been caching.
This was one of nine I needed for today.
Cheers for the cache.

Cheers for the cache.
It seems the entire hiding place was replaced, so the cache went bye-bye. I have replaced it with another tube in a slightly different place.
Hmm no luck for us here today.... hope its not just my lack of geo sense creeping in....
Stopped off to look for this on our way to Clevedon. Spotted it but had to employ a bit of stealth stretching our legs due to bursts of traffic during retrieval and return. TFTC.
#261. Found at 3.35am on a night time drive to meet up with my family in Waihi Beach. Spotted nice and quickly under torchlight. TFTC.
A quick park & grab while en route to walking the geo-hounds at Whitford. Starting to get used finding the grotty series. Tftc.
Nice quick park and grab. A few cars were around, but was able to sign the log and return with no problems. TFTC
Another year and the first trip for the team out and about while none of us had to work the following day. So todays little jaunt was to be up and arounf the Clevedon Maretai areas to see what we could get before sleep took hold of us. On this adventure in attenence were HKCB, iammrwalker and RWIMF. Departing Hamilton at 7pm after doing the pickups it was with high spirits and high expectations for another good caching year with plenty of miles to be covered before returning home tomorrow morning.
We hoped to get about 50 for the evening and my final taly was 57 finds along with 2 DNF's, not bad for a bunch of beginners.
What a great start, soon started to get into the swing of things and before long we were coolkng with gas.
THanks to all the cache owners whom placed the caches for us to find this evening. Am sure that we will be back again soon to continue our travels

At a recent local Geocaching event I mentioned in passing it had been a while seen we had done any night missions and maybe we could head out for a few hours one evening once the kids were tucked up in bed. Somehow that evolved into me jumping into a car with Cats&Dragons, HKCB and RWIMF at 7pm on the 29th and hopping out of the car eleven hours later at 6am on the 30th. We signed the cache logs RICH an acronym of Geocaching names. I didn’t get as many finds as the others as I crashed and fell asleep in the car for a couple of hours sometime between 3 and 4am. Thanks to all the CO’s for placing and maintaining all the geocaches we found on our trip and for my companions for making the evening so enjoyable. Some close parking ensured we soon had this was signed and where quickly on our way again.
It's been a while since we have done a night mission, so with a few ideas thrown about we settled on heading to the Beachlands/Maraetai area for a bit of a clean out and to locate the two night caches in the area. The team consisted of RWIMF, iammrwalker, Cats&Dragons and myself (HKCB), which meant we signed the logs as RICH an accornym of our caching names.
Leavng home about 7pm we cached through the night, with the goal to reach my 7000th find, unfortunately the late night counting wasn't accurate enough which meant I was 1 short of that goal, but still 67 finds for the night wasn't a bad effort. We all had a great night, and found a handful of really good geocaches as well. A big thanks to all the CO's for the placements.

On my way to Duders for a day of Geocachng. This one was a bonus found on the way. TFTC.
The first of this series for me but I reckon that, as I'm nearing 5000 I will be happy for these to help me make up the numbers quickly. TFTC
Was a bit scared stopping on the main road to collect this - the cars are moving so fast! Another nice quick find for a dot day
My final full day in New Zealand after 2 weeks from Australia, visiting my sister in New Plymouth, then the mega event in Turangi, and some touristy stuff through the Bay of Plenty on the way back to Auckland. Today's final leg was the short hop from Thames to Auckland, mainly going up the East Coast Road to spend as much time in the country as possible. I think I actually wrote all logs today accidentally with 29/10/16 however. Oh well.
Final find for the day and maybe the trip unless I get one or two on the way to the airport in the morning if there is time. Had to wait for a local at the driveway to sod off before I could get out of the car and do the search for a quick find. Thanks Agazo.

We had been to the west coast of NZ, today we headed towards the east coast, nice farming area & then glorious ocean views. We found a good variety of hides & caches
Thanks for placing this cache Agazo
8am - We have been caching in Auckland for awhile. Up this weekend to add event numbers to our challenge we are working on. Spotted a huge number of grotty caches so thought we would try and tick off as many of this series. Amazed and annoyed as to how much rubbish is dumped around this region. Residents should take a bit more pride around the area. Most caches were quickly found with a trend in hiding locations. SLTFTC
With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... Visiting Auckland for the purpose of attending an event today... It's been a while since we were last here, and it looks like we have a lot of work to do.
From the outset, we unintentionally began picking up Grotty caches. Before we knew it, we were up to our eyeballs in it... While most caches were quick finds, visiting each location took its toll... We have seen some of the most appalling, filth laden sites in South Auckland. The joy of receiving a smiley is counterbalanced with the need to erase ones' memory of the things we've seen. We pity any caching visitors who may think New Zealand is clean and green. Their perception of this country will be shot to ribbons on this trail...
Anyway, we came for a smile and we succeeded... TFTC.

I was heading to paintballing at Clevedon for late morning and as it was supposed to be raining later in the day, it meant if i wanted any caches, and I did, it was going to have to be before. So headed into South Auckland area and started collecting.
This was a nice quick collection, TFTC

Out and about after work this evening collecting a few hides before taking the homeward bound road. Traffic is rather bad closer to town at the moment. I think a detour into the country will make for a more pleasant caching experience, so here I am. I managed to find a safe enough park reasonably close to GZ on this busy road. Cache was straight to hand after a short walk to GZ. Nice view of the misty rain on the hills from here. Cheers for the cache placement!
Out and about with geo-daughter during the school holidays, and as we were going right past this cache, we just had to stop for it.
The road was pretty busy, and I had parked on the other side, so I had to pick my time to cross, and to search. Luckily no-one seemed to care what a lone female was doing standing on the side of the road, staring at her phone!
Swooped in for a quick find between passing cars. Spotted the geodetic survey post, too.... is that why you picked this particular spot for this GROTTY?
Glad to get another in the series ticked off!

One of a number of GROTTY caches I found this morning. A QEF while on my way to Clevedon. TFTC
Had done this previously but for some reason had failed to log it. So we did it again for good measure while out this way again on a beautiful, fine, but crisp and cool Sunday morning.
Back in Auckland for a few days work this week. Time to go and get a few more GROTTY caches between meetings. This was the second one I found this morning. TFTC, Biggles.
Found while out with Bennett24 today. What a busy road but happy to have another grotty done. TFTC
Found ... another quick park & grab ... & completes another Grotty cache ... had grabbed a cache earlier today to fill in a date on my calendar & decided that only doing one cache today was a waste, so thought I'd do 5 or 6 ... again easily found & quickly replaced ... TN:LN:SL ... TFTC ... #1,267 for us.
Quick pickup on our way from Hamilton to Duder Regional Park. Thanks for the grotty cache.
Heading North and enjoying a variety of caches all adding to the fun of this trip.
A quick find here. TFTC

Heading out to Duders today to grab a few caches and grabbed these ones on the way through . . . .TFTC
What a busy road.
Beautiful day, pretended I was taking photos of lovely view ( which I did anyway)

After trying for the ftf on this cache but having to give up on the attempt as one of the minis was feeling too unwell, we were passing today on the way to place some new caches ourselves so thought we would turn this into a smiley. A nice quick find. Cache was guarded by a couple of big black crickets. Thanks for another grotty.
With family staying over the Easter break maintaining our streak was proving difficult.
Had a short break while the roast was cooking and noted that this cache would be a 44 minute return trip excluding find time. We knew that the Grottys were very good caches just for this purpose.
Drove to GZ made the quick find and headed back home.
As it turned out drove past this cache a couple of hours later as we took a very tired junior family member for a drive to get her to goto sleep! IT WORKED TO!!!!
