Came for another look today as this is the only cache we haven't found in the park. Still no luck. Might need some 'maintenance/replacement'
Decided to have a look at Duder Park on the way home
It was Low tide
Mr ABCDF4 got this one
nice hide thanks

Out caching in Duders again, this time along the northern coast since the tide is low. As soon as we got out of the car and felt the cold wind blowing from the sea we wondered if we had chosen the wrong day to do this walk. But by the time we had reached the first cache we felt much more sheltered.
As we neared GZ we could see the area we needed to search. While one of us checked out the best way to get there, the other managed to spy the container. Not too long after that the log was signed and the container carefully replaced. Thanks.

Back down to the continue our walk along the shore and we arrived at the GZ. We quickly realised what was going to be required here. Looked in many places trying from the top and the bottom without any luck. We took one last approach which we had put off a bit due to the description but it enabled us to make our find. Very carefully we grabbed the cache and made our way back to continue with our walk.
Headed into the park today to try and make it my happy place (all smilies), and didn't want to be in the park at level 3.? with many other people from outside my closed bubble...but given it was a Tuesday, there was many people today.....
Found all bar one....so not quite my happy place today....
Casual stroll 12.63km total in 5.22hrs total time including a lunch stop.
Cache is nice and dry.

I was out in the area for the CITO today. Really wonderful park, I spent the majority of the day walking up and down all the different hills to collect caches!
Thanks for all COs who put caches here!
Notes on this cache :
I had a hard time with this cache, up, down, up, down. Was about to give up when I checked on more spot and there it was!

Nice tree! But as the hint suggests... It pointed us in the right direction. You'd have to be tall! TFTC
Due to the covid 19 situation I will be disabling all my caches until we no longer have to self isolate. Anyone logging one after this date will have the log deleted. Stay safe.
Cache had gone missing. Replaced with new container. Stocked up with lots of goodies.
Way to much dead leaves and dead birds here. Gave it 15 minutes of feeling a little disguised and pulling branches and leaves out before calling it. Sure it's here but very hidden.
Another impromptu trip for TeamBOP,. Only 3 of us today consisting of myself, Davidsonclan and McJandals.
Have been meaning to get up here for a while now, so glad to have finally visited this wonderful park.
A great tree to climb.
Took TB.
Thanks for bringing me here.

On a road trip with part of Team BOP which includes myself, TNXPRO and Davidson Clan. To save room we have signed BoP and I am logging using the Cachly app Ctemplate so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing us here. Cheers
Great spot. Little bit of tree climbing required but that actually makes it fun to find this cache! Found TB but left for a soccer enthusiast. TFTC!
Circumnavigated the peninsula on a nice sunny day and stopped here to drop a TB into this nice, beautiful and dry cache
Out with the Auckland Meet Up Group today going around the coastal part of this park. Good company, good chat.

Out at Duder Regional Park with a group from Meetups to cache the area. Great to have great company on our walk around the park. It was helpful to have 7 pairs of eyes to make our finds. Signed as Meetups to save space on the logs. Now comes the fun finding caches in trees ... lol Glad to be on the beach and away from the slippery mud back up the track. SL. TFTC.
Headed out this way to join up with The Auckland Geocachers Meetup group to cache at Duder's Reserve. Left a few hours earlier to find a number of caches that I didn't have a chance to look for on my last visit in the area.
Took getting to the right height to spot this one. Signed as Meetup to save on space.

Out for a walk around Duders at low tide with the Auckland Geocaching Meetup Group. Logs signed AKMU or Meetup Group. After successfully negotiating the muddy track down to the beach, we started our circumnavigation of the peninsula. This one was immediately apparent once we got up to it. TFTC.
Continuing my way around the shoreline, didn't take me long to find this tucked away. Picked up TB, TFTC
I took daughter #1 out for a drive, lunch and walk today, finding a few caches along the way. We parked in the main car park and went for a bit of a loop around the park. Tried to find a few of the caches that have popped up since my last visit and some that I couldn't find in the past. After the cosy corner cache we found our way down to the 'coastal track' and along to this cache. I climbed into position and found the cache. TFTC, Biggles.
Find number 3857. My mission today was collect points for the Planetary Pursuit challenge. I had 255 and needed 230 and then attend an event tonight to reach the final. I left Hamilton at 4.30 am heading to Duders Regional Park. I got the first cache at 6.30 am and by 3.00 am I had achieved the necessary. A total of 33 caches found and 9 not found. (Well not extensively looked for) The weather was great and I had a good walk around the park. Some lovely views and some great caches. Then it was a sleep in the car for a couple of hours before heading in for the night event. Some fish n chips at GZ while I watched the sunset. Then after the event it was home to Hamilton by 10.30 pm.
Another that had me wondering. I thought I knew where it should be but ruled that out. In the end that was where it was. Cache all good. Thank you for the placement.

Anniversary weekend saw us head to Omana for a few days of camping and caching with KirsTim, vistra and yorkshirekiwi83. Today we headed to gather a few more of the caches we hadn't managed to pick up the last time we were at Duders Park. We split up at the carpark, as we all had differing requirements, so headed off to one side of the of the coast to begin with and find the ones we required. Another straightforward find here, thanks for the hide.
Anniversary weekend and we decided to copy last year and head back to Omana Regional park campsite with Vamber & Yorkshirekiwi83. Vistra joined us today but as we had different caches we set off with Vamber. Found after a brief search Signed the log as KKKT. Thanks
Nice walk. Staying at Duders for the night at the 2broons house so had to do some caches. Loved the cache. TFTC
What a wonderful cache. The tide was right, the weather was too. I came down the trail from the park (which was a small streamlet since it had rained all night) and enjoyed this little adventure a lot. There are two ways to climb the tree, an easy and a harder one. I took the easy one . Once you're up there, it's an easy find.
Found the Turtle TB and took it. Must look for a nice dry cache now, to keep it cuddly.
Thanks for the very nice and enjoyable cache!

Lovely sunny winters day today found us going for our 1st walk around some of Duder Regional Park. We completed some of the Farm Loop track up to the trig station then ventured down to the beach before returning around the coastline. Perfect cache for Kiwiscot. She got handed the job to investigate the most likely looking spot and soon had the hide in hand. Turtle TB dropped, Just Married coin picked up. TFTC
Found on 26.04.17 with my family. Walked along the beach at low tide on a beautiful day. Love the tree
Low tide today at 12.30pm so made the most of a mid afternoon walk around the shoreline to get these few caches out towards the point. A short climb at GZ and the cache was quickly located. Signed log and dropped a geocoin for the next finder - TFTC!
After a small climb, we almost mistook the nearby bait trap as the cache but then spotted it's hiding spot. Uplifted the trackable to continue its journey. TFTC.
Enjoyed walking along the coast to grab three unfound caches. Nice quick find. TFTC
We came straight down the hill from the trig = not the best plan. However once we were on the sea shore we had the most marvellous walk. T4tc
I found it! I found it! yay! Decided as it was a nice day to head out to duders ranch and collect as many caches as possible before my phone battery dies (think I got about 80%?) Thank you to the cachers who had placed all of these. was fine as long as I didn't look down
Should have read the description better LOL... BTW it's also accessible from the cache above (cosy corner) if you climb a fence and slide down a very steep bit on your bum because it looks like a good shortcut. it's not. Use the trail. A good adventure anyhoo, FP from me! What a fantastic view! Left a TB. TFTC!
An early start was required as walking the complete park via the coast. Quick find . TFTC
I had heard that the weather was supposed to pack up this afternoon so straight after breakfast I headed out to sign off the rest of the caches here in the beautiful Duder Regional Park. I arrived at mid-tide on its way out to have a nice walk along the park's northern coastline.
A word to the wise, this cache is very close to a poison bait box.
Cheers for the cache.

Today we covered approx 15.8kmx and still managed to be home by 2pm after clearing Duders Park. Also managed to find homes for a lot of trackables that I've had in my possession since coming back from South America.
Thank you to all the cache owners who have put these caches out and filled this little area, a good variety of caches, sizes and locations. Great walk along the foreshore which we did before doing the caches generally higher up. As to the middle of the Park (on some of the slopes there was a lot of water coming out of the hillside which necessitated the need to take a little care so that we didn't ens up back down on the foreshore.
After working our way along from parking and doing the spit it was time to start making our way around the foreshore while the tide was right. This was our ninteenth for the morning. Finally we headed back down the northern side of the spit. Soon located this little one and made the most of the views, the rain seems to be holding off for now, lets hope it lasts. 11HPG11 soon had this one secured with a little bit of acrobatics.
Thanks for the cache, thanks for the placement.

Teamed up today with Cats&Dragons, our aim today was to tackle Duders Park and clean out the area. We didn't have much time so left Hamilton at 5.15am and made the way up to the park. All nice and quiet today at this early hour. We did around 15kms and were back home by 2pm so all in all a great morning. The weather was great too, still and calm in the early morning, some brilliant sun, a brief heavy shower and then cleared up again. We signed the logs as HOAC to save room. Thanks to all the cache owners for some great placements in a lovely area.
WE started looking lower down but then had the stroke of genius to head higher. A nice bit of climbing and we soon had the cache in hand.

Indeed the tree climbing wasn't too bad and we enjoyed the clambering around. Went right on low tide
No one around on this part of the beach. A few fishermen out along the area. Great area for a walk
Today, yorkshirekiwi83 and I headed out to Duder Regional Park for our 3rd caching visit. This time we were part of Team DD, or the Dudes and Dudettes, a large group of cachers drawn to the area by Gorbys event, morning tea and fine baking.. oh and a few caches. We spent the day wandering around the park, finding all the caches we hadn't previously found - it was a great day out. Thanks for all of the caches placed out here!

Found as part of team DD. Struggling to remember this cache but then again the wicked hangover was probably the cause of that.
FITW Team DD.
My first find of the day. A stealia with tree climbing. It was fun. tftc.

Team DD, dandying around Duder!
One of those "it's not a possum trap" caches.
harisree **emasculated** male team members by climbing up and finding the cache.
Thanks for the cache!

Yet another quick find while out with the Team DDers ! No problem at all with such a big group !
It was about here that the CO was beginning to voice his concern over the "technostructure" responsible for releasing some new caches in the park today. If it did not happen soon we might possibly miss or have to backtrack to the new releases. But team DD did not worry too much staying focused to locate this cache.
Part of todays group of Dudes & Dudettes logging as DD. This cache was in the early stages of our day, while we were still fresh & full of energy, and hadn't yet made the inevitable conclusion that we'd very likely have to visit a "chiropodist" next day. Tftc
Loving the dictionary findings of the ladies before me, love seeing what logs they are going to create! Here's a word I found in the dictionary: FOUND, easy really... all I have to do is add 'it' to it. But who found it, that's what I ask! I believe it was Harisree who made the quick climb up the tree.
Found ... Mrs McMike2012 & I had been out attending the 'Dudes & Dudettes Dandy Day Out' Event (GC6FKWX) at Duder Park ... part of the event was a walk around Duder Park collecting caches that we hadn't done before ... we had cleaned out all of the caches out here about 5 or 6 weeks ago, only to have another 12 or so pop up ... isn't that always the way ... this cache was the 5th of 16 physical caches, but the 6th of 17 caches for the day ... TN:LN:SL (signed under the Group name: Team D&D) ... TFTC ... #1,316 for us.
I thought we were following the pack down an easy path to the beach, but it turned out to be quite difficult. As we struggled down, others, who had actually gone the easy way, pointed at us and laughed -- or at least it felt that way.
Once on the beach it was a nice little walk to GZ and with twenty people looking for the cache, it was a quick find. TFTC.

A large group of us set off around the regional park today, signed as DD. Over the course of the day we reduced in numbers, but had an amazing time out here, hopefully we dont have to come back too soon as I have cleared this park out twice already.
This was a nice quick find

As I log, using my own dictionary challenge I find it can help to check out the 'etymon' of the words I randomly pick. Luckily I didn't need to do that for the title, to understand where I needed to look.
Wow, there were certainly lots of places this cache could of been hidden but thankfully we didn't have to have a 'commendam' and the log was duly signed as DD in the presence of the CO.
Hunting geocaches around Duders today with evilno9. After finding our gentle way down from the cosy corner, we enjoyed the climb to the geocache. TFTC
5th of 17 finds of the day with Team D+D while at 'Dudes & Dudettes Dandy Day Out' Event. Time to scramble down to the beach but a bit of back tracking was required by some due to the excessive amounts of conversation going on. Luckily the A Stelia was giant and leaping out at us and easy to spot no matter how much exercise the jaw was getting. I had made an effort to find all the caches here previously only for PriceFamily6 and StevecoxNZ to make a greater effort to provide us with hours more entertainment.
Another fun one with alpenmilch80, we chose separate approaches to get up the tree and she got there first so I guess she won that one. Nicely hidden in a nice spot - TFTC
Knew where to look from the title, thought another terrain star might be in order though.

Out for a day's exercise at Duders, plus the bonus of lots of new caches to collect. By this time we had teamed up with sp8sm8 so four looking meant the cache was soon in hand. TFTC
Luckily I knew what the title refered to, so this was a quick find. Added swag, but can't remember what.
Arrived back at the trail head to return to our car through Duders Park and had a choice - walk back through and collect some more caches or continue along the beach and get Mr NZT to drive us to our car in the car park.
Considering it was now almost 5pm and we had been walking almost 3 hours I was amazed when one of the little ones still wanted to continue. However, common sense kicked in and as its a school night we opted to head along the beach, grab this one last cache and head off home for some well earned dinner.
Searched around a little bit and got a hint from Mr NZT which made it a little quicker as time was ticking on.
Thanks for the cache and for the fun day!
Mapped our walk when I got home - we walked just shy of 8km - a record day for Cragger and Laval and a bonus of no moaning!

A beautiful day and not a single other person around as we went for a caching adventure along the coast. Nice quick find TFTC
Had a great day out at Duder's with caching buddy Trout-fly, picking up all the caches that had been placed since our last visit. Up, down, around, up and down again we went on what turned out to be quite a hot day. Trout-fly did the honours again here, nice walk along the beach before heading inland. TFTC
Back at Duder today with the kids to pick up a few more of the recent releases. A quick climb up the tree and the cache was in hand, the kids were stoked with the swag to swap TFTC!
Arranged to spend the day with Team Welsh who had done some of these caches but was keen to pick up the ones missed on the last visit. We hatched a zig-zag plan to cover the park with the least amount of walking and altitude change and, armed with plenty of water and lunch, we set off. Unfortunately my GPS decided that it would spend the day impersonating a brick, so i was very pleased to peer over the shoulder of TW at her GPS. Thanks
Had been on the North Shore and had been lucky to get the two ftfs there and had noted the three new releases so close to home and thought by the time I got back home these would be gone as well.
Was continually checking the logs whilst driving home and saw that they still hadn't been logged, as it was such a lovely evening I thought I would go for walk and attempt these.
Parked my car at the end of Duders and wandered along the beach thankfully the tide was being cooperative and I didn't need to get my toes wet!
Got to GZ and realized that a climb was in order did an initial search where I thought that the cache was but all I found was a trap, searched through all the tree with my torch and still without success, came back to where I had initially started and something glinted off my torch beam..... OOO YAY its the cache.
Now the interesting part is it a blank log..... YAY IT IS!
