Drive right by it but was able to make a safe u turn to retrieve the cache and get a smiley
Out on the Smile trail with Tramyard! This was not a Smile either but we were so close by and neither of us had found it before. This is the first of many times today that I was glad to have company while out caching since it would have taken a lot longer to find by myself, but tramyard did find it after we both searched for a few minutes. I guess the description says it all. Thank you TWS
Found it while doing the Smiles Geo-Art series with lumin298 on the last day of Queen's Birthday long weekend. Also I would like to mention we had "great" weather despite a very pessimistic forecast.
TFTC!

With the geohound sat in the car we didn't want to take very long here in case he started to worry! Luckily it was easy to find, so we soon had the log signed and were on our way to collect some of the Smile puzzles.
Mrs G has been visiting family in Albany for the weekend and, of course, fitting in a little geocaching when and where possible given that the family are muggles but not averse to some geocaching stops.
So today was the final chance before she flew back home and this one was very near to where she was staying and could be a slight deviation as we set out for the airport. The find was quick and straightforward. A pet cemetery seems like a good idea and this one has been here for quite some time now - the sign is showing its age a bit too. We didn't have time to look at the cemetery itself but TFTC.

Quick find I’m not sure they will get a lot of business with their sign so far back except from geocachers I guess. TFTC

A nice quick find here, had to avert the dogs eyes away so they didn't think we were scouting out plots for them! TFTC

On my way home. Avoiding traffic so came this way ti head north. Quick find. Tftc
One car pulled out as we pulled in and then there were two people gardening further down the drive. They didn't even look in our direction (well while we were looking at them anyway) - they were so intent on the job in hand. Well so were we and the hide was luckily well out of their sight. Oh, a sematary. I got an interesting answer from google when I investigated your spelling .
On a geocaching expedition from Nelson. Way back in February Isis58, no.13 and I planned a trip to Auckland for the planned Mega event. When Covid struck and the country went into lockdown we decided to wait and see what happened - - that was less hassle than trying to get refunds on our flights anyway. Well, of course the Mega event was cancelled but luckily for us, flying was an option again by Labour Weekend. We changed some of the details of our trip but decided we would fit in as much caching as we could. We were joined by Mrs SoBad. We visited some amazing places, fitted in some walks, came across lots of people - - lots of traffic too. A huge thank you to the COs for hiding caches which presented us with puzzles to solve, took us to great places, were cleverly camouflaged, were cunningly hidden - - sometimes in plain sight - - all of the above and of course an equal thank you for the ones that just gave us one more smilie. We really really appreciated them all. Thanks !

Mrs SoBad was part of the INSS group chasing Smiles around the area. The Smiles series formed the basis for the trip, but we were pleased to find a number of other caches as we drove. There were people working in the gardens here but well away from GZ.
Thanks.
Thanks.
One of the delights of caching in New Zealand for us from the UK is that you have nice quiet roads where you can simply park up and soak in the atmosphere of this lovely green country. Thanks for the cache.
Not seen a place like this, although I’m sure they exist! No problem finding. Retrieved a pathtag. TFTC
Mum (SethRaven) is up staying with us for the night and what better way to spend time together than to find more geocaches . . . . . . just popped into a mates house so Master SethRaven could have a swim and then back out for more finds. Quick find by me at this one today. TFTC
I enjoyed this book by Stephen King a very long time ago . . . . . . a quick park and grab for 2FLYTim and I here today. TFTC
Checked the map, couldn't get the geo locator to focus on me, says I was standing across the road in the other bus stop, WTH! Ah well we found it, put the log into a wee bag in case of torrential rain again and a present for the next passer by , TFTC!
second time lucky even if it's been months between visits. so pleased to turn this into a nice yellow smilie thx.
I have been meaning to find this cache here for a while,
So finally I did.
TFTC and Diamond for Mystery at the Museum (knew there was a reason for just driving past before now).

Caching today with themexikiwi and started our day here. Nice quick find to get started and we were soon back in the car and on our way again. TFTC
#814. Well I had my car with me and with a break in the torrential downpours I thought I'd go for a quick drive on my lunch break and grab this cache. Not much else to say really! Easy park, find, sign and replace, although it wasn't in the first nor second place that I looked. Cache is in good condition, but the log is quite wet. Still writeable. Cheers!
On a drive this afternoon to pick up the new caches dotted amongst the 101 Dalmations. This was a first stop on the way. We instantly recognised the container. Quick find. SL. TFTC.
This was my last cache of the day - I was staying close by & it seemed rude not to look for it.
Thans for placing & maintaining this cache, TWS.

Unfortunately couldnt find it...looked in the likely spots as well as everywhere we could....
Out and about today with Keylev to pick up the smile series we had solved a while ago and a few traditionals along the way This was the 37th find of the day but the most difficult part was crossing over the road from where we had parked as it's a very busy road. Once at GZ the cache was quickly found, TFTC!
Looked where we thought was the most obvious place and no luck. Went further afield but nothing matching the hint. Sat down to read a few logs and thought that we must be in the right place and maybe it a become dislodged. Had a look on the ground and luckily spotted the cache. Put back where it should have been, thanks
Had a bit of a challenge with this one. Firstly I didn't believe my gps...thought I knew better and what the clue meant. Then I reinterpreted the clue and searched somewhere else, and still got it wrong...then as a last resort went to Plan C, and there it was...cheers V.
Out and about getting a few caches after finishing work early, the plan is get a tyre changed on my car then head home for dinner, pizza at my place with the parents. But now this cache. Easy little find here and unusual sign, it's old and I wonder if it's still real??
#3716. After spending a few days in Auckland on a work trip, I had the opportunity today to grab a few geocaches before flying back south in the late afternoon. I am working on the DGSC challenge and one task in the bulk find elective is to locate 50 or more caches in a day on eight occasions. So decided the Dalmations power trail would be worth a visit. Managed to find 74 caches in just over 6 hours which was more than I expected to find and only 2 DNF's. Then back to fight the serious traffic congestion as people flocked to Adele's concert at Mt Smart stadium. Nice quick find here. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for hiding the cache here.
Was passing by here to meet up with a few cachers to start the 101 Dalmations series. What I thought would be a quick park and grab ended up a little more, as the cache was not where originally thought it would be. Had to walk a little further to the actual hiding spot. TFTC.
Don't know why I have missed this one over the years but today is the day!
Thanks, all ok.
Thanks, all ok.
#251. Although the cache was not where we originally thought it would be, we managed a quick find after finding another likely hiding spot. Nice quick find, TFTC.
We were heading back down the road after abandoning a trip to Riverhead Forest to look for dalmatian puppies. Did this one solo while dog and wife rested up in the car. Quick grab here - had no idea this place was here. Quick scoot back to car, make sure you're careful if you did what I did and parked on the other side of the road. The cars go pretty quickly. TFTC.
I was out for the day with Supernanny and we were heading towards Silverdale and we happened to be drivng right past this cache so I did a quick park and grab.
Up in the area for a meeting this arvo from the sunny headquarters of N Z, aka Blenheim and the South Island. With a grey and dreary outlook, and spells of unwelcome rain, it was still a good chance to find a few caches in an area that I spent 5 weeks in last year and found many caches. But there are always more to find!
Meeting up with fellow South Island cacher G H 6 7 1 0 we headed out in the hire car and headed along towards Riverhead then a lazy 'loop' back towards Albany and a 'few' caches as we went along. Started up with the recently placed Riverhead power trail of 5 trads and an unknown followed by a tasting of 11 other trads.
Thanks to all the C O s whose caches we found, all were enjoyed and my decent shoes have been shown what mud is after a few months of dry terrain.
Back onto the main road now and an eye on another (popular) cache further up the road so be rude to miss this one. Q E F as expected from this C O, nice to meet you near Nelson earlier this year.

No worries here today. I'd forgotten about the place here. 29 August 2016 17:26 GH6710 T F T C TheWonderStuff
Out and about for a spot of geocaching this afternoon. Great winter weather for it today. I was passing by this way, heading elsewhere, but decided to stop for this park and grab. Nice to break up the drive and collect a smilie. Cache was detected in the suspected spot for a super quick find. Time to hit the road again. Cheers for the cache placement!
Initially thought this one was down the grass drive just of the road. Had a wander down but seems like it was heading into someones large garden. Back up to the road and soon on the correct path. TFTC
Found with the Westie crew, Jag50, Jard and Rustynz. Mrs Jag50 was on a roll finding another one today.
Out exploring Albany way with "Team Westie" (Jag50, Jard1037, urbangypsynz & rustynz) our navigator said we had to stop for this one, so we did. A quick find by jag50 and we were on our way. Thanks for the hide
While out doing the smile series we could not just drive by and not get some trads. So stopped here with Urbangypsy, Jard, and Rustynz, and began the hunt. We all seemed to be looking in the right spot but only one person could be expected to pick it up. And of course they did.
Was in the area so thought I would go for this one !
Never knew we had any pet cemeteries in Auckland ! Learned something new !
Wasn't where I imagined by the clue ....but followed compass further along road and found it easily !
Thanks TWS !

Had met some friends for coffee this morning and happened to notice the motorway heading back into Auckland was like a car park so decided to grab some caches and attempt to head home later.
We know this place as our dog Rosie is buried here. We haven't visited in a while so decided to pop in. Unfortunately there has been a lot of growth since our last visit and although we spent a long time looking we couldn't find her . We left a note to say hello to Dave and Jackie and they have texted us back to say her plaque was quite hidden by foliage. They will help us to find her next time we are out this way.
Thanks for the the cache which was a nice easy find.

Nice quick find on the way back from Riverhead. We have our own little pet cemetery at home. TFTC
JDScout and are are in Auckland for a few days holiday. We wanted to go to Whangaparoa and both like walking so we headed for Shakespeare park. Next on the agenda was Smile Auckland style. JDScout was a brilliant driver.
The only other traditional found in this area. Well done in placing a cache.

My wife solved the puzzles. I drove her. She got out and signed the car while I negotiated the roads, 3 point turns and u turns.
Saw this pop up last night but knew I couldn't beat Kiwicouple so stopped in this morning on my way to get a few at Silverdale. And yes, another Second-to-Find after KC. TFTC
