Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Joshwa27 ~~
It was time for the traditional post Christmas road trip. The stockings were emptied of presents, feasts were devoured and great times were had with family and friends. Now to get away!Day 4: After an epic sunrise on top of the hill this morning it was time to leave Young and head for Bathurst.A short diversion to visit Woodstock and grab this cache. Thanks Joshwa27 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! On a beautiful day to be out and about, the family and I headed to Cowra today for a spot of caching and, and then headed back to Orange stopping at a couple of smaller townships to check them out. A quick stop here for the cache before moving on again.

The fourth day of geocaching with Team Canary, Brewmaker, Noodles21, ziggiau and Rainbow Spirit. After lots of walking in Wattle Flat on Wednesday, for Thursday we would take it easy and drive up to Cowra for many more solved Joswa caches, that would not require a lot of walking.
On our return back to Bathurst, we also visited some of the beautiful places in between; Carcoar, Blaney and King Plains.
A cache replacement (with CO consent) was needed here.
Logs were signed with the team name BRINTZ. TFTC!

After weeks of puzzling finally in the area to collect on my work. Start at Cowra with a Parkrun at 8 and then work my way to Bathurst. Also picking up the traditionals of course. Day started wet, but that doesn't stop me.

Found on a Bathurst trip away. The focus of the trip was to spot trigs but we managed to also collect a few interesting caches along the way. Always good to sign a "History of" cache. TFTC Joshwa27
On the way to Bathurst with GLISS! for a spot of caching. Detoured in here for a GCA and a coveted history of (I am trying to get the set). Thanks for a lesson on the little old town of Woodstock. Thanks for the cache.
Today I managed to find 75 Caches for the day with my friend Sui_001 & Loci612. It was an amazing day of caching. We had 2x DNFs for the day. We spent a total of 12 hours caching before I had to head home to do daddy duties. One of the highlights for the day was finding some Persons Tree Frogs near one of the caches that we found. Lots of driving to find the caches today. In fact it was 636 kms in total. I love geocaching so much and the friends I have made along the way make it all worthwhile. Thanks for all the caches and sorry for the generic log for this cache, but with 75 finds today it is hard to write a different one for each cache.

THANKS FOR THE CACHE AND THE ADVENTURE. I HAVE INCLUDED SOME RAMDOM PHOTOS WITH THIS LOG. THE PHOTOS ARE NOT ABOUT THIS CACHE SO NO POINT LOOKING AT THEM THINKING THAT THEY ARE A SPOILER PHOTO.

Geocache Poem
By DARKSIDEDAN
My endless search goes on and on
Looking for treasures of every kind
Always chasing just one more find
Putting past DNF’s out of my mind
I step out into the world outside,
Seeking what is hidden from me
What size, shape or form will it be?
Only time will tell, I can’t wait to see
Will I find my prize at the end?
I will search in the failing light and cold
Filling with despair having looked everywhere
Where is this thing that gives my life pleasure?
Looking all around from every angle
I read the logs and check the hint
I curse out loud as I walk in circles
Screaming the bloody thing it not there
As time flies by and I fail to see,
Never once stopping to realize
It always been there before my eyes
No need for sorrow, there’s the Geocache.

I am currently writing more detailed logs than usual. This is because of a challenge provided by Project-GC called "The Author" Badge. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to write an average of one hundred words or more in each Found It log. As of 9th November 2020 my average was 160 words per log, which seems close to the 200 words per log target. However given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After 7600 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 160 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before this year ends. Progress has been better than anticipated.

**Today:**
Another History puzzle solved and found! Thanks
---
*ALL CACHES signed as " **AB!** " for Adventure Boys! which today included Loci612, DSD and Sui_001 to save time and space in logs, and also dated 21/6 at minimum.*
With a day off work, myself, DSD and Sui_001 decided on a daytrip to tackle a small section of the "TRLT" series, and surrounding caches. We left Canberra at 6am and got back at 6pm sharp making it a 12 hour round trip! I managed to bag 70 finds for the day, a huge amount can't remember the last time I got that many without being at a mega event anyway!
It was a very successful day, with only one DNF from memory and a couple others skipped due to having along strings of them. My favourite part was driving up Mount Macquarie with spectacular views! We visited towns such as Cowra, Woodstock, Lyndhurst, Carcoar, Blayney, Barry and Neville.
Thanks to all CO's!

What an adventure. Found it, and had a great time.
The robot clicked disapprovingly, gurgled briefly inside its cubical interior and extruded a pony glass of brownish liquid. "Sir, you will undoubtedly end up in a drunkard's grave, dead of hepatic cirrhosis," it informed me virtuously as it returned my ID card. I glared as I pushed the glass across the table.
He heard the loud impact before he ever saw the result. It had been so loud that it had actually made him jump back in his seat. As soon as he recovered from the surprise, he saw the crack in the windshield. It seemed to be an analogy of the current condition of his life.
She asked the question even though she didn't really want to hear the answer. It was a no-win situation since she already knew. If he told the truth, she'd get confirmation of her worst fears. If he lied, she'd know that he wasn't who she thought he was which would be almost as bad. Yet she asked the question anyway and waited for his answer.
Spending time at national parks can be an exciting adventure, but this wasn't the type of excitement she was hoping to experience. As she contemplated the situation she found herself in, she knew she'd gotten herself in a little more than she bargained for. It wasn't often that she found herself in a tree staring down at a pack of wolves that were looking to make her their next meal.

Worked out the cords some time ago and had the opportunity to log a find today on my way to Wyangala Dam. Thanks for all your hard work in placing the "History of ....." caches JOSHWA27
I worked this out last night. Possibly the easiest of the History caches I have done, as all the answers were found quickly and the checker confirmed the correct coordinates.
Today approaching GZ, I cautiously walked through the long grass of the dry creek. Cache and log are good. TFTC Joshwa27.

A surprise visit to *Woodstock* wasn't expecting to come here but I was close enough and the lure of a *Joshwa* cache was too aluring. Quickly had CIH. Log signed in either our names or our initials in some switcheroo form of LP, DJJ, ToC and then returned cache to its hide'y hole exactly as found.
**The Day**
OCW *Little Panther* and *DustyJapserJet*. Leaving *Binalong* for the backwaters of *Wyangala* today. Cruised down to Binalong to undertake some cache maintenance between here and Wyangala, plus a short few days camping. Want to stay longer but we have a three day Scout hike commitment

It was time to return and try to finish off the remaining TRLT series with Rapidlywild. Probably not the best time to go with rain and snow forecast, but we have never let the weather stop us before. So packed all the winter woollies, thermals, gloves and beanies and off we went.
We nearly got all the elements over the weekend even in one day snow, rain, fog, sun and wind but there was also some pleasant weather thrown in there for good measure. Roads in some places were a little hair raising but the trusty 4WD got us through safe and sound.
With permission from some of the cache owners we replaced saturated logs and on a few occasions caches.
All in all a good and successful long weekend away, lovely looking countryside and views along the way.
Another History of ticked off today.
Thanks for the hide Joshwa27 and thanks for another fun filled weekend away RWLD.

Last month, FFLL and I begun the tackle against the TRLT series and managed to get a huge chunk done. Well, we decided we wanted to get it finished so with snow on the forecast, we bit the bullet and packed the thermals and set off to have some fun. We had rain, fog, frost and even snow but it was an awesome weekend for sure We reached out to the cache owners of the ones we had to complete to inform them of our intentions and also advise that we were happy to complete replacement maintenance if required, so we came across a few that after extensive searches, we didnt locate, so we replaced as approved by the CO. A large number of replacement log sheets left along the way also to assist with the caches with soggy log books.
Lots of places visited across the weekend, including lots of old churches and old cemeteries across the land. Another "History Of..." to check off, no issues with the hide here.
Thanks for the hide Joshwa27 And thanks to the FFLL ladies for another fun weekend out and about the TRLT trails and others

Port Macquarie heading to Millicent.
Todays trip was from Bathurst - West Wyalong for a coupke of days to attend a funeral, no caching done here as we had found them all on a previous trip.
We did stop along the way at numerous small towns & locations to find a few caches. This is a great way to break up the trip.
A small detour to a town of Woodstock, didn't know that we had a town in Australia called Woodstock. Certainly worth the few extra Klms.

On the return today to continue the TRLT series – a very worm day today – did some AGC trigs 1st so this was the 5th completed GC cache today – many thanks for the nice long drive today & thanks for the history of the area TFTC / TFTH / SL
With the questions answered we made the find in a pretty area beside the roadside entrance. TFTC
Found 2:49 pm with partner while visiting her parents in Woodstock. We are staying in Woodstock visiting my partners family for the weekend. They knew some of the answers. This cache is nearby but since the plan is to do more than one cache and today the weather is cold we drove this is now the third cache. I worked out the information at the earlier cache and then we headed to GZ which was quite fortuitous for us without going into any details. Did not take too long to locate the container and is also not possible to put a TB. Signed the log and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache.

The drive out from Lyndhurst was worth it for the beauty of the setting and the town of Woodstock. Thanks for bringing us here.

Hill End and Mudgee weekend April 2018. I set out late on Thursday after a small car battery issue. I only stopped once before a night at Bummeroo ford. Friday took me to Orange via many spread out caches between Oberon and Bathurst. I spent the night at Macquarie woods. Saturday started foggy and then warmed up. I was heading to Hill end, and did make it, but I had to give up on the Bridle track due to a rockfall. Late in the evening I did find a spot along the Turon river and the very bumpy northern section of the Bridle trail. Sunday had me finishing the TRLT trail from Mudgee to Gulgong and a few missed ones in the middle of nowhere. The last day was a simple drive home from Sofala. A great weekend !
The last day of this trip was for heading home, but I still managed to stop a few times.
Thanks.

Woodstock wasn't nice to me tonight.
Another DNF here despite searching all the nearby spots.
Another DNF here despite searching all the nearby spots.
I was quite confused about this one, but I had punched in erroneous coords into the GPS. As the Led Zep song goes..."Nobody's fault but mine..."
This was another unexpected stop but luckily I had solved the puzzle just in case and had this history cache quickly in hand.
Thanks Joshwa27.

Not again. Only this time I suspect we meet the Muggle who is taking it. After giving up we were approached by an old local who cares for the area and was busy planting some extra trees. Awkward conversation where he never realy asked what we were doing, but might of well have...

The last day of 23 of our caching trip to Alice Springs, finding 300 caches in total. This was find #3 for the day.
Today we drove from West Wyalong to home. I decided to make it an Unknown Cache only day and I had solved a whole heap in preparation!?!
A really pretty drive to a lovely park that I took an interesting way to through the old work sheds. Nice and easy to find.

Beautiful day outing for geocaching and we are on way to Cowra. Found caches with dolphia and skyejam. thanks for leading us here
On a beautiful hot sunny day about 30 deg, we arrived here and found the cache on the way to Cowra. Thanks joshwa27 for bringing us here.
Another DNF in the "History of" series that we have been enjoying. We looked in the middle log in the rather obvious spot, but with the obvious signs of some recent gardening, I would suspect it has gone...
Had the right coordinates and the clue matched where we were but no luck on this one today.
On a run with LuckyL10n up around these parts to grab a few of these neat History of caches. Had a lot of fun researching the info and learning a little about the area. Once at GZ, the cache was found after a short search.
Thanks Joshwa27……great little series.

#4641 - 10:35; Out on a day run from Canberra to Carcoar and return with Sol de lune, primarily to collect caches in the History of..... series and the Harry Potter series. Our route had taken us through Boorowa and then on to Murringo to what would become a familiar sight for us throughout the day, a cemetery. We were now past Cowra on the Mid Western Highway, headed towards Carcoar when we stopped off at Woodstock to collect a couple of caches there. This was the first and a nice easy find, having done our homework before the trip. TFTC Joshwa27
Researching the history was not hard for this one and the checker agreed, so we decided to pick it up on our weekend away. It was a typical hide on a nice quiet road and was easy to find. The log was then signed and the cache was replaced where it had been found. Thank you Joshwa27 for placing another cache in the History of ........ series.
Winglens were developing a bit of an obsession with these 'history of' caches, so I spent some time solving another bunch last night for the journey home, and then solved a couple more while on the road. Thanks Joshwa.
10911. Found during a slightly delayed two day Queens Birthday long weekend run up through the Cowra region.
With so many new caches up this way I headed off early this morning loaded up with many solved puzzles and also with a few Multis in my sights as well. About 2 and 1/2 hours after leaving Canberra I arrived at the first cache on my list. With the usual good coords of a History Of cache I had a quick search and find at GZ. I was very surprised to see a blank log as well - continuing on from last weekends haul of first finds here was another *FTF* - awesome ! Signed, returned, and it was off to the next one.
Thanks Joshwa27 !! First of many over the next two days !
