Whew, glad I had my Motorhome parked in front of GZ, gave me loads of cover as I searched for this cleverly camouflaged cache. TFTC.
Standing here 'hovering' around the correct spot but could not see it ...Turns out when its feeling stormy and your enjoying your coffee at the boundary of the water source and not really even looking for the cache anymore it becomes a little easier .. i clearly am not very Clever, but got there in the end.TFTC
Had a look around prior to the WWFM event. Couldn't spot it and needed to be inside for attendance. After the event, we came back for a second go. A bit of spitting rain didn't deter me as I expanded my search, and it was quickly found. Thank god for the waterproof paper. TFTC
Sydney to Melbourne Meander. Day Seven: Day trip to Phillip Island. Weather: Another perfect geocaching day.Google maps has taken me on a seemingly very circuitous route back to the M1 from Phillip Island, supposedly to avoid roadworks, but at the same time taking me into roadworks. The silver lining is that I got to stop here for fuel, and when I checked to see if perchance there was a cache on the premises, there was. A quick find in the dark too. Hard to tell if any of the nearby trucks were occupied, and if so, if their drivers were awake and watching me.Thanks for this hide don55.
Hi don55, We found your 2.5 2.0 Micro Traditional OFFICER BP INBOUND/WESTBOUND on 2/4/2024.Find 3021 for BFMC.On our way home from Easter in Eagle Point, made our second stop here. Upon checking the map I realised we had found outbound, but not inbound. While F & M headed inside to the conveniences B wandered out amongst the trucks, just as the rain started to come down. Picked the wrong target at first, but soon repositioned and made a quick find. TFTC.
Today we had a run to Pakenham to deliver some furniture to my Uncle. As we were driving u the freeway on the return journey Neville_devil and I thought we would stop for a quick look to see if we could spot this little guy.I have stopped her before but that time I was cache blind and missed finding the cache. This time I managed to spot the hide after a a short hunt.Thank you don55 for the hide
Im surprised I hadnt found this one before now. Nice container. All in good order. Thanks for another smiley.

We pulled into the BP about 15 mins before the 3am scheduled 'flash mob' event. Great! That gives us time to grab this trad, and especially as I was with previous finders.
Wait a minute, who's that following us? Why are they following us to the back of the BP? Shouldn't they be around the front?
We were hoping they were fellow cachers, but no one in our car recognised them, and who else would come out at crazy o'clock?? Oh well, we got out of the car looking sheepish, but no worries, it was rex46 & dot558. They hadn't checked if there was a cache nearby, they just took their luck that we were going to the event!
Anyway, it wasn't long (though longer than it should have) until the clever camo'ed container was finally spotted and the log was being signed.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this hide for our geo-enjoyment don55. Cache on!

Trip to Airport to pick up daughter from OS trip - flight delayed so ducked in for coffee and cache. Coords good and found a nicely blended cache just hanging there. A challenging spot to be discreet with so many trucks nearby but checked and no one in them - they must have been getting coffee too Tftc don55
We had DNF'ed this one once before and we had been waiting to get another opportunity.
Today, we were too close to ignore it so we dropped in.
Again it took us a long time to find it but eventually we brushed something the right way and the well camouflaged cache was revealed.
Thanks don55 for the cache and the challenge.
Chiefton!!!

Found it! Nice quick easy find this evening! Which was not how things went on our last visit in daylight. Must have forgot to log a DNF, I usually do when I can’t find a cache. Anyway it was nice to cap off the afternoon with another smiley! TFTC SL And yes it was hanging just over there!
On the way back from the frustrating piggy series I pulled over here for some respite. Need to really think about it until I paid the fine patient Essendon fission well-placed thanks for bringing me here
Out on my own today picking up the caches that I have solved the puzzles of. Called into this one on my home. Need to end of a smiley. Found a suspious container at first but after opening it moved on. Took a bit of searching but the hint proved to be true. Excellent safe hide don55
Fuelled with coffee from back in Trafalgar and on our way west, then north towards the Whittlesea MEGA, Team Gruidae and I paused here for a quick search. This one took a while to find, as expected given the previous logs, but TG came up with the goods. TFTC don55
Our second stop on the way to the Whittlesea Mega, this cache really had us searching. The most obvious places left us empty handed, until I really had a think about where I would hide it and we finally made the find. TFTC!

World Wide Flash Mob!
As the flashmob event ended in typical leisurely fashion (one day we'll flash in and out, but this is not that day), a group of us took an equally leisurely stroll out the back. Not looking suss at all...
And could we find the container? Er, nope. So we took a leisurely stroll back and gathered up a few previous finders who also initially couldn't locate the thing, until one took a proper look where others had sorta.
Thanks, don55, for some fun at ridiculous o'clock.

How many Geocachers does it take to find a cache.. well as it turns out .. LOTS! As Bookhawk said.. “the things you do at 3am!” Thanks don55 for adding to the fun after the WWFM event
I found myself out this way driving back from visiting a friend and needed a rest break from all the driving. Ofcourse I checked my map to see if there was a cache here and no surprises there was one.
Hmmm, shouldn't be this hard to find it should it. After 10 mins of looking in all the wrong places I had a rethink and just like that the cache showed itself. Nice clean replacement logbook for me to sign in.
After a quick coffee and a bite to eat, I was again, homebound.
Thank you for the cache here don55

Heading to the other side of the city today, and needed to stop for fuel. I left hubby filling up while I ducked over to GZ.
Unfortunately I didn't come up with the goods this time....

I remember when this geocache got released, I headed down to check it out within the first week. I had expected possible truck drivers watching me, but couldn't believe it when I arrived onsite and there was a fisherman in a little dingy fishing on the pond watching me. As such I took off without really looking. Wow, that was over 5 years ago now. Since that time, I've driven past heaps thinking maybe 1 day I'll stop again.
Today was that day as I had to meet someone here. Had tried to get here early but the traffic was too much. Spent 10 minutes with no luck before my contact arrived and I called a PAF. He may have said "Memory like a sieve" but the hint helped us find it pretty quickly in a place I had already looked.
Thanks for the cache Don 55

It burns me up how long it took to find this thing. Second try and almost had to return for a third but my determination paid off. Sweet little container that's literally just hanging there.

Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis is the longest word in the English language. It is a medical condition, called Pneumoconiosis that is specifically caused by inhalation of very fine silicate or quartz dust. The challenge today was to find a cache with the first letter of each cache title to match each letter in this word. Why would I do this? Well, because there is a challenge of course (see GC5EWGV, Scrabble Challenge-Beckworth Beckons).
So, a LOT of planning went into this day. You see, there are 45 letters in this word alone, which meant identifying 45 different caches that I would have to find, one each starting with each of these letters, aacccccceiiiiiilllmmnnnnooooooooopprrsssstuuv. That’s 14 different letters and just for good measure, I identified a bonus cache for each letter, for when the inevitable DNFs were to happen. Which means there were now 59 caches on my list for the day, spread out from Maryknoll, to Berwick, Cranbourne, Lysterfield, Lilydale, Woori Yallock and then into the Dandenongs. I expected it to take me most of the day but in the end, because of 9 DNFs and a number of times where I had to hastily look for other options, I only finished it with minutes to spare before midnight.
The letter O was a difficult one to find, thankfully there is a glut of them around Lilydale, and with some others here and there, I was able to find the numbers I needed and with no DNFs on any of them I didn’t need to resort to my back up cache today.
This one gave me a bit of trouble, and with an audience of truck drivers looking on, it didn't make it any easier. Thankfully I finally tilted my head at the right angle and in the right spot and spotted the sneaky hide. TFTC, another O off my list!

Today’s mission was for me and my daughter’s boy friend to pilot my brother-in-law and his wife from Melbourne’s Western suburbs to the Koo Wee Rup turn off, on their way to Phillip Island. The complementary plan was for us to lead them as far as the Bass Hwy, near Koo Wee Rup, with the ulterior motive of picking up a couple of other, conveniently located, caches between there and this cache on our return journey.
As Murphy would have it, this basically good plan went a bit astray when the traffic jam, caused by the prang just before the Cardinia off ramp, resulted in a bike overheating issue that had us sipping a coffee at this service centre’s sister across the freeway, while the brother-in-law and his wife proceeded on their way without our assistance and the poor overheated bike cooled.
Coffee finished and with assurances that the requirement for our navigational skills had become redundant, we headed off to do a U-turn at the Cardinia interchange and head back here to hopefully find one of the three caches I had planned to hunt today.
Having mis-judged a tiny bit, we parked the bikes a little short of GZ, but no big deal. After our short walk to the general area of GZ, I quickly read a few logs to see if I could discover some enlightenment. Hmmm, some interesting logs, with what looked like it might be useful information.
With my iPhone telling me GZ was 2M behind me, while I was looking at the obvious, but not right, spot, the discussion began about how long we should spend hunting, as the cache was not revealing itself in any of the not so obvious spots.
With three DNFs immediately preceding our hunt and despite a positive CO’s maintenance log, we weren’t particularly optimistic of making the find today. Daughter’s boyfriend: “...a lot of those logs said they took longer than they should have to find”: Me: “...as long as it doesn’t take longer than it should have to not find it” - just as the cache popped into my line of sight. It was not quite what I expected and well camouflaged. Cache retrieved, log signed and returned to its home. A FP from me.
The cache is in good condition.

I never have enough time to look for this. Muggle fisher hubby only gives me the time he takes to fill the car. He went to a high flow on purpose so I didn't have a lot of time. Unfortunately not enough time to find it oh well maybe next year.
No luck here this morning (not for the first time). This one just keeps eluding me.
Apologies for the late log. A long day of driving with the initial target being my final page on the Victorian Country Road Atlas challenge. Once that was ticked off I started heading for home with enough time to stop for selected caches along the way. After 800km I was on the home stretch here. My last task of the day after grabbing some food in Pakenham was to try to avenge a previous DNF here. Since my last visit I had a tip from a previous finder which was great help in steering me in the right direction. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache don55. Good to tick this one off the list at last!
Try as I might I could not find your little cache and my driver was getting antsy. Maybe next time.
Bored in a house......in a house bored.
Decided to grab a couple of caches and some Macca's. Nice day out for it. sat and pondered for a bit looked in obvious places but no. Read through a few messages and got a hint. Very well done nicely tagged. Found, signed and replaced
BTW in this time of Covid 19 I have been wearing disposable gloves, so no problems there

Stopped in on the way home from seeing the tax man in Pakenham, hubby unusually ready to help search. GPS said here, no there, and back again. The hint made it easy knowing where to look, and hubby beat me to it. I love a cache that cannot move. Log very damp. Loved seeing the trucks parked here. Thanks kindly.
Second time visiting this service station, still couldn’t find it. Maybe I shouldn’t look for it at night. Will give it another go at day time.
I have found the cache on the other side of the freeway but not this one. I was passing today so managed to stop to give it a try but it wasn't to be today as I couldn't make the find. Thanks anyway.
This took far longer than it should have, especially considering that there were four of us looking. A quick call and armed with a hint, we made the find. Mighty cold here at 3.30am.
Thanks for the cache.

Our last stop on the way into Melbourne, and another county down. Took a bit of a search from all 4 of us though the tadpoles quickly tired of it and returned to their travel devices. I was convinced it would be in a particular spot but Mrs Froggycache persevered elsewhere and came up with the goods.

I managed to convince my parents to let me have a go at this one, after pulling in to this service station countless times before. But it was harder than expected, so I gave up after a few minutes in order not to keep my family waiting too long. Not to worry, there's plenty of opportunities to find this one. Thanks anyway!
A quick revisit while breaking up the drive - toliet, coffee, cache. Found with my daughter JK.
Bugs me sitting there knowing there is a souvenir up for grabs & l should have gone out early. But knowing we were heading out, l saved this one for just this kind of day. Good co-ordinates got us there but a little but more thinking had us eventually looking in the right spot. Quite relieved that l followed my geo gut and had the hip hop hooray we were after. Thank you for this placement & we were lucky enough we had no eyes watching us. Happy New Year.

Found by Mary & David at 1510. After celebrating early Fathers day yesterday with our family, we headed off this morning to Pink Piggy's "Dads' Day Breakfast Event'. A long way from maccamob HQ, so there are always caches for us around this side of Melbourne. We have looked for this one before, but had a DNF. Wanting to add to my cache count, and get closer to maybe score a world turtle and get nab a dragon for LouiseAnn, we headed to pick up some Pretzel caches.
On the way back to drop LouiseAnn off at an event, we stopped along the trip back to get just one more. It turned out to be more than we bargained for, as we couldn't find it. After a few minutes, the PAF action plan was put into play, and we got some information that let me to the find.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.

We had a call from Roostaman saying that he was heading our way and having a bigger van than previously he wasn't sure if he would fit into our street so an alternate plan was made to meet at the McDonalds here for coffee.
We pulled up next to them and after saying our hello's we decided that we would go and search for this cache while there wasn't too many people around and with a bit of a feeling of de-ja-vue we headed to gz where the cache was found after a brief search and our names were added to the log.
The area looked extremely familiar and we aren't sure if we had a dnf or signed the log and forgot to log online but either way the paperwork has finally been finished.
Thanks don55 for the cache.

2nd visit here. After deciding the GPS and satellite image could not possibly fit the hint I put the phone away and thought about where I'd hide a cache. I see a few logs saying spot on. Certainly close enough. It was good fun finding this one and ticking it off my close to home radius. Even stopped to enjoy some duck watching. Thanks don55
Doing a maintenance run on the caravan - Melbourne to Sale. Overnight at Sale Showgrounds RV caravan park @ $22p.n. with power and water. Whatelse do you do on the way home to break up the drive. After waiting an hour this morning to start the 5mins of work, off we went much later than expected. So less caches to find.
Quick driver change over, dunny visit, and cache revisit from 18 months ago. Same log still had my name in it . Cache in perfect condition.

The end of a days caching with Spiffy- and I had to get petrol... and whats this... a cache here too! Short search and it was found. Cool container. Thanks to don55 for placing this cache.
Our third for the day on our way home from the events at Nyora and Bass.
A clever hide which Muggle Hubby uncovered after I'd pointed him in the right direction. Your coordinates were spot on. He'd filled up his car whilst I began the search, and I'd eliminated all other possibilities before he joined me. Only one spot left that I couldn't reach, but my hero wins again! Having seen others who'd had several efforts before it was found, we were very pleased to have located it on our first visit.
Thanks for another chance to stretch our legs to break the journey home.

I think that this was my second go at this one. I can see how I missed it last time.
Starting the long journey home to SA after completing the Victorian Country Road Atlas Challenge. TFTC.
Stopped and had something eat and decided to try again third time lucky and we had it tftc
Headed to Pakenham and back in the same day for work.
Managed to stop at 4 caches but only found 2 on the inwards journey and then had 2 DNFs on the outwards journey.
DNF! Two things usually lead toi a DNF for me: tiredness and time constraints!
Time was the enemy here and with very limited time, I had a quick glance around and then had to leave
Hopefully one day, I'll be back!
TFTC don55
