We are off on a trip to the Birdsville Races and then across to Queensland - the plan is for about 6 weeks of travel - all going well.
Week 1 we have travelled from Portland to Farrell's Flat near Clare.
Day 9 we packed up our camp and ventured 50kms to the town of Spalding that is sadly lacking in tennis equipment.

After an early lunch we jumped on the bikes and started the channel caches. What an unusual change from rail trail rides - very rural and the cache placements were generally really easy to get to from the bike tracks.

After we had completed this section of the channel we took the slight detour to collect this one.
Thanks for contributing to our holiday TheKellyGang

Travelling with richlink from Perth to Darwin up along the west coast and home again through the centre and the Nullarbor, picking up caches as we go. Based in Peterborough, we are exploring some of the surrounding areas. While the boys were peddling along the Mid North Channel, we girls were picking up a few caches of our own TFTC KellyGang the old knees are getting a workout today.

Travelling with iluvtrekking up the WA coast to Darwin, down the Centre and in the Flinders. Basing ourselves in Peterborough for a few days to grab finds in the surrounds. The Geo-men decided on a biking day so they were dropped off while Mrs ILT and I cached around the area. Thanks The KellyGang

Day 3 of my short Geocaching weekend. Today I left White Cliffs Reserve zigzagging along the way finding what caches I had not found and ended up stopping in Yongala for the night.

Had to back track to this one as forgot to get it when on this side of town. A surprisingly quick fiond for this type of object for me.

A return visit to Clare was planned for the long weekend with the JAMS crew plus tallbikestan to find a lot of the caches that we didn't get to on our last visit along with the Rattler, Riesling and NE trails as well as the Mid North Channel Country trail. [^]

We had three very full days with perfect weather for caching, lots of bike riding, lots of walking and lots of driving along dirt tracks. We were lucky it had not recently been wet as some of the roads we drove on would not have been passable if wet. Loved the scenery at this time of year with everything looking very green as well as the bright yellow of the canola crops. Big Grin

A fun weekend of caching, lots of caches found and lots of cool places visited. Cool

Thanks for the cache TheKellyGang. Smile

A big long weekend with the JAMS Crew (JJ52, allister w(me), mogni, Sir Spectre and tallbikestan). We road from Riverton to Stanley Flat on day 1. Then more riding near Spalding on day 2. Then finished the weekend with finding caches around the area in the car. TFTC

02-Oct-22
The JAMS team ( JJ52,Allister w, Mogni, and sir_spectre minus mitchell&hound ) but Tallbikestan was with us instead and we where out for there usually monthly caching adventure. This time it was over the october long weekend instead of the usual day trip. The taget this time was Drop into the Light a long ladder cache on the way to clare and then to clear the Rattler trail, Riesling Trail, Ne Trail saturday on the bikes and then sunday do the Mid North Channel Country bike trail. Monday on the return home was to get Peter's view a 2001 cache. Of course there was many, many other's found on route to the various target for the weekend, somewhere around 260 found by the team. It could have been more but we were not going at a flat out pace, just steady and getting a blow out on the bike 1.6 km's from the end of the Mid North Channel Country bike trail didn't help. I didn't see any snakes this trip but allister did, he saw 5. The caches this trip where written in as JAMS, i forgot the stamps. Also 1 cache was placed by the JAMS team this trip. Out of all the bike tracks i preferred the Rattler /Riesling trail. I like riding through the very rich ( after all the recent rains ) fields of yellow flowers.

Stopped last this one today, an interesting old tractor, thanks to the hint the cache was a quick and easy find

Since being in the area for the June Long weekend in Clare today we headed north with Michells&Hound to go for a nice walk in Spalding and find a few caches along the way.

Thanks for the cache

11-Jun-22
Came down to Clare for the JWLE not to play the game but to play the geocaching game. Didn’t have much of a plan so when Courtney Rose and Gridge98 asked me if I wanted to tag along with them to cache around Spalding I said a big YES.
We found some great caches and did a fair bit of walking. Then back to Clare for the juggling flash mob very Carnivale.
After the flash mob I headed out on my own to pick up some caches south of Clare and to do the Carendo adventure lab. On the way stopped for a cleansing ale at Pikes with CoCo Pops.
Arrived back to Clare after dark had my only dnf of the day and then on to collect my curry and back to my super deluxe accommodation for a well earned rest.
Big thanks to all the CO and of course the JLWE Committee for a fun day.
Thankfully a quick fun find here TFTC KellyGang

Visiting Auburn to catch up with SpudBex. Today we headed off for Mr Felix to ride his bike along the Mid North Channel caches.Of course we had to stop before and after, [:o)] all in all we ended up with 52 smilies and 1 bee sting from a cache we ended up not attempting.

More spots that we would not have visited without Geocaching taking us along for the explore.

I am cycling the Mawson Trail from Blinman and Adelaide which has provided the opportunity to pick up a few geocaches along the way. This one was a reasonably straightforward find, being in an obvious position on the coordinates. Thank you TheKellyGang for installing and maintaining this cache. I was also pleased to have the opportunity to inspect the nearby stone building which I think might be the old Railways Barracks.

24-Feb-19
This was predicted to be another hot day, so we headed out of Peterborough and set our sights on the Clare Valley area, as did ilook4geo. Some caches were picked out for the hunt list and represented the towns and districts that we travelled through. It was a mix of types today, with traditionals, a multi and a virtual.
Each cache had its log signed with two more names and photos were taken for the virtual.
This cache was a nice easy find. Thanks go to TheKellyGang for adding this cache to the game.

As our holiday is almost finished now, we are just tiki-touring around the local countryside picking up as many caches as we can. Hot weather is forecast so travelling in the air conditioned car is the preferable way to get around today.

Had to do this one for my father. Cache was found on the ground so was replaced as required once logbook signed. tftc

Heading down from Cameron Corner slowly making my way south I found so many caches in Orroroo that I decided to camp the night and grab some more before I left this morning.
That completed I was again heading south.
I pulled up here and the tree was in full blossom just as when it was hidden. After a search that showed nothing I read the cache page and noticed the terrain rating and soon spotted the hide.
Too soon after operations to try this one today but I will remember to check the terrain rating before searching next time.
Thanks anyway Moneydork.

After a DNF at Little Toot Toot I came to try my luck on this one. This time my luck was much better and the cache was a nice easy find and our name has been added to the log.

Hi there TheKellyGang.

We found your cache **"Fordson"** at 12:48:00 PM today. (This makes our find count 16101).

Our trek today took us from Gladstone to Spalding and back via the "next closest" route as determined by our GPS. On our trek we found a variety of container types. We ended up finding 15 caches with 1 DNF's.

Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

#6401 - 09:30; Day 6 of the Alice Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune and now albida33 who joined us this morning for the rest of the trip. After a second night in Burra, we were now caching our way to Port Augusta via Spalding, Gulnare, Crystal Brook, Port Pirie, Napperby, Weeroona Island and Baroota. We had reached Spalding and it was two out of two pieces of machinery, not always a pleasant experience for me! No problems with this one though and the cache was quickly found.
