Together with Travelser I'm going Down Under. We are driving around with a motorhome. After 7 weeks driving around through Australia we arrived the 2th November in New Zealand. For ten days we will cross the Northern Island and than for 2 weeks the Southern Island.During our trip we of course search for several caches. Most of them brought us to very nice spots, like this one.All the CO's, and in this case NewlynFam, thanks for bringing us here and give our trip a special accent.
After traveling around Australia with Oopie for 7 weeks, we have now been traveling with the camper in New Zealand for 4 weeks. Along the way we will of course also visit various types of caches in beautiful places, including this one. Thanks CO for creating and laying this cache.
Easy find, didn’t look at the hint but when we seen the hint we found it straight away the log book needs to be replaced

Roaming around in the area and we couldn't just drive by this cache without a quick stop to collect it. Nice quick find and we were off on our way again. TFTC

Last peeps left it sunny side up so was easier than usual mutha goodie in this series
I've certainly been around the block a few times so while we were here for the mega it made sense to go round this one. Tftc
Arrived at gz and it wasnt long before we were signing the log.

Moved on to this one after finding Scenic Route #15 nearby. With a decent sized group of cachers here it didn't take long for one of the group to spot the cleverly camoed cache. TFTC!!
Liked the camo here but it didn’t fool our cacophony of cachers for long. Such a hot day to be out and about. I had to leave the car running each time Lumin298 and I stopped otherwise it was a sauna again by the time we got back! Thanks for the not-at-all-a-turn-off cache!
Signed the nice fresh log - first Mega finders today which was a bit of a surprise. TFTC # 17,946
22 January 2022 13:45. GSEL graciously allowed me to find this one before turning round and heading off in search of ice cream to recover on this stinkingly hot day. Tftc NewlynFam
Found while working in the area, like this one, allok here but log falling apart, have replaced with waterproof log.

The log is starting to disintegrate and unfortunately I had already put my spare log paper in another cache.
Nice and easy park and find. Log book needs some.maintenance as its very soggy. Found with Reny90
Nice camo job on the cache. On our back to tauranga doing the scenic route via kawakawa bay. Tftc
Had a bit of time to spare so headed out with cragger and laval to collect some local caches.
Took us a moment or two to locate the correct spot. It’s a little overgrown which is great because it has a bit more cover. Found the clever camo though...didn’t fool us today.
Thanks for the cache - fav point for the camo - we liked this one.

Find number 4586. Thankfully I chose the right place first time. Took the cache back to the car for signing. After placing it on the seating I noticed ants everywhere. Quickly moved it to the ground and swept the others out. Thank you for the placement.
#6297. A busy morning but my plans changed in the afternoon after a meeting I was due to attend was cancelled. So making my way back slowly to Auckland airport stopping here and there on the way to grab some caches. This was one of them. The traffic on these rural roads was outrageous later in the day. Couldn't believe how many cars there were, all driving bumper to bumper. Parking here was not too flash. Didn't want to go too far off the seal as looked muddy in the wet grass but also didn't want to impede the traffic. Raced over to the GZ. Not in the first few spots checked but didn't take too long to locate. Good camo. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks NewlynFam for the cache.
Jumped on my bike to do some trip in the area. Ended with 33km on the clock. Found some caches. This one was one of them. Nice and plesant. Thanks for placing them and maintaining.
Another nice day of cashing for the Hidden creatures challenge. I really like this scenic route series, the caches are creative, there was put much effort in their camouflage and they can be found easily, which is just nice. . I enjoyed it very much. Nice and easy stop by. TFTC
Hidden creatures challenge... ACCEPTED. Found together with Greenkiwikids and Pyphant. TFTC
With an afternoon start to the work day down Manukau way I thought I would take the scenic route this morning and find some hides. With a grim sounding weather forecast the focus was on park and grabs. Though, as it turns out, I didn't have much in the way of weather issues during my two hour, or so, finding stint. However, my choice of gumboots as footwear proved very sensible as it was rather wet underfoot in most places. I parked up in the tight parking spot then crossed over the road to look for the hide. Tried a few spots before getting the right one. Nice effort on the camo here. Cheers for the cache placement!
Out driving the Scenic Route today to boost our caching tally for this calendar date.
Another quick find and the last cache we collected this afternoon having reached our tally of 15. Thanks, we will return for the rest of the series.

Always handy to have a little car when there isn't much room. No problems in locating the cache. Thanks
Found this time but wasn't here previously when I checked. Thanks for the replacement.
another day out caching with diesel894, there was a few nasty looking spiders protecting this one so i got diesel to get it, tftc
Did some drive-by caching this afternoon together with Doandhopers.

Last find for the day as headed down Mullen Road and home. Showing Godfreyh a back way between Howick and Papakura, (I would use Mill/Alfriston-Brookby Road). Quick find by Godfreyh. SL TNLN. Another new blank log. Not sure when we will do Ardmore to Papakura, back on home turf now. Thanks for the experience and placing these caches. Pity data not available the other side of Brookby.
Doing a quick maintenance run of some of this series today. This one had wandered along a bit. Replaced as intended, fresh log added. Happy caching!
Grabbing some numbers today with TheMexikiwi and found ourselves here so made sense to pull over and try our luck. Nice straightforward find with a good clue and not too much traffic to contend with today. TFTC
Auckland
Today we took the scenic drive, wonderful green country side.
We found some great caches in some wonderful locations.
Thanks for placing this cache NewlynFam

Glad there was some good parking spots while along this straight. Nice camo. TFTC.
I keep on driving past this cache, and decided today would be the day to get it, as its not too far away, and its raining so I don't really want to venture out. Damn stupid goecaching addiction! Luckily it being a wednesday morning and 9am, there aren't too many people around but the ones that are are driving really fast!
Quick tromp across the grass and found this one. After all the rain we have had I think my gumboots may have been more appropriate wear. TFTC
This one sorted the DOT day requirements for today after attempting 2 others that were not able to attempt due to high muggles present.
This one had parking issues but, at least no mugglers.
TFTC.

Had a free day in hand between a stressful week and the In Laws 80th tomorrow followed by a Expo next week, so this was a chance to grab a few caches that have been sitting there far too long.
So in the company of Mr MCC at 5.30am and setting off we headed north for a morning (only having leave passes to mid-afternoon) to see what we could find in the area before the muggles were up and about and we needed to locate caches in slightly less muggle intensive areas.
Today we managed a total of sixty five finds and only 2 DNF's. Not bad considering we were back home by 2.30pm.
A big thanks you to all the CO's for the effort in placing and maintaining these caches. We had a great day with lots of laughs and fun
Sorry for the repetitive logs. Thanks for the placement, Thanks for the cache

Out with Cat & Dragons on a caching finding mission, a quick park n grab
Again signed the wrong date on the log sheet . . . . . . I looked . . . . . and then looked again and woohoo . . . . . FABULOUS HIDE . . . . . another quick find (this time by me) on our way to Maraetai for a few hours this morning . . . . TFTC
Awesome thanks! This one's not far from home, have driven past soooo many times and never know.
Sorry for the delay in logging this cache. We got caught up moving house and have only just got around to catching up on our logs.
Found with purply to fill a dot day in the calendar.

No issues with this cache, nicely hidden too. That'll be 34 caches so far for today, starting to look forward to a nice bottle of wine about now though....
I have set myself a challenge for this year to have at least the same number of caches on each day of my calender as the number of years I have been caching.
This was one of eleven I needed for today.
Cheers for the cache.

With a few hours to spare today before I had to head for the airport and home, I decided to head for this part of the countryside and find a few caches. After a walk around the Clevedon Scenic Reserve, I headed back on the road for a Scenic drive. Kind of started this series in the middle, headed to the beginning and then back to the end. I really enjoyed the variety of caches and hides in this series. Not quite where I initially thought it would be. Headed through the wet grass to the cache. All good there. TFTC, Biggles.
Day 449 of caching and stopped off to grab this cache on the way to helping out with home decoration activities at a friends place this morning. Another quick find, following the geotrail and parking in previous finders tyre tracks, and another nice camo job. TFTC!
