After a short stay here in the high country we were heading home and stopped here to check out the falls. They were recommended by friends and we were not disappointed. THanks for this opportunity Jamin Appleford
Didnt even have the app on at the time and found when we stopped to rest
wellwe think we made the right choicethe plan to tackle bogong was switched back a daywith the forecast of potential downpoursthose downpours poured down in the mid afternoonthick drenching rain that blocked out the mountain view and coated the slopes in a thick white blanket of mistwe are glad were not up the mountain in rain like thatwe barely stay dry sheltering in the carwe waited for the rain to subside and tried to time our runthe valley felt soddenthe air was dense, extracting sweat like a saunathe falls roared with the fresh wateralmost blocking out the thunderthanks for the treasurewe liked these falls
Beautiful falls. Attempted to find the harder cache down the trail but left empty handed. Thanks for having this cache on such a great trail.
Family holiday from SA for some skiing at falls. Day off and decided to take a hike to see fainter falls. Beautiful walk, beautiful falls and a cache found along the way!
TFTC. Nice easy find, fairly dry. Left my pen in the car, so thanks for the pencil!
Great day for a hike up to the falls with the Wackyweedos. Nice find and some great views
Have driven past these falls many times and never had enough time left in the day to stop & explore. Teed up a day trip with TheClazzas specifically to explore them today. What a gem! Thanks for placing & maintaining this cache JA.
Found today with the family while out on a walk along the track. A great spot for a cache, and the kids loved finding it. TFTC
Found and disturbed (small) ants’ nest while moving the rock to get cache. No ants in cache yet.
Absolutely beautiful area. What a stunning river. Cache was inside the plastic bag and visible for all to see. I found the correct camo rock and fixed everything up and placed back in its correct hide.
On our way up to Falls Creek, we spied the sign to the falls. We walked up in solitude and observed the falls. I check my phone to see if any caches were around, and indeed there was. And as soon as I started to search, the muggles came, and kept coming. After admiring the view for some time, eventually the area was muggleless, and I jumped in for a quick find. TFTC.
Found 22/10/2022 at 4.47 PM
The schedule for the day had us headed up to Falls Creek to see if there was any snow left. We did find a little bit of snow, enough to make some snowballs at least.
We decided to stop on the way back down the mountain here to stretch the legs and check out the waterfall.
This really is a stunning part of Victoria and we'll definitely be back here in future.
Thanks Jamin Appleford for placing and maintaining this cache.

Found on the way back from a Falls Creek drive to check out last nights snow fall.
Officially logging this geocache today but we actually found this cache many, many years ago!!
We semi-regularly visit these falls and on one trip, geo-son was looking at the location and excitedly asked “what’s that”?! We’d been introduced to the world of geocaching previous to our initial finding so we knew to leave it. It’s possible we even signed the log!! Now as official geocachers, we were thrilled to be able to sign the book and log this one today. TFTC.

We took the walk up to the falls lookouts and loved it. Such beautiful places in our own backyard (well Victoria anyway)
Saw a resident black snake on the steps down. We steered clear of each other and got along fine. TFTC

Visited today. Disappointed to find the rock hiding the cache was gone leaving the cache exposed. I’ve hidden it again and found a smaller rock to conceal it.
Hopefully future finders can be more responsible and hide the cache better to avoid detection from muggles.

We visited this area today as part of an extended weekend of camping. Our time was limited so we chose a few caches here and there amongst some sightseeing and relaxation. This was a lovely walk to the waterfall.
Thank you for your cache.

Hey we forgot our pen and there wasn't one in the cache but stunning location if someone has seen this can you please add mickand steph 15.10.20?
A quick find here with my muggle friends before one of them made their way to the T 4.5 cache with me. A great scenic lookout here in great company. Have had a magical weekend away here. Although dying to come back to the High Country with some cachers for some more caching adventures. TFTC
Found. Good hints. Beautiful site.TFTC Darwould and Plus Elle from Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
It was about 5C but at least it had stopped raining for a little while.
Nice little track up to the falls - after doing Bogong the day before I wanted something a little on the shorter and easier side, and this was perfect.
Nice falls, quite a bit of water. Especially when crossing the stream on the metal bridge it was very noisy with the running water.
Thanks for the cache.

We had the lookout to ourselves and a quick find was made. Mr CF wandered on further to the next lookout, but the cache above was a step too far!
Have passed by here many times but finally made the trek after hitting the slopes of Falls Creek TFTC

A delightful walk on a beautiful day to come find some caches. Haven’t been here for years so it was good to come back and claim a find.

With the temperature at home well into the forties we decided to have a day in falls creek to get away from it. On the way we stopped here and enjoyed the short walk to the falls. We stopped at the first lookout where the cache was found in good order, then made the short walk across the bride to the second lookout.

On my way from Falls Creek to the Mountain Creek campsite below Mt Bogong I couldn't resist from stopping here for a bit of a walk and a look at the lovely waterfalls. I appreciate very much that CO has included a spoiler photo - very appropriate given the location and the need to avoid damage. Thanks for the cache, the walk and the views! It really shows the importance of the mountain plains as a water reservoir around the year.
going for this cache wasn't planned, as i only had saved caches very close to the road on my gps. but once here, i did the short walk to the lookout and checked the gc map once again. and so i got to logging this one. the container was in it's place but without any camo, so it put a rock back on top. TFTC!
Today after skiing, we decided to go up the track to find the cache. Our muggle friends try and find it first before we showed them where it was. River is definitely roaring down there. Even saw a lyrebird run across the track. TFTC
Beautiful view. One of the best falls we've seen in Australia. TFTC. Wouldn't have bothered to stop otherwise.
great spot, kids loved the falls. geowife found the cache before i got the gps out!
Found it. 1 adult n 3 geokids. Didn’t see a sole for the entire walk until it came time for us to hunt for the geocache.. 3 muggles only stayed briefly then we got back to hunting. Ended up using the spoiler pix and located easily. No pencil inside but left a ribbon that the kids found. A great after school adventure!! Ps pre winter, the walking track is gold for fungi spotting!! Look but don’t touch TFTC!
Visiting the area for the weekend and decided to head up to Fainter Falls for a look. The walk up was simple enough and when we arrived at the lookout I went to look for the cache. With spot on coordinates it was a quick find. Great view of the falls from here. TFTC!
A beautiful spot to visit. Alas we didn’t bring a pen to officially record our visit as this find was a spur of the moment decision
A nice quick find - just had the photo in mind and quickly grabbed without the GPS even being turned on. Will be back one day for the harder one - TFTC

Haven’t been to the falls since the earlier caches along this track were published some years ago. Some more caches to find is good excuse to have another look at the falls.
The track has been well maintained, is much wider and defined than I remember, and looks to have been recently cleaned off. I don’t think there was a single leaf on the path the entire way, maybe I was lucky enough to have visited straight after it had been cleaned off.
I made hard work of finding the cache and went the long way about it (of course, that’s just how cachers do it )
After having a look at the info board I proceeded to follow the arrow, it was pointing 5mt downhill so went down the stairs before circling back through the scrub and over the fence to where I had started looking .
I peek at the spoiler pic and cache was soon in hand.
With cache back in place I continued further on to the end of the track for an even closer look at the falls, but not so close as to want to find the cache placed at the top.
Just as a side note , do take care walking this track and wear appropriate boots and clothing. Having only shorts and sandals on when I was in the carpark I opted for hiking boots and gaiters even though it’s a relatively short walk, and was glad I did.
On way back along the path I had stepped right beside a smallish tiger snake in the grass on the track I didn’t see until I was right on top of it. The path might be clear and defined, but up in the high country anywhere near a creek or water source is perfect country for the Copperheads and Tiger snakes that like the cooler climate. And hearing not so long ago that hospitals are opting out of stocking snake anti venom, I think it be better to take more precautions than needed than to be sorry.
TNLN , TFTC , Cheers.

Easy find on a short stroll with Murray Valley Bushwalkers. Several much more recent finders in log, but unfortunately the last hadn't closed the container properly so it was very wet. Couldnt write, so hopefully an imprint from my car key will do,,,, Its not that hard to close a small Sistema! TFTC
Today I was again up past Falls creek from Mt Beauty with one particular cache in mind, and a number of others along the way. I did the earth cache first, and on my way back, I followed my GPS to where it was pointing (the far side of the bridge). I checked the clue, and headed to the other side, but still couldn't match anything. (I should have paid more attention to the cache name).
I decided to see if I could log on to GC.COM with my phone and check the spoiler picture. Amazingly, I did manage to do so, and when I looked at the photo, I realised my mistake, and was able to get to the right spot, where the cache was quickly found. I made use of the nearby seat to log my find.
My thanks to Jamin Appleford for the cache.

Found by Facitman and Mrs Facit on our Bright Weekend at 12:15
Having escaped the busy life of Melbourne for the weekend Mrs Facit and I were extremely happy to find a nice short scenic walk to enjoy while driving up to Bogong Village. Better still the weather was perfect for walking! Arrived at the lookout and enjoyed a few minutes taking in the view before I slid away for a quick cache find. We continued down the track and enjoyed the closer view of the falls before agreeing that we wouldn't attempt the other off-track cache, nice idea but not for today.
Thanks Jamin Appleford

After the previous afternoons crazy hike, I opted for some easier caches before tackling the staircase. A nice cruisey walk here and outstanding location. Wowza - lots of pics. Thanks Ben for placing a cache here - the hint also helped narrow down an easy find.

This is a wonderful lookout! We stopped for lunch and saw heaps of lizards! TFTC!
Found with Shelley0 while heading up to Falls with the canoes to try the fishing at Rocky Valley. Thanks for replacing this one Jamin, nice to be back in the area again
Quick find this morning with the falls pumping. Beaware that there is one jack jumper guarding the stone seat nearby. Thanks to the CO for the cache.

Spending a week in Bright with the hubby and kids for a holiday and today we decided to trek across a different mountain to Mt Beauty, Bogong and Falls Creek. Our aim for today was to see the falls and this cache was the bonus (the others here were just all too hard with kids). A lovely walk in and some fab pics taken (see attached). Just spectacular! Just before we reached lookout master 7 complained that his news boots were rubbing so he walked the whole way out in his socks. The rain then started bucketing down so we were fully drowned rats when we got back to the car all hysterical with laughter. Adding a fav here and hopefully through the pics you'll experience our journey. Many thanks - loved it!
The bananas joined the local Mini Moke club to examine the falls. All these people dressed in enough layers to keep warm that an onion would be embarrassed.
Anyway the bananas know the experience. When younger and these vehicles a common sight on the road for people with no money my friend invited me to the snow in one. We froze all the way there and back and can still remember the effect wind chill has on a cold body. Never again.
So this hardy crew of overdressed Artic explorers examined the falls while in the background the bananas struck gold and honoured the roll.
The river is amazing with it's rapidily flowing water giving no chance to any rocks smaller than a Mini Moke any chance of a stable resting place.
Quite unexpectedly spectacular.
