We are heading from Portland to Adelaide and of course we are stopping to grab a few caches along the way.Normally whenever we travel this road we have time constraints so today we made sure we left a bit earlier so that we could try our luck at some of these that we normally drive passed. We are slowly picking up some of these older caches that we haven't had a chance to. We pulled up near gz and went for a walk and happily we spotted something not quite right on approach and not long after we were adding our name to the log. Many thanks kip59 for a quick stop on our drive.
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Staying in Millicent for a few days to grab some finds placed for the ill fated Mega 2020. There have been some newer caches and puzzles collected too. Thanks for the hide. LNCU
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We are staying at Millicent for the week, finding some of the caches we should have found if we had not been prevented from attending the 2020 Mega by Covid19. Thanks for the cache. LNCU
Find 4782 on March 2, 2024Day#5 on Fergzters trip to the Great Leap Forward Event. Today we began at Kingston SE and are heading in the general direction of home in Ballarat. Thankfully I don't need to be there until tomorrow. Quick find. Cache is disintegrating but another newer container is held within to keep it going. All is well with the cache. TFTC kip59
Amazingly, the temperature was half that of yesterday - 21C today , enabling us to look for a few extra caches that we wouldn't have bothered with the day before: so much long grass down here, most more than a metre high and right up to the bitumen .Found in the obvious spot .TNLNSL.Thanks again Kip59.
On way home from my niece’s wedding from the weekend. Today was from Portland to Meningie, which included a couple adventure labs on the way. Container half full of water, but log was dry in its small tube.Tftc
I spent too much time looking in the wrong spot, after reading the hint changed my tact and soon had my name in the log. Thanks kip59
Found on the way to Strathalbyn after our stay in Millicent for the Mega event.
34 finds for today and 525 for the trip.
All good here.

Our final day camping at the Mega, all packed up but still the aim to cache the highway home and any others we happened to be near this was one of them, travelling with Mattycat and Sebastbat, quick find for us on this one today

Post geoventure caching with Sebastbat, Jack, and Froghoppin, along the journey home.
Found a bunch of caches, including this one on the road to Adelaide!
Thanks for putting this cache out on the SE SA geomap kip59

All the Geocaches are located and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck!
---
Please do stay safe when caching.
Lookout for mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure Travel Bugs are the only bugs you share and pass on
We really appreciate all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside,
it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting

The great Geoventure 2020 tour....take 2...which is of course now in 2021 Once again it myself and AnyMules doing things that not many sane people would attempt. [:o)]
Day 8: With a break in the weather and some sunshine we decided it was time to go for a walk in the Penola Conservation Park Then it was a cache of just following the trail of unfound caches.
* If anything was particularly interesting then there will be a comment
Here.. Super quick find here, could see it as we approached.
otherwise we found all the caches we looked for and they were in good condition.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers from over fifty to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
***Thanks kip59 for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Logging some more caches that have been found around the Millicent district with ilook4geo.This was a random selection and the log has two more names noted on it to mark our visit. Thanks go to kip59 for this cache placement. It was an easy find.
Came along with goingplaces2 to make a find here. Cache container was retrieved, log was signed, all was replaced. Job done! TFTC.
It is a long road home from here.

The way I was headed today,
I reckon this should be called the "Millicent Road"
Whatever !! ?? [:o)]
This was a fun find by the side of the not very busy road today [^]
A complete contrast to the roads on t'other side of the nearby border
Any hoo !!! The cache was soon found in its watery grave [:o]
Waterlogged ??
That would be an understatement for this cache
I grabbed some paper towel from the geomobile and mopped the whole thing out
Lucky that you chose waterproof paper for this submarine cache
With me name on the log page,
I put the noice dry cache back in place,
just a little bit higher,
where it might just stay drier
But this cache can handle a soaking [^]
And still bounce back

Accurate coordinates and a familiar style of hide led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks kip59 for the cache.
Had a day of Mount Gambier sinkhole scuba diving and driving back home to Adelaide via Millicent and TeamAstro's Jupiter geocache.
This logbook and bag was swimming in water in this container. Stamped but not sure if it will stay. Unfortunate this container type seems poor for keeping water out. Cheers.

Another quick find travelling between Kingston SE and Millicent. Cache was ok. Found with 3LG. TFTC
A weekend run down to the south east, with Moneydork, Freddo, Hevwalker and Phoenix Flare. We opted for the coastal route, and much of the scenery was amazing. Of course, there were plenty of caches on the way as well. We managed to reach our destination just before the Maitland event, and it was a great experience.
Very much looking forward to spending more time down this way for a while yet!
This was find number 26 of 33 for the day for me. TFTC kip59!

Thanks 'kip59' for placing caches along this road.

Suscoe and Phetlern headed out early today to the crunch of frost everywhere we looked.
A sunny day followed and we enjoyed the wandering around the north west of Millicent.
Some controlled burns further to the north east later in the morning provided a brown cloud streaming to the west and occasionally dropping ash on us as we crossed the farmlands.
This was our last day of caching in this area before heading homewards.
Thanks to kip59 for this hide. We were enjoying collecting these highway caches.

We headed out into the farming community, finding caches along the way.

We've seen Furner in a whole new light today usually we are here in the winter playing hockey in the cold and rain TFTC it's been a great day and still lots more to come back for!
Don't think I have found another kip59 cache container the same as this one so far so that is another type of container we have notched up. Good parking away from the passing traffic here and an easy to deal with hide. TFTC

Found on a return visit to the Furner / Haverleigh area with clare007 and hevwalker!! We found most of them reasonably easily including one we had DNFed on the last visit (a snake had limited our search!) It was the perfect weather to be out and about… we had brought lunch with us and had it near the Furner oval while the locals were playing cricket. Thankyou for the hides in this area!!
Out and about in the South East with CPwanderer & clare007...It was perfect weather to be outdoors...

A straight forward and quick find.
Talk about déjà vu ..... this is the second weekend in a row that I have been on a girls caching road trip with Locus Cache to Victoria. This time however it was a fabulous 4 day jaunt AND we may have even brought back a lovely Victorian fella with us (micaparamedic).....ALWAYS an enjoyable time when we hang out!
Kaye and I travelled from Adelaide to the beautiful Warrnambool area to attend a Friday night picnic in the park event and then on Saturday we enjoyed a yummy BBQ lunch at the 1 month to the Surf Coast Mega Event. Bendigo was our next overnight stop and then we headed home....which only took us 15 HOURS!! haha It wasn't the Little Desert National Park we got lost in this weekend, it was Murray Sunset National Park...LOL - but we did get a joint first to find which made the detour all worth it....who needs to get 8hours sleep before needing to be at work the next day anyway??
We targeted a number of caches over the weekend, including some oldies of Alex...very cool finding original ammo cans in the bush and some to help out the D/T grid!
Once again the conversations were highly amusing and we enjoyed lots of belly laughter!! haha [:o)]
We saw kangaroos, emus, lots of birds and a whole heap of water due to recent heavy rains.
GEOCACHING ROCKS!!! [:X]

Day 1 of the girls' road trip to Warrnambool, which then extended out to Bendigo on day 3. On day 4 we picked up another passenger for Harry as the new passenger needed a lift to Adelaide.
Today we drove from Adelaide to Warrnambool, arriving in time to attend the Sunset Picnic Event - Tower Hill [^]
The day was mainly spent driving as it takes a tad longer when the Hary Factor comes into play
Some older caches were targeted and some great views were seen as a result! [^]
