Find # 13310Solo trip to Creswick to tackle the 50 must see places series and others along the way. Spent 3 and a half hours driving the forest and finding a total of 62 caches.Day started off ok, thankfully the sprinkling of rain from mid day, that lasted to 2:30 kept the heat away. While a bit annoying, it did make for a more interesting and enjoyable time caching the forest.TFTC Fergzter
We meandered around in the bush again today collecting some outstanding green caches, tuning them into smilies. Fantastic series. TFTC
Found with PapaGrouch and MazzyMay. On a return trip to the Creswick area we found this cache. We parked near the dam and could see someone over the other side, I think he was fishing. We wandered back a bit to make the cache find. TFTC
Out doing the new series in the area, stopped by this one for a quick findThis week I decided to head to Victoria for a few days to target finishing off the Ballarat Geotour and also find the new series in St Arnaud, anything else was a bonus. I ended up finding a little over 300 caches plus a tonne of ad labs along the way. Thanks for the series
Today our plan was to do two do a few GC caches and two AL's we ended up doing a few more than this. A reasonably quite day around town and an early visit to the bakery for supplies for today. The weather was kind to us and we managed to find all the caches that we attempted.SL TFTC
Found and signed dsd or darksidedan or AB or Adventure Boys to save space in the logbook. Thanks for the cache and the Adventure.Just dam good views...lol
Next stop on my drive through the area and again the cache was found without issue. Log was signed and then it was off to the Wallaby trail for a few more.
Thanks again Fergzter..cache all good.

Some good friends had decided to head to Ballarat for a few weeks so I decided I needed a break and joined them, we had a great time out caching as well as sharing stories and laughs around a meal or two. I really love the area of Ballarat there is so much history and I am sure it has the largest population of Oak trees in the Country.
This is one of the caches found today.
Some caches logged as RASP rebel acts &Ski pair.

With work encouraging us to take some holidays and Mr SKI having quite a few weeks up his sleeve it was time to take another short break and do some sightseeing and caching in parts of Victoria we seldom visit.
This time we decided it would be Ballarat. There is a wide variety of cache types and quite a number of Adventure Labs to do, so the area is quite attractive. And that doesn't include the historical and interest aspects as well.
We organized to meet up with some friends while there so we would have the opportunity to do some joint as well as solo caching.
We have already had some great adventures on a few challenging caches that generated a lot of fun and as usual always good to find some pre-solved puzzles.
All logs signed as SKI Pair, RASP (Rebel Acts & SKI Pair or SP depending on size of logs and availability of space.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Fergzter.

Heading up to Buninyong for the Ballarat GeoTour event this afternoon but I left home nice and early to be able to hopefully find a few caches early then meet up with Lee Lee from Crack’n’LeeLee around lunch time then cache our way to the event.
Still making my way around the pine plantation taking some well made roads and a couple of tracks that I was thankful for having the Geocruiser underneath me and not the Geowagon.
Not a Brandy fan but I will take the Whiskey please.
There are a few dams that you come across as you drive around this plantation.
Soon located the likely spot for a cache and I added my name to the log.
Thanks Fergzter TFTC.

*Staying in Creswick for a few days*
Today I decided to head out and clear up some of the local caches and take some photos. A beautiful time of year with all the trees in colour and everything lush and green... A lovely day to be out and about having most of the areas to myself
A bit of a stroll, a bit of a search, made the find, stamped log and replaced again.
My sincerest thanks to Fergzter for the cache. Appreciate your efforts.
**Warning**, *this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun*.

Beautiful walk through the pines and the toadstools to a very rustic marker. Tftc
Had a look for this one today with no success. There are recent signs of tree cutting next door.
Out and about today around some areas our little 2WD wouldn't like to travel.
Nice drive around here and a good cache hide.
Couple were camping at the dam so we tried to be quick.
Thanks for placing it.

I headed for Moore's Dam along the Brandy Road
And found the Creswick CFA crew and their trucks parked there
So I guess this is a good watering spot during a bushfire
And given the size of the dam,
the choppers could possibly fill their Bambi Buckets here too.
The muggles left and I was clear to find the cache

Found it had some help from a small lizard and it watch me as I put it back into position.
Geo mobile didn’t appreciate the tracks but geo kids, geo pa and I loved the fresh air and beautiful sunshine. Great day to be out and about. TFTC
Had a little trouble getting the cache out of its hiding place but got there. Loved the location so much decided to set up table & chairs for lunch - just bliss .....sun glistening on the dam and the sound of the bush .....heaven! TFTC
Wandered around in circles for a little time while the GPS settled. Took some jiggling to get the container. All good! Decided to have lunch here, so set up the table and chairs in sight of the sun glistening on the dam. Lovely spot. TFTC
Out on a successful FTF hunt and decided it was a prime opportunity to grab a couple of nearby caches, A little nervous as this area had clearly been used very recently as a target range! The cache was safe and intact all the same. TFTC
Found in the company of 08151605 as we visited the area to clean up a few missed caches. It was absolutely freezing this morning so very thankful for a quick find to be off to the warmth of the car. Definitely could do with a brandy to help warm up. Thanks Fergzter
We attended the CITO this morning and were impressed with the amount of trash collected. Your Geovehicle was put to good use. Ours managed a few smaller loads.
After finishing the nearby Christmas Tree Geo-art at last, we headed over here to look for *(just one more)* your cache.
I spotted some muggles on pushbikes rolling down the road and let n0w0rries know they were coming.
It wasn't the cache he had in his hands at the time. Someone has left their "bush shower" out here. A well made piece of Aussie ingenuity indeed.
Thanks for the cache Fergzter.

Found a bucket and a shower near the dam.
A pair of pushbike riding muggles rolled on through.
She looked like she was navigating using a laminated map on the handlebars.
The odd things people get up to in the bush.
Cache in good order.
Thanks for the Brandy, Fergster.

With a stupid o'clock start for a flash mob in Geelong, Ausfox;, Neville_devil and myself headed Ballarat and Creswick way in search of as many Regular size caches as we could find for the day. The things you do for challenge caches [:o].
With a nice easy track to drive here we were able to park very close to GZ where Ausfox; made the quick find. This area seems to be abundant with mushrooms we don't see around home. There must be fairy around here with these in such supply
Thank you Fregzter for the hide

I joined up with Simsfamily and Neville Devil after a 3am flash mob in Geelong and made our way to Creswick to search out regular size caches and others inbetween.
We wandered back and forth for a few minutes until spotting the hide. Looks like someone has made the area there home with a homemade outdoor shower nearby.
Log signed and replaced as found.

Found with Claybol and jtnsilo on a day trip to Ballarat. Been a while since I wne ton a Sunday trip to Ballarat with Claybol. Having started a new job a few months ago I've been somewhat dormant but a great day was had with Claybol and jtnsilo....
When we arrived there was a fellow parked there and I asked him if he was here fishing, to which he replied "No I've come out for some target practice" and he pointed to a couple of guns in the back of his car...... Now. I don't like guns but I was friendly with him and he seemed pretty friendly too. I asked him if he knew what Geocaching was, he did and he had found one in an area once....... OK, so then I felt safe and we found the cache and managed to get out of there before a shot was fired. ....... Not only do I hate gins, I hate the sound of them..... TFTC

Find #1738 for me. Found with virbull and jtnsilo at 11:35 am after traveling down from Bendigo. On our way in, just before turning onto Codes Forest Road, we passed a stationary 4WD and noticed the couple giving us a knowing smile. Geocachers? Maybe - they had that geocacher look about them, but I didn't recognize them. Driving a small 2WD hatchback I drove very carefully along Moores Road on our way to GZ and virbull assured me that Old Brandy Road was definitely fine too so we actually stopped very close to GZ. Another car was parked close to the dam and as it turned out they were shooters looking for some target practice. OK... glad we established that before hearing any gun-shots! Thankfully we made a quick find before any shots were fired, but we didn't hear anything even at the cache further along so maybe they decided to settle for a picnic instead. Thanks for placing this cache Fergzter and the recent maintenance allowing us to make the find today!
Caching in the rain today is not much fun,
But we gave this one a good shot today.
However, we could not come up with the goods despite looking in all the suitable places.
Nice spot with some added history.
Better luck next time.

Up to Ballarat area today from Melbourne for some caching on this lovely New Years Day Holiday 2018.
Recently I was playing around with Project-GC challenge map and realized we qualified for a few challenges up in Ballarat.
With a souvenir on offer today we decided we would head out and pick up a few challenge caches, a few trads, an earthcache and some letterbox caches.
We looked, and we looked, but we were truly stumped on this one and couldn't find it. Maybe next time.

A new morning and time to leave the overnight campsite and find some more caches.
I was now making my way through the forest and heading back towards Ballarat but this one was close by so I stopped for a look.
Once in the GZ area the GPS had my going in circles for a short time before I eventually spotted the hide.

In Ballarat to visit family....ok not really .... more like visiting some of the Xmas in July caches! Braving the terrible elements, rain, hail and wind we still enjoyed our day in the company of Wozzle68. Found the cache nicely hidden after finishing the nearby geoart.
Thanks Fergzter for the placement here.

While nearby for another reason we managed to find some time to make a detour and visit this area, Interesting area, Thanks Fergzter for the cache and the fun
Having an afternoon of caching on this long weekend i was determined to get some finds under my belt after a disastrous caching weekend in Melbourne.
No trouble locating this one, it was well covered but in a familiar way to experienced cachers. A great spot, thx Fergzter for finding yet another interesting location.

I was out in the general area making the most of a beautiful sunny day, photographing fungi and looking for some bioluminescent shooms. I opened the app and noticed I wasn't too far away from this one so I had to check it off my list. A great little hide although I had a smidge of trouble extracting the cache before I could sign.
Thank you for placing and maintaining the cache.

*Who could wish for a more enjoyable area to spend time, than in and around the Creswick Regional Park? A wonderful area for walking, riding, exploring and of course geocaching!*
We enjoyed a DNF free day, among fascinating fungi, carefully hidden and well maintained caches.
Satellites today had our GZ 6 metres north of where we found the cache.
Thanks to Fergzter for placing this cache.

Another full day of caching with my good mates the suscoe cachers starting with these newish Enfield Forest caches and a few others nearby before heading into Ballarat for a couple of high D/T caches that required some ladder work, a visit to the new cemetery again for a couple (Did not get locked in this time) and then up to the Creswick area hoping for a few smiley faces and then returning to Ballarat for Irish Event for dinner.
This is a very pleasant location, after signing the log, I stood on the bank and wondered if their were fish in this dam, sure to be yabblies time to head onto the next.
Thanks Fergzter for placing this cache.
