No luck

27-Jul-19
Cache is obviously missing.

27-Jul-19
Random location.
Didn’t spend time here especially after the long list of DNFs

20-Jul-19
Stopped by for a quick peak in the hope to locate its 40th favourite. Nada. Worth a try.

07-Jul-19
Only a quick look as darkness was falling, but no cigar for us today.

This geocacher reported that the cache might be missing.

23-Jun-19
Alas, another DNF to add to the list around this lake today.

28-Apr-19
No luck for us today. Lots of rubbish about which was sad to see. Geo fam were hurrying me along to find this one as geo kids wanted to get to the library before if closed soon. The GPS was playing tricks too. Will have to come back to this one another day with no nagging kids.

20-Apr-19
Gave it our best shot. Can the owner check and advise whether it's still there please.

19-Apr-19
Did not find

11-Apr-19
Found a suspicious pile of sticks and some good hiding spots but no treasure. Is it hanging?

22-Feb-19
After a lovely lunch with family nearby we were on a mission to to make 2 finds to hit a milestone. We should have parked where dad said but after a short bushy walk we made the fun find. A fave from us, thank you

19-Feb-19
I came out to this park for a Cito quite some time ago but I didn’t get this cache. Similar to previous finder I found this in the middle of nothing but was all there apart from some peeling paint. In searching I found a suspicious pile which was dead on coords so I returned the cache to here and added camo. Love the detail on this cache.

Thanks 1k2ate for the cache.
Found at 4:19 pm on 19/2/19.

Thanks for this cache!

With a day off today I found myself in the Oakleigh area for a few early morning appointments. With them over with, it was time to grab a few local caches. Left the geo-loppy resting nearby and wandered over to GZ. With the GPSr saying I was at 0m but nothing to be found, I expanded the search slightly to find this highly augmented cache. There was a nice big smile on my face when I finally spotted this cache. How I missed it on the first pass is something we will never speak about again. Great cache, worthy of a favourite. TNLNSL. What an interesting container. Geogirl quickly after reaching GZ. Dropped off a TB that is hoping to visit NZ. Collected some TBs here.

30-Sep-18
This was our first find for the night and how creative it was!! Loved the container and all of its 'contents', had to drop a trackable and left the one that was already in there, thanks for the thoughtful cache, it was a nice surprise Smile)

30-Sep-18
Haha, what a twist

28-Sep-18
What an absolutely fabulous cache!!. Loved it. 10 out of 10 for creativity. A fav from us

I walked past this hide, wondering where it could be , then turned around and saw a suspicious pile of sticks. Thanks for the work gone into creating this minty cache Smile

21-Jul-18
Z, H & K and I were wandering around the park looking for a few caches and this ended up being the last one that we walked to. After discussing what types of milkshakes are the best with the youngest member of the group, it seemed somewhat appropriate that we found a food-related cache! I was able to make the find pretty quickly. Loved the work on this one! Now time for a well earned coffee, donut and milkshake for the group. TFTC

This was my 7 year old's favourite cache of the day. Love your artistry. This was the last of our caches today. My son so enjoyed Lost and Found 79's company (I did too) that he invited her for afternoon tea with us at the nearby Market Europa. A perfect end to the CITO and caching circuit of Karkarook Park.

21-Jul-18
Quick wander after doing my bit at the CITO. That is one impressive container!!

15-Jul-18

Working out in the garden preparing three new garden beds and then out to get a load of very good looking soil in the old ute.
I was going to spend Sunday shoveling soil but that all changed with a call from my very good caching mates the suscoe cachers.
Would I like to join with them on another trip to Melbourne to grab a few more caches as we have found most in and around Geelong.
Well how could you refuse an offer like that so here we are at this cache on a lovely Sunday afternoon.
I think this is the location for a CITO and if so then it will help clean up this lovely park.

06-May-18
Suscoe decided that we should have a big Sunday drive today and so we prepared our tour of the local caches and got our good mate Bushfire along for the adventure with us.
We headed off bright and early, a cloudy start to the day but then approaching Melbourne the sun came out and for most of the day it continued to shine brightly on us. We got back home around 5:00 pm with a good collection of finds to record.

Thanks to 1k2ate for this hide, the title is quite apt.
A quick find and sign.

#250

In a mad rush to try to get 500 points in 3 days, I was out and about searching for high favourite point caches and solving countless puzzles. Had quite a few DNFs today but overall it was a success. Very funny this one. Love the effort as well as the good old traditional hide. Thanks for 250!

Out caching during the school holidays and thought we would go for a walk after shopping at DFO for new runners for cross country season (kids just love shopping NOT).
we did the ones nearby and thought we would extend our walk and find the ones in the wetlands (only found a few as the kids were hungry and tired and no water/food and had to get back to the car but more excuse to come back another day) Awesome caches and don't want to find all the amazing caches will leave some for another day.

This is why we love caching, for caches like this.

Awesome hide Miss 11 found this one and loved it.

31-Mar-18
Very clever cache. It made me laugh. Love it.

27-Mar-18
I couldn't find anything here so I checked the hint, which helped widen my search - then smiled when I found it. Loved this creative hide! I personally prefer peppermint over spearmint, but each to their own Smile

26-Mar-18
Spent the afternoon cherry picking caches all over Melbourne for the Victorian LGA Challenge. Managed to get a lot closer to the final number. TFTC. Big Grin

21-Mar-18
Today I was out to gain some points for the Planetary Pursuit series of souvenirs, so I was targetting highly favourited caches, multis, and solved puzzles. Unfortunately, I loaded my GPS before adding the puzzles, so they will need to wait for another day. This was not at all what I expected, and I've never seen one like that before. Definitely worth another favourite from me.

Thanks to 1k2ate for the cache.

03-Jan-18
Our GPS's refused to cooperate but the cache was eventually found. Love the container. Thanks for the cache.

01-Jan-18
After completing a few others around the park whilst trying out my new orthotics...impending blisters meant i had to go barefoot. Walking up the hot bitumen outside bunnings... stopping in the shady spotson the way. Wjay a great effort you have made... Love your thinking... will give it a favorite.

31-Dec-17
A walk through the bush area around the park. Finally centered into the area to find, “not another mint tin” filled with equally giant mints. Love the use of ‘not another’ and worth a favourite . TFTC k2ate.

30-Dec-17
Out for a few caches on a shopping trip and trying out my new GPS , this one took me a little while to narrow down (as others seem to have experienced) but after a methodical search I finally spotted it. Left a couple of travel bugs - TFTC Smile

After spending a few days in Dingley Village with Family,
the time came to head home. But we needed to find a cache
today to continue our 366 day Challenge. This was the one
we decided to look for. Great container which gets a fave
point for this cache. Found (of course), signed and replaced
as found for the next finder.

Thanks heaps 1k2ate

But which tree? Only by extending my search area did I find the cache! The amount of rubbish around here is appalling. Good site if you’re looking for a place to have a CITO event. Unfortunately I live too far away to do one here myself.

11-Nov-17
First find. Lots of fun. Love the swappables.

11-Nov-17
Found it and did lots of swaps. Found a trackable!

My GPS was bouncing around a bit, and i wasn't sure what to expect, a mint tin with this many favs? A nice reveal in the end.

Ok, so straight off the bat.... I have had a Travel Bug in my possession for a few months, way too long I know, but as it's too big for a 200ml sistema and I don't find many caches a month anyway... I've had it too long. The owners gently nudged me to get it moving and I promised to do so last week so here I am today...
A quiet Monday afternoon opened the option to slip away to find a decently sized cache, I used the handy gc.com filter to see what bigger caches were about and selected this cache as hopefully fitting the requirements. Upon arrival I was please to find the cache was perfect for my needs. It was not too hard to find but with dark clouds amassing I was in a bit of a hurry so quickly added my log and dropped in the TB.
Thanks 1k2ate for the good sized box and nice construction job.

Found on the way home today. Silly me tripped over the wire and temporarily hurt my shoulder! Liked the cache though.

23-Oct-17
That was great! I did a double take when I spotted it. TFTC

18-Oct-17
Haha....very creative. Again I was a bit uncertain about the long grass underfoot and slightly cautious but grabbed the cache anyway. TFTC

Out today with G of GJMMelb to find a few caches. I had looked within a metre from where we eventually found the cache, and not spotted it! All good in the end. Very nice construct, it made us smile. G tried to take one of the minties but I pointed out that we might want to leave it for the next finder. TFTC and a FP

Well this one would keep you minty fresh for a while. This was an absolute cracker, a fantastic container, especially for a mint tin. I walked past it first, but once I changed directions I found it straight away! Thanks for the dedication to this hide

Legoman9x and I decided to come do the series in this park due to the number of favorites they have. Read a few logs and know that they're creative hides with great containers.

I like this mint tin. So many mints. Tftc

25-Aug-17
Yay.
We parked in the park, played in the playground and then headed over. Gosh my sence of direction is bad. My poor geotoddler had to climb over way more tree stumps and logs than were strictly necessary.
But we got to gz in the end and it didn't take to long till I spotted it. Then i told her of the general area to look and within a minute it was spotted.

She has no sence of the value of things which means theres a nice little compass awaiting the next visitor. We took a plastic bug and some toy marketing material

Will return another day for more caches in this lovely park.

Thanks very much.

Oh and very creative. I love the extra touch inside.

Out in the local area caching with The Drovers. After working on some puzzles over the last few weeks, it was time to be rewarded. A fun day was had with many laughs and good hides.

After attending the Annual International Geocaching Day Event we explored South Springvale and surrounds using Geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them. An easy find.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Such nice weather for a winter's day, so I got the deadly treadly out and set off for Karkarook Park and the nearby bike trail. The car parks were chockers! they must have stocked the lake with fish - fishing muggles everywhere. Not a good sign for caching! Fortunately, most of the caching areas were empty.
A great container (I think that is th first time I have said that of a mint tin!), but those mints!
Took one and it lasted me all day!
Thanks, Robmc.

05-Aug-17
We took the geobuggy with us, which was probably a big mistake, but we eventually negotiated our way through, only to find there was probably a better path in - typical! Loved the detail on this one!

04-Aug-17
Out with xambo4u, we were walking a circuit of Karkarook Park. We took a little while to find this (as the GPS took time to settle) then the geo- sense kicked in.
What a great cache, lovely to see effort put in to creating caches. Thanks 1k2ate

Out and about on this freezing day with echidna44. Having decided just to walk around this fantastic area to enjoy some caching, chatting and scenery. Having just come from a no find this one put a smile on our dials. It took longer than it should as we needed to widen our search just a little. We will return to finish of the others that we have missed but this one has our tick now. Thanks 1k2ate, love your style

CaptainCooper09 was with me today, out and about hunting for caches. It was a bit cold and a little windy, and we even got caught in a few showers during the day, but we were well rugged up.
It's been quite a while since I've been to Karkarook Park. I was glad to come back as all the caches we found here were fantastic.
This was the mother of all mint tins and wasn't that hard to find but what a 'cool' cache and a fav for us.
Thank 1k2ate.

The geoson and I were out to grab a few caches in this great park. It didn't take long to locate and what a surprise it was. Just another mint tin, well done and a favorite point from us. We also dropped off a TB. Thanks.

Needing a cache to fulfil the requirements for the Mary Hyde challenge I thought that this would be a good one. I love finding caches of this size. Definitely a favourite for me.
