We have been caching throughout the mallee for a few days after yet another lockdown, it’s so good to be out and about.
We have also been searching out all the small towns with their amazing art, silos and murals. Needed to park right on GZ to retrieve

It was good to be able to find some caches along the route we were travelling today with ilook4geo. This was a good cache and once it was retrieved, the log soon had two more names added to the list before all was replaced in the container, which was carefully put back into place. Thank you to ArnupFamily for this cache placement.

Travelling the highways today with goingplaces2 and doing a few caches along the way. Nicely hidden cache here, with no muggles around to spoil the hunt. TFTC.

Find #4078**
**Traditional Find #2657**

SteMicMitSar and I headed to Mildura for the first day of our caching adventure to NW Victoria and South Australia. We had solved a number of puzzles in preparation for this trip but were also on the lookout for other caches of interest along the way. I've seen this type of hide many times but not this particularly implementation. Very inventive and the best of those I've seen. A favourite point from me.

**Thank-you to ArnupFamily for placing this geocache**

*Cache find # 10319.*

Day 1.
I headed out on a road trip with biggles1024, our first destination being Mildura.
We had a few target caches and series to concentrate on, this being one of them.
As we were passing this one and as it may have been a new map, we stopped for a look.
Mark made the find on a very nicely constructed and concealed cache.

**Thanks to ArnupFamily for placing this cache.**

DAB and I planned a trip up to the area with a few hikes we wanted to do and a few caches too. The night was a cold one with -2deg on the temp gauge when we woke up at the camp site at the Melville Caves. We woke early, keen to get up and moving. After a packing up our gear, we enjoyed a camp cooked breakfast. With a page of caches on our hit list, it was time to get out there and do some walking.

We wondered where this one would be on the way past before we found some other caches and went to find this one on the way back. We were right, nice bit of construction here on a familiar hide Smile

**Thanks to ArnupFamily for hiding this cache for us to find and enjoy**

After a freezing cold night spent camping near the Melville caves, we were keen to get up and moving. After a packing up our gear, we enjoyed a hearty breakfast. With a dozen caches on our hit list, it was time to hit the trails and collect some smiley faces. While the sun was shining, we did experience some light drizzle in the afternoon. But for a winters day, we couldn't complain.

Found this clever hide on our way back to Geelong. A nice bit of construction here, well done guys. TFTC ArnupFamily Big Grin

A quick dash along the Calder this morning took me to this little 'lookout' Big Grin
Where a quick cache find was all mine once I achieved a little more elevation Razz
Very neat cache hide [^]
Fave dance time Smile

I've taken the tour of Mt Korong on a previous visit [^]
An absolute favourite area,
with good camping opportunities at the base.
And plenty rock scrambling up on high Big Grin

But as for the height of Mt Korong !!
Well I don't know how that 364 metres ever caught on !! Razz
Yet there it is !!
Repeated over and over again on websites ...
... even the local Wedderburn Council site !! [:o]

As for the CO's 423 metres ...
... well I'm guessing they climbed the hill and measured it on their GPS ??
(More info needed !!) Wink

You are all wrong !! Wink
Try 407 metres AMSL Smile

Out for a day of caching with the Geo-Mum while visiting the family in Bendigo for Christmas. This was our tenth of eleven caches for the day on our way back to Bendigo. With the GPS pointing to the obvious spot, Mr Pooky needed the help of the 4WD to retrieve the cache ....... TFTC. TNLN

Suscoe had a big day out in the Wedderburn and surrounds area on this delightful Spring day.
50 finds from 50 caches, Whoo-hooo!!!!!!!!!!!!
We enjoyed a very early start and saw lots of interesting countryside. Hilly tracks, bush, granite outcrops, lots of quartz, some old equipment, beaut gardens, buildings aplenty and even a solar array, what a great day to be out and about.
Thanks to the ArnupFamily for this hide, a beaut view.

A nice drive out to this one.

After an unexpected night in Wedderburn - to do the night cache and a few others with the lovely micaparamedic - the aim of today was to find some of the newer caches that had been published for the recent events (which I missed this year due to overseas travel)....and others in and around the area.

Thanks for the cache ArnupFamily Smile

Geocaching has taken me on many adventures over the years all over Australia and overseas. It has also introduced me to a brilliant and diverse group of people, many of whom are now close friends.

Today I was lucky enough to be out and about so I targeted this cache.

Sorry for the late log, but thanks for adding to the adventure!

Thanks ArnupFamily for placing this cache.

Heading back to Wedderburn , looking forward to a good pub meal for dinner, we stopped for "just one more cache" . As we searched for the cache we got somewhat distracted with the beautiful views overlooking Mt Korong as the sun was starting to set , displaying colours in the lovely white clouds. After a jog across the road, photos taken, we got back to the task in hand.
Thanks ArnupFamily for the sneaky hide and informing us of the real height.

Find No. 1739. Found at 3.55pm.

After attending the Lunch time event in Wedderburn we had the whole afternoon to do as we pleased, so off we went caching again to locate the rest of the caches placed for this event.

As we still had some time up our sleeve we decided to go for the drive out the road to locate this one. As Mrs Tyred n Cranky was looking elsewhere, Mr Tyred n Cranky came up with the goods. Lucky it didn't take us long as it was still raining.

Another great Day out in Wedderburn. Came up for the dual events and all the new caches, and wasn't disappointed. Spent the morning meeting cachers in the wild, and the afternoon caching with friends.
The first cachers in the wild today! Pulled up just as Shane was returning the cache to its hide. (Nice hide btw)
Thanks, Robmc.

The annual Wedderburn Weekend run by The Old Blokes and a few friends. Always a fantastic weekend and very creative caches.

All the new caches were publishd late afternoon yesterday so I was very surprised to arrive at GZ and find an empty log book. I climbed the hill a couple of years ago but still ave caches to find up there. Maybe I'll wait till the weather improves - it's raining quite heavily as I type this logSad

Thank you, ArnupFamily, for this cache.
