No luck with this one. Now I'm really curious to know why that rock is here... and what it means!
I failed to jump to the correct conclusion but KR hopped right in. Got that one licked. It's funny how one can be off the boil for one cache and excell at the next. Googling tadpoles was worthwhile to discover that some frogs miss out the tadpole stage and hatch from eggs as frogs. Some frogs have eggs that hatch into tadpoles under the skin of the parent or in pouches or are terrestrial. Even tho tadpoles have no skeletons there are fossil specimens. People eat tadpoles in China India and Peru as some types grow up to 10cms long. Finally an Egyptian hyroglyph of a tadpole means 100,000. Ready for quiz night?! Tftc
A nice quick find. Found the tadpole! Thanks for placing your cache.
Ms_KR and I are in Auckland Auckland for a break and we are exploring the region while we are based here. Tday we went over to some of the West Coast beaches. The weather was lovely as were the views of the coast..
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Mrs Friwi got the hint pretty quickly while I was still scratching my head. Froggy, Frenchy, Friwi, it's all one and the same TFTC
AliGle and I were on our way out to Anawhata and stopped to pick up this cache along the way. Took a little bit of searching till we spotted the obvious! TFTC!
5 giant packs required for this one. Took a bit of searching, but nailed it in the end. TFTC
Since I was heading to Piha to do the AL, I stopped here to find this one. At first I applied the hint incorrectly, but then cottoned on to the right interpretation. TFTC.
On my way to Piha! Did not get the hint at all but cache description and accurate coords says it all! Not an easy find ... All good here.

A good day to get all those on the way to caches that I don't always stop for when mrs c is in the car. All good here and tadpole was located.
With a free weekend stretching before me like a free thing I needed to come up with a plan as to what I would do with the available caching time. I decided upon a Friday trip to Piha, Saturday a trip out to Waitawa Regional Park and Clevedon and Sunday will be Orewa and Millwater. No real goals, just find some caches and enjoy the weather.
I left work a little early so as to beat the traffic through the main busy bits, and I was successful thankfully. I managed a few caches and it was lovely and quiet everywhere before the weekend warms up with people everywhere.

Thanks G_2 for the cache. It’s #1308 for us. We found your cache on 19 July 2020. Clue is bang on - just took a a while to get it together!! Nice hide.
Yay! We spent quite some time searching for this! So many places were searched before the hint clicked in our minds. What a good hint!! Thanks G_2sTimeout for a fun geocache to find on the way back from Piha! We enjoyed the swimming, food & caches today!

(Found on Wednesday the 6 Feb but logging now)

Found it with some searching. Not close to the frog as we expected it to be.
Last cache for the day. Bumbled around till the penny dropped on the hint. Nice hide. TFTC

On our way to Piha there are many interesting places to see
We stopped here and there to look for a cache or two, fun driving
Found well after pacing 4x in the wrong directions and finally found the pond

On our way to Anawhata Rd, so a quick stop had this in hand - had to think about the clue but then it all made sense. TFTC
Out and about with the elder Future Finder for some fun activities and, of course, a spot of cache detection. Found this one as part of our west coast adventure today. We parked up nice and close to GZ and got to searching. A careful survey of GZ and an interesting spot was spied. Further examination was warranted and the find confirmed, on execution of the assessment. Cheers for the cache placement!
Heading out to Piha with Merlot58 and Jag50 and we were passing by here so just had to stop for this cache. It was further afield than we expected, but it didn't elude us for too long.
We had found this one once before so we knew where the Froggy hung out. Came out here this morning hoping to get a head start on the crowds and before it got too hot.
Found the piggy this time where we had thought it was last time. I could see he was trying to escape again as he had rolled away from his hiding spot but popped him back and tried to wedge it all together as best as possible. Great day to be on this road headed for the beach - TFTC
Ryan and I were going to walk down to the dam and had a bit of time to fill in before meeting some other caches so drove along a bit further to this cache. Nice quick find. TFTC
Stopped on way home from local Heritage Festival walk. Found the tadpole and it's nicely groomed surroundings but no cache. Will place on watchlist.
No joy for alpenmilch80 and myself here either. Found what seemed to be a likely spot or two but no piggies for us today, will try again another time
Stopped here on the way to Piha with my Dad. We found the tadpole pretty quickly but no luck with the cache today. Will come back .
Out visiting Piha, with merlot58. Loaded a few new caches onto the GPS, and this was my first find for the day. I was told there used to be another traditional hidden here, but I have no memory of GZ, so probably had not got round-tuit before it was archived.
Well with the help of the hint, we went to one spot, then increased our GZ, and then we both spotted the hide at the same time
Thanks for the hide!

I'm sure I'd met froggy previously so knew where to stop, so RustyNZ pulled over and parked close by and after initially taking 5 paces in the wrong direction, we decided to follow our gps and soon found Piggy
Stopped here on the way to Piha for an afternoon swim. Always wondered what froggies offspring looked like! Tftc
Luckily a quick(ish) find here, felt like we could have been looking for a while because we were focussed on searching other places, but just happened to spot something and decided to look there, and voila. TFTC!!!
Yaaah last cache for the night, now I can get home after dropping the FMZ character home! We had ideas about where this cache should be but both of us were indeed surprised to find the cache where it shouldn't be or maybe it should be! But this is a cache by G-2 after-all and surprises should be expected after-all! Thanks G for another cool little surprise!
Yay.....It seems to be my day for second to finds !
First Rusty's, now Glyn's three !
I have met Froggy before ..but piggy proved a little elusive ....
Plus lots of cars whizzing past thought I was broken down...
Anyway....even though I missed the hint item initially , I saw something suspicious ...and there was the wee fellow !
Glad that you are getting out to place caches during your recuperation Glyn !

We had just returned from our two year old granddaughter's birthday party, and were thinking about where to go for our daily cache when the decision was made for us: Cache alerts!
But do we try and solve a puzzle that is some distance away, or chase 3 trads that are even further? But they are G--2 caches which we are targetting (13 to go to reach 1000 G--2 caches) so again the decision is made for us.
Pulled up at GZ and immediately came face-to-face with Piggy's Frog. Yep, we're definitely in the right place. Found the first part of the hint item, but had preconceived ideas of the hide, so the cache eluded us for a few miinutes. There were faint signs that someone may have been here before us - tyre tracks, a broken piece of trunk etc, so when we finally discovered the cache and unrolled the logsheet we half expected to see someone else's signature there. But no! It was blank, so FTF for us . Thanks for the cache and the FTF opportunity while other potential FTFers are sunning themselves in Tonga.
