Unfortunately, we have already come back from this wonderful trip that made us know a land very different from our Italy.
Though it was not enough months to be able to visit it all in the twenty-five days at our disposal we tried to see it as much as possible.
With about 4500 kilometers in the car and seven domestic flights we did as humanly possible.
With the exception of Western Australia and ACT, we have touched all states, and in each of us we have had the pleasure of retrieving at least one cache.
We thank all the owners for making the trip even more special.
Earthcache and virtual cache answers will follow as soon as possible.

On our way home now.... Hotel checked-out, car packed and fuelled, heading to the airport....
We still had an hour to kill, so I convinced geowife to drive, so I could do some impromptu cache navigation from passenger seat. We wound our way back through town, grabbing a quick 5 finds to finish our weekend at 96 finds (only 2 DNFs...) and a thoroughly fantastic time. We are definitely coming back.....
Wow - 109 finds in its first weekend since publication! Is that a record? Found quite quickly, luckily, there was a steady stream of muggles wandering about the area.... TFTC

Mr Crackers was going to be busy this afternoon getting ready for the fireworks for tomorrow night so Mrs Crackers spent the afternoon caching with maccamob.
The area was deserted this afternoon as we started our search making for a nice quick find.
We admired the view from the area and thought to ourselves how different it would be when the Todd was in flood.
No bike with us this trip, perhaps on our next visit through we can check out the trails
Thanks redcenterdazza for the cache.

Micaparamedic stopped in the nearby carpark as I was in need of Loo stop. Upon returning to the car, I turned on the GPS to see this one pop up 27 metres away. As hungry as we were for lunch, we couldn't leave here without hunting this when it was so close. A quick find and then it was into town for some much needed lunch. Thanks to redcentredazza for the hide.
Found this one on our walk back to the GeoVan after a good walk around town. TFTC
We have arrived in Alice for the Red Centre Experience Event and together with Whitewebbs we spent the afternoon caching and this was one of the caches we found. A quick find.

Spied this cache after reaching GZ and waited for some other cachers approaching fom not far away, as they would be able to retrieve it more easily. All signed the log and then we were off to continue the hunt. Thanks to redcenterdazza for adding to our Alice Springs cache experience.
Find No: 5916. Visiting from Newcastle, staying at Blatherskite Park for the Easter event, thanks for the cache redcenterdazza!!
Here in Alice Springs for the Red Centre Event. Out with Geo-friends going here and going there finding all the hidden caches. Had a great time locating. Apologies for the generic log, however due to the number of caches found, this was the best way to log. To all the CO a big thank you, it was a memorable time visiting Alice Springs and the surrounding areas. TFTC

After spending some time exploring the Event site, we headed into Alice to replenish our cash supply and also grab a bite to eat. We spent the afternoon learning more about the city and finding caches in places we would not have thought to go before we started geocaching. We were amazed at the number of riding trails around the city.
Thanks redcenterdazza for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

This cache was found on our Great Central Australia Road Trip 2017. We drove from Mandurah, Western Australia to Yulara-Uluru and Alice Springs, Northern Territory, via the Great Central Road, to attend the Mega Geocaching Red Centre Event over the Easter weekend. We returned to WA via Coober Pedy, Flinders Ranges and Eyre Highway. We drove the GeoPajero 7200km in 16 Days (school holidays: TTW needs to get back to school, although he would like to return to Coober Pedy as an opal miner).
1 stone chipped windscreen
2 near misses with kangaroos
Road obstacles encountered: Horses, camels, cattle, lizards, snakes and countless species of birds.
Thanks for the cache. SL. All in good condition.

Jumped out of the Geo-vehicle and made a quick grab in between the occasional Muggle passing by.
Log signed & replaced again. Found at pm on 15th April 2017. TFTC. redcenterdazza

Caching my way from Adelaide to Alice Springs via Uluru for the Red Centre Experience event. Today was day five and our first full day in Alice Springs. Caching in the Alice Springs and Eastern MacDonnell ranges region for the long, long weekend all thanks to the Red Center Experience geocaching event in Alice 13-17th April 2017. My apologies for a generic log, but I'm notorious for not logging my caches. I am just trying to get up-to-date so someday I can celebrate milestones again. cheers and thanks to all for their efforts to make the hide findable and most in a location worthy of a visit without geocaching (but I'm glad I got a smiley too!)
Mr and Mrs Parrot are on a quest to attend the Alice Springs Event the Red Centre Experience.
This is one of the many caches we passed in our journey to Central Australia and back.
It is great to beon the road and we are loving looking for your caches.

Found whilst on the Red Centre Event. Nice location. Beautiful morning. Thanks for the cache.
Well that was interesting. An easy find. Not so easy to replace. About to replace when a group of muggles came upon me so I read the board 8 times before they decided I was either bored or dyslexic! they eventually moved away so I quickly replaced and onto the next one.
Thanks for the fun

This was fun! The whole time there was an alarm going off nearby. We found a moment when no muggles were around and the tallest of us did the deed.
We have made the journey up the Great Central Road from Busselton WA to the Red Centre Event in Alice Springs to enjoy a great weekend of caching in A Town Like Alice.
