I am regretfully archiving this cache since unfortunately there has been no action to restore it, or any communication from the cache owner, Alicecaching, requesting additional time.

An ample opportunity has been provided for the Cache Owner to respond, but since this opportunity has been ignored, I can only conclude that the cache has been abandoned.

Caches archived under these circumstances are unable to be Unarchived, and this location is now available for the placement of a new cache, by somebody else.

###Cache Owner Action Needed###
This cache has been brought to my attention as likely to be missing.
After a string of successful Finds, it has now had a string of DNFs. I agree that this certainly suggests that something has happened at the cache location which requires investigation by the CO, Alicecaching.

The cache will be disabled and I'll check back in 30 days to see if either

- the CO has checked or rectified the apparent problem
- the CO has communicated in a Note log here, when action will be taken

**If the CO has not taken either of these actions, then we can only assume that the cache has been abandoned and, regrettably, it will be archived.**

The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is out there to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.

Thank you

This is such an iconic place, but it has gone to rack and ruin. The plaque is gone and there is rubbish everywhere. We searched thoroughly but we could not find this cache. Like the plaque I think it has gone.

Didn't find it, but didn't really have enough time to do a thorough search.

Dr Owl is in town for a few days which means I had a go at playing tour guide and a chance to see things in a different light.

This was our first stop of the day and the cache was easily found. Then it was time to admire the scenery.

Thanks for the cache Alicecaching.

The cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

Easter 2020 was supposed to see South Australia Geocaching hosting the next Easter big MEGA event, GeoVenture 2020 at Millicent. GC82DAN. Due to COVID restrictions the event is now postponed to early October 2021. Check out the event page and our website for new details. We would love to see you at this four day event. Mega event sponsored by Wattle Range Council, Geocaching.com and many other supporters. Lots of caches to find with two classic geo art trails including the famous animated bottle and glass.

Owl and Eagle are in Alice Springs on a train expedition, so collected the temporarily-resident Sushilord and headed west... then east... then south. Fun was had, along with some spectacular scenery and out-of-the-way adventures. This was the first cache stop for the day in a location Owl has seen in paintings but not in person. The cache was soon collected and numerous photos taken.

Once we had left our bags at the hostel, we went for a drive around Alice Springs to take in the scenery and grab some caches. We looked at the landscape, the red earth and the white gum trees and thought how lucky we were to be here. Back home we'll even miss the flies... maybe.

@Davidwazza and I travelled to the Northern Territory from Adelaide for a 2.5 weeks road trip holiday in the infamous black jeep. We took a route through Port Augusta, Woomera, Roxby Downs, Andamooka, and then drove the Oodnadatta Track via Coward Springs, William Creek (including a Lake Eyre scenic flight), Oodnadatta, and Marla. It was then onwards to visit Uluru (Ayers Rock), Kata Tju?a (Olgas), Kings Canyon, and then drove the Red Centre Way aka. Mereenie Loop Road to see the Tjoritja (West MacDonell Ranges), calling in to see the various highlights. We then stayed a few nights in Alice Springs, and included a day trip to see the East MacDonell Ranges, before heading home in a more direct route through Palm Valley, Owen Springs Reserve, Henbury Craters, and the Lambert Centre of Australia, and finally Coober Pedy.

Today, we set off from Glen Helen Gorge, exploring the West MacDonells as we made our way to Alice Springs.

No sign of it here today, I had a good look all around the GZ area.
A couple of other DNF's recently, so it will need a CO visit to check it.

WHOOPS! I'm logging about 100-200 or so caches like 3 months after the trip that we found them on! Completely forgot to log these but I did not forget the trip! Found this cache along with many others on an adventure around the red centre. Along this adventure we visited and explored many phenomenal and surreal places such as Woomera, Coober Pedy, Uluru and Mutitjulu, Kata Tjuta, Wattarka, Tnorala, Both East and West Macdonnell ranges, Arltunga, Ruby Gap, Palm Valley, Parts of the Finke road, Boggy Hole, Rainbow Valley, Old Ghan Route, Chambers Pillar, Oodnadatta track, Mount Dare, Dalhousie Springs, Painted Desert, Moon plane and I'm sure I've missed a few! Thank you so much for the cache. Found with Ferociousflea and -Beaker- along with our mint 79 series that accomplished alot in this two week time frame.

We found this one on our way back to Alice after visiting Standley Chasm.
We felt a bit sad at the neglect of such a well known spot that we only know from Albert Namatjira's paintings.
Thanks so much for placing the cache bringing this spot to our attention.
Cache is in great condition.

Geocaching has taken me on many adventures over the years all over Australia and overseas. It has also introduced me to a brilliant and diverse group of people, many of whom are now close friends.

Today I was lucky enough to be out and about so I targeted this cache.

Sorry for the late log, but thanks for adding to the adventure!

Thanks Alicecaching for placing this cache.

Found on our Red Centre Experience. On our way to Standley Chasm, we made sure we stopped at this cache due to our love of the classic Namatjira paintings. Caching in the Alice Springs and Eastern MacDonnell ranges region for the long, long weekend all thanks to the Red Center Experience geocaching event in Alice 13-17th April 2017. My apologies for a generic log, but I'm notorious for not logging my caches. I am just trying to get up-to-date so someday I can celebrate milestones again. cheers and thanks to all for their efforts to make the hide findable and most in a location worthy of a visit without geocaching (but I'm glad I got a smiley too!)
