We have travelled from A (our home in SW of WA) to B via the Savannah Way with a two week unexpected detainment in Mackay which has set us back, now sadly travelling back to A via the Outback Way from Winton to Laverton
We have extra time in Alice than we planned so some extra caching is now happening. Gotta love that

After doing some of the West MacDonnell & East MacDonnell Ranges it was time to head to Palm Valley on this part of my great trip up the middle with a couple of muggle friends.
Just picking up random caches while I can without upsetting them to much.
We found out that the Henley on the Todd was on this weekend so we extended our stay for a couple more nights so I snuck out early to find this one.

This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 9684.

This was close to our accomodation and keeps our streak going. Happy to find our first Alice Springs cache.

On our return from a visit to the Transport Hall of Fame Mrs one-eyed suggested a last cache before returning to our Caravan Park in Alice.

I found what is now a micro cache. TFTC Alicecaching.

A quick find for us today. Well we found the cache container but no log so we put a bit of paper in there for a log.
Put the lid back on and re-hide again.

driven over from perth WA to visit Alice Springs and to find some of the local caches whilst here. Lots of muggles around but still managed to find all the caches we were looking for. Thanks To all the CO,S for placing these caches for us to find.
Cache appears to be missing so I hope the CO doesn't mind but I have replaced the cache with a micro black betty container so we could log our visit. Cache has been placed on the power pole

Having previously found this cache we out with Shezives and Pixieg who are new caches. It is definately not there any more.

Visiting the center of Australia was really exciting and a great adventure. Beside looking for the nature and all the beautiful places I also searched for some caches and found a few.

Our second DNF in a row. We did find a pencil that was left by a previous finder, so it doesn't look good for the cache. Our thanks anyway to Alicecaching.

18/04/2017 17:48 Along with my wife Sue and daughters Rhiannon and Rachael I am here for the Alice event 'Red Centre Experience'. This should have been quick but sadly It is either gone or my eyes are painted on. From the logs I even searched the nearby object for this large cache. All to no avail. Sadly I recall seeing flashlight shere a few nights before and silly me chose not to check for a cache then. I'm sure I would have a smiley if I had done so

A quick attempt on the way out but no luck. Shame!

Geocaching has taken me on many adventures over the years all over Australia and overseas. It has also introduced me to a brilliant and diverse group of people, many of whom are now close friends.

Today I was lucky enough to be out and about so I targeted this cache.

Nice easy find

Hi there Alicecaching - today is Monday - the last day of the event here at Blatherskite Park. After the Farewell event we decided to head out for a few caches that we had missed a few days ago south of town. We had an enjoyable day with some shopping thrown in before heading back to the park for the evening. This is my find #4508 - thanks to Alicecaching for this cache.

This cache was the one of many caches along my 5 week, 5,000km trip to the Red Centre event, then out to Kings Canyon and Uluru, trekking in my Trakka! Apologies in advance for the generic logs, but there are a few!

With the Red Centre Experience event having come to an end, we spent a few more days exploring a little more of Alice Springs before heading south to Kings Canyon and Ayers Rock.

This cache was located easily enough and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our way.

Our last full day in Alice, along with trying to add more smiley tokens to our geo-map, a last minute catch up with friends and the Sunday market were all on the agenda. Plus of course being on time for the fireworks show.

One of many fantastic caches we found during our travels to Alice Springs to attend the Red Centre Experience. We had a fantastic time catching up with our friends from all of Oz and the world and making many new ones. These caches were an added bonus to this wonderful adventure.
