Not sure how the rocks were once involved; cache was easy to find once I ventured into the grass though. Thanks!
No luck here. I'm not saying the cache is not here, it most likely is but very overgrown and as previous person said can barely see any rocks. Nice area though.
Bushes very overgrown, can barely see the rocks. Hunted about but no find today.
Beautiful day to do a spot if caching along this Milford trail.
Yes still dog poop here...what's wrong with dog owners!
Signed, onto the next. TFTC

Emerged with a few scratches, a shoe covered in dog poo but no cache, stink! I will be back...
M24: a nice easy find here while out and about today collecting caches in the area. TFTC.
A nice quick find. Thanks for placing your cache.
I'm in Auckland and I am exploring the region while I am based here. Today was another lovely sunny day. No biking today, just wandering and driving around. I had a great time.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

6 of 23 caches today, and these 23 caches were not the intended target for today. originally we had planned to drive to Mangawhai to team up with a whole lot of cachers from Whangarei to complete the cliff walk series this has now been postponed to July due to the weather report from last night however I feel that the weather is better today then forecast.
now behind right rock cache creep may have occured.

Had some spare time in Takapuna today so decided to go for a walk and collect some caches. Enjoying the walk along the coast and collecting the caches. Nice quick find once I reach GZ. TFTC
A DNF here for us today. Struggled to get a chance to look properly with all the muggles around.
Another fun find with the kids while out getting our steps in with the geohounds. TFTC
was about to leave and took one final sweep of the shrub and found it, was not where the hint suggested it would be but managed to locate it
All good here thanks..
Lovely view all right .
Great position for your dad's ashes .

Good job it wasn't behind my interpretation of the hint because there was a large pile of doggy droppings there.
Relaxed on the grass and found the cache. Now it's time to head back to Takapuna. TFTC
Again with zook , Bob,rox, fries, doggis , Kermit ,Vader,Gonzo, gazza ,great find good clue but sad story
No waves in the sea but we had to wait for the waves of people to do a proper search here. Found behind a different coloured rock to hint suggestion. Tftc
We had looked for this cache before and didnt manage to find anything but we were back again today and really hoped that we could change things here. Looked at a few red rocks again no luck but spotted a less obvious one with a much better place for hiding. Took a seat on the grass waited for muggles to pass and made a grab for it. What a lovely spot for your fathers final resting place.
Found after a brief search whilst SquishyD and MischiefD played on the sand. TFTC
Out with NZ Travellers and NewlynFam for a walk from Long Bay to Devonport (although we only made it to Takapuna as we ran out of time with all the stopping along the way ).
A few red rocks here but only one had the cache today.
Thanks for the cache

In training for the Tongario Crossing and we deiced along with Keylev, Laval and NewlynFam we would walk the Long Bay to Takapuna coastal walk as practice and of course get some caches on the way.
Mr NZT redeemed himself here as everyone looked at the obvious Red Rocks and then started expanding the search area.
Mr NZT came back to the obvious and made the find.

A much better return on the return leg, maybe less people around.
Entertaining our visiting family, Day five of six. Seems like a tough ask but it really isn't . there are so many paces to go, that we've already done exploring (caching) before so we have a good idea what to expect. The baby was crying a bit so we tag-teamed each other so all could get a feed, and we managed a couple of finds whilst on grandparent duty -yay. A few good caches today and a good walk along the Milford to Takapuna walkway. A few were 'left' for another day too!

Nice easy find thanks to great clue! Cool wee spot for a cache! TFTC ( I didnt sign log because of covid but I took a photo of the log)
This cache has been a blue sad face for far too long for us. Came tonight, it was windy and the sea was pretty rough but it is still a great place to come to, I could see the lights from Whangaparoa Peninsula from here, TFTC
Last find for today. I could continue for hours, but don't want to overstrain Pyphants patience... Nice and easy find. I enjoyed this quick find. Tftc
Nice find while in the area with tmann421 today
Enjoying the trip north and the caches

Nice find with woolwood9 today.
*We enjoyed the drive / walk around the area.*
Stamped logs as tm/ww NZ which may just look like a black smudge on plastic logs!

A nice easy find on a beautiful Milford day - point three to the rookie for this find! What a beautiful spot, will definitely have to get along here at sunrise at some stage. TFTC!
Noticed this was replaced and decided this was today's focus cache. Its lovely to come down here at lunchtime, nice and quiet and just an all round pleasant spot to be. Nice to get out of the office and get some sunshine. All the best to your memories of your Dad and I always remember my Mum when I come to Milford Beach. Quick find. SL. TFTC.
Had called by here the previous week, but was very busy on the promenade, so had to leave it. Called by again this week, much quieter and an extra pair of eyes. We were able to make a thorough search but came up empty handed. Milford Beach is special to our family too, with it being my mothers final resting place as well.
A much quieter area to Takapuna Beach today which gave us half a chance to find this one. Fantastic spot G-2, I can see why it was chosen. TFTC!
Nice quick find here which was great considering there were quite a few muggles about. Cache is in goos condition. TFTC.
We had to return to the promenade after an earlier unsuccessful attempt at retrieving caches here. Easy find upon return trip, thanks to the clear instructions from co. Safe and sound replaced in its hiding place. Tftc!
day in Takapuna: headed up to Takapuna today after helping my Father with some errands this morning. Spent the day walking from Akoranga to Milford via Takapuna Beach, and experienced some really good caches, especially since this appears to be G-2’s playground. Nice views and good fun all round, so a productive day it was.
The specific log for each cache is as follows:
A poignant place indeed. The place was really crowded with walkers, so this needed to be a fairly quick one, and with the hint, it truly was. The views continue to be awesome here. TFTC!

After attending the nearby IGD event, we took off for a stroll along the beach with Kirstim and vistra to grab a few of the caches we were missing along the way. This was a quick and straightforward find, no problems here. Thanks for the hide!
After the event down the beach, Vamber, Vistra & us set off down the coast to gather the caches we hadn't found. Signed the log as KKKTT after a rummage about in the garden
Tried this one a while ago with no luck. Spotted straight away this time. Hardest part was waiting for a break in the muggle traffic. Tftc
Started out at 3.30 in the morning (all good plans start when it's dark!) The drive north was fantastic, virtually no traffic all the way through Auckland to the North Shore and in the company of Cats & Dragon's. We found our first cache at 4.30am and cached hard out untill lunch time. The weather held out for us, with the occasional lite drizzle. A fantastic day, over 60 finds a few DNF and a big hole put in the area.
Thanks to all the CO's who placed their cache for us to find and thanks for the great day!

Today was a chance to head out in the company of McCutchen Cache Clan for a little bit of a hit out around Takapuna and Northcote/Highbury areas. So trying to make the most of the day (and in that what I really mean is to avoid both people and traffic as much as possible. We headed up early and were actually caching just before 5am and were all over by noon so that we could get home to our families.
All Logs signed as "MCD" to conserve logbook space
Having set myself a couple of personal caching goal for the year (or at least whats left of it) I thought I had better crack into it and start collecting so that hopefully the last 6 months of the years is far more productive than the first 6 months.
All in all a great morning was had and we managed to stay dry. Not too many DNF's, a couple of unattempted's as not able to get to them and plenty of founds. A few of the gully's that we traversed were very muddy and so was suitably grateful for the decision to bring the tramping boots to keep the feet dry.
Great collection of caches and some very clever camouflage by the usual suspects. So all in all 65 successful finds today with what the time allowed. I apologize for the rather generic logs but it was a bit of a rushed trip so things started to blur into each other.
As daylight approaches not too far away this made for a nice quick find without muggles about
Thanks to all the CO's for their contributions, thanks for the cache.

Tricky to be stealthily here! The girls rummaged around and finally Bird came up with the goods. SL TFTC
Find number two of the afternoon with PhilBirdBoys, took longer than it should’ve, great day for it though. Tftc.
We took a short excursion to the Shore for 4 caches, as we wanted to boost our numbers for today's date. Quite a chilly wind blowing from the sea today (especially since we are fresh from a holiday in Niue). Not too many walkers around, so we were able to search and make the find reasonably easily. TFTC
This is definitely a beautiful spot, we enjoyed looking out over the water while waiting for a gap in the muggle traffic and then found the cache nicely tucked away. TFTC.
This cache became the biggest mission to find today.... for 2 reasons, one was all the walkers and 2 was the cache itself. Which bush was the right bush, red rock.... I'm color blind! I must have been here 30 mins I'd say and it started to seem I was becoming part of the scenery, some bloody dog thought my e-bike looked like a good spot to pee, I soon gave him other ideas to think about. But eventually found the thing and was able to sign in but it still took me a few minutes to just replace the cache! Glad that got sorted.
I was over this way tonight for a meeting, and having just found another one of your caches I decided to see if I could find one or two more while I was here under the cover of darkness. So after arriving at GZ on foot, I soon had the cache in hand. The log book has been signed and the cache has been returned to its spot all ready for the next finder. So thank you once again G-2 for taking the time to set up all of your caches... as always - much appreciated. TFTC
Looked for this in what I thought was obvious place but no luck. didn't enjoy cuttie trees and plants.
