OCW PelDroedGwin Another beautiful location. So many interested rocks to look at I hope we focused on the correct things. Answer sent to CO. Tftc
Ocw the Bebes as we stay in Broome for a few days. Enjoyed visiting this spot with some interesting geology. Our answers sent by The Bebes. Tftec.
We were there at 10:16 AM Amazing how old these rocks are along this coast! There were a lot of muggles about having a dip trying to cool themselves in this heat and also quite a lot of activity with boats being launched and retrieved. Thanks to TeamThommo for showing us the geological features around here.
We could have spent ages here just looking at all the rock formations, absolutely fantastic. We found one rock that looks like a petrified turtle and quite large. Big thanks to TeamThommo for placing this earth cache. Cache number 9687 on September 3, 2024This deserves a favourite point from our exclusive vault of FPs.
Belated earthcache from my holiday to WA. I really struggle with geology but I'm plugging away at them. Answers sent to CO.Low tide... check. I persuaded my sedentary muggle mother to walk along the beach from the port jetty to these rock formations. Was surprised she actually enjoyed herself!! What a fantastic place. Would definitely not have found these structures without the earthcache leading me here. Actually found another sea cave between the two waypoints, complete with skylight. TFTC TeamThommo
On our Australian trip . After started for some days in Darwin we are on the road to Perth now .On the Road after Katherine, Edith Falls, Kunnurra, Bungles Bungle, Emma Falls, El Questro, Mitchel Falls, Manning Gorge, Galvans Gorge, Bell Gorge, Tunnel Creek and Windjana Gorge .Now again on the sealed road from Derby to Broome. We stayed one additional day in Broome and went on a campground. From there we waited the low tide and went for a look for this Earth Cache . Nice spot . TFTC# 17'161
Found this cache whilst on our two month adventure throughout central Australia and remote parts of WA.Spent a few days in Broome undertaking some car repairs. While the mornings were busy the afternoons were filled with caching. Answers sent to CO.Thanks to all the COs for adding to our adventure. TFTC
What a fantastic spot and an earthcache as well! Thanks TeamThommo, answers sent!
2414 - I visited this Earth cache just after low tide here today and found myself to be just about the only person on this part of the coastline. I made a stop at GZ and found some shade as it was another very warm and sunny day. I made some notes, read the cache information and took some pictures, so that I could hopefully answer the questions correctly. I then made my way back to the car via WP2 and did the same thing. This was the third time that I had visited this part of the coast over the last few days, and it was worth the drive every time, as it is a lovely place with lots to see. Thanks for placing this Earth cache here for us to enjoy and learn a few things TeamThommo and greetings from Brisbane!
We visited this area after walking out to the plane wrecks from town. As there are such big tides at the moment we were able to come and visit this area. It's always good looking at the rock features and we wouldn't have found these ones it it wasn't for geocaching.
Thanks for putting this earth cache here to learn a bit more.

This place is absolutely stunning and so glad we got to have a walk around here on low tide. We pretty much had the place to ourselves, other than a few fisherman. We gathered our answers and have sent off to CO. Thanks TeamThommo, a well deserved favourite point for sure
After catching up with Dimorgan for a couple of days, we headed here together at low tide to grab our answers. Tftc
We had a delightful 4 days in Broome,
On Tenkae's last morning in town, the tide was low enough to visit this EC.
Two locations were visited & the information collected & after some thought, we may have come up with good answers.
It was then off to see if we could locate the dinosaurs footprints that was close to this EC. Tenkae was excited when she made the find.
Thanks TeamThommo for another intersting EC

2 weeks in the Kimberley with Dino, Pebbles and Wilma. What a treat and not just that we went around to so many great natural highlights but we did Caches wherever we went which made me very happy and will be perfect to remember all those nice places we saw. Thank you all for showing us this beautiful state with your caches.
Today we are on our way back to Broome and then a little caching around town before we return the 4wd.
This cache: the opportunity as it was low tide was good to come down to the port and do this EC. Quite nice arch. I was a bit unsure about the cave as there was a bigger one nearby. Quite busy here with people - muggles - checking out these features.
Thank you TeamThommo for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Thanks TeamThommo for another excellent Earth Cache in another amazing location. Thanks TeamThommo.another fave point coming your way.
We had been here already yesterday but didn't have time to visit both waypoints as we had to be at the dinosaur footprint with low tide, so I came back again with Little-Inegxle exploring the coastline und admiring these rock formations. We spent a great time in Broome and will continue our journey up to Darwin. Many thanks to TeamThommo for their many EarthCaches; we have learnt a lot about the gelogy of Australia and would also like to thank with a FP.Regards from Switzerland.
The rock formations found here were just stunning, in fact this whole area was! It was great to visit and have this earthcache to highlight some of the different formations.
When GreyHams discovered a great deal to relocate a motor home from Broome to Darwin, things quickly slotted into place to head out for another adventure together. Three planes and a full day of travelling later we arrived in Broome, with the most amazing orange sunset out the windows of the plane.
Plenty of time to discover a few of Broomes caches and places before collecting our wheels the following morning. It slept 6 and had all the luxuries, it was huge, climbing up into it there was no going back and off we set!
The drive was full of changing scenery. Loved the Boab trees in all their different shapes and mass numbers, termite mounds and the red earth. Wildlife lined the roads, always cattle but birds, wild horses, snakes, dingo's, pigs and even buffalo! Stunning rock formations, waterways and even many little fires it was a great drive stopping for the caches as we passed... but no crocs (sad face!)
Leaving Broome we had overnight stays in Fitzroy Crossing, Kununarra and Timber Creek, great places but the highlight being the Lazy Lizard in Timber Creek. Passing through Halls Creek, Katherine and even Kakadu among many other little towns and stops along the way added to a great trip. The van was comfortable and a novel way to travel, the caches spread out over big distances a chance to stretch the legs.
Arriving into Darwin and the van returned it was into town for a few must find caches, and to explore the town, a tad warmer than we were used to at 33C!
Many thanks to all the COs of the caches we stopped at along the way and that added to the enjoyment of the trip.

With Aquilus1 on a mad, last minute, relocation deal from Broome to Darwin.
Around Broome we discovered all kinds of cool places & earthcaches, including this one. Answers sent in by Aquilus1 for us both. Thanks for placing yet another cool earthcache in far flung places!!

We went to this area twice, as it was higher tide the first time. The tides change so much here. Some beautiful and amazing rock features highlighted. Would be interesting to see how the erosion changes the shape of the formations when here another time. Answers sent to CO. Great to find a cache with 10 months of unlove! TFTC
On my way to Perth via Broome with a few detours for LGAs. TFTC.
Great photographic rock formations in this area. Tide was low at the time. Good to learn some stuff.

I have sent my answers. I was very stressed here, thinking I had lost my GPS and the tide was coming in. I dashed through the arch several times searching, that tide getting higher. The last time, after I had miraculously found my GPS I had to time my crossing between incoming waves. I found my GPS just in time, before it was engulfed by the sea. TFTC TeamThommo.
I’m sad to report that this cache was the cause of death for a favourite pair of denim shorts today
Without having looked at the description we turned up to grab the two caches here and discovered we had come at high tide. The way to the GZ was very underwater so wrote it off and continued about Broome collecting smileys. As luck would have it, we had not yet finished the multi, and a few hours later found ourselves returning to the same spot and the water had receeded.
Having wandered out to the GZ we then climbed across the rocks to the next WP, and collected our answers. Sizing up the jump down to the beach (rather than clambering all the way back round) Barneycache made a graceful leap to solid ground. Attempting to follow, I had to sit on the Razor Rock of Death and then pushed off with my hands. Riiiippppp and now everyone on the beach including a boatload of tourists getting ferried out to their waiting boat could see my undies. RIP denim shorts, I will miss you

Having been in Broome for a few days, decided to keep this one to do on my 50th Birthday. Beautiful day and beautiful views, we sat and watched the boats launch off the beach for 1/2 an hr after exploring the Skylight and Window. Happy Birthday to me with a cracker of a cache. TFTC
Interesting area and lots of photos later. Thanks for bringing us here. Info to follow.
First time up in Broome for me, so thank you for highlighting this spot. So many people on the beach here soaking up the afternoon sun. Travelling with dad! Answers sent.
I'm unimpressed with Broome itself but super impressed with all the cool geologic features. Very interesting place!
Visited on our trip to Broome, on a 42 degree day. Will send answers when we get home.TFTC TeamThommo
Early morning bike ride to beat the heat. Didn't work though. By the time I got the info and nearby cache it was sweltering so a quick dip to then ride back dripping wet to lodgings was the ticket. Great area to explore. TFTC.
I was lucky enough to escape Sydney with work six weeks ago. When my job finished up in Darwin a week ago, I headed off on a four-week holiday rather than go back to Sydney! I'm in Broome for ten days, and I've challenged myself to find all of the geocaches here.
I set out after breakfast on my hired bicycle. I picked up clues for the multi-cache and adventure lab before heading out along the port road.
Like the other earth cache in Broome, I was lucky enough to arrive here during low tide with zero planning. I took off my shoes and had a lovely walk along the rocks and the sand, though I had to put them back on closer to GZ.
What a great rock formation! I just love the colours here.
Anyway, thanks for the cache, TeamThommo. Another box ticked!

Quick trip up north for work. Would love to stay longer however for good reason not wanting to pay the inflated prices for accomodation currently!
The place is very busy not only for work but for the sheer volume of cars and campers on the roads and parked up overnight in car bays!
Loved it up here away from the cold wet conditions in Perth if only for a few days.
Added a Fav point to all the caches found in Broome as there were few to get but all quality hides and or locations!

Such a great place to visit and I think that without geocaching I wouldn't find this place, tftc!
Found plenty of geology at both sites and it was a pretty popular place at low tide today.

Such a beautiful location which we wouldn’t have known about without the cache. Awarding a fave.
Up in Broome for a week with the missus and managed to sneak off and grab a smiley or two here and there. After visiting the other Earth Cache at Gantheaume Point I drove around here for this one as well as the nearby Multi final.
Still low tide so the stroll to GZ was without issue and a great spot to boot. I was only at the other 'Window' in Kalbarri a couple of months ago. This one is just as impressive. Answers sent, hope they're not too wrong.
TeamThommo I found your cache at 7:10am, this was the 3rd of 5 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 6699. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

Wow. Another great spot to explore. We got there just in time to walk through to the arch. Coming back we waited till the water subsided but another 15 min and we would have been swimming.
Found the big cave here interesting with a great feature in the ceiling.

We headed back up to the Kimberley for a much needed escape, Broome being our number one stop, being a couple of years since our last visit we had a few green dots on our map, so our mission was set to cleaning that up and turning them into smiley's, happy to say we came up trumps here and walked away with a smiley, will send the answers through to the CO, TFTC
Visited GZ and found the area fascinating. These interesting formations and spots to visit is one of the reasons we like Geocaching and therefore worthy of a fav from us. Beautiful day, beautiful scenery. Answers to fVery sad memorial nearby but such a lovely place for family to remember. Thanks Team Thommo for placing this cache.

We headed out at low tide yesterday afternoon. There were only a few muggle kids out at the arch otherwise the beach was deserted. Went to both waypoints to access the required information and record our observations. Stunning location and we enjoyed the wander along the beach. Thanks Team Thommo
Now that I am back home I can relive my holiday by logging all the earthcaches I found. I had a great time in Australia which came to an abrupt ending because of this virus that changes the world.

We went here at low Tide and came back later.....I don't know why.......at high tide.
Amazing how the landscape changes. Only in Darwin I have seen a bigger tidal difference.
It is really a very interesting place which is worth to keep an earth cache.

I was doing a road trip from Darwin to Perth and found this cache along the way, while spending a few days in Broome. Thanks.
This was a great EC and we had fun at both waypoints with views out to the jetty and the ocean. A beautiful spot.
Had three weeks holiday so decided on a massive road trip to the most northern part of the state - the Kimberley. An area we have never explored, but had always been on the to do list. We travelled through the towns of Mount Magnet, Newman, Port Hedland, Broome, Halls Creek, Kununurra, back to Broome, Karratha, Exmouth, Denham, Geraldton and back home to Perth. It certainly was a very quick trip for the distance covered, over 8,000 kilometres in total, we saw a lot in such a short space of time, but barely scratched the surface of what’s out in these parts.
We would like to thank the individual COs for hiding the caches throughout these parts, from the towns to the highways and byways. Thank you for choosing to share these locations with us and we appreciate the effort you have gone to. Thanks for the fun.

Had a few hours to kill after working just outside of Broome .Thanks for showing us this spot. Great views over looking the beach and ocean.
Had been to the the area a few times but only looked at the view and the boat ramp. great view with shade in the afternoon at the GZ.
On my last day in Broome I headed out early this morning for one last cache, and an earthcache at that.
Love the ability to drive onto the almost deserted beach, and explore the area taking photos and gathering info as I went.
Thanks for highlighting the geology of this natural structure

I called in here before checking in to my accomodation but realised it was high tide so I checked the tide times and came back in the following morning to enjoy the area.
Not a lot of people about as there was not to many prints in the sand but I soon added mine to the sand as I explored around the rocks.
Took lots of snaps as I explored the rocks and gathered the required information as I went.
I then went across to the next set of rocks and listened and watched the the lady chanting and meditating from above.
A fav goes out to for this great earth cache and Broome is such a wonderfull place and very relaxing.

Out to day to pick up the last earthcache on our list. Fantastic location as we did a fair bit if rock hopping. Day was perfect. Tftc. A fave
I managed to time this right and the tide was out- good thing too because these are some hard rocks to scramble over and you have to watch your feet! I found the second feature first, enjoyed all the rocks round here. Thanks for the cache.
This Earthcache is interesting in more ways than one. When we last visited in 2016 I took some GPS readings and notes with a plan to put out my own EC here when I got back to NZ as the features really grabbed my attention. Sadly my Etrex toggle button perished and water ingressed leaving the waypoints unable to be extracted and listed. Glad to see that TeamThommo also had a similar idea and produced this awesome EC. Grabbed the details and such at low tide and answers have been sent, and accepted. Great place - well worth the FP awarded.
It's that time of year at last when we're heading off on a 2 week break to Australia. We're travelling in 2 distinct phases; see our son and his family in Broome for 5 nights then up to Darwin and NT for a 6 night break before heading back to NZ for Winter, brrrr. There were not many Broome caches to be found as we had visited in September 2016, but there were a couple of newbies available and a revisit to some previously enjoyed sights and sites. A great break and good to get some mid-year sun to recharge the batteries. Main focus was Earthcaches and any collateral solved/qualified for Puzzles and Challenges as well as a friendly Event in Darwin on our first night in town. A good trip all round and nice time was had.

Hello from England! This is our first day in Broome, so after picking up our hire car we drove on here for picnic lunch. What a great spot, with fab rock formations and calm blue sea on this lovely hot sunny day[8d]. (Just don't look behind you at the ugly port buildings...). We enjoyed scrambling around the rocks to view these two features, thank you. TFTC [10323]

Some great features to look at on our scramble to the posted co-ords. Didn't time our visit very well - discovered after that it was just after high tide. The rock platform was still exposed on the way over but we weren't sure if we were going to get cut off or not so we didn't spend long at the first point. Some great photo ops! Walked back to WP2 trying to avoid the disturbingly large and deep holes in between. Beautiful day with endless views. Thanks for the EC!
This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 9842. We found this as part of our 2018 Round Australia trip.
I like this cache for a few reasons. The fist was a chance to drive down along the beach and then a lovely walk to so many special geological locations. I took lots of photos and have sent the CO a message via the message centre. We actualy own an EC of our own based on similar geological formations.
Thanks TeamThommo for the cache.

Isiting beautiful Broome and enjoying some lovely beach time with the dog. Have been here a number of times, but have never really taken the time to explore the area, so thanks TeamThomas for making us aware of the amazing features along the beach. It was awesome and we also took some great photographs.
What a great spot.
Headed out here with the intent of finding a nearby cache but thought with the tides we wouldn’t be able to make it.
A short walk on a hot day and now time for a cold beer.

Today we spent the first of two days in Broome. After visiting the horse races we headed south to the port area. The earthcache provided interesting information. Many thanks for that!
Today is our second day in Broome on this journey and as we were out in the general area we decided to look for a few caches in this end of town after having a picnic lunch at Roebuck Bay.
We had not read carefully enough beforehand and arrived only a couple of hours after high tide. Although we couldn't make it completely to the posted coordinates we were still able to get the information we needed there from a differing angle and after a bit of a rock scramble we were able to make it to WP2. With all the info read and the local knowledge collected we worked our way back to where a couple of families were fishing near the posted coordinates. No luck for them though!
A lovely area with some amazing rock formations.

Thanks for a really interesting earth cache and a chance to explore some rocks atound Broome. We got some really cool photos for our northern adventure. Thanks for the cache
I am amazed at the variety of features of this coastline, and the Skylight & Windows Earthcache sure highlights it. Along with megawat60 and Two + Four, we reached the first waypoint as the tide was coming in. A bit more clambering to discover WP2.
Then back to our camping abodes to read some more and log this cache.

Thanks for the hide & smiley.

What a fabulous example of a window that nature has created here. It reminded us of others windows and arches that we have seen over time. And yes a lot of them were also Earthcaches.
The surrounding area here was fabulous and we spent a lot of time exploring all along the beach and watching the local fisherman putting their boats in and out of the water.
WP2 is just as stunning. We thought this feature was equally as good as the posted co-ords feature.
This is another really cool area of Broome that we probably wouldn’t have visited if not for the Earthcache so thanks for setting it up Team Thommo.
It gets a favourite point from us.

On our final morning in Broome we drove down the small peninsular to complete the local earth caches. Loved this cache as it reminded us of the features found on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria which was Lady membsec's back yard when she was growing up. Having great difficulty getting the internet to send messages to the COs but will persist with the hope of better reception.
The Big Western Australia trip in 2018. Day 19. I drove down to Broome early to go on an afternoon cruise, but that was canceled due to wind, so caching kept me busy all day until I finished at sunset on Cable Beach.
The tide was pretty high, but I managed to access both locations alright. It is awesome to see what the power of the sea can produce up close and personal. I remember hunting around down here 10 years ago for a physical cache, this exercise seems even more rewarding. e-mail sent.
Thanks.

Wow what a beautiful place! This is my first free day in Broome since I flew up here for work on Monday. Both the natural arch and the sea cave are very interesting and beautiful structures. Mother nature really is fascinating.
Thank you for bringing me here Team Thommo, and for teaching me about the powerful forces of nature. I would never have come down here otherwise! I even came back and snapped a few pics of the sunset.
This informational EC definitely deserves a fave point! I'm glad my answers were correct
