Today we are caching with our wonderful friends Muddtrax and Krossbo,we have headed to the McLaren Vale area to check out a few wineries, taste wine, eat food, talk heaps and find caches, what a great day we have had. We have found a fantastic range of caches today, so much better than looking for a mint tin under 'something'. All is good at the cache. SL TFTC

22-Apr-24
Given that there was some quite decent weather today, sunny and 25, I thought it was worth getting out for the day and doing some caching. I decided to head back in the McLaren Vale direction to find a few of the caches that I did not get to the last time I was in the area. It was an enjoyable afternoon as I made my way through the backroads between McLaren Vale and Willunga. For some reason, my GPS had me on the wrong side of the road for this cache. However, upon reading through some of the old logs, I soon knew where I was meant to be looking. It was not long after that I soon had the cache in hand. The log was signed, and the cache replaced, and I was on my way to my next find. I can see why this cache has all these favourite points and has earnt one from me as well. A good variety of caches were found, with very few DNFs; All caches were found in good condition unless otherwise stated.Find #9606, at 02:47 pmTFTC Smile

Spending a long weekend in the Southern suburbs which I havent visited very much since I started geocaching. So lots of unfound caches to keep me busy. The main theme was to target solved mysteries, highly favourited caches, caches requiring a TOTT, adventure labs and any other caches that I passed by.Great cache. Worthy of another favourite point. Thanks for the cache Ozibags.# # SmileSmile #14102 SmileSmile # #

It was not midday, we did not attend the nearby establishment but Mr Kookacrew does enjoy a good cowboy movie, Mrs Kooka does not!
The title song to the movie was ......

I only know I must be brave
And I must face a man who hates me
Or lie a coward, a craven coward
In my grave
The song was written for the movie by Ned Washington and Dmitri Tiomkin. In the film, it was sung by Tex Ritter, but the release by Frankie Laine was the hit.
The title appears just once, and it's in the verse:

Look at that big hand move along
Nearin' high noon

The song is often listed as "High Noon (Do Not Forsake Me)," incorporating the chorus line.
Ry Cooder, who worked on the music for a number of films, including Paris, Texas (1984), had this to say about the track: "'High Noon' is a magical formula of elements. In two or three bars, the feeling of the song is telling you exactly what went on before, what's happening now and what's going to happen later."

Thanks Ozibags for the clever hide, always an interesting cache maker. Found it, signed it and replaced safe and sound as found. TNLN

You know the wine must be good when a cellar door sells out of it. I have never heard of such a thing and the government needs to launch a royal commission in to how this could of happened.

How can a decent business separate stupid tourists like us from our money. We desperately need to hear the things we might taste in a wine without understanding any of them or tasting any of those things.

We are awarding a favourite point for the cool hide. tftc

Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.

Based at Willunga house-sitting for a few weeks, today we set off via McLaren Vale to Port Noarlunga for lunch - how many caches can we find on the way I wonder?

Got to love a cache hidden in full sight. Great hide (or not) Ozibags.

14-Mar-19
Took a bit to find this one as I was expecting the hide to be a little different than what it was, well hidden cache.

A big afternoon of caching today, was a matter of seeing where the caches took me and finding a few target ones along the way. A nice trip down towards the southern suburbs, after a few caches were found a few new ones had been published so a rush for FTF was made in Onkaparinga national park. Then a new wherigo had been published 20km away so I rushed to that one even though the hope of get FTF was going to be rare as people would have been closer, an event followed in the evening followed by a few multis in the area. Overall a great afternoon/evening of caching. 27 finds in total with 0 DNFs.

Thanks for the Cache.

Headed south for maintenance on a handful of OTD's. Travelling with earthlight and the opportunity to find a handful of caches as we headed back to town for an event.
This was the first find for the afternoon although by our watches only a tad past high noon. It was a quick find as the camo had fallen over, therefore looked unnatural, a cool idea though. Re-attached but feel it possibly needs stronger magnets.
They were all sold out of wine... but I don't care for wine Wink
