Well it was time to start the long drive home from rural SA to the ACT. I decided to stop in Eudunda when I seen the information about it being the home town of Colin Thiele, who is actually my great uncle! I had no idea this was his birth town and the town is dedicated to him. I absolutely loved the short time I spent here, and it sure did pull on the heartstrings seeing the statue for him and all the write ups about him. I must spend more time here next time I am coming through Big Grin

No issues locating this one, signed and replaced as found.

Thanks for the cache placement barnic Big Grin

Owl had an unexpectedly free day and managed to persuade JJ52 to accompany her to a secret proposed Ad lab location for research. Of course, this meant caching, coffee and some unexpected encounters along the way. A quick find on the way into the town where everyone seemed to know Owl!

Doctor Owl had suggested a spur of the moment caching trip as she wanted to suss out a new AL and asked if I wanted to join her for the day. We had a lovely drive in the country grabbing a few caches along the way, meeting up with some friends and generally enjoying the outdoors. [^]

Today I headed north for a day of caching around Eudunda. It was a perla of a day for caching perfect temperature, blue skies and it was good to be alive.
Found around 50 caches for the day. Saw loads of sleepy lizards tying to cross the roads.
Lovely area will be back soon for more. So many caches to find so little time.
Nice quick find TFTC

11-Jul-21
quick find.
found with Mogni. Headed out in the general direction of clare and planned to clean out clare before the June Long Weekend End Event in 2022. As usual there was ALOT of caches found before then and only a couple of caches where found in clare before staying in Farrel Flat for the night. The next day was cleaning out Burra and slowly making our way home. Damn doing multi's takes so long, since the final has a habit of not being in the direction you are planning to go next. All caches that where found that were brittle or damaged were replaced and logs found wet where replaced, except for nano's. Nano's are evil spawn and you can do your own maintanence on them.

11-Jul-21
It was school holidays and I needed a break from school and chores and needed to just have some fun. I talked sir_spectre into joining me for a weekend away caching near Clare and Burra. We avoided the big towns and focused on the caches we normally drive past on the way to somewhere else. Any caches that needed some attention got it.
Thanks to barnic from mogni Smile

Moving from Adelaide to Brisbane, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I decided to drive the long distance to make the opportunity a holiday, taking 12 days and passing through Victoria, New South Wales, and then finally arriving in Queensland. We spent the first few days in SA's Riverland, visiting Morgan, Berri and Renmark; and then drove through Mildura in Victoria. In NSW, we stopped at Hay, Parkes, Merriwa, Tamworth, Port Macquarie, and Coffs Harbour, and then entered Qld to stop for a night in Robina in the Gold Coast.

Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I commenced our mega journey to the north! We had a final farewell breakfast with family in Burnside, and then started the drive, as a small amount of rain fell (Adelaide crying perhaps?). We took the route through Kapunda stopping at a few geocaches, and then had a rest in Eudunda whilst grabbing a cornish pasty. We then arrived at a friend's shack just outside of Morgan after lunch, and enjoyed an afternoon of Murray river kneeboarding and water skiing.

Upon arriving in Eudunda, we soon made a quick find of this cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks barnic for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

Looking forward to a day of caching with erine14[:X] and alysse14[:X], Rex and I were up earlySurprisedTwistedRazz
Made room in the car for the girls[^] and alysse14 shared the back seat with Rex, where she played hairstylist with his hair and gave him a mohawk!SurprisedSmileBig GrinCool
We had a great dayCoolBig Grin and enjoyed great weather travelling the countrysideCool[^] while finding 11Smile caches for me, which included a surprisingSurprised 4 FTFsCoolBig Grin[:X]
The girls found many more as the aim of the day was to help erine14 get closer to 2,000 and so the day was based around doing some of the 50 series: in the end the 0 was completed and the 2 new replacement caches in the 5... plus an attempt to drive the Corolla down the front part of the 5 where the track is rough asTwistedSadTwistedTwisted Except after having driven this track twice before, years ago, today the track defeated the tough little Corolla and retreat was the order of the daySadTwistedSad

It also included a railway bridgeSurprisedTwistedSurprised and it seems Rex has the best head for heights out of us allRazzBig Grin although alysse14 did an amazing job of the retrieval[^][:X]Cool especially when Rex had to make sure she was okWinkBig GrinRazz

After the event in Nuri with Dunmowin, the Rat and Adder spent the afternoon around the area collecting a few odd caches that were begging to be found on our map.

Last one for the day and hearing that Gridge lost his stamp somewhere we noticed that it's mark was in the book so had a quick hunt around but no, sorry it is not here.

27-Apr-19
Hi there barnic.

We found your cache **"Welcome to Eudunda"** at 12:27:00 PM today. (This makes our find count 22275).

Our primary aim for the day was to finish off the "TDF" series. Exactly 7 years ago we were celebrating Skippy's birthday at Roonka, and started our first "power trail" from the other end. We abandoned our quest about half way as we thought it was a boring thing to do, but we have since attempted many other "power trails". - We also had to find this one. As it's not part of the series it deserves a finely crafted log, not one of the crappy cut-n-paste ones that usually are associated with power trails.

We found 43 caches today & DNF'd 1. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

PS: Following on from recent comments received; our log or stamp is not necessarily placed in the last spot in the book or sheet. If we find a blank spot when we open the log - that is where it goes.
