I will definitely get to this after the MEGA, sorry people, I'm still just far too busy making gadget caches for the MEGA.
Cache gone, and I have a better idea for this location, wait and see people! The ideas are flowing thick and fast.
It doesn't seem that long since I was last out this way caching, but strangely my logs are all dated 2017...
I found this one after a short search. Tape is coming off. I couldn't get the log paper out to start with so shook it and the log disappeared into the long grass. Fortunately I found it again, but thought it was gone for a moment there...
A good spot - didn't see the bees. TFTC

Moved the car from Keeling Rd and headed along the track here for a few more. Nice and easy here and soon had my name added to the log, T F T C gorby.
Second day in a row in Henderson for me. Came by yesterday and bought a digital picture frame, but couldn't get it to work as it was supposed to so a refund today, and some caching whilst in the area. On my list was the remainder of the blues clues puzzles and some other nearby options. Managed to beat the rain and do my chores, nice one.

Second time's the charm. Been past here million of times and found it a few weeks back without a pen. Must learn to BYO pen! TFTC
In the area of West Auckland after Oratia Stream CITO. I had to use PAF option here as so many items at GZ makes good distraction for me. Also too easy for T1.5 .... for me it was at least T2 Thanks anyway!
As soon as I laid eyes on the cache, I thought, “that must be it!”.
Yep! All good here!
Thanks for another one Gorby!

Out and about on the last day of streaking and I decided to come back to the Western Heights area.
Met up with TWS here. Hadn't seen him for quite a number of years so had a good chat.
Cheers for the cache.

Find number 5663. A weekend in Auckland and had some free time before meeting a friend for drinks so decided to cache. This was the first. After missing the hide on the pass I then was able to spot it. Signed and returned. As I left I wondered if the cache name somehow described the CO. Thank you for the placement.
Found it with kids when on school holidays. We saw the bee nests. They are amazing. TFTC
Had a good look around GZ, then spotted something which didn't belong. Thanks Gorby.
A quick and easy find. Cheers
A quick visit up to Auckland to see my mum. She said lets go caching so we did! At least for a wee while..
Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

The last time I was here I had walked the trail for about a gazillion miles, so I was too tired to look for this one. Today, I just came here without any hiking, so I found this one after searching in a few places I really thought it should have been hidden, TFTC.
Had another go at this one and retried something from last night which worked. TFTC.
No find for me this time. I have given it a bit more thought and think I know where to look now. Will save for another day.
First cache for the new year! A quick find at the GZ and spotted the bees the other day buzzing around when I crossed the bridge, bring on the honey....!
The bees have moved away from GZ. You can observe them, from above, which I was doing until one decided I might have been a flower, and landed on me. That's when I decided it was time to find the cache. I inspected a few items wondering where they went. Alas...One item lead to the prize. TFTC
Needed a cache for my dot day. Weather didn’t help. But was a quick find. Gets a fav point from me for creativity
For some reason our phone GPS would not function as we neared Henderson. Thankful we had the Garmin which was able to steer us to a cache but not necesarily the one we were aiming for. Went after the Murillo Reserve but DNF, this was the next closest . Initially walked past as the GPS was in slow motion. Back tracked and quickly spotted something of interest. Kiwscot doing the honours. TFTC
Another find to add to our west tally of the day. Cool little hiding spot and no sign of the bees today which was a relief. Another great cache, cheers
A rare day that we had to ourselves and reasonably sunny as well, so we set out nice and early on a Sunday to enjoy some caching in the west. As we were walking to GZ we got a call from Hemaludys asking if we wanted to go caching Sure we said, we already are caching and in fact just finding one right now! Excellent hide and the hint made sense. TFTC!
Out for a bike ride on a sunny Saturday afternoon, and came past here. After a short search, I spotted something of interest, nice sneaky hide, cheers
Out on our bikes on a sunny Sunday for a change. Nice to have a cache to find on the trail. And a very clever hide. Gets a fav point from us. SL. TFTC.
We looked for this for quite some time, sometime ago in the summertime
This time a winner. Thanks for replacing it Gorby

where does that go well down to the wild bees it would seem. perhaps for the staff to keep a check on the bees although i saw no sign of any bees when i was there.
Up in Auckland for the weekend and a few extra days staying with my sister in west Auck and trip over to northcote to visit a 102year old aunt on here birthday. so i was able to pick up a few caches around about and we even nhad a lovely day for our Rangitoto day.

#5540. I have flown back up to Auckland for several days to present a talk. Since I have come this far I have added some annual leave to the trip and hired a car so I can grab some geocaches. Was heading out west Auckland so this was part of a short run of caches today. Managed to get this one done before any showers of rain swept through. Should have realised being a gorby cache that a D1.5 wouldn't mean it was easy. After looking for all the obvious cache hiding spots I finally spied something that seemed a bit unusual and a closer look was warranted. Yep its the cache alright. Clever camo. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for the cache gorby. I think it deserves a favourite. Hopefully I have one in the bank.

Had to visit McLeod Park on this wet afternoon. Having seen that this cache had just recently been replaced it made perfect sense to take a slightly longer route back home.
The last couple of metres to GZ were a bit slippery, but were carefully negotiated. Once there the cache was sighted after seeing what lay here and a bit of thought about the hint and cache name. Nicely done, thanks.

Thanks for replacing mate...nice quick find this afternoon...nice clean log to...almost like a FTF.....right..cheers Roger (V)
A quick look here today...no luck unfortunately. Least the bees were quiet...cheers V.
This is a favourite regular dog walking loop for us but for some reason I’ve never organised to visit this one. We had to paf this one and we think this may have been muggled because we had searched where it was thought to have n right at the ginning.
In the area with Merlot and Aiden and noticed this unfound cache. Merlot was understandably a little bit nervous of the wild bee hive near GZ which could have been dangerous for her. Fortunately we didn't see any bees today, but we did find this sneaky little hide. TFTC
Heading back after a short walk in the Waitakeres and we noticed this cache was nearby so persuaded our driver to make a slight detour. I decided I was going to keep my distance if I spied any 4 winged foes as I don't have a good history with them, but thankfully none were to be seen today and after a short search Mrs Jag found the clever hide.
After our walk in the Waitakere's, merlot58, Jag50 and I detoured to this location to find the cache. Merlot is very hesitant around any form of bees, but luckily there weren't any to be found. Mrs Jag shortly located the cache.
This had me looking for a while but then spotted it all tucked away after rethinking the hint. Tftc
nice one had going for a few mins, but then re read others logs and thought hmmm oki a look back and hmm yea i wonder ahaa got him looks all good, tftc
After last weeks failed search attempt with Evilno9 we PAF'ed the CO. He returned to the scene to get the geocache up and running in no time for us. Enjoyed a quick and happy find today . TFTC
Back again for another go after hearing the good word from the cache owner that alpenmilch80 and myself weren't completely blind after our previous attempts and after initially focusing on the wrong area, a sideways glance revealed something worth a closer look and the cache was soon in hand. No leaf blowing today either so double win! Cheers Gorby!
Was passing near to this cache with yorkshirekiwi83 this morning, so we took a quick detour to take a look for it. Arrived at GZ and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC!
Went and checked... the cache was laying on the ground, not where it was supposed to be, put it back where it should be, might need tweezers to remove!
Swung by here for a look this evening but nothing jumped out at me initially. Noticed that I was being watched by the neighbours who then came out with a leaf blower and started blowing leaves in my general direction so I took the hint to come back another time.
Nice bike ride to this one( electric of course).
Checked a couple of false places before zeroing in on to the gold. Tftc

I think I have found a cache here before, a long time ago. Tonight back again. Took a moment to spot and to answer the question, FMZ will be. [FTF] #2145 TFTC
Wow.....Turned on my phone and was greeted with a new cache....only 2.8 km from home!
Didn't need to rush for FTF as FMZ had that covered....lol.
So I made a sedate second to find ..as I was travelling along Border Rd this morning anyway, on my way to Titirangi Walking Group !
Found easily....and no bees bothered me !
Thanks Gorby!
Cute hide!

Checked my emails this morning and saw this one had been published. Also noticed that FMZ had quickly grabbed the FTF so saved this for a morning drive when I had planned to grab a couple of nearby Blues Clues caches. At first it eluded me but on the second circuit, the clue made sense and the cache was soon in hand. Happy to claim the TTF, TFTC
By-passed on the the home from swimming with Mr Cleverclogs, took a while, thought I had found it but it was a slug I had disturbed, next try thought I had it but could not work out how to extract it. With a nudge I finally got the log out to sign. No sign of the bees thankfully. PS I returned the slug to it's home so it can enjoy the rest of it's sleep.
Stopped with Granny on the way home from a swim, I wanted to go looking for the beehive but Granny said no, so I did a mini CITO and put the rubbish in a dirty rubbish bag in Granny's carboot that she cleaned and vacuumed this afternoon.
