Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Staying in Robe for a few days to grab some find. Drizzly winters day as we range from Robe to outlying areas. Thanks for the hide. LNCU??
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We are now based in Robe, exploring the wild coastline and beautiful countryside. Cache in good dry condition. TFTC. ?? LNCU
Adelaide to Brisbane the long way.Day One: Adelaide to Millicent. Weather: dire.I resorted to Google. There is discombobulating, and then combobulation, its opposite. The explanation for recombobulation was illustrated as the zone just past the security machines in an airport, where you get to return everything to its rightful place. I do like the philosophy of no rest area without a cache. The rain was clearing as I pulled up here and I was still able to see the cache through the wet car windows. Ive tried to hide it a little better. Thanks for breaking my trip here Freddo TCF.
Accurate coordinates made this a quick find , all's good at gz. Thanks for the catch
Well May has come around once again, that means off on a camping trip chasing Yellow Faces . Lucky enough to find many but have encountered a couple Blue Faces .Either way the experience has been rewarding due to the Geocache locations and the beautiful Autumn days in the low 20s.Many thanks go out to all the COs and the maintenance crews around the remote and country regions that make travelling more enjoyable.TFTC Freddo (No Nano's here)Footnote: Its a sad that today I feel ashamed to call myself Australian as this hide location is used as a rubbish dump and a toilet. Peoples household refuse, toilet paper, sanitary pads, tampons just to mention a few other unmentionables. It doesnt take much to use a bag and take your rubbish away with you or use bins that are quite often provided at roadside rest areas.
Find 4773 on March 2, 2024Day#5 on Fergzters trip to the Great Leap Forward Event. Today we began at Kingston SE and are heading in the general direction of home in Ballarat. Thankfully I don't need to be there until tomorrow. Nice quick drive by which was appreciated. All is well with the cache. TFTC Freddo the Chocolate Frog
Stopped to stretch our legs, checked the map and saw this one, Quick Look and I had it in my hand. TFTC
Ive headed to SA to attend the Great Leap Forward mega in Adelaide. So far our journey has found us in Bendigo, St Arnaud, Halls Gap and Mount Gambier and now Millicent and lots of places in between. Ive particularly targeted some geo art in SA so far including the GV2020 and crayfish series, wine glass and wine bottle and challenge series. After a lovely few days caching with Contesta, we are going our separate ways on our way towards the Mega in Adelaide Coordinates were slightly out on this one
Well after a whirl wind tour of Tasmania to help with 3 challenges that Im working on, I got back in last night packed the car and headed off to SA this morning to attend the Leap Year Mega and to also tick off some LGAs along the way as well.Well after crossing the border yesterday and staying at Millicent last night its now time for more LGAs and head to Wellington for my next stop.On the mighty Hwy 1 The Princess Highway towards Kingston and then following the coast. Its LGA time as I make my way up north.I had the rest stop to myself so a quick find and I was on my way again. Thanks Freddo TFTC.
Empty parking bay at the moment. Shame people can't stop dumping their rubbish. TFTC
Heading west today and picking up caches along the way and this was one of them. Once at GZ the cache was soon in hand. Log signed and all returned as found. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for me and others to enjoy. TFTC Freddo
Continuing my South Australian adventure, I came to this cache. A quick find was made and the log signed. With everything returned as found, I continued on my way. TFTC
On the way to Millicent with Everlasting and Found the cache and logged the log with Everlasting Freddo, Thank you so much for placing it.
Accompanied with crank1, we enjoyed the trip and detour find it and sign the log. Thanks for the cache and hunt.
TFTC. Driving from Millicent to Kingston SE this morning in Motorhome with car in tow. Not many places to pull over for a break. This is the only place we stopped enroute. Park and Grab and a leg stretch.
Heading home today, but still have time to find a few caches along the way .Muggles here last year, so skipped this cache then, but today was the day for a revisit [8].There was a jumble sale here today [:o)]. Anyone need a fridge, mattress, microwave or kids toys [?]. Well this is the place, but get them quick or they'll be gone [B)].TNLNSL.Thanks Freddo the Chocolate Frog.
Kingston to Millicent. Just a couple of caches that we chose to do while towing the caravan.
Know set up at the Lakeside Caravan Park, what an amazing location.
Today we did a couple of AL around town plus a few caches.
This gave us an good idea how the town was set out.
We found some great caches & an AL at interesting locations during the day.
Thanks for placing your cache.

We are heading off to Adelaide after spending a few days with SuperPop to celebrate his 90th birthday to catch a flight to Perth to visit some dear old friend that aren't doing too well at the moment. We are stopping occasionally to grab a few caches to break up the journey.
As time was short we decided to only pick up caches on the lhs of the road just to break the monotony and this one worked out really well as it had excellent parking as well. Once parked the cache was located after a quick search but unfortunately the ants now think that they own it and weren't very happy when we removed it to add our name to the log. We displaced as many as possible off the container and did what needed to be done and replaced everything as found. For the next couple of kilometers we were still finding hitch hikers that unfortunately we had to dispose of as they were unwanted.
Thanks Freddo for the cache and a nice break in the drive.

New log sheet added. On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. I’ll leave the more interesting detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird or Angry Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I and usually has much more time to do so while I’m driving. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC Freddo

Stopped here, but there were muggles who had just arrived before us and were sitting right on GZ , so we elected to leave this one for another time .
Thanks anyway Freddo the Chocolate Frog.

All the Geocaches are located and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck!
---
Please do stay safe when caching.
Lookout for mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure Travel Bugs are the only bugs you share and pass on
We really appreciate all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside,
it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting

Found at 15:44 during a fantastic extended weekend away with Shonkylogic and Southern Cross Caching. We had grand plans to complete swathes of powertrails and solved puzzles, but the weather slowed us down a bit. Even so, it was a lot of fun, and we passed my goal - to get my 9000th find
Friday, day 1, had us driving and caching from morning in Adelaide until the 6pm event in Millicent.
Day 2 focussed on the fishing series, wine bottle, and numerous other caches in that vicinity.
Day 3 was our slowest, due to the worse weather, but still a lot of fun.
Day four, after doing SFE series and nearby caches, plus those we passed, I arrived home at about 8pm, after finding my 9000th cache along the way.
Great to catch up with many of the usual faces, some others we hadn't seen for a long time, and a few new faces too.
Thanks for the hides

Apologies for the generic log.
Uni and Medusa, Southern Cross Caching, and I ... shonkylogic spent the October Long Weekend in 2021 attending the Easter 2020 Mega Event at Millicent.
Along the way we stopped to find as many caches as we could - because we somehow convinced our better halves not to accompany us. Or perhaps it was because they really don't like caching as much as us.
We came well equipeed in the Pahero, with not one, not two but THREE TOTTs to help us. Even that wasn't sufficient for all the hides, sometimes you just don't have the right tool for the job.
We enjoyed meeting up with old friends, in these days of Covid is really is very special to be able to hold an event like this.
Thanks Freddo for placing and maintaining the cache

Out on a caching expedition with goingplaces2 and had a good day. Plenty of finds to add some smileys to the caching map. Logs were signed, containers were replaced as found. Job done and time to move on. TFTC.
A caching run with ilook4geo produced a reasonable haul for the day. Most were not hard to find but some were a bit more tricky to locate. This one was quite good and the numbers took us to the right spot. The log was soon stamped with both names and the container was then returned to its proper place. Thanks go to 3LG for placing this cache, which we enjoyed finding.
Our time in the South East is drawing to a close now so today we headed north grabbing those caches towards Kingston which we hadn’t already found and then enjoyed a bit of four wheel driving in Mt Scott Conservation Park to grab another cache and a Trig Point.
After grabbing the cache we made use of the nearby table to make a cuppa for morning tea.
Many thanks for the hide Freddo

I originally found this cache with my Mum heymissjo, but now that I have my own account, I am logging. Thanks for the cache.
For the past few years I have cached as part of "team heymissjo", but now I am old enough to have my own account so logging the find. Thanks for the cache.

While en route to Kingston SE, this was a timely stop to ease my aching back.
Heymissjo made the find while Emeylo helped me 'recombobulate' by stretching this old man's back to a moderate level of vigour.
The stars were twinkling tonight within a frame of soft cloud.
Thanks so much for the fun distraction and additional reason to get out of the car.

A quick late night stop to stretch our legs before we pull up at our next camping destination. Been on the road for five days and heading to Kingston. The Welder and our minis and I have loved our spots along the way and first time to SA for our kids. As we pulled into rest spot, we said, there has to be a cache here... and sure enough only 14 metres away. A nice quick find in the dark, much to the disgust of the owl we disturbed. Thanks for the cache.

Found during a camping trip to the Coorong and the Southeast areas with brisal5 and I in one vehicle, and e.gregory and friend in the other. We travelled around the Narrung Peninsula and down the Coorong where we spent the first night camped out at Tea Tree Crossing. Enjoyed some challenging driving and eventful cache finds, wandering bush tracks and strenuous sand dune climbs in very scenic areas. The second night saw us camp out in Little Dip before meandering the country roads in search of an assortment of Traditional, Earth, Multi and Puzzle caches further down the coast before heading back home via Lucindale, Padthaway and Keith. Thanks for the cache Freddo!
A quick stealthy retrieval is required for this one with ants making it there home.
Log is a bit wet but was able to add to the list.

This one took waaayyyy longer to retrieve than it should have. We knew we were in the right spot, but it just didn’t seem there. Then, after walking around the tree, something caught my eye - ahh, there it is. But how to retrieve?!? Off to the car to grab some tent pegs. A bit of manoeuvring and the cache was soon in hand. Replaced it in a slightly easier spot. Tftc

The great Southeast Saunter with Anymules down to the Millicent area to find caches associated with the postponed GV2020 mega. But with leave organized and accommodation booked the caching trip was not postponed! [^]
Day 1: Today was all about getting there. We actually got to just 75 kms short of Millicent before daylight left us and we gave up and made our way to our digs.
We stopped. We found the cache. We recombobulated. We continued on. [^]

An easy find while travelling towards Adelaide today. It was exposed when I got here.
Almost need a CITO here a lot of rubbish has been dumped.
A big weekend away down to the south east of the state, the major focus was to par take in the 100mile (160km) cycle classic around mount gambier on the Saturday. Along he way as always there and back I collected a few caches (near 100 on my round trip)
Thanks for the cache and its placement.

Today was our final day in the south-east, as I did a few sinkhole and cave dives, and then geocached for the afternoon and upon my return to Adelaide. I geocached around Tantanoola checking out the town and tiger, before heading back and geocaching around Millicent, stopping at a few of the Commurra Bus series on the way through to Kingston S.E., and then making a brief stop in Meningie.
I found the tree quite quickly, but the ants didn't seem too happy that I had to flick the cache out, and must have felt that they needed to run out of their hidey hole to defend their nest. Placed back before I could get attacked, thanks Chocolate Frog.
