Logs
A group of caching friends are visiting from the mainland and enjoying the scenery while caching. The log was signed as team (viipers) who include cybergran V, SciFiRulz, Riddell, Ronice88, icybeetas and myself. This was an easy find after reading the hint
A group of geocaching friends consisting of Val (cybergran V), Ian (half of the team Riddell) Ian (icybeetas) Pam (weirdobiker) Evelyn (SciFiRulz), Ronice (Ronice88) and Sylvia (half of team Riddell) are touring Norfolk Island with the aim of finding every cache here. This was a quick find of a cache in good condition and the log signed as Viipers to save space. Thank you endeavour3 for placing and maintaining it as this cache enhanced our visit to this beautiful island.
Thanks for the history lesson! A quick enough find after working out the right level. A late morning find for those of us on a multi mission on the Isle. Glad my muggle buddy loves the long history celebrated on Norfolk so here we are. And for me its like Norfolk has been a myth or has at least has been in the imagination mirrored by faded school lessons for so longnow the dream to visit Norfolk Island is real! The holiday suddenly looks busy busy with a schedule of tours, events and 70+ caches to find. From the first step on the island everything has been fabulous. Cache found quickly and logged as VIIPERS - a crew of caching buddies from Vic and Tassie ( who include cybergran V, SciFiRulz, Riddell, icybeetas Weirdobiker) TFTC and the fun.
This one had me stumped for a bit - but got chatting to a local who, believe it or not, was a geocacher and he helped me scamble down. I wouldn't have been able to do it without him I didn't get his name - but THANK YOU Here on our second visit to Norfolk to renew our vows on our fifth wedding anniversary and finding a few cases on the wayThanks for the cache
Not sure of T rating. Ddroon made the jump across the mud and soon found the cache. tftc
Nice to find a different cache!Enjoying two weeks on Norfolk Island. Beautiful place, thank you endeavour3 for placing this game piece here, showcasing this lovely area and contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy. Happy trails!
Found on 9/9 with David343. Quick find with some friendly muggle cows watching on. TFTC
Found with Geospouse after completing one of the many tours of the island. An easy find with the greatest challenge being to avoid the mob of inquisitive cattle grazing this area. Tftc
#7534- We were looking at the north eastern coast and this was a quick easy one on our way past. Thanks
Caching around Cascades today with ADINot issues finding the cache with some careful footing into the creek. We even found a plaque on fenced off area down to Cascades pier. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
The cows knew and weren't telling! We found and signed.A fav from me for the beautiful valleyThanks endeavour3
GPS had us looking on the wrong side at first but the hint led the way. Thanks endeavour3.
We spent a fun and productive week geocaching on Norfolk Island, as well as seeing the spectacular views. We also did several tours and other activities on offer, which highlighted different aspects of the island life and history. Thanks for this cache.
Looking at the terrain as we pulled up in Phillipsburgh I can't imagine it being a farming area! It's another appealing picturesque little spot but managing crops on those slopes. I guess they were tough in those times. This evening I've been watching Le Giro cycling on TV and where they went today was terrain just like this. Over there in Italy they have the steep hillsides covered in grape vines so there's an idea for this part of Norfolk Island, establish a vineyard and produce your own wine label.Anyway to the cache - after the escapades we've had already this morning this one was a more 'normal' and easy to access hide.TFTC # 6047
Found it with goingplaces2 & ilook4geo while on a 7 day epic trip with 33 other caches exploring this beautiful Island. Thanks to the CO for the cache.
Found during a week of geocaching on Norfolk Island with GeoMates. It was a successful week and an adventurous one. Thanks go to endeavour3 for placing this cache.
#14429 12:05With only a late afternoon event at Puppy Point, we made the most of the day by ticking off the mini power trail and the central north side of the island.Between a letterbox and a cockpit we stopped for this cache which was quickly found.TFTC Endeavour3
#7591 NI Day 4With no organised events until late this afternoon, we headed out after breakfast to focus on the north eastern part of the island. Explored around the feature for a short while before we realised we needed to visit the trolls. Then of course picked the wrong side of the creek . Nice hide in the end!TFTC endeavour3
We did find the cache in Phillipsburgh not Pittsburgh. Tunnel vision helps. ?? TFTC endeavour3
Found with Ris768 while travelling on Norfolk Island TFTCLog 3294Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache endeavour3
Found with oldmorty.Nice to find a different hide. Thanks to the CO for the cache.
OCW frazeydaze. Out of my comfort zone this one so I left frazeydaze to do the honours while I watched from above. While she was down below a police car crossed the cattle grid and scared the daylights out of her. I just waved to the local constabulary. Cache all good. SLRC as found. TFTC endeavour3
While a cow and calf were doing a feeding session..in the middle of the road, we parked aside and walked away and found a QAEPAG! Ill be the one who calls out the Temperature while the Sydney troop is looking for this one tomorrow ??
Driving back to this cache, the rain had stopped and I couldn't believe the sun was now shining brightly. Wow, what a change in the scenery. This is a clever hide, I imagine it could get wet here, but it was fine even though it had just rained. As it was now hot and sunny again, I made my way to Cascade Waterfall and some of the more adventurous caches.
Day 2 of my Norfolk Island adventure. I can understand why people want to live here . Its a little bit of paradise. Lucky Im not scared of cows. Ive seen plenty wandering around Some logs signed as N2OThis is my 12048find.Thankyou endeavour3 for placing and maintaining this cache
The final cache for the day. GZ was shared by a grazing cow. She was not too worried about me getting past her to the cache location.
The Noordam anchored off of Cascade, and we tendered in. My wife and I hyped up to your beautiful national park for some hiking and stopped on the way to pick up this cache. Beautiful location! Thank you
I came to Norfolk on a huge 108000 tonne beast called a cruise ship which quickly overwhelmed the island population. Upon arriving in the main town, and a quick coffee it was time to cache. We went for a walk to Kington to see the sights down by the ocean, and found caches along the way. Then after a friendly local drove us back to town, there were more caches near the tender port, cascade. Loved Norfolk, bon voyage. Excellent cache and hint, no troll here. Tftc
Quick find thanks to the hint. The cache has taken a little further in so was difficult to extract. Thank you endeavour3
Over with IolantheK from Brisbane celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary [^]Todays cache collection is brought to you from the east side!!Made like a couples trolls, but took a while to locate the hiding spot The cache in good condition [^]TFTC endeavour3
T-Tech and I are visiting Norfolk Island for our 40th anniversary. We arrived from Brisbane and are staying for 2 weeks at Endeavour Lodge, and plan to get some R&R, see all of the sites, learn the history, and gather every cache here so we can claim the Se Dun Challenge Today's plan is to visit the Cascade area. This one was enjoyable. There's a great view and a bridge and we had a fun search. TFTC, endeavour3.
Found with the Canberra group on the 5th day of our Norfolk Island geocaching adventure. Day dawned wet but nice clear day now. Log signed as Dem CBR. Tftc
Find # 10481Day 4 in Norfolk, here for a week of caching fun with geofriends Joolay, barb2e, StrangeTrousers, and iPlod. Zoom zoom zooming around in Kermit (green not red) ?? Logging as DEMCBR.Wild and wooly weather here again today ?????????This was a quick and easy find and ?? here at Phillipsburgh today. ??Thanks so much for the many caches endeavour3 and of course for giving me a reason and incentive to get out here, and to experience this part of the world in a different light ????
Quick find but the hint helped. How exciting to be at Norfolk finally. This has been the plan for so long. Lovely to be here with Contesta, barb2e, Strangetrousers and IPlod65, signing as DEM CBRThanks for getting me out and about endeavour3
# 8963 Norfolk Day 4, team "Dem CBR" myself, iPlod65, Joolay, barb2e and contesta had another fantastic day of caching and exploration. Another day of hard climbs starting with a trip to Bird Rock. It's a steep walk down there and even harder back up. The rewards were there withe great views and some whales to watch. Then we headed over to Cascade Bay to grab the caches over there. It's a rough path to cascades along the cliffs but well worth the trip.A quick grab by Barb. Logs signed collectively "Dem CBR", which in local parlance is "them from Canberra".Thanks endeavour3 for the Traditional Cache
On holiday in Norfolk Island with StrangeTrousers. Beautiful Island. TFTC signed as DEM CBR
During July my wife and I took a break from Melbourne and spent a wonderful week on the Island - the first time for me (but hopefully not the last) and the second for her. Such a delightful place! I took my GPSr, with the traditionals downloaded (I don't really make the time to do puzzles or multis) and figured I would find a few as we went around the place. I never had any intention of finding all 41 of them, but somewhere around day 5 I realised it was actually feasible.
In the end it was a close call - one quite tough-to-get-to cache (Bird Island) I had to visit twice after not reading the description before my first visit and discovering it is really a multi and then stuffing up the calculations so I had an almost blind search for the cache; another (St Barnabas) was out of its hidey hole so took three visits before I found it among some fallen leaves nearby). But I got there and managed to claim them all.
In the interests of saving the limited data on my phone, I only look placeholder drafts during the week and am completing them back home, a month later. So with all due apologies, they are going to be pretty generic for the most part. But I will add comments about those that I particularly remember. No matter how detailed the final logs, I want to say a big thanks to those who have placed the caches and those who continue to maintain them. I had great fun finding them and they really helped make sure I saw as much of the Island as possible. So - a big and sincere TFTC

Drove straight past this one earlier in the week on the way to Cockpit, so it was time to swing back and correct that this afternoon. All nice and quiet on the road, I pulled up in a vacant spot, and headed to GZ, only to find I was on the wrong elevation. With that addressed, I arrived at GZ and spotted a tell tale sign that would lead me to the cache.
I sorted business out, tucked the cache back and as I was returning to the real world, a group of muggles drove past, quite likely wondering what I had been up to down there...
Cheers endeavour3.

Found on our day of exploring NI via geocaching. Thanks for the history lesson and the cache.
Was a quick find once we read the hint. Thanks for bringing us here, very photo worthy fav pt for sites
Twas a little tentative chosing a route to gz which didn't involve getting boots wet or muddy. But George managed it and signed the nearly new looking log book. I guess the settlement would have been fairly close to a landing area at Cascade? Tftc, endeavour3.
Easy drive by find on our way home from the cascades. That’s our morning exercise done. Now time for some breakfast.
Found by O, who then fell in the creek and got soaking from the waist down! Replaced by H who managed to stay dry. TFTC
I enlisted the assistance of Biggles303 to make the final extraction of this cache for me. TFTC.
TFTC,
Approaching the cache, we saw a couple of people looking and found they are cachers from the mainland a s we are.
They made the find and replaced the container.

Our 2nd day on Norfolk Island, when we arrived another geocacher had the cache in hand, he allowed us to stamped log. Thanks to endeavour3
On 15 October 2022 a new batch of prisoners were shipped out of Brisbane to spend 7 days incarcerated on Norfolk Island. It has now been 2 nights and 3 days into their sentence at Ocean Breeze Cottages.
The prisoners have made several unsuccessful attempts to find escape routes from the Island. To date each of these attempts has been fruitless. One of the escapees is now in search of an supplies, stories have been told of an old convict farm in this area. A few chickens who seem to have had an unfortunate incident with a car lay on the road close to this location. Looks like it is "Chicken Tonight" as that progressive dinner. ( True story)
The fresh water here was welcome after evading the guards at the whaling station. The cache was close by, much closer to the water than the long term prisoner on the Island has intended. The treasure has been returned to the correct spot. The lazy prison guards will never see it from above.

Found by brother Pat, a bit slippery to get to with the sudden light rain but still achievable. Tftc!
Find Number 2506 found at 14:12. Today we found 3 caches. We had 0 DNF's.
Day 3 of our holiday on Norfolk Island. Today we visited a number of local businesses on the "Over the Cattlestops" tour in the morning and had the Island Fish Fry for dinner.
It took me a while to realise that the cache wasn't where I was looking, so I changed locations and then made a quick and easy find.
The cache was in good condition. We signed the log and replaced the container as found
Thanks endeavour3 for the cache.

A straightforward find once I got to the correct level. All in good condition and TFTC endeavour3.
Time to head to Norfolk Island to celabrate our 70th birthdays. When we were here before we were not geocachers, this visit will be spent gathering geocaches and revisiting our favourite places. Our appologies for the generic logs it does not take away the enjoyment we have found in the fantastic places they have been placed and all the different styles of caches that we are enjoying,
