I headed out for a walk this afternoon and my circular route took me past this cache. After watching the planes landing on the grass strip on the other bank, I very carefully made my way towards this cache. It felt like I was searching for quite a while, and it was more luck than anything else when I stumbled across the cache. TFTC JosieJonesBeansy

Sorry for the late log - I am very behind with these Sad

12-Jan-22
Headed out this morning for a walk and a few finds before the sun got too spicy! Had a pleasant walk around the wetland loop and back up the bike track. Searched for five and found five! Love when that happens.

This one took me some time to find. I knew from previous logs others had mixed results finding it so I persevered for longer than I would have normally. Eventually I spotted it! TFTC

I tell ya what, i was nearly "beaten" [B)] by this one off the "beaten" path today, after looking for about 5 minutes, lol... more like 10 minutes ha ha Big Grin

It was eventually found and the log was signed at 10:35 on Tue 21/7/20.

This lovely wetland here has an abundance of my mates, the blue wren's, they can be heard shrilling and scooting about everywhere, i loved it.

Why is the Leyland Brothers' "Off The Beaten Track" now an earworm lol Big Grin

Found this one a while ago, logging now cause the app didn't seem to add it back in Jul. Great cache, and the first one my mate had found. Does make you search and scurry through the undergrowth.

10m off GZ, finally found after 20 mins of searching through miserable prickle bushes.
Turns out the cache is only just off the beaten path, not where we were looking in the prickle bushes on our hands and knees. TFTC

Out with Caleb. Not at all obvious at the given coords and I didn't read the logs far enough back to see the other hints. Didn't want to poke around in the brush too much on this warm day. We'll try again.

So I was out and about with sir_spectre and needed to get a few more smilies and go for a walk. A walk is so much better when you find a cache.

I ended up spending most of the day down south with gridge98 targeting new-ish caches around Willunga and McClaren Vale. The breakfast club event at Morphett Vale meant there was a reason to come this way, and the first part of the morning was a little sporadic before we did a few of the Cats and Dogs series, and then tried to clean out Willunga. A nice day out with just over 50 finds.

Some wet shoes walking to this one whilst walking through all the weeds and sour sobs growing about. An interesting location, with a few tents set up nearby to GZ here. Cache found and all in good shape. We were greeted to some aerial model aircraft tricks happening nearby. Thanks JosieJonesBeansy.

03-Aug-19
A nice walk along the track as across the river some remote control planes were doing some tricks.

Out for the day down south to solely go to the 3rd breakfast club event, with not much of a plan other than to just find caches Davidwazza and I set out to find cache around McLaren Vale/Wilunga area. A nice day out with just over 50 finds.

LiB & I had a day out caching...started early with a couple of events then headed South to target some caches with Mystery at the Museum Clues...
We walked & walked & walked until we reached GZ...
After a short search the cache was located...
Thanks for placing the cache & bringing us to this location JosieJonesBeansy Smile

14-Jul-19
After starting the morning off attending two events it was time to head out with hevwalker to obtain more clues for the Mystery at the Museum. Making our way towards Victor Harbour meant only selecting set caches with the targeted clues.
After seeing the surrounding area, it looked like we could have been poking and looking under natural camo for a very long time as co-ords we a little off. I wandered away from where hevwalker had GZ and said "think like a geocacher... where would you hide a cache" and bingo had a cache in hand
Yay, another clue... progressing along nicely

Took the ride a bike option. Down the hill is very fast. Cache found and logged. Interesting location.

01-Nov-18
I certainly didn’t take the beaten path to get here. I can
Cross country making a bee line from where I parked in a CarPark to GZ. That may not have been the wisest approach, but I made it. Good to see there was somewhere to rest before heading back the opposite direction after making the find.

Thanks for the cache JosieJonesBeansy.

02-Oct-18
found it on the way to darts, in the rain and under torch light. found a easy way in and then starting walking around in circles looking for the cache. A hint would have been handy since it was dark. Found using hurtles co ords and the caching gods were pleased, coz then it stopped raining. Not so quick find and just made it to darts on time.

08-Sep-18
Was a bit chicken to wander into the long grass and decided to read some logs first. Took note of Lavas comment and found a bit of a path in, then stopped at 7m to go as per Hurtles log. There it was. Lots of lovely birds around, but I bet some snakes in the warmer weather. Eeeeek. Thanks for the smiley and mini adventure.

A nice easy walk over from the River Road carpark, but there were so many places to look Sad. Fortunately Mrs DISK spotted the cache fairly quickly Cool.
TNLNSL.
Had to shelter next to a tree and wait for a rain shower to pass before heading back Razz.
Thanks JosieJonesBeansy.

I took the long way to find your cache and I enjoyed my walk. I found it easily with Hurtle’s coordinates.

A nice short walk along a path I know well from previous sorties near here... just after a massive downpour!
Was way NE of city when new nearbyish caches were published. So had no chance for a ftf I thought!
GPSr took me to a likely GZ with an interesting piece of cammo, see pic, but no cache. Spread out the search to an obvious spot and found the cache about 7m from listed.
Dropped my *FTF* Geocoin through too... @ 1145

Well...that took a long time even with Hurtle's updated coordinates. Surprised

I had been to Bunnings with a couple of muggle friends and asked them if they would like to come for a walk with me which they did. [^]

So we arrived at GZ and there were so many places a cache could be hidden so we started looking...and looking...and looking and eventually (after muggle friend asked how long I would usually look for a cache Surprised) I spotted something when looking from a different angle...yep it was the cache. Big Grin Well that was a relief. [^]

There is now a geotrail that I don't think will be any use to anyone as it goes backwards and forwards and round and round between 3 or 4 trees. [?]Wink

Thanks for the cache and the experience on a cold wet wintery day JosieJonesBeansy. Smile

Not sure what to say about this except I ended up phoning a friend. Nice to get out after the rain. Tftc

I enjoyed a nice walk from River Road after work. Thankfully the rain mostly stayed away and I only got a couple drops on me. Plenty of places to hid a cache at GZ. TFTC
