After getting help for this one I went for a walk and had a climb,no good. One spot a bit higher so back to the car for the ladder, still no good so I walked away, maybe some other time
I’m not exactly sure what I found here as the log book is signed and dated very differently from this cache. Hhhmmmm. I think it may just be time to take a tea break. Maybe I found an old archived cache?? Photos taken just in case.

Well I’d love to say I got excited about the rules BUT there were a few finer points that even my super keen cricket buddy fan had to think about and we were still one run out and it’s the sort of game I’d be run out a bit too quickly for it to be fun. Needless to say I did not get a green tick but thought it pretty close and who knows, maybe that ticky umpire wasn’t playing fair. Widened the search and as it happened did not find that prize and was run out. Plan B - contacted CO after pouring over rules again and he kindly got back to me and wouldn’t you know - I’d already climb that tree! So, after further inspection dug deep into my reserves and kept digging to clear a heap of accumulated debris and was hugely pleased to feel a corner of you know what! Yippeee and bingo bango - log signed. No more scoring for me. TFTC and the FUN! A fave for location - not that you could play cricket here!
What a lovely day out in and around King’s Billabong. Lots of campers on the river. Didn’t quite get the area cleared, so will be back but not on this trip. Highlights for today included wildflowers, river views, and a surprise encounter with a wriggly stick
Have to say, my knowledge of cricket is limited to boundary hits and over the fence A bit of fun to mix it up at GZ

While in self isolation waiting for our covid test result (it was negative) we thought that this was as isolated as you could get and headed down on a clear sunny crisp day. Spotted the likely hiding spot from a distance, but there was nothing there when a circuit was conducted at GZ - then a more adventurous option was spotted and lo and behold the cache was right there [^]
A nice simple puzzle that yanks would probably struggle with
Thanks ww2_nut

After a few days in Mildura with Happy pants, Happy Feet, The Empire, omegaman1971 and Rebel Acts it was time to grab a coffee and grab the last few caches before heading for home. It was a great time away with nice weather and good company. A great time was had by all.
SO - with the prerequisite coffee and car fueled, we headed back to grab the few remaining caches in this area.
Thanks for the cache ww2_nut. Appreciate your efforts.
Stamped log and returned as found.

This was a great opportunity to get away with some caching friends in Mildura. The plan was to hit some of the local trails and geo art. There was many other hides discovered, with some really great containers and hides in the area.
Rebel had done the work for this puzzle, so we enjoyed the walk in to GZ where we made a neat hide.
Thanks ww2_nut for placing the cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy the find.

My last day here in Mildura, Happy Pants was keen to finish the Game of Thrones series this morning - no matter how much walking we needed to do! Snap Happy, Rebel Acts and Happy Feet joined for a fun morning wandering around these cool trails picking up clues along the way... and any other caches that we came across. Thanks for the cache ww2_nut.

Ahh the joys of knowing a cricket tragic... great for me as they help make this one an easy solve but also bad for me as l have to listen to them prattle on about the ins and outs and other rules around this some what strange sport, l just never got it! Up to four days to play one game and you do it all over again in a week or 2 time. And not to mention you can finish in a draw, huh... It must of gave us the old saying of watching the grass grow because in that time frame you could literally see the grass growing in front of you. Any ways after a bit of a walk and short scramble we soon had the good size hide in hand. Thanks ww2 nut for the puzzle and the hide.

In Mildura for a few days with Snap Happy, omegaman1971, Happy Feet, Happy Pants and The Empire.
After finishing off the GOT series it was time for Me to do the turtle series, it was a little challenging getting to some locations but I managed to get them all done.
The highlight for the day were the fantastic gadget caches in the area.
Thanks ww2_nut for the cache.

This was a great puzzle that took a bit of research. Having the nearby multi on my must do list for today, sadly we are at the end of our adventure for the day. But not the last log. Multi will wait.
Found on a trip from Adelaide to the Mildura area for a few days of caching with Team Waldron, Brisal5 and FeatherWaite. Our main targets were the Paddle Steamer and Turtle geoart series' but we also took the opportunity to seek out a few other caches along the way.
We were fortunate with the weather. After a burst of very hot days, we timed our trip nicely to coincide with the milder conditions before the next hot spell. That helped to make both the caching and the camping along the Murray River and in the Murray-Sunset National Park very pleasant.
We ended up finding all the caches that we had targeted. Most were in good order. Some of the puzzles were quite challenging and there were some very novel and entertaining multi's. Some certainly took a bit of finding and there were many very clever and/or tricky caches and containers that were a credit to the cache owners’ ingenuity.
It would have been good to have had another day or two to complete the remaining caches in the area, but I’m sure we’ll be back.
Thanks to all the cache owners for the hides.

Over from SA for 4 days of caching with Egregory1, Featherwaite and Brisal5.
We came primarily to do the Paddlesteamer series but picked up orthers as we drove around.
Apologies for the generis logs.
All caches we found were in good order.
Thanks to all cache owners whose caches we found.

Found during a trip from Adelaide to the Mildura area for a few days of caching with Brisal5, e.gregory1 and Team Waldron with the main aim to complete the Paddle Steamer and Turtle GeoArt series but also to find other caches along the way. We camped out on the banks of the Murray River near Mildura on the first night, at Rocket Lake campground in the Murray-Sunset National Park on the second night, then back to the banks of the Murray River near Merbein on the last night. We signed the logs as B.E.F.W. Thanks to all the cache owners for placing the cache!
***Generic Log unless something special above this line.***
I have seen a T shirt with Sleep Eat Cache Repeat [^] Well a four day trip to Mildura with caching friends Team Waldron, E.gregory and FeatherWaite certainly fit that bill. Logs were signed with initials only for the teams - BEFW
Up at daybreak, quick breakfast and cache all day stopping only to have a snack whilst out on the trails, rush to set up camp near dusk for a meal, then perhaps some night caching, early night and REPEAT!
Strategic camping at Kings Billabong, Rocket lake and The Common meant we were close by the Geoart and target night caches. Two previous trips in 2013 and 2016 by me and some by E.gregory meant we visited some (well quite a few actually) previous finds but that made it quick for the people that hadn't found them previously.
I can't thank the CO's of these caches enough as some were really very inventive. Even having solved most puzzles before we came we were confronted with field puzzles and gadgets that were just mind boggling. [:X][:X][:X]
***Thanks ww2_nut for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Hi there ww2_nut.
We found your cache **"Old George taught my a thing or two about cricket"** at 1:01:00 PM today.
Today we headed out from our camp site so we could finish the "GOT" series. - but we also had to find this one. As it's not part of the series it deserves a finely crafted log, not one of the crappy cut-n-paste ones that usually are associated with series logs..
Thanks for placing this cache here. Over the years, Geocaching has taken us on many adventures and to lots of wonderful destinations all over Australia. Without 'caching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic wanderings. 'Caching has also introduced us to a diverse group of like-minded people, many of whom we now call friends.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache roughly where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley Badge
Thank you ww2_nut for adding to our adventure.
Regards
Ian & Penny

One half of the team is a keen cricketer from way back so this mystery was a bit of fun to solve.
Then once we were both at GZ, it was the other halves job to make the retrieval.
We are having a feeling of déjà vu here!

Final singing lesson for the term for geoboy13, so geoboy11 and Geomum went geocaching in the fresh air while we still can. Was very quiet but lovely day to be out in nature. Thanks for the fun puzzle to solve (Geomum works with sports), and for the fun hide to find at GZ.
Our destination was Mildura this weekend and we met up with Romax as planned to make aour assault on the Turtle Series as well as any other cache that we could pickup.
Neither of us knew much about cricket so we had resorted to various relatives who follow that sport.
Thanks for the caching fun ww2_nut
Found by Roma and Max.
Visiting family gave us the opportunity to find some more of your geocaches, this being the second since our arrival.
Although not being cricketers ourselves we have a son in law enthusiast who has taught us a thing or two about the subject and now a grandson who plays locally in an under 12 team which we take pleasure in following.
We enjoy searching in the location of GZ having ventured here on a number of occasions with similar objectives.
Thank you again ww2_nut.
Cheers from
Romax.

Another sunny day in and around Mildura
While looking around, we found your cache!
Logs with the team Mattycat stamp include Purrfect Di, Jack, and Sebastbat as well as teen muggle Alex. Some may get our initials as well All have made us smile
George, and now Mr Nut, have taught me more about cricket than I ever needed to know!!!
Why did that guy take his helmet off anyway???
Glad that's done now. Nice location.

Suscoe headed out again today in the company of our great friends Phetlern.
It was a cool and cloudy start to the day but it ended up sunny and mild.
All in all a great day for caching in and around Mildura.
We headed to the south east and found a good range of caches near Irymple and further out.
King's Billabong was beautiful in the cool morning air.
Thanks to ww2_nut for this cricketing challenge.
Did the required research and found the answers to most quite quickly but there is always one that causes problems so we had to revisit the rules' book and soo we had solved the conundrum.
A nice hide too.

After a trip out to Lake Mungo this morning, we needed a caffeine fix to keep us going for the rest of the day so a trip to the Golden Arches Cafe was in order. While there i browsed my map for the afternoons caching locations and I noticed that I forgot to find this particular cache while we were in the area yesterday.
Along the way Mrs Perpetuallylost notices the large department store en route and decides she wants to have a look there instead. I soon drop the family off and head out solo, as I can walk quicker on my own anyway.
Soon found GZ but couldn't locate this one anywhere and found a likely spot that could have housed it and it was empty also. Extended the search area to no avail and ended up conceding defeat and contacted the CO who took pity and gave the final hint leading to the hiding spot. If only I had of taken better note of the T -rating I might have found it. But that info came in handy for a cache I found later in the day so it wasn't an entirely fruitless exercise.
Thanks to ww2_nut for another clever puzzle and hide, had this one solved before I left home and glad to have it now found and signed. Appreciate your help here, cheers!

Travelling around Australia, today we threw the GeoBike on the car for Mr Felix to tackle the last few Turtles and a few more caches around Kings Billabong before the rain tonight.
Just before lunch 11.30am and Mr F was on his bike to see what else he could find. Managed to find your cache today. My lord didnt this teach Mrs Felix more than she ever wanted to know about Cricket. Mr Felix started this puzzle being the only cricket playing member of our team but alas the checker did not agree so google and Mrs F had a chat and the coords finally came up a winner. Mr F loved it on his cycle today getting lost near GZ.

A fine sunny Spring day for a trip out here with honeysucker.
Only solved last night and too late for a night dash. Some of the puzzle had us thinking hard.
No muggles around here and a good quick find, plus a bonus *FTF*.
