Unfortunately I am going to have to Archive this cache as it has been vandalised. The side rail where the cache was has been ripped off and disposed of somewhere. Thank you to those cachers that put the effort into finding this cache when it was there. Happy Caching.
In reference to the DNFs of Troodles and StreetwalkerNZ, we visited GZ for a second time on September 5 - the same date as it was last found, and there had been no more breakages beyond what was already broken on our first visit/DNF some months ago. So it is probably there. Just it is a tough sneaky small one. After visit 2 we were none the wiser.
We took different routes to GZ. Both were a bit boggy but we arrived at GZ unscathed. We looked for some time, but had no luck. A previous finder sent a photo, but couldn't remember exactly where the cache was hidden. One of the side rails in the photo is no longer there. If the cache was hidden under that then it's probably goneburger.
It was disheartening to read previous comments about the cache being an easy find...All we got was filthy searching.
Used to feed the ducks down the other end of this area, but never been to this end. Bit mushy at this time of the year. Easy wee find. Found, signed and returned. Thanks for taking the time to hide.
It's muddy, swapy, not a good idea with kids. Unsure the tool needed. Didn't even know where to start as a lot of the area is unsafe to be walking around (we have just had a lot of rain though)
Came up from oamaru to check up on wife's parents and a bit of fence repair. This red zone is close by and a great place to walk the dog. First visited this cache well over a year ago with no luck. Had no real intention of doing caching this morning but found myself quite close and thought a quick check on water levels to see if I needed boots but all dry the way I came so found myself at ground zone and spotted it straight away this time but had no pen so walked the dog again this afternoon as light was fading to sign the log. Tftc
DNF Will come back

Got some wet feet in getting to GZ. Once at GZ we were stumped. Too clever for us today unfortunately. We probably did not have the right tool, but despite some searching never got as far as determining just what tool was required. Another time.

** I am not breaking any laws. Just very behind in logging safely from the comfort of my own home **
Brother was in town, and I'd already had DNFs here, but mum had said she was sure he'd find it. So popped into town, grabbed mum, and wow sure enough, he found it!!

The 'kids' picked me up after work, and we stopped by on the way home. Great hide, plus so many apple and pear trees nearby!! TFTC!!
Didn't find today because I actually felt a little uneasy round here, so I didn't spend much time looking. May come back with my partner or big dog another day.
Finally got the smiley for this one after a few half hearted looks. Well worth a fav point.
Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

Cache # 8205. Rodney had an appointment at Burwood Hospital this morning so, after a coffee and slice at the lovely cafeteria, we looked for a couple of geocaches on the way home. This one was very easy in spite of being very clever. Took just a few seconds, and no wet feet. Worth a favourite! Thanks for the cache. Rodney and Iris.
Not the first time we have been here, hopefully more prepared this time. Came with busy paws, very wet to get to the right spot. Between the three of us we had what was needed and very happy to find this tricky wee thing. Well done on the clever hide. Thanks for this cache bo&bronnie.
My third visit to this very clever hide. Found with coconuts3 , after a pretty wet walk in and another head scratch and then Mrs coconuts3 said the magic words.. SOO glad to have got this wee blighter. A Fav. TFTH
Third time lucky. The first time we had the wrong footwear and the water was a bit too high to move to GZ. The second time we came equiped with gumboots and made it to GZ, but of course without any other tools. We should really read everything... Today it was the third time and with sadness we could see that someone else was not very careful in his search and some of the possible hiding objects are broken. However the cache was still fine and with the tools we were able to retrieve the cache and sign the log. Thank for this great hide.
Stopped by for a bit of a peep before going on a cyclocache ride to Sumner. Got to GZ okay (was wearing my gummies) but not sure what tool I was to bring, so I didn't bring any. Saw nothing unusual apart from a very sh..ty and smelly GZ. Uugh. [xx(] Don't know whether I'll bother going back for a 2nd attempt,
Wow cool cache. Great work. The kids were wowed. Thanks for leading us here. Still find the red zone so sad. No pen today, but took a pic.
A lot of water surrounding GZ so the closest I could get was about 15 metres from the cache. Will try again next time we're passing. Geodog loved the run around
I checked on this cache today, and it is still in place waiting to be found. I have also added to the Hint. Happy Caching.
Wasnt able to locate spent a wee bit trying to search but kids got a bit scratchy, we will be back next time
I feel that I'm missing something here! I'll be back and hopefully it will reveal itself! It's a lovely spot.
Had to go back to find this. Missed it first time. I do rememeber going along this track prequake looking for a cache
Walked in and then had to Bush bash to main track. At GZ we spent a bit of time looking and figuring things out. Some log reading and spotted something that was a little off. Very nice cache hide. Tftc
Now that was a surprise and must admit to a nudge. We were sure we had the right items to play with but we were so wrong. This is a grubby spot to be searching in so took plenty of alcohol hand wash this time. Such a sad place really. So many plantings growing wild. And a surprise GZ. Enjoyed the chase. Thanks.
Very clever hide. I admit it, I got a hint from PC after a good search. Thanks for this hide. Loved it. #3404
Sir Belac and I went out to get this cache as soon as sb finished school it took abit longer than it should have finally found it with a little help .Thanks for placing this cache bo&bronnie
In Christchurch for a long weekend staying with Sir Belac and his family. This is currently the closest unfound cache to his place and I'd driven past a number of times during the weekend but it was so full on I didnt have time to stop. I tried yesterday but got there and realised I had 5 minutes to pick up SB's little sister from school so no time for a proper look. On my way home today so made a point of stopping took a few minutes then I noticed something out of place, a very clever hide thanks bo&bronnie

We're so pleased to see another Cache placed where one of our's used to be..It's sad to see this area now, although there would be no chance of being Muggled..Lots of Ducks and Ducklings in the water today..TFTH

Out on a Mad Monday Mission with TG and had a few to tidy up around the 'neighbourhood'. Fun evening our as usual. Nice to have the longer evenings too. Took a few cracks to get here. We headed one way and due to the recent rain we were looking like getting our feet wet. We changed approach and found the water greeting up too, so we slipped off the shoes and waded to GZ. TG got his hands on this one and we waded back towards our first approach. Nice spot, fav from me.
Thanks for the cache bo&bronnie.

Monday night mad mission time again with TheWanglers. This cache was ont he cards a few weeks ago but we got distracted by Duck! and the FTF opportunity!
This evening we thought we would head here again....not sure of the best approach and it took a bit of a drive of the neibourhood before we found the way in & parked up next too the wee garden area. Someone is definately still taking care of the area - nice to see.
Headed off to GZ....we spotted where we needed to be but with all the rain the water level was well up...hmmm...walked around and tried to approach from the other end. Just as water logged. Oh well; we're here, shoes and socks off and walked in, only the middle section was dry!....soon enough making the sneaky find and sign & squelching back out. Sat at the nearby seat to put shoes and socks back on. Onwards!

Caching in the area today whilst visiting family and making the most of the great weather and caches along the way.
Approached this on foot from Duck so my route was perhaps not as straightforward as it could have been, but still an enjoyable stroll in the sun with the wildlife out in full force and it wasn't too long before I hit GZ.
My initial sweep was fruitless as I was focused on a different type of hide, but after sitting down for a bit I reassessed and took a different approach to trying to find the cache and immediately spotted something warranting a bit more of a look. Could have easily been here for a lot longer but managed to get the cache and continue my walk before too long.
Really enjoy caches like this where some time is needed, but there's no likely risk of having to explain yourself, as well as the location itself being a little bit different. Easy fav for me. TFTC

I made my way to Christchurch, picked up jess.daphne and we made our way to our first cache for the Mega weekend. We had a few ideas but it wasn't there and then I put my finger on it and felt movement. Aha! Nice hide in a cool spot. Tftc.
I had been by here when the cache was first published but came up empty handed. Today out caching with injeanious she was the one to put her hand on it. Great hide and a cool spot. Tftc!
Oh so clever and tool I had with me did the trick. Spotted a new thing and yes that was it. Yes this was a lovely area pre quakes and the city to surf came near here years ago shame. Fav from me. TFTH
I spent the afternoon trying to finish weed-matting and laying schist on a new path in the garden but ran out of schist. Aha! An excuse to head out - more schist and a sneaky cache, I figured.
As this was one of the closest to home I made my way to a nice close parking spot and looked for the track.
It turned out to be easy to spot and, dressed like MrDan (shorts and jandals), I took a short walk to GZ.
Loads of bitey insects around today and I could hear a couple of angry sounding geese.
At GZ I had an idea what I might need to look for based on old conversations with the CO. I was wrong. Then I remembered something I'd seen in a previous log.
Ah! That'll be it! Now, what TOTT do I have to deal with that? Tried one without luck. Tried another I was sure would work but no joy with that, either. Back to plan 'A', with a bit more determination. That did it.
Can't say any more without giving it away, but definitely worth a favourite point. Nice work, Bo, best "micro" I've seen in a while.

Followed the elephant tracks almost to the water. Watched a duck and ducklings. Had a good look around and then did some thinking. Ah got it. TFTC
Was in the middle supervising the play of a 1 year old and 3 year old in a sandpit so when this cache notification popped up, it wasn't a hard decision to head out and try for the FTF. A few minutes later I parked up and wandered to the GZ. Only had my phone with me and the GPS wasn't really settling down on a particular area, so it was a methodical search to begin with. Poked here, prodded there, lean over there, before coming up with an idea of a hide location that turned out to be right. A blank logbook greeted me, and FTF was signed at 4:19pm Met up with an arriving Bugzptr as I was leaving, and passed another likely cacher as I left. A nice hide. Thanks for the cache.
Arrived at GZ to find 2wombles leaving with a smile on his face. Decoy dog and I started our search, to no avail. After a small amount of time jess.daphne arrived and started her search. Unfortunately even combining our searching we weren't able to locate. Will return.

Was going out on an errand to Wainoni and coincidentally noticed the notification on my phone. It had ben more than half an hour since the publication plus, I still had to drop some stuff off at Wainoni first so I didn't get my hopes up but was still pretty excited as the cache hadn't been logged online at the time yet.
Arrived, parked 70m form the cache, went for it and found it pretty quickly. Did not meet anyone else.
First finder hasn't logged his time found , I wonder by how much was I beaten, probably a good half an hour at least.
I enjoy abandoned/forgotten places and I like nicely crafted hides, so this gets a favourite from me.
