Great way to visit places you would normally just drive past. Its like looking for idols on Survivor
Quick find on the way home from a short caching trip. Looks like some Reno's happening so may come back in a few months and see if this is being fixed. TFTC andy.gail
Travelling with iluvtrekking on a SA caching foray. Staying a couple of days in Clare to grab some finds. Thanks for the hide
I decided to take Friday off work to make it a four day weekend. The plan was to explore around Barossa and Clare valleys. Im not much of a wine drinker but there sure are lots of geocaches in these parts. I brought my bike along so I could tackle some of the many caches along bike tracks. A little cool through out the day but the sun was shining which always makes me happy. Yes I am a John Denver Fan. A quick park and grab here. All good. Thank you andy.gail maintained by TheKellyGang, for placing If These Walls Could Talk for the geocaching community.# # #14934 # #
Checked while in area, still all good. Thanks to The Kelly Gang for looking after the maintenance for us.
Enjoying an early morning walk and caching in Undalya and surrounds before the temperature rises too much. Many thanks for the hide andy.gail
Found by Mary and David at 14:00. Really hope that the Lady of the house had many moments of happiness during her time here. If there were children, we hope they survived rather than dying during some epidemic. Our thanks to andy.gail.
Travel to the Clare Valley and try and get the rest of the that I couldn't find previously. As well as surrounding town. Unloading and loading the mobility scooter to collect the finds. TFTCQuick park and grab on this busy road.
Quick find. We thought it might be near ruins, but this looks like someone is making this building a new
Day 7 of our initial "grey Nomads" trip heading north for 4 months. We departed Echuca and after completing some Vic LGA's, crossed into SA and headed north to Loxton and now on to Sedan.
After a couple of bad days early this week after a break-in at our farm, we are on the road again heading towards Port Augusta, then on to Kyancutta for the JLWE events.
Nice little cottage,

When we drive past the spot in search for the cache with lots of hearts we mused how great it would be to repurpose these little cottages into tamper's huts for the Rattler trail. On return to Auburn we noticed the lonesome cache and quickly converted it to a smiley
A return visit to Clare was planned for the long weekend with the JAMS crew plus tallbikestan to find a lot of the caches that we didn't get to on our last visit along with the Rattler, Riesling and NE trails as well as the Mid North Channel Country trail. [^]
We had three very full days with perfect weather for caching, lots of bike riding, lots of walking and lots of driving along dirt tracks. We were lucky it had not recently been wet as some of the roads we drove on would not have been passable if wet. Loved the scenery at this time of year with everything looking very green as well as the bright yellow of the canola crops.
A fun weekend of caching, lots of caches found and lots of cool places visited.
Thanks for the cache andy.gail.

A big long weekend with the JAMS Crew (JJ52, allister w(me), mogni, Sir Spectre and tallbikestan). We road from Riverton to Stanley Flat on day 1. Then more riding near Spalding on day 2. Then finished the weekend with finding caches around the area in the car. TFTC
quick find
The JAMS team ( JJ52,Allister w, Mogni, and sir_spectre minus mitchell&hound ) but Tallbikestan was with us instead and we where out for there usually monthly caching adventure. This time it was over the october long weekend instead of the usual day trip. The taget this time was Drop into the Light a long ladder cache on the way to clare and then to clear the Rattler trail, Riesling Trail, Ne Trail saturday on the bikes and then sunday do the Mid North Channel Country bike trail. Monday on the return home was to get Peter's view a 2001 cache. Of course there was many, many other's found on route to the various target for the weekend, somewhere around 260 found by the team. It could have been more but we were not going at a flat out pace, just steady and getting a blow out on the bike 1.6 km's from the end of the Mid North Channel Country bike trail didn't help. I didn't see any snakes this trip but allister did, he saw 5. The caches this trip where written in as JAMS, i forgot the stamps. Also 1 cache was placed by the JAMS team this trip. Out of all the bike tracks i preferred the Rattler /Riesling trail. I like riding through the very rich ( after all the recent rains ) fields of yellow flowers.

The JAMS crew went on an October long weekend adventure back to Clare. We brought Tallbikestan along as we were targetting the bike tracks and he is the best rider amongst us. Allister W and sir_spectre we the other main riders, with JJ52 and I the support crew and walkers. A huge weekend of fun and adventure was had by all, until I made SS sick with my cold....oops.
Thanks to all those who have kept not just the bike tracks but all the other caches alive for us to find.
All caches signed as JAMS.
Thanks to andy.gail from mogni

Another cache found on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. The weather has changed and we have a beautiful day in Clare today.
We are enjoying our time travelling SA, fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs. Our thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour
Day nine of our short South Australian trip with BettyBoo3747 and the geo-doggies.
Traveling from Blanchetown to Clare with a Cornish pastie in Kapunda.
A nice drive through the hills.
Grabbed a couple of AdLabs, and a few other odd caches we passed.
Great to see that someone has started to renovate this old house.
Sad to see so many ruins of old houses in the country side.
Thanks, Robmc.

#19089. Day 9. of our Vic/SA trip with Robmc the geodogs and our bicycles. It was a moving day today between Blanchetown and Clare. So enjoyed the drive and the scenery once we got to Truro - beautifully green and lush at this time of the year. Spent a lot of time in Kapunda at the Copper Mine and in town. Gathered up 2 AdLabs and several caches along the way. Looking forward to the next four days based in Clare.
A quick stop here and it was pleasing to note that this little cottage is being renovated at the moment. It is sad to see so many in ruins around the countryside.
Thanks andy.gail

In Clare for another JLWE event, the 20th Anniversary. I arrived on Friday and left on Monday. It was a nice relaxing weekend.
I stopped along the roadside to collect this cache. There were a lot of geocachers going past on their way home.
I do like looking at ruins although it looks like there are some renovations that have fixed it up a bit.
A quick find.

Nice easy find on a warm windy day enjoying some sunshine. Would love to sit on that deck enjoying the view. Great little assortment of things in the cache! Thx
Wouldn’t it be nice to sit on the verandah, with a cuppa, and watch the sun come up
Spring has sprung and I'm having a long weekend away chilling, caching, camping.
Left either a buzzy or a lovely with the discovered cache.

It was time to get on the move again with ilook4geo, so we just did a random selection of caches along the route we wanted to take. The program didn't quite happen as when we arrived at some of them it was raining too hard to get out of the car - so we just kept on going. Thanks go to andy.gail for adding to the caches we found today and to TheKellyGang for maintaining this one.
It was very variable weather today, but mostly wet. On the road with goingplaces2 but found some caches in a few periods between the rainy times. Thanks to each CO for the caches we found. It was a day when we climbed to the peak of August's mountain to gain two souvenirs.
Stopped by on our way up to the Clare valley. Restoration is occurring! It has windows and a door and the start of a nice wood deck out the front.
We stopped here on our way to the wineries. It doesn’t look much like a ruin anymore!
Rex and I left home on Friday[^], planning a quick trip to and from Saddleworth to try to get a FTF and some other caches[^]
I did not expect to end up having a lovely tea at Clare in the 'middle pub' with Mr and Mrs Kelly Gang and Mr and Mrs Froghoppin [^]
I did not expect to end up sleeping in the Corolla at Jamestown on Friday night in pouring rain
I did not expect to end up having a lovely breakfast at Jamestown in the [ek-wi-tee] Cafe on Saturday morning with chrispy89 either[^]
I did not expect to end up seeing chrispy89 again on Saturday as his ambulance was picking up a RFDS patient when I stopped at the airport for a cache[^]
Finally I did not expect to end up returning home Saturday night[|)][xx(][|)][xx(] after finding 2 FTFs, having 1 DNF which later was remedied with CO approval[:X] and having found a total of 27 caches over the 2 days
Wouldn't many of us love to touch those walls and feel the history and stories emanating from them![^]

CPwanderer & I arrived in the Clare region on a very rainy & cold day.
The light traffic made things easier to get around,
so it wasn't too difficult to pull-over and grab this cache.

Today we had to head back to Adelaide and home...the campsite had offered us a free night, pay for 2 stay for 3, if only we could have. So it was a better day for caching despite the weather being just as horrid as yesterday. We got a decent haul and had a good walk. Nice mixture of caches were found and no dnfs which is always a bonus. Unfortunately we had to make do with a grotty pie for lunch but you win some and you lose some. We also called in at Taylor's winery and enjoyed a chocolate and wine tasting (which was epic and lots of fun). Super weekend, shame its back to work tomorrow. As we left the campsite we noticed pprass was also camped there easily spied by his geocaching wheel cover. It was nice to chat to some fellow cachers in the field, what lovely people.
Stopped here on the way home to break up the journey. Indeed if these walls could talk, would imagine it would be very interesting! TFTC Andy.gail
