Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. After being in the south of SA for a few weeks, we made a quick trip up to Windsor Gardens yesterday arvo to grab a few caches before heading to Port Wakefield today. This was one of the caches we targeted. Thanks for the hide.

Out for a long stroll and trying to find a couple of geocaches. No problems, finding the required information and making the calculations. Of course, the final container was in exactly the opposite direction from where I was planning to go next. But I decided the extra 400 meters probably wasnt going to kill me.No problems making the fin.

I have a confession. I solved this years ago but DNF-ed but didnt record it because I felt like I didnt put in a huge effort at GZ. Then I solved it again a couple of weeks ago and the were a couple of people hanging around GZ, waiting so I rode away and came back later but it was another DNF. Today, on Christmas Day I hopped on my e-bike and headed out to find a couple of caches over Magill way. It started steadily drizzle so I thought I would head home but this GZ was on the way. I found the prize reasonably simply this time and had to wonder why I hadnt found it on a previous look. TFTC Freddo Big Grin25/12/2023 3:56pmFind # 2833

A Monday caching with Mr Froghoppin for a change of pace! nice warm day kept the muggles at bay Big GrinA real estate killing - pennies from heaven indeed! Until I started doing geocaching I never realised just how many churches Adelaide has hidden in back street.

I’m quite sure that I’ve been to this WP1 before, but I don’t recall the final GZ, so I’m not sure what happened there. Maybe I had trouble reading the required numbers on the Used2B - I certainly did today, and even after the enlarge-the-phone-photo trick, I still wasn’t sure, but the subsequent arithmetic helped me out. Managed to get the deed done at GZ just as someone was arriving to use the structure.

I seem to remember that there was still work going on at the Used2B the first time I was there, but it’s looking finally complete now. I wonder how cool it is inside.

Thanks Freddo TNB.

I hope that they don't put up a large front fence at the former church. Once I got to GZ a particular vehicle stopped which I wasn't interested in. Thanks Freddo.

So many churches close by around Adelaide.
Thanks for bring me here and cache.

The church was under construction and should be good when finished. Spotted the numbers from the footpath, did the calcs and went to GZ. This one was neatly tucked away and shouldnt get muggled. TFTC

We came to the neighbourhood to complete a Wherigo but alas, while we could spot the container, its terrain diffculty beat us Sad Thus, we consoled ourselves with this quick multi, completed and found in a short time. Sunday seems to be the right day for these as muggle frequency is definitely down from the usual Smile TNLNSL TFTC

Another cache in this great series helping me work toward the multi a day challenge.

The building is undergoing refurbishment so from behind the temporary fencing I needed to take a photo of the stone so I could zoom in to read it. My eyes aren’t as good as they once were.

At GZ the cache was found without problems. The Cache and contents are both in good condition.

Thanks for the cache Freddo the Non Believer.

With the youngest two of the Famous IV niggling each other, I decided to head out after lunch to grab a few caches...caching=peace. All up a baker's dozen of caches were found, including my 2000th. The usual collection of mint tins, sistemas and creative hides were sought and located. Some were trads, others were multis, one was a mystery and the final find a Whereigo. A drink at the Glynde Hotel finished the day off before heading home (and some banana cake). TFTC to all COs for putting out and maintaining the caches.

09-Jul-20
Today I was in Erindale for business, and I tried some caches nearby, on my way back home.
This was the second one tried.
Parked on the street in front of the church, and noted the information required.
Got the final cords, and drove to there.
Waited for a while, until muggles cleared.
Found the cache in the second place I checked.
Quickly signed the log book, and placed it back.
Soon after I left, more muggles occupied the final location.
Thanks for the multi cache, Freddo the Non Believer. I love the "Used 2B a Church Micro" cache series.

PS: next to the church is a contraction site, and some heavy vehicles parked around the church.

Found as part of a long term goal to fill the calendar with at least one multi cache find on every day. Also needing a mystery cache for the same reason a plan was hatched and I was off for a bike ride.

Error 1: park the bike under a bee hive.
Error 2: a math error
Error 3: thinking it was clear to replace the cache only to be sprung in the act. This lead to a lot of fast talking!!!

Thanks for the cache Freddo the Non Believer.

Another Used 2B found on the long way home. Collection of data and production of co-ords proved nice and simple, but at GZ the structure was occupied Sad

The location of this former church was interesting in that it was in a suburban residential street where most have been located on major roads. Data collection was straightforward. Then it was off to GZ where accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Freddo for this cache and others you have placed in the series.

Got to the listed co-ords and grabbed the needed info and sped off to GZ to make the find in about the 4th place I checked lol.

Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi.
Needed to catch up on more of this series of caches. So on the way to work this morning, detoured by this location, gathered the information, did some sums and got some coordinates. Wandered to GZ, and as I reached it, a muggle approached and it was apparent that this was not going to be a short wait. So went for a walk, watching GZ, and soon conditions changed and the muggle disappeared down the road. Wandered back to GZ and located the cache in the first place I looked. Signed the log and replaced.

Well, that was embarrassing! Owl got the coordinates a week ago, but a little old suspicious muggle was sitting at GZ. So Owl brought a Rat back today to a deserted GZ. But no cache. Back to the beginning to check calculations (without pen, paper or other implements) and a new GZ was calculated. But no cache. A call to the CO confirmed the original location was the correct one, but the duo insisted they'd searched it thoroughly. Another PaF got them closer and finally a ptang revealed the cache. Then the recriminations started. "I thought you'd searched there!" "I thought you had!" Just as well it was the last cache of the day and time to go home or the church might not have been the only thing that used 2B!

09-Jan-19
A plan was hatched for the Owl to pick up Mrs Rat.
For a girls day of caching.
Owl took the rat to a GZ we searched everywhere, We thought.
No Ptang., Back to the start, without any implements to do our calculations.
With a new GZ we set off to search, no Ptang!!!
Paf to the Frog revealed we were at the right GZ the fist time.
So back we go search in the area suggested by the Frog.
Ptang!! I thought you searched there. No, I thought you did.
A Fav point for the fun.Tftc

I unexpectedly found myself free on New Year's Eve. Surprised Three events were being held during the day so I planned to attend all three. No surprise there. [^] So had to find a few caches in between the events. Cool No surprise there either. Wink
After a big day caching with Hurtle and locus cache we parted company and I then teamed up with Anymules for a evening and night cache run. Razz

The use of a four digit naming code means this may prove to be a very large series. Surprised Best get on top of it now. [8)] So off we went to grab a few. This was the second of four in quick succession. Apparently Freddo has binoculars for eyes and can read this from the footpath. Bugger that, a quick dash to get up close and personal. [:o)] Then quick calculation before a short dash and channeling BFE the cache was found. Smile

After the CO's event on the beach I thought I would make a "small" detour on the way home to get a couple of new multi caches. Surprised
I arrived at what "used to be a church" and there was a lot of construction noise coming from inside the building, but that didn't worry me, I got the required info, worked out some coordinates and headed off to GZ. [^]
A quick find of a repurposed log book to which I added my stamp at a deserted GZ. Cool

*FTF* joint with jesswrigley at 5:01 p.m.

This series is great for seeing some of the old history, and this church must have only in recent times been converted? We’d love to see how those spaces are being used as residential places!

Quickly had the coordinates and went for a short drive to GZ. Thought we had the place to ourselves only to witness another geocaching team near us starting to search some other surrounds. However I got lucky with finding the cache in one of the first places we looked! Yay, doesn’t get any closer than that! Still didn’t know what the hint meant though?

We were shocked to discover so many signatures and stamps at the front of the logbook, and thought we had missed out on FTF. However some of them were from August 2018?! Perhaps beta testers, or a recycled old logbook? Thanks Freddo!
