# 9250 It's my last full day in Adelaide. I felt the need to get out of town again, so I headed south to Victor Harbor, stopping on the way at Wilunga. One of the best things about today was that there was a cool breeze blowing. Spent some time on Granite Island but didn't see any penguins. Victor Harbor is a lovely place and seems geared up for big crowds of tourists. Luckily that was not today Thanks mogni for the Traditional Cache

I started this series a few years ago and found a few along the way, today I returned to finish off the rest that were yet to be found, some of the older ones as noted could do with a fix up This weekend Courtneyrose_ and I headed down to Victor Harbour for the Victor Harbour 10k fun run, whilst here we did parkrun plus find a few caches around the area yet to be found. Thanks for the cache

For some reason this took us a while to see, just looking from the wrong angle we suppose, and another cleverly themed container.
We like Cats but thats about as far as our interest in Geelong goes haha. We had a cat named Ivan before we moved off the land and he was such a wild boy but a very good mouser, dear little Ivan wasnt so good when he was silly enough to go head to head with a snake though.
Thanks mogni for another in the series.

Refuelled at the OTR. $14 for 2 x dog and shake is amazing value and a good fill up for 1. Feeling spritely now Fatpuds found this easily but her slightly larger than normal fingers did not allow for an easy retrieval. Let’s just say a healthier lunch choice may have assisted.

This cache was found and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or sometimes with just plain old dumb luck! Stay safe when caching. Watch for snakes, random cliffs, wild goats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins... but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]

Make sure Travel Bugs are the only ones you share and pass on Big Grin

2020 turned into 2020won, and 2020too is on the way! 2020free should see us through Razz

Still important to observe social distancing when possible, (150 nano caches apart should do it)
Still important to wash your hands (always has been really [:o)]
Still very important to look after each other and take precautions & get checked out for even the tiniest sniffle or cough, or unexpected headache! [8)] [B)]

Still even more important to get some fresh air and exercise while we can, so get out and cache the country!

Thanks so much to all those placing caches out and about away from the city crowds,
keeps our game safe and interesting Cool

7years of full time travelling and we have only been to Victor Harbor once when we were staying in Kuitpo Forest in 2014. Time for a longer stay this year. Yesterday we were riding about on the train.

Just a day at the van today so we ducked out to find a few caches before lunch today.

The team headed off to Adelaide for a wedding for a couple of weeks in the caravan, exploring Victorian and South Australian country side, with many campsites to stay at, and many more caches to find along the way. Thanks so much to the CO's maintaining these for us to explore.

In Port Elliott today, great day for caching out to get a few before the heat hits later this week. TFTC

23-Sep-20
During the day we had booked a late lunch reservation at the Victory Hotel. During the week a few cellar doors had recommended we go there and they are always free with their recommendations when you are buying wine. When you are there for just a tasting they recommend the beautifully cooked Angus beef seasoned to perfection that can be found at McDonalds.

Still we had set ourselves a time limit to find as many of these caches on the trail as we could. A cheeseburger would be good right now, but McCafe needs a decent bomb threat. tftc

I was finally child free for a couple of hours so I thought I would tackle the AFL Premiers caches. The weather was a bit iffy today with the odd shower and wind gush. There wasnt as many cars about today being so cold and wet so it worked out well for me. You have done very well on the colours for each of them. I noticed with pretty much all of them the logbook was out of the plastic bag provided.

Nice easy find will bring my tweezers on another day to sign the log

Today my target was to hit my next big milestone. I also wanted to get 10 Freddo caches, I am attempting to get to 350 Freddo finds by the end of the year. I think I got 8 in the end, 10 was a bit too ambitious given all the other things that needed to be done today. My list tells me I still have 360 odd to find so a long way off ever being anything near Freddovarna.
I did however make it to 9000 caches and had a nice day out. Saw lots of wildlife including a ginormous bull. The weather was a bit weird but definitely much better than yesterday.
Managed to make my on time arrival at Marion shopping centre at 3.30pm if only I had all the day light hours for caching....
So once the Freddo business was out of the way (this took up most of my caching allowance) I headed to Mogni territory, I think I hit 100 Mogni finds today.
It was good to pick up the rest of the AFL Premiers series today. Several were missing last time I did them, some I couldn't find, some had been archived. Today all were found relatively quickly in excellent condition. Liked the tape jobs! TFTC mogni and this is cache #9000 shame it had to be a team I detest! Had hoped it would be my beloved Collingwood.

Today we headed to Victor Harbor to cache. It took some time to locate this cache. When it was not found at the published coordinates, we gradually widened the search area and finally located the cache 9m north of where we had started. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks mogni for this cache and the AFL Premiers series.

Yes I did, with Anymules and sometimes Muff1 and later mogni. Luckily no car problems and quite a few caches found. Cool

First order of business was to go back and get all the replaced or new additions to the AFL premiers series. Tricked me, was not expecting that. Smile

Neither hubby or myself follow AFL so unfortunately none of the colours have any meaning for us. But we did get to see some great views from some of the caches. Some were a little hard to find and some really easy. Some you needed to work out how to access the cache container others were 'just there'. SL TFTC

As it was forecast to be very hot at home I decided to go for a drive down to Victor Harbor to find mogni's new caches and a few others that I happened to drive past. [^]

Kept bumping into CPwanderer, clare007 and Gizmos Gang and met up with them and Mogni for lunch before continuing on. Cool

Had a good day and found all the caches I looked for and really enjoyed the air conditioned car between caches. Big Grin

It was a case of deja vu having completed all of this series not long after it was first published. Big Grin It is good to see the series revived again. [^]

Thanks for the cache mogni. Smile
