Based in Loxton, today we wandered up to Berri and the surrounding area geocaching in freezing conditions along our route. Thanks for your cache Ayden1238.

Out on a drizzly and chilly day with iluvtrekking. Quick find. Thanks for the hide.
Today we decided that we would play in the Murray River National Park. What a surprise this turned out to be. We had a great look around the park while we cached. It was a joy to sit by the river and enjoy our morning tea and later our lunch. The day was cooler and the flies were not as bad as other areas we have been in over the last few days. We heard loads of birds and saw plenty as well. There certainly is a huge number of kangaroos in the park spending their time sitting in the shade of the trees. The roads in the first part of the park were in excellent condition but detoriated towards what we are calling the bottom end. Strangely there was not a camper to be seen.

Adelaide and South Australia Trip Christmas 2021/2022. Day 16. The next phase of my journey is underway. I am in Loxton. I was with Fitzy_1965, MinnieK, Sol de Lune and Smitten Granny to attempt to finish the On You Bike where-i-go caches. We have managed to solve them all before we arrived. Day 6 in the River land. As we had accomplished the On your Bike caches, the others headed back east to stop at Mildura for the paddle steamer caches, but I am based in Adelaide at the moment, so could not go. I spent the day out and about collecting caches in the region before heading to Lake Bonny and then Berri, finishing the day in Katarapko National park.
This trip to Loxton had been a year coming as I had missed out last year due to other commitments. The group had increased and the target list of caches was much higher. It had been a group effort to deal with all the jigsaw puzzles and then the Reverse Where-i-gos were sorted out with the various online tools. The trip was looking at risk as the COVID situation stretched and stretched, but at least SA kept to its plans to open the borders and we all jumped through the hoops required to get across the border. The weather was looking extreme as the journey approached and it did not disappoint. The daytime temps were from 36-42 over the days of this exercise and it made for some hard work and lots of water usage.
Thanks for the cache Ayden1238

Sir_spectre and I had a quick getaway to the Riverland. We were targetting the less found caches. We found an assortment of caches, and as regular for us manged to replace containers for several and put some fresh logbooks in others. It was a rather hot weather for a weekend of caching but the air conditioned car gave us some relief.

found after tramping the local flora.
Out with the Mogni for a short trip out to the riverland, only 3 days. It was hot first 2 days where 40 degrees and the last day was 33 degrees. Since the rules just changed about covid 19 testing before and after entering vic to no testing, we changed our plans on the way up and decided to go via Murray Sunset National Park. The idea was to find as many caches as we could that haven't been found recently most hadn't been found in 3 months. On day 1 we replaced 10 out of the first 12 caches, all broken container and 1 log book replaced, and by the end of the day had a heaped medium bin liner bag full of broken containers, the hot mallee sun doesn't do the plastic containers any good. Day 2 saw us caching around Loch Luna and lake Bonney which is way easier driving around here in the dry then in the rain like my last visit here. Onlt 1/2 a medium bin liners back of replaced containers today, people must fix the closer to the highway caches more often. On day 3 it was back in to the mallee country and home via Pinnaroo. Getting those " out of the way caches ". Plenty of dirt roads where driven down and many, many back sandy tracks taken. It was good to explore all the country areas and stay off the highway.

Travelling around the area surveying the damage of two storms in 10 days, Mr Frog inspecting total devastation of some crops which is heartbreaking - a year's work, for the farmer, gone!!
On a positive note, we found some smileys which is always great

Having a few days in the riverland based at Berri.
Not sure I found the right cache as I found a cache containing a blank logbook and a TB that hasn't been logged in over 2 years.

Found today on our Cooltong, Gurra and Katarapko Caching Day in company of Bazzars and Cold Freeze. A quick last 4 caches in Winkie on a drive around the block. Thanks from D B-A.
Camping in Berri for the Australia Day longweekend, we headed out today to Explore Lovedays 4X4 Park and do a couple of caches with Jalinrenos. Found about 10m away from GZ, at first thought it was rubbish and did a a bit of CITO, then discovered, sadly, that we were holding the cache. TFTC
Travelling around Australia, staying in Lyrup today we popped out to find a few caches of course.

Out for the day caching with LLL51, ROMA123 and Gemini7 picking up a few new caches that have popped up since our previous visit last year as well as a few that we had missed. [^]
This one took us a while to find, but once we expanded our search area and another set of eyes the cache was eventually found. Once we saw the cache we couldn't unsee it.
Thanks for the cache Ayden1238.

It was on the ground. Perhaps fallen out of the bush so I replaced it in the bush. Thanks for the cache.
Fortunate to be able to stay overnight in the Riverland after attending the event at Barmera.
This meant more caching for the journey home and 45 before the days end.
Quick find with hevwalker.

Cache was found within 5m of the listed coordinates in the obvious place. For once you can ignore Hurtle.
Sadly our one dnf for the day
Used two different co ords in cache notes and logs
Perhaps previous finder placed it in different area to where we searched
Only green tin I spotted was a tuna tin

This cache had blown away in the wind I believe. Found it away from coords lucky for the colour or I would not have found it
Put back in the area I believe it was.

Quick find while heading to the Bella Lavender farm for lunch with Miss Greeno. TFTC!
This is not a 'logical' micro hide, more like a 'throwdown' hide. So, look carefully but not like most micro's.

We didn't have a huge amount of time, so it was great to make a quick find here. Couldn't spot it initially so widened our search a little. Cache #2860.
