We had to get really down in the weeds for this one. It was part way down the bank, had maybe come off when the area was strimmed? But we signed the log and returned it back to where it came from. magnet is pretty rusty but its def there ready for the next finder.TFTC
Another G2 cache gets the better of me. Will continue my ride and come back another day
Looked in the wrong place initially. Once located correct GZ cache soon in hand. Tftc
We couldn't think of a blues song and ended up humming "I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues" instead while feeling like we were taking part in an episode of Blue's Clues. We thought this one might be hard to spot and be somewhere between the Devil and The Deep Blue Sea but it turned out that we were far from having the blues as we quickly located the cache despite its very clever placement and camouflage. If we were wearing Blue Suede shoes or even Blue Jeans we would definitely have danced but we weren't and it wasn't Blue Monday so we just howled at the Blue Moon instead and saw that the Blue Skies were smiling at us.Thanks for the Out of the Blue cache.
Out for a lovely day caching with Lycurgon, Anastriel and Small Pooka for Easter Monday! TFTC Signed as LARPS
Out today, with Team LARPS, for some Easter caching. We spotted a likely place right away, but didn't immediately find the cache. Anastriel took the time to really have a good search and soon had the cache in hand. A fun little cache. Thanks for the cache #1688
Saw the hint, knew where it was but first look turned up nothing. Handed dog lead to Lycurgon and sat down for a good look and found it quickerTFTC
#106th find was pretty satisfying when I was it, Last cache of my walk on Harbour dr
**19,503**The invisible force on this one may be in need of some attention in the near future but again another work of creative genius and worth another favourite point. So that is just on this section for now. We need to find somewhere to park up for the night soon. Eyes are getting tired and brain is over taxed from all these superbly crafted cache hides. TFTC
Out on an adventure with Gidgetster, trying to keep our kids busy. Yet another fantastic camo/cache!! TFTC
Another cool camo from G2. Our caching with The Foxes and We definitely didn't feel blue after locating the cache. TFTC
Out for a bike ride with Keylev, cragger, laval and family. Lovely new walkway along here - its got quite a pretty view! Quick find and we were on our way! Updating my new geo account with unlogged finds and finally logging 14 04 2024 as NurseDr.

NurseDr is good at singing and she was singing about something blue but not quite a blues song....either way she found the cache!! Camo deserves a fav point!
Thanks for the cache.

As we approached the GZ we had a good idea where this cache might be hidden. Spotted something that the hint referred to and found the cache. Another great cameo.
M24: starting off this trail after finding a number of caches up from Hobsonville.
No feeling blue on this cache, as it was nice and easy to find. TFTC.

This took a little looking and feeling. Another fav point for the hide, when I finally found it! Thanks for placing your cache.
I'm in Auckland and I am exploring the region while I am based here. Today was a dry day, overcast but dry. I borrowed by bro's bike and cruised around the place. I had a great time.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Found it.
Had to go back for a second look.
Great camo.
It's exactly what you would expect to see if your going to do work there.
Thanks G-2.

As we were now out and about we decided we may as well find the remaining unfound caches in the CO's Magnetic Road series. Used the hint here which was silly - should have taken more notice of the caches name. Another interesting cache container. Kiwi's fingers too large to remove the log. No issues for Scotty. TFTC
I originally put my hand on a paper wasp nest... Luckily it was an old one. The nest was no where near the cache though, I obviously didn't read the hint... Great camo, it fits perfectly with its surroundings TFTC .

Went for a walk one afternoon looking for the ones along that road. Not too hard. TFTC
Had to park on the grass further down the road and then walked up here. Struggled at first to find until we read the previous log which said it had been found discarded and hidden under the pipe.
GeohoundandI opened the cache and ended up pushing the log further in. I shook it and the log almost ended up in the road.
We put it back under the pipe where we found it.

After searching for ages with no luck, I ended up sadly finding this guy thrown in the bushes. I have no idea where this should be but have placed it under the pipe for the next person. Co might want to change this. TFTC
After parking on Shelter Drive, AliGle and I then walked back and forward along Upper Harbour Dr to locate the caches along here. A quick find here of another well hidden cache. TFTC!
The fun continues. Another clever hide but tweezers required for this one. Luckily we have some with us
I needed to get out for a walk and thought a few caches along Upper Harbour Drive could be the way to go. I parked the car off the actual road in some Shelter and went on foot for three fairly easy finds.
After some people at the last cache I moved to this one where once again I searched the wrong spot before easily finding the clever cache at the correct spot.

Nice find with woolwood9 today.
*Thanks for giving us a reason to visit this area!*
Signed log: **tm/ww NZ** (may be a black smudge on plastic logs)
It was well into the evening so parking wasn't too bad for this series.
Thanks G-2

Given my attraction to G2 caches... Ive found a heap of them. I thought it was only right that I have a go at this magnetic power trail. Armed with a Hi Viz jacket, hazzard lights, and the willingness to do some dodgy parking, I turned this little trail into a bunch of drivebys. What a great series. Well thought out hides and some very cool containers. Thanks for the series, I really enjoyed it.
Magnetic Road geocaching El Dorado bike trip to grab all placements here. Great road to test my recently fixed hydraulic brakes. As lack of parking spots around GZs using bicycle is the way to go! .... First find ... Nice and well blended container! TFTC FP nr 1 for today.
Onto the magnetic Road now and able to tuck the wee car in off the main drag in most places. Great hide here, FP yet again. T F T C G-2
Last evening in the area and keen to grab a few out Greenhithe way. I headed over the bridge and did a series of park n stroll n grabs, then headed for a couple of more challenging ones across the other side of the motorway to no avail. Finished off a sample few up the Magnetic road, and they were awesome.
I'm up in Auckland for the week, with a couple of options for transport and with a healthy choice of 4 evenings plus one late-afternoon at my disposal for caching. Would be remiss of me not to take advantage of what some (km) would call a 'target rich environment'. And so my week was spent well, a count of 75 caches was found, a few DNFs and a plethora of G-2's special cache treats with awesome camo and attachments. Some nice evening weather made things easier, and I averaged a 10km walked each day = nice. Thanks to all COs for their caches, individual logs as/when remembered.

Wandered along here feeling Blue. But came skipping back with a lovely smile thx. interesting hide.
As we approached we saw another slightly blue object. This was soon dismissed as it wasn't magnetic. No blue frowns here - only more yellow smiles for us. Thanks again for the creativity that has gone into these hides. It really makes for an interesting day out
Today we decided to visit a new area in Auckland. Targeted area was Glenfield.
Caches were generally well hid and terrain a bit more up and down than expected.
In fact some of the caches were real beauties, nothing to do with geocacher, in particular whose name slips my mind. (just kidding).
met up with fellow caches from Huntly.
Logs logged as Team HRP (home towns for us Huntly, Rotorua, Papamoa
Great day. SLTFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap), ABCDF4, and eyespyben... Signed logs as Team H (Huntly) R (Rotorua) P (Papamoa). We are on the Shore as Gap has a small event to attend later in the morning... There is good news and bad news... The good news is that there are lots of 'Battle of the Bridge' caches to find on this side of the Harbour. The bad news is most of them are G2 caches - These hides are always a bit more challenging and take time to find...
Could these roads be any more busier? Between walkers, cyclists, and motorists - we had our work cut out for us. We hooked into a G2 trail that required some thought and lateral thinking to make a breakthrough. These caches were not your average park and grabs. We really liked the individual thought and ingenuity that went into each placement along this trail. So as not to give too much away - let's just say that these hides were damn good! Thanks G2 and TFTC.

Out for a wander on this beautiful first day of Spring, with Pazza2 and her GeoTerrors!
I'm a bit of a blues fan myself...and also definitely a fan of G-2 caches. So cool!

I guess it's a good thing that these quality caches aren't just reduced to park and grabs. We were quite happy to walk this much quieter road than it was in 'the olden days'. We collected this on our walk back because muggles always seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time today. f/p
I just love blues, BB King was the best! Going out on this lovely day for the last caches to solve the museum mystery, 3/14. This camo cache was in good shape itself but full of water so signed the wet log.tftc!
With such bad weather this morning, our day's plan had to change. It cleared a bit so decided to venture out and see how many we could find towards finishing the museum event. Had an extra pair of eyes with me today. After a lengthy search, there it was. Very interesting cache container. SL. TFTC.
I needed a dozen more caches to open the vault for the Mystery at the Museum. After the rain this morning I decided to spend the day working on assignments. However, there was a break in the rain and the sun came out so I decided to risk it and pick up a few caches nearby before it started again.
Last one for the day and this took a little longer to spot even though it was staring me right in the face. Finally clicked and grabbed it. Had trouble extracting the log with my pocket knife and the magnet but eventually got it.

As it was a long weekend and today being better weather than yesterday, work having been done around the house it was a chance to get out and find the odd cache in the company of 11HPG11.
Today we managed to find a grand total of 58 caches with only 9 DNF's along the way, and even managed to be home by 4,30pm so as not to annoy Mrs Dragon too much (although privately I believe that she may rather enjoy a day at home without an annoying husband being about the house).
Setting out from Hamilton nice and early meant that we managed to locate quite a few caches without any traffic to contend with, in fact Auckland is rather pleasant early in the day without both people and vehicles to contend with.
Working our way towards the end of the day it was just time to collect a last 10 or so'ish so as this road has reduced in traffic so much from when I recall it before the "Upper Harbour Highway" was put in we thought to collect what we could along here. 11HPG11 managed the find here while i was still working out what the CO was getting at.
Thank you to all the CO's for their hard work in making this day possible, in both the placing the caches and maintaining them. We both had a great day.he opportunity.

When Cats&Dragons suggested a day in Auckland collecting a few caches I was very keen. When I checked the weather forecast I wasn't quite as keen. Determined to stay dry I packed all my wet weather gears and my gumboots. Was happily surprised to not need any of this and we were treated to a stunning day of great weather and great caches. Logs were signed with either HOAC or a combination of our names.
Really enjoyed this hide. Super camo work here it fits in very well.

For my personal challenge of working towards getting my calendar on GC.COM to be at least the same shade of green or darker I need to sign off at least 8 caches today. I won't grumble if I find one or two more I decided that there were just over the required number along the old Upper Harbour Drive.
Doing this and most of the others were done on the most appropriate day, Star Wars Day (May the 4th be with you), as most of of them employed the invisible force. They were all of differing ingenious design. Worth a fave.
Cheers for the cache.

I have not been out caching in a couple of weeks due to a sore foot and a heavy workload recently. So, it was great to take advantage of this public holiday and great weather to find some hides this afternoon. I parked up and made the short walk to GZ. The hint got me in the right area and my attention to detail did the rest. After a brief search I soon spied the nicely crafted hide. It really does blend in well here; favourite point applied! Cheers for the cache placement!
Had a day planned to cache with TWS but had a few to find before we met up. Couldn't find what I was looking for initially so stepped away and thought about it and then managed to locate it. Love the camo on this one and a fav point from us. Thanks
A plan had been hatched for a group of us to do a cache in Hobsonville so headed out a little earlier to collect some newish caches. I dopped Mrs Jag off and went to find some parking which is very tricky along this road. Once that was done I joined her in the search. I was sidetracked by something blue in the bush but that turned out to be just something else blue. We then spotted a little bit of blue and a quick search there revealed the nicely camo'd cache. I have no idea what that would have been in a previous life!
We were heading out on a mission to join up with some fellow cachers, and had some time to fill in before our meetup time. After parking a little further up the road, we wandered back towards GZ. We spotted something blue in the bushes, but this turned out to be a red herring. Then we spotted something else that was a little blue, and soon after had the cleverly camo'd cache in hand.
Caching around here whilst waiting for my brother to do his hair or something and stopped in to give this one a go. Had a pretty good idea where to start looking at GZ, and the nicely crafted cache was soon found. Very well put together and worth a favourite. TFTC
Out caching on the Shore with Mum (SethRaven) . . . . . we looked and looked and then I said read the hint again and then boom . . . Mum found it . . . .great hide! Thank you
O M G . . . . We thought we were going nuts . . . . Looked in the places I first thought . . . Then re read the hint . . . . WOW . . . . . . Nice hide
One of us made another trip along Magnetic Road tonight to make another cache find. Parked near 'our' end of the road and walked along to GZ. Once there I began a search that was interrupted several times as vehicles went by. I noticed several spots that could be the hint item - but were not. Eventually I looked more carefully at something that I had only glanced at previously, and there was the cleverly camoed cache. Pleased to have made the find, thanks.
After a long hike over to GZ, I started my search in the normal way, then noticed something that fit the hint. After one false start, I was able to grab the cache. TFTC.
No problems with parking as I was out on my bike just before it starts to get dark this evening. Leaning my bike nearby I followed the trampled looking area and didn't have the blues for very long as I was soon smiling with the cache in hand, TFTC
Working my way back towards home sort of. This cache got in my way so had to stop and have it removed from my map!As you do.... I pulled up here and thought I spotted the hint straight away, but ignored it, taking the more obvious approach to where this cache is probably hidden. But after searching the obvious you have to expand to the less obvious! So my eyes turned to my initial thought and after looking harder I found ol' bluey! Could be a blues song, but I couldn't find one that was appropriate, but for Blue Skies by... sung by many people. Nice one G.
Has just scored the FTF on a new G-2 cache and decided to drive back here to find this one. After looking in all the usual spots....unsuccessfully, I read the clue and soon had the cache in hand. Love your work. TFTC. Then my phone went off notifying me of another new cache up the road. Off to chase another FTF then.
What a surprise ...... An { FTF } opportunity only 15 minutes away....and I was free to go !
Had finished my Blue Tops Tuesday walk ....and was in Henderson looking at Packs for my upcoming Hike at Stewart Island .
Had to go to Westgate Kiwibank next anyway ....So off I came to this cache ...kind of on the way !
Was a bit worried when I saw the word Magnetic ....as the three Magnetic ones I had previously found out this way had taken a bit of fiddling with !
Anyway I had 2 hours before work !
When I got there all was straightforward and done and dusted in minutes ! Pleased to see a blank log !
FMZ must be out of the country ....and Kiwiscot working !
Thanks for the adventure G_2sTimeout !
