TFTC,Working on building my LGA's cached in.Nana saw something and everything fell into place. Replaced where we believe it belongs, added a favourite and visited trackables.
I spotted something unusual, eventually saw some rubbish on the ground. Realised what it was, added a log sheet and replaced to where it would it would have come from. Thanks to CO
No luck today even though I knew what I was looking for. I did have some yummy scrambled eggs at the cafe which was nice.
It was good, hard find had to get the whole crew. You might struggle, if you need a hint, it looks like trash
#159 19/05/2024 @1:50pmLog is very water damaged and cache was found just lying on the ground. Cache replaced roughly where I thought it should be
There were just enough hints in previous logs to narrow down the search area.A sneaky hide indeed. Thanks for the caches.
Stood right next to it whilst reading the logs. This will be interesting once the caf on th corner opens. We didn't need a tool. Ine more cache and then off to Ballarat. TFTC *Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Second find on the trip to Ballarat with isopeda. Quick stop for a county or 2. Nice hide and worth a fav.Tftc
10:54, 20 December, 2023. #2334.Had a bit of time to kill around Sunshine today, so did a little bit of a run around to pick up a few caches. This was our last find of the day after starting at sharkiefans 50 Souvenir Challenge and doing driving loop that would take us back to our start point. We found a good parking spot near the River Views cache, which we had an unsuccessful hunt fo before heading up to this one. The rea was muggle free, so no hassles hunting and no real delays with signing and replacing once we found the cache. Once we had found the cache, retrieving it required a tool and the cache was a bit reluctant to leave its hiding place, so we were a little concerned that we might damage it in the process, but it came out unscathed. We might not have found this one had we not come across one exactly the same at Altona some years ago. The cache is in good condition. TNLNSL. TFTC shack1961.
I was looking at the wrong height first, then something caught my eye. I didn't need any tools to retrieve it, but the logbook wasn't in great condition after yesterday's heavy rain
That was tricky, but after a bit of searching AlePotaBG found it. Word of advice, it's not your usual cache, very thin.
Unfortunately did not find this one, to be fair we were looking in the dark, will definitely be back tho!
I have checked on this hide, and it is safe and sound where it should be. Just a little hint, search back a bit from the construction fence. The construction works do not have any bearing on this hide.
Spent a recovery day after a busy 4 days at the Australian Grand Prix, caching with NurseyJulie.
No particular plan but we just followed the GPS grabbing caches and labs along the way.
Thanks to all the cache owners for maintaining the caches.
Even achieved 16000 steps today.
TFTC.

I made it much harder than was needed at GZ.
I was sure my search would be looking for a diferent style of hide.
So round I went.
After a good 15m I was on the verge of giving up.
Then a change of plan and I spotted the sneaky hide.

Found by Mary and David at at 15:10. After finding a new cache at the former Paisley station, it was time for some River Views. We don't know this area at all. Took us a couple of minutes to pin this one down. Evil and clever. Definitely worth a FP. Our thanks to shack1961.
Found after searching some not so obvious, then an area that has reminded me of someone's previous hide. Quite sneaky and devious. Haha.
Such a magnificent winter's day to be collecting some of the river view caches so close to home.
This cache is in need a of a new log. I pencilled in a TAD on line 37. But there is no further room for anyone else.

Pleased to find this one relatively straight forward.. maybe it will help me with Bunnyville Pier next time I'm there?!
Found the cache, found the tool to extract it, and found some gaps in the full log to sign it.
Definitely been here before and wandered around in circles. Today all good. Log is full. TFTC
Finally managed to find an afternoon to explore shack1961 territory! After a delay in the loop due to a police operation at Southern Cross station, I got off the train at Albion station and rode clockwise along the beautiful Maribyrnong river, aiming to end up at Footscray station.
This was the third cache for today after solving the field puzzle for the multi and continuing up the hill to the road.
AAAAAAaaaasrrrgh….hhhhhh
You did my head in there shack
I think I hunted high and low and all around - desperately hoping it wasn’t a bison in a tree (spoiler - it wasn’t). After 20 min I read many logs and tried to think differently.
Then I went back to a small thing I‘d discounted earlier on, and thought maybe I should get out my tweezers. They were better for pushing than pulling, and whadya know there was the cache!! Right where the coords said it would be!

Found on second attempt. Satellite view was more useful. Log full and damp, I dried it out a bit and faintly oversigned in pencil across the last few logs.
Nifty hiding spot. TFTC. Had a huntsman jump out at us while we tried to get it, so be careful
TFTC! This one certainly had us looking, but given the cache type it narrowed it down a lot! Happy to have found this one!
No luck with this one today. Will come back when someone else logs a successful find or confirms existence
Found it! Unfortunately couldn't sign as there was no room left on the log. It was a tricky find though! I looked over it twice before realising what it was
The weather today was much better than originally forecast. I had cut my camping trip short so as not to pack up in the rain, only to find blue sky and sunshine.
I didn’t check the details on this properly and despite thinking it could be the hide, I discounted it early. After a search I rechecked the details and a face palm moment occurred. Cache retrieved with a natural TOTT.
Thanks shack1961 for the cache.

Finally got back to find this, which wouldn’t have happened without significant assistance from the CO. Good to cross it off the list! Happy Easter& TFTC!0
Ohh that one was evil. I used a PAF for this as I never would have found it myself! Retrieved without a special TOTT but I can see how it would have been helpful. TFTC!
Out and about with echidna44 for a great day of caching. This was our last for the day after enjoying discovering some very interesting inventions in style and NO DNF. Having done one of these before we quickly had this one in hand. No river view here but plenty of cars going by. Thanks shack1961 for a great day of caching.
Out with xambo4u, we had a great day with no DNFs, even though quite a few were marvellous gadget caches
Having found another cache today that was similar, this was a fairly quick find. Thanks shack1961.

A trip into The Burbs was in order today for SorceySal, myself and Bree the geopuppy.
The plan was to do the Valley Lake series and the River Views series doing most of them on foot to give us all a good stretch of the legs on a beautiful Summer's day in the mid20s.
SS came up with the cache, and then a tott to retrieve this sneaky little bugger
Thanks for the fun here shack1961

Out for a day of caching with Bogonghazy and Bree the geodog in the suburbs for a change with a few walks on the agenda. A great walk along the river today collecting caches along the way
Arrived at GZ and after poking around for a few minutes, I managed to spy something not quite right. With a tott, we managed to retrieve the log and were on our way. Thanks shack1961

Teamed up with muzza to look for a few caches. This one was tricky but he was able to spot it.

Find #11221
After the event, posums, BeckNmonts and Manfred Wolfgang Crocodile went for a bit of a walk along the Maribyrnong River and found a few caches in our travels.
Another relatively quick one.
Thanks to shack1961 for the cache.

I headed to the event in Deer Park, stopping at a new nearby cache, then some more caching with Alansee after the event. This was my first with Alansee, and took a little bit of looking to finally find it. I can see that the difficulty of the find is very much dependant on how the previous finder left it. I think we might have unintentionally left it a bit easier to see.
My thanks to shack1961 for the cache.

Continuing on with this series, we also just had to grab this one! Thanks for placing the cache shack1961.
Caching buddies: Muggle Anshi
Spotted before Anshi...thanks to my experience.
This cache has a lot of bugs.. CO intervention might be needed
Thank you shack1961, for creating, placing and maintaining this cache. I have enjoyed finding it and visiting this spot.

Oh you devious devil! Took us a bit but we found it. Just a note the log is almost full
With the ease on restrictions. I am slowly enabling my hides. Encouraging all continue to practise social distancing and above all, sanitising and good hygiene while caching..so that we can continue.
Cheers all and happy caching!

Very clever and sneaky hide! We were lucky we decided to bring our kit so we could mark this one off!
Checked on this cache due to the DNF’S ...cache is still there and ready to be found. It’s just a tricky little blighter .
Just a hint. Take note of the attributes

I have checked on this cache recently. But given 3 DNF’S , I will go and check it again this afternoon.
It’s a tricky one so it maybe just that...but l will check and log an owner maintenance shortly.

Hmmm. Spent a good amount of time searching today on my quest to get this series but came up empty handed... cache hasn’t been found in a month either...?
Spent around 20 minutes searching for this cache.
I did not see anything out of the ordinary.
The GPS seems pretty spot on.
Will return if anybody else can find it or confirm. ( must be good given the fav points!)

I Spent about 15 minutes looking for anything out of the ordinary, but I don’t really seem to have a lot of luck with these sorts of hides. I’m usually ok to walk away from this sort of cache.
Last one for the day and this took some serious searching, reading previous logs etc. Once more, I was just about ready to abandon when __Cat__ managed to spot the cleverly hidden cache. TFTC!
TFTC shack1961. Great hide! Seen these before and this is a good example. A Fav. Jimmytherat
Nice one and deserves a FP! Found together with Threefoot on holiday, we logged as Team LT just to save space in the loggbook. Greetings from Sweden . TFTC

Find #4410. Found @ 14:48 with Annoying Tarbit
It has been a while since AT and I been out on a caching run together, and with the Parkville caches rumored to be disappearing from the map, AT wanted to collect some of the uncollected ones.
We'd completed the targeted Parkville caches, but still had some time up our collective sleeves, so we came here. We parked nearby to this cache and as soon as I stepped out of the car, I encountered sone very stick and viscous mud. There is a scene in the first Lego movie when Lord Business walks into his lair and with each step he becomes taller and taller as layers of bricks get added to the bottom of his feet... that's what happened here. I took about 3 steps to get past the muddy are and ended up with way too much mud on my shoes.
Anyhoo, I cleaned the mud off to the best of my ability, and then (after returning to the car to empty my pockets of unnecessary baggage for the walk) found the cache. I think it was a combination of being in the right spot and looking the right way at the right time, but could imagine that this could be a right pain to locate.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache shack1961

Had a few left on the Parkville list that I wanted to try and grab whilst they are still active and so I teamed up with SirJ-Oz for a bit of caching around some previously visited spots. Once we had found all we wanted on that series and still had a little time to spare we headed to try out this river views series. We parked the car near to this one and looked around without much luck. Only after I questioned the cache size did SJO change tack and spot this well hidden cache. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache and the series shack1961. I'm adding a photograph of an interesting wriggly creature that I uncovered as I was looking for the cache.
Found by The Empire
Bit of a tricky one but I got there in the end - nice trail, I need to come back here and find some more of these caches as the weather improves. Thanks for the cache shack1961.

Woke up to a sunny day, so with Bettyboo3747 just needing 4 caches to finish off the Mystery at the Museum, we headed off to the River Views Series.
No other cache for us here today.
Not really sure what we were looking for, and it was well past lunchtime and BB was more than a bit peckish. This usually leads to a shortened search
Thanks, Robmc.

No ideas from the description and no hint... pretty new to this so I'll come back another time
Suscoe headed north east today in search of some jewels.
It was a coolish day but not as bad as some recent cold days we have experienced.
In fact it was sunny and still some times during the day and in the sun it almost felt warm.
Thanks to shack1961 for this hide, initially we looked at the obvious and then realised we needed to be more thoughtful about where the hide might be.
Mrs. S. spotted the hide and soon our name was on the log sheet.
Well done for this clever hide.
Time to head off to do some other important matters.

Nice work... again, spot-on coordinates had me thinking a certain way, and so it was. Another of my favourite hide methods to find in the wild.
And by "before the school run", I mean barely in time to get to my child's school before they started making phone calls. Totally worth it.
Well... Winter is back with a vengeance, but I needed a decent leg stretch, so after a job near the river, I rugged up, grabbed my rain jacket, and hoped for the best...
And enjoyed the river views and a lovely stroll, just managing to visit all the caches in this fun little series before the afternoon school run.
Thanks, shack1961, for the afternoon's entertainment.

Found with 2% battery! Have never come across this style of hide before! Thanks!
Left work early and as I had a bit of time I called in here on the way home.
I looked and looked then got muggled out so I waited about 10 mins then tried again.
I then noticed something out of place and remembered that i had found one very similar quiet a while ago.
A very sneaky cache and I wish that I had of looked there earlier.
Thanks shack1961 TFTC.

A relatively quick find, thanks to very accurate coordinates. But it took a while to retrieve it. Great hide, cheers!
Our family mechanic business used to be across the road from this hide, Wow, they have certainly tipped some money into the park since then which is great to see.
Having found one like this previously, the find was made in quick time.
Thanks shack1961 for bringing me back here.
