Shame, I didn't get a chance to get bitten today, evil fella must have exited the scene, stage left and not told anyone of his antics.
Messaged a previous finder, and called the C.O all to no avail. I was there a good 30 mins too.

Had a good look but found nothing of significance, hope the recent trimming of the flax has taken this out.
I had looked for this before but had absolutely no idea what I was looking for. This time, looked again and... oh wow, that's brilliant, and really made me laugh as soon as I found it [^] The outer was very sticky but the log and its container were in perfect condition. I can safely say I have never found a cache like this before, and I doubt I will again. Thanks for the bitey cache FMZ!!
Didn't find this one on the initial way past but a slightly different search place on return meant I snapped up the cache and added my name to the log. Sticky it was, and wiped my fingers afterwards, and legged it out of there. Thanks fmz
The weekend's here and I have an 8-day I'm looking to get up to a minimum of 10, hopefully more. I've been solving a few puzzles over the last week or so and have built up a fine selection of find options, and am keen to dip into those this weekend, and to explore some area that are fairly new to me and a little further away than my usual local ones.
The weather held off for the time we were on the trail(s) and I did some drive-by scoping for future entry points etc which was useful too. Thanks to all COs for their caches today.

After doing some shopping nearby I stopped for a short walk to find a couple of caches along this walkway. It might be there but I couldn't find it today. Searched a few hint objects within about 10m of where my GPS zero'd out.
Last find of the day. And also last wonder to collect. It was fun!
About the cache: Plastic holder of the container is very sticky and slimy ...
Thanks anyway!

Out and about for a few hours of cache detection this afternoon, for the first time in 2021. Certainly a nice and sunny day for it. I made the walk to GZ and got to searching. I tried all the hint items but didn't have any luck. I got some more intel from the CO that helped narrow things down. It still took awhile to find as it wasn't exactly where it should be and was some 9m out according to my GPSr. On return I moved it slightly so that it is now in alignment with the hint. The actual hide is hilarious; fav point applied! Though it was very sticky today for some reason. Cheers for the cache placement!
Out for a run this afternoon.
An easy cache to find without touching anything, no signature in the log from me, photo sent to CO for approval.
Pretty epic container!
Stay safe everyone!

Haven't done this section of the trail yet so headed out this way today to check it out. Thankfully the light drizzle today was enough to keep most muggles at home, and an easy find was made, TFTC
Got the kids to bike a bit further than normal to get this one! They loved the container! Happy social distancing everyone!
Nice quick walk to GZ from our park, might bring the bikes next time & check our this cycleway.
Got this one while riding past on my bike. Had to check a few items matching hint but got there in the end. Tftc
Out for a quick morning stroll together before my other half heads off for the cricket this afternoon.Plenty of the hint item about so after reading a note from the CO there was only one other place to check.Laughed when we spotted it and managed to sign without getting bitten.Lots of cars whizzing by seem to be a break from the cyclists at the moment.
Out with Butchie Bum collecting some local caches. Great cache container, very clever.
Had the biter under control in No time at all. Loved the container as had a laugh.
Tftc. This was a lovely 3 or 4km walk from home. I was a bit sceptical about finding it after all the recent DNF"s but found quickly with hint and previous posts. Now just a warm stroll home again.
2nd time lucky, inspired by the C.O's note, and armed with the hint I took a sunday ride for a fun find. There are only a couple of places the note-hint could match so it was an easy find in the end. Just watch out when leaving the shrubbery for speeding cyclists.
I will check on this as soon as I am able to, I am just not physically able to get there right now.
For some reason people can't seem to put this cache back using the magnet (yes, the cache *is* definitely magnetic), so it gets hidden in the greenery instead.

Took the title a little too literally and managed to slice my finger on something while looking for this one. Gave it a good 5 minutes without any luck
Found after the CITO event. Easy find and cool container. Thanks for hiding. Tftc
Bout time I grabbed this one as I drive past it most days, but not on a road I can stop on.

Certainly Bit me...managed to get myself a couple of nasty cuts from foliage...cheers V.
Looking to grab a couple of caches here and started with this one. No one around which helped as I needed a couple of attempts to hit the right spot and make the nice little find. All good here and soon off to the next. TFTC
Spent a very enjoyable morning on a walk/driveby trip with Team Welsh aiming to pick up the Cluedo series and any others nearby. Lots of fun, as is usual when we are out. Thanks.
Had a long overdue caching day with TF picking up some caches around this area, in between chats and laughs we managed to find a few.
No problems here and a very cool cache container.
Thanks

Out with PageNZ collecting caches in the area. Enjoyed finding this one. Loved the container. TFTC
So cool. the best hide of the day (FP) Out and about with Avoyager having fun. T4tc
First find of the morning since the weather was so nice and Albert the Geohound needed a walk anyway. Nice to be back here - I have a couple of puzzle finals in this vicinity so gave an opportunity to have a quick check in while taking a walk.
Got to GZ nice and quickly coming over the cool white bridge and then started poking about. Took a while to locate the cute container but got there in the end. Then the shock, the horror - no pen! Looked about for a suitable scratching item but didn't want to damage the log so took a photo - hope that is OK, let me know if you want to see it or I can always describe the container - hard to fake that one!
Thanks for the cache, all good here.

What a wonderful surprise we found at GZ. Love the bridges and panels between path and motorway. Brought the 13yr old and enjoyed the outing. Let's see if the detective clue can help us find the jewels!
I have to say this one made me laugh when I saw it! With little more than the coordinates and the hint to go on I wasn't sure how this find would go. After a quick check for muggles I dove in and locked eyes on the cache. TFTC!
Find number 5688. Spending the day caching with supernannny clearing some puzzle caches we had the final coordinates for. Being an Aucklander she did the driving and I gave directions. I nearly lost a finger in retrieving the cache. Thankfully I didn't so signed and returned. Thank you for the placement.
I forgot the sister cache hiding technique, so I was looking for something different. Eventually, and this is a long eventually, I expanded my thinking and found the cache. TFTC.
Out walking the dogs in the area, we see these bitey things appear to be multiplying along the cycleways. Tftc
Was out in the area today with TheWonderStuff targeting puzzle finals, of which I have many out this way. We couldn't help but stop for this trad as we were close by. Had to wait out a few muggles before venturing to find this. It took a while to get the right spot, but then I noticed the cache. This cache certainly bites!
Mrs Jag and I thought we'd grab some caches in between rain showers. A muggle's dog came running up to me and dropped it's ball at my feet, so while I threw the ball for it and distracted both the dog and the muggle, Mrs Jag snuck in and made the find
Met up with Merlot to find a few local caches. On our approach to GZ there was a muggle playing ball with her dog on the nearby green area. The dog took a liking to Merlot, so while she gave the dog some attention, MrsJAG went and found the cache. Very cute cache container.
With part of Team BOP - (Mr) Davidson clan, McJandals, and NZFlossy... All logs were signed RoT - Rotorua or Tauranga. We have been planning this mini raid of Auckland for a short time. We have discovered that we need a small push to kick onto our next milestone. Hopefully, this weekend's haul of caches will bring us a little closer...
We decided to focus much of our attention on Te Atatu this weekend. The sheer number of caches, the walkability factor, and the rumor of some high quality caches sounded appealing... We also agreed to stay together on the trail rather than split up - This proved to be a good idea considering the reputation and hiding prowess of the COs in this area. Four pairs of eyes didn't miss much...
And then that time arrived to head for home. It’s been a great weekend of caching, and we are that much closer to our mission target... We have a few solved puzzles to visit before leaving Auckland... This hide had the luck of being on our walking route. We dived down the bank and proceeded to search. For a small area, this was not as easy as we thought. Eventually, a methodical hunt got a result. Thanks FMZ and TFTC.

On a road trip with part of Team BOP which includes myself, NZ Flossy, Squirrel Nutcase and Davidson Clan. To save room we have signed ROT and I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing us here. Cheers
On an Auckland adventure with three other BOP cachers. An early start with lots of fun and a night in the big smoke. I don’t venture up here very often but we were on a mission. Thanks to the COs for some great caches Signed as Team ROTTFTC
Fourth to find here!
Would have been here earlier but was on child and dog babysitting duties...so unwise to leave then...even though only 15 mins drive....
So today was the day...after school drop off and dog walk...
Lovely place to explore !
Many thanks FMZ
...Glad I got to come here and look around in daytime!

When I saw the notification for this one come through tonight I kissed the wife goodbye and hit the road. Actually I was just heading out anyway so the timing was good. So after parking as close as I could I made my way to GZ on foot. When I arrived no one else was there and so I began my search... And for some reason tonight my phone app didn't want to settle. So after trying a couple of spots based on the hint, @McArgister arrived before I had found the cache... And so we continued our search together. (We should stop meeting in the dark like this... people will talk!) After another five or so minutes we had success. Love the creativity in the creation of this one! A favourite point from me. So after opening the log book the moment of truth... yes... we were first to find. The log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in it's spot all ready for the next hunter. Thanks heaps for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. TFTC.

Now that I’ve happily table-flipped my jigsaw puzzle (╯'□')╯︵ ┻━┻ I can log this find! Out the door in seconds for this but took a wrong turn on the way which cost me a couple of minutes at least. The coast seemed clear at GZ though, but then I spy a head bobbing in the bushes! I startled the puppy I found, whose name was Sherlock and after ascertaining the hunt was still on, I joined him in the bushes for a nocturnal rummage. We must have looked quite suspicious to the woman walking along as we emerged together after successfully locating this nicely designed wee nipper of a cache. Signed in as joint FTF and popped it back into place, safely in wait for its next victim. Good to see you again Sherlock the Puppy! Thanks for the jawsome cache!

Since we were already in the area for an FTF on another cache, we decided to find this new one as well. Had a chuckle when the cache was spotted, but should have known this was what we were looking for. Interesting to be on this side, having driven past on the other side many times in the last year or two. Thanks for the fun. Adding a Favoutite point for the container.
