Our last day in the area before we head home tomorrow. A beautiful day to find some more caches here. Found with Earthlight and Shandyk, and signed the log EGS. This was enjoyable and frustrating. TFTC.
Taking a few days off work so I can get away to Mildura for a long weekend. My first time in Mildura so lots of geocaches to tackle to keep me entertained. Perfect conditions to be outside and geocaching. This short trail of caches with high favourite points was high on my to do list. I was not disappointed. Every one unique and well crafted. Certainly put a big smile on my face. I had a couple of failed attempts here but eventually made it to the top. A favourite point from me. Thank you 4Moule, for placing Poking Around for the geocaching community.# # #15765 # #
Up in Mildura with LittleBoss2, Geo the puppy for a week of caching and golf. Today was a quieter day than yesterday where we managed to almost complete the Paddle Steamer series. Today we introduced a couple of Octogenarian friends to our game who completely outdid us in their ingenuity to solve various clever caches in this town with more than its share. This was thankfully a quick find but then the fun began. Plenty of times we got half way before dropping the ball, but we got there eventually. Clever but brutal
Found with Bogonghazy, sorceysal, geo dog whilst caching in Mildura. Great cache to introduce some friends who spent the morning with us. Thanks for placing the geocache
This one too took us a while to refine out technique before we were on a roll and soon had the cache.Another favourite from us.Our first full day in Mildura and after a quite cool night some beautiful Autumn weather has been really turned on. Blue skies and warm sunshine. We are staying a bit out of town but with quite a number of well-favourited caches nearby in the bushland and a variety of types we thought we would head out amongst them and try our luck. They were located along a range of bush tracks amongst the scrub so while dusty, fun to drive. Sadly no emus of kangaroos were spotted today to add to the fun.It truly was a great day caching with a fun range of gadget caches added into the mix. We awarded quite a few favourites to celebrate them, especially as we managed to solve them all.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache TheMoules.**SKI Pair****
Great cache, we did one like this near Kempsey by Ozglory. Really have to get your tongue sideways Another favourite point.
Found while having a look around the area today, staying in Mildura for the week. Pit of a poke around and the cache was in hand, nicely made. Thanks.Find #6975 on 18 Apr 2024.TFTC TheMoules!
Went out here with the dogs just to find those great caches. Did not even know this park was here. TFTC
Lol. This one took way too long. Knew exactly what to do but was failing on execution. Eventually we got it accidentally trying another tool that we basically lost. It behaved as if it were magnetic -- but it definitely wasn't so that had me puzzled. Oh well. Doesn't much matter. The log got signed and we got out of the sun.Enjoying all these caches with kiwisteve2. On our way back to Sydney after the Ballarat Geotour and the Great Leap Forward Mega Event in Adelaide and a short trip on the GOR and up to Flinders Ranges -- not in that order!TFTC
I really enjoyed this one and it took me two attempts to get the log out. I love a simple field puzzle that doesnt require a degree in mathematics to extract! Giving a FP here as its well deserved and Im totally going to steal this idea for a rural NSW cache. TFTC
Busting some time while getting a tyre repaired.Found a nice cache hide and container. Great field puzzle. Very Ingenious, FP4U TFTC SL
Last year when we were in this area this cache had been disabled so it was on the hitlist for this year's visit. And it was worth it. Thank you for the effort that has gone into the construction of the caches in this area. TFTC
Out with kbucky after being in SA to do the On Your Bike series. Its very wet so umbrellas are out TOTT today. This was another fabulous concept for a fun hide Thanks so much to the CO for this great cache and definitely worthy of a favourite point
4Moule, you are a geocaching star. Loved doing what we could of your series but the rain kept coming and the roads got more treacherous so we bailed out before we got bogged. Another fave point for youmuch respect kbucky
Well my trip up to QOGM started a couple of weeks ago and I took the very indirect route up to outback QLD to get there. So after cruising up the Hume to Sydney then the M1 and A1 up to Byron Bay with a few other roads in between as I have been cris crossing a bit so after heading west and making it to Longreach time for a break from the travelling. So after a couple big days out to Stonehenge, Isisford and Ilfracombe, The Tritonz and Roaming Howie finally joined me and we did the puzzle trail. Then a fun first muster day to Muttaburra and back then a great tea event and a few more caches.A trip to Stonehenge and back again for them. The second muster day and boy what a busy day as there was a lot going on in the car with everything we had to do.Collect trads, look at photos, find some forks and then some property numbers as well. The Mexicans as we were called teamed up with a couple of other cars The Morris and Pool Pool to have a lot of fun over the radio.Well all the caches have been found and after another great dinner event QOGM has officially finished. This was my first QOGM and I had a great time, but all good things must come to end and today I must start heading towards home but Im also taking the very long way around back to Victoria. So this was state # 4 for me on this trip.Roaming Howie is joined me on part of the Strzelecki track and left me at Camerons Corner.I continued on down the track and and eventually reached the black stuff again and stayed at Copley then Wentworth. The question for the day is will I reach Melbourne or make my holiday last one more night. After realising that there was a few more of this great series to do the decision was made I wont be home tonight.Lucky I need only to hands for this but it still took a bit of time for the cache to revile its self.A lot of fun to do.Thanks 4Moule TFTC.
A good find- thanks for attaching the tools needed. Made it much easier to obtain
Did one like this in Echuca. Very clever tyftc.

Found with SciFiRulz, Nannynomad and Joybells53 signed as dylz.
Bit of a combined effort and some peripheral thinking and several abortive tries, the cache appeared successfully. Brilliant cache, thankyou.

Found with nannynomad, MazzyMay and Joybell53 and logged as DYLZ for short (the last letters of our caching names.) Today we decided to head out for some gadget caches, MazzyMay and I have done some before, but nannynomad and Joybell53 were unfamiliar with the concept. This was a real challenge although I knew what to do, eventually we managed to access the log. TFTC

Found while on a fabulous weekend away to Mildura to complete the Paddlesteamer & Turtle geoarts, and various trads, multis + gadget caches. The Canberra crew included Nibletricecakes, joolay, kittykatch, youban, dty73, tankengine, barb2e, Klsarc & albida33. We signed as Mildura May Adventures 23 (MMA23). Unless otherwise mentioned, all caches were quickly found. TFTC.
Today was our second day adventuring together in the district. Out to tackle the Paddlesteamer and as many other amazing caches as we can with a lovely bunch of Canberra friends! Always fantastic to be able to get away for a long weekend of caching together. Loved the red dust and the crazy caching trails. Thanks for all the hard work from COs make and maintain these caches. Called our trip the Mildura May Adventure so signed as MMA or MMA23 today. Great to be caching with you KLSARC, GLISS! Albida33, Kittykatch, Barb2e, Joolay, Tankengine, DTY73 and youban. Thanks for a great weekend everyone. Thanks for the cache. This is a fav for me.
Southern Autumn adventure Day 54. Mildura Paddle Steamer Trip Day 3. After a huge day, the MAA team (Mildura Autumn Attack and we consisted of Nibletricecakes, Gliss!, Joolay, Kitty Katch, Barb2e, Tankengine, dty73, Youban and Albida33) headed back to the Paddle Steamer to finish the last bit. It did not take too long, and the whole series has been a joy of accurate and present caches. The next goal was the various Gadget caches rear Red Cliffs and then by the Gliding field. The day was completed with an all out effort to get to all the Turtle caches. Plenty of drive bys, but a few fun walks on muddy flats. This was another great series. A few of us gathered for take away dinner and retired for what rest could be achieved before tomorrows activities.
The various themed and gadget style caches we did today were all great and enjoyable after the series caching we have mostly done.
Thanks for the cache TheMoules

Tankengine, Youban and I came to Mildura for the weekend for a bit of caching with a bunch of other Canberrans (signed caches we did together as - MMA. Which I think stood for Mildura May Adventurers. It’s so hard coming up with group names).
We had an awesome time and ate at some really nice places, met a whole bunch of lovely people and found some great caches. Thanks to all the COs for their placements and my caching friends for their help and great company.
This cache: that was fun! A bit of team work made short work of this. Tftc!!!

you are giving my patience a workout today..l had to temporarily employ a random TOTT to start me off.. thankfully, no mishaps.. worthy of a fav point lots of fun.
Nice setup, everything needed was there, we just had to supply the patience. The system was working well till we got to the top bracket where things got dicey and I had to give some words of encouragement... 'whatever you do, don't drop it!' Yeah, sometimes the spectator is more of a hindrance than a help. But it worked. [^] TFTC TheMoules.

Together with my son, I am on a camping trip from Sydney to Broken Hill and back. On our 3000 km journey over 11 days we have seen some wonderful little towns, beautiful landscapes and many interesting geocaches.
Noticing the large number of favourite points awarded. I drove to caches around the Mildura glider airfield. It turned out to be a great afternoon driving across the sand tracks to some very creative caches. And yet another great field puzzle that I want to give a FP.

Headed out for a weekend afternoon of caching with the fam. Geodad had the job of retrieving this one, the rest of us were too short.
Took a bit to get the idea of getting started, but eventually retrieved the log. Container was sans lid though so took a little longer to retrieve that too!

Out this morning in Mildura picking up a few caches. This was one of them. This is a fantastic idea. I almost had the cache and then escaped again!! Argggg, slow and steady the second attempt and eventually had it in hand. Nice creation!! Fav point for sure!!
The lid has now been reunited with the container and the dry logbook placed back inside container. Maintenance carried out on field puzzle. Happy Caching!
We have been notified that the kid has come off this geocache and we will need to disassemble to retrieve. Disabling until that can be carried out
Day 4 of my 5 day Geocaching long weekend away. This would be Find Number 14 of 31 for the day.
Had seen one like this on YouTube so knew the concept but haven't tried one until today. Got it out easy enough but unfortunately the lid was off and in the bottom tried to retrieve it but was unsuccessful.

fitzy_1965 and I decided to head away for an extra long weekend so that we could attend the Tri-State Community Celebration Events along with the other events that have popped up.
A fantastic time was had and a nice number of caches found. Thanks to all the CO's for holding the events and/or placing the caches.
We spent the night at the Euston Club Hotel: an amazing room for only $90 and thanks to Service NSW for pitching in the other $50. Up early to make the trek back to Mildura for breakfast at a local cafe. A tad noisy but not complaining about the company! Whilst at breakfast we made plans to Yushaun & Laighside Legends to do the Lock Island wherigo and a couple more along the way then the new virtual before heading back to NSW for the morning CITO. Next was a couple of multis before tackling more of the Turtle series. Looking for something to do before heading to the last event for the weekend, we stumbled this fantastic area dotted with 4Moule/TheMoules gadget caches. Just fantastic!
It was wonderful to see cachers we hadn't seen for a while and to meet several new ones. There ended up being cachers from SA, Vic, NSW, Tas & QLD! Amazing!

28,498. Found with minniek while visiting the region for the Tri-State Community Events/International Geocaching Day weekend.
When minniek and I heard about the huge 8 event weekend (4 Community Celebration Events, 3 'normal' events and 1 CITO) to be held in Berri/Wentworth/Mildura/Euston celebrating International Geocaching Day, we knew that we wanted to be there. After two very busy days, we enjoyed the hour sitting enjoying a coffee and a nice breakfast to get the energy for the day ahead. We then headed out for more caches. This was the next one. We started to head down to the Camping CCE location when we discovered this group of amazing caches. Each and every one a great cache. Quick find at GZ. We knew what to do and soon had cache in hand sans lid. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then continued on to the next one.

We poked around
The cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.
I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.
This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and a Samsung S8. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs...
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Brilliant- reminds me of ‘initiative activities’ ie problem solving for kids - Big Wow factor here too - no chance of muggles causing grief today! This was a challenge too and it had me ‘fiddling for awhile. Looks like a perfect spot to hide all sorts of goodies or even unsavoury thingos whatever that might be. Headed out on the MTB despite the rising temp gauge and in psychological need of a destination AND the lure of a few large caches for a wee mission. So after solving the puzzle here I am. TFTC and the fun of exploring new territory. Pretty different to home base in the mountains

Out caching today with Wollaston and SeasonedBird. Perfect day for caching thanks for arranging. A cool hide thanks and fav point
Started the day over coffee ️ with Mrs 4Moule and her mini-me I have decided that any day it’s not blowing a gale is a good day in these parts to do outdoorsy stuff. So toddled over here to sort out the go-go gadget caches and explore the landscape. This trail and was great value Ended the day hosing down Star the geocar A few smileys = a happy geocacher.
This cache should come with a warning ️ Bring a packed lunch! It took a while and necessitated visits to the surrounding scrub and the car. I was even tempted to let it go but, well, it’s a geocache and how embarrassing would that be? I have a splinter wound on my left thumb as evidence of my efforts. The CO has done an amazing job on these creations

We came out tonight with a fresh container as the other one had become brittle. A new logbook is in place as well. All in place ready to be found. Happy Caching!
We have decided to completely replace the container on this one after visiting this morning. Will be back up and running by the weekend. Happy Caching!
Found with tassie expat while exploring this nice area. This CO has a bit of a crazy streak I reckon! We got it and signed it but it took us ages. We've msg'd the co as there's an issue with it. Thanks for placing this one though, lots of ingenuity.
What an amazing cache! Boy, did it take us some doing. We did have to seek shelter back in the car at one stage. Team work was the key. Another fantastic cache from the COs. TFTC
A little bit of maintenance is needed for this geocache and was hoping to get out this afternoon and quickly fix it but alas, our two tired kids have put it off. Will be out tomorrow morning to fix. Thanks tassieexpat for getting in contact with us to let us know something is not quite right.
We had heard there are some really cool caches out near the airport, so we made our way to check them out. We had the pleasure of meeting the Cache owners yesterday; it is always fun to do the caches of other Geocachers you have met. With the sparse vegetation, you can find your way to the cache quite easily. Finding this cache and accessing the log are of different levels of difficulty. It took several attempts to access the log, and several times curse words were uttered. We finally had the log in hand and added our stamp. The cache is in good condition (the log container has a few cracks that may let the infrequent rain in). Thank you for this cache 4Moule, another FP for the challenge to get to this log.
We did this probably an unorthodox way, but got there in the end. Thanks for the hide.
As soon as we saw this cache we knew that it might take a little while to extract the container containing the logbook. After some individual attempts, we combined our efforts with each of us having one of t he supplied tools. That was much more successful and we soon had the logged signed. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks 4Moule for a challenging cache - it earns a favourite from us.

In Mildura for a few days with Snap Happy, omegaman1971, Happy Feet, Happy Pants and The Empire.

Had a chance to come out this side of town and discover a wide variety of different types of caches. Another simple but challenging hide that ensures a few laughs and a steady hand, great to do this as a small group because the laughs out number the steady hands but in the end we managed to leave our mark and head off to the next one. These types are always good fun, again many thanks 4Moule for the cool cache. Fave point added.
