We stopped to find the geocache here but it looks like it may be missing. What we can see as trees on Satellite view is now big mounds of bark chips. No luck finding the geocache.

A short stop here today, the cache was easily found and is all good. what a great event GC2020 was
With my days numbered in SA I had a few targets that I have wanted to tick off put around Murray bridge and the surrounding areas to find. With the work finished in the early morning I set off for a nice day tackling the virtual at Monarto, ice cream series, lost wanders series and the Aussie Challenges plus a few others along the way, total of just over 100 finds for the day.
Thanks for the cache

Weather wise this was a bad day so we only did a few caches close by to where we are staying.
We were all prepared to go to the Millicent Mega when COVID struck.
Planning on doing it this trip.

After a big weekend attending the 2022 JLWE in Clare.
It was time to head home grabbing the odd cache as I go, just seeing if I could hit a milestone before the SA/Vic boarder.

On way to home (Melbourne). finding your cache GeoVenture2020, thank you so much for placing it.
We are on our way to join up with a small group of cachers to do the On Your Bike Series, today is a stopover in Murray Bridge to visit with family and, of course, doing a small amount of caching.
Our appologies for the boiler plate logs but I have got so far behind with my logging this is the only way I can catch up.
We have had a great day and found all of the caches that we targeted, we did any running repairs that were needed and all caches were left in a good condition for the next visitor. SL TFTC

On a fine Saturday I set out with Southern Cross Caching an Uni and Medusa for a day around Murray Bridge. There were a couple of new series published recently and it seemed like a good place for a day out.
We started at the Lonely Lookout Cache, and I think this is the third cache I've found in this location over the years. Then went on to Slow Mail, and a few others around Eastern Murray Bridge.
After an average coffee at OTR we started the Australian Mountain Peak series, with a short side hussle for some bush fishing and then to Sunnyside. Its been years since I found the other cache at Sunnyside, and glad to see its still there. As a kid we used to live nearby and my parents would go skiing and fishing here with friends. I also spent a lot of time hanging around footy ovals on Saturday afternoons while my dad umpired the local games.
Following on from the Mountain Peaks we ventured on to the SAR series. I was thinking South Australian Railways, but it turned out to be rivers. I am surprised that dry South Australia has so many rivers!.
Turning back towards Murray Bridge we caught up on some of the more recent Wandering Heroes, I have met and know a lot of the heroes, but some are still just names and I hope to meet you in future.
Then on to the Hairy Armpit Series, but I misread that and it seems its Happy Armpit Series. The former is funnier
Getting late in the afternoon we still had an hour or so of daylight, so started on the Oz Mega Signal series. This was interesting because I remember riding my bicycle along this stretch of road in the 1970's as a 9 year old participating in a cub camp. We had to ride from Murray Bridge to a farmhouse near where we spent the night in a shed in the farm that fronts number #66, then rode to Jervois Oval the following day. All roads being gravel and having skinny tyres it was a long and grueling ride for a 9 year old. And the night was freezing.
All caches were found except for one DNF, and on the last three caches the rainstorm had finally hit and we were drenched, and it was completely dark. Finding a cache by torch in the bush in the dark in a wind and rain storm, well it stopped being fun and we decided to leave the final cache for another day. Over 200 caches found and this helps with a challenge cache that I've found but not logged in Victoria.
Thanks GeoVenture2020 for placing and maintaining the cache

Found at 8:55 on what started out as a perfect caching day with Shonkylogic and Southern Cross Caching. Perfect right up to the last three or so, where it was getting dark, cold, windy and rainy. In the end, that defeated us, even though there was just one cache left in the plan.
We had lunch somehwere along the Karoonda Highway at a picnic table, sandwiches supplied by Southern Cross Caching, chilli sauce supplied by Shonkylogic. The mozzies were a bit troublesome, but nothing compared to SXC's encounter with a snake.
It was so good to get out on one of these runs. There were plenty of old caches which have been on the must-do list for years, but also some newies.
Thanks for the hides

We were coming back into Murray Bridge after completing the very enjoyable South Australian River series when we noticed this cache. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition.
We have logged a "Will Attend" for the Millicent event. We go back to Tassie on 25 August but are booked to come back in late September. We really hope that the event goes ahead in these difficult times for large gatherings,

The team headed off to Adelaide for a wedding for a couple of weeks in the caravan, exploring Victorian and South Australian country side, with many campsites to stay at, and many more caches to find along the way. Thanks so much to the CO's maintaining these for us to explore.
Easy find from 5m away, after a quiet sleep 80m from GZ at the Rec Reserve.

Cute little find! Had me stumped for a little while because I didn’t want to impose on the cache neighbours TFTC
Massive day out today. Left home at 8am and headed off to CP World. I did the Shanks Pony series first, wish I’d read OZGrumpy’s logs as I was ill prepared for the mozzies and was bitten alive. Also had many face fulls of spider webs...yuck and a couple of low branches smacked my head.
Some caches easier to find than others but an enjoyable walk, just me and the wildlife. All caches found was very sad when I found a dead sleepy lizard caught in the ‘conservation’ park fence, made me feel . Counted 28 sleepies on my day out today many in pairs on the roads hope they survive.
Then on to a couple of target caches on my list. Into suburbia in MB where my usual frustrations kicked in but did avenge a prior dnf which was good. The under light of the day was being savagely attacked by a magpie down by the river, still hurting from that now! And I am a Pies supporter!!
Nice bakery lunch and some lab caches before onwards to the safari series which I really enjoyed.
Finally got to the event a bit late, was fabulous to see so many cachers in attendance, very well organized with particular care given to Covid protocols. Enjoyed a few chats and lamingtons as well as a Bindi poo bag. Then on to so the new cache circuit. Stupidly had left battery pack in car which meant I had to detour there before collecting the last 3 caches of the day.
Walked 15kms today and arrived home via a couple more lab caches exhausted, a little sunburnt, mozzie bitten, head bashed from low branches and hurting head from swooping magpie, despite all this epic fab day out. Thanks to all who made it possible!!!
Missed the 2014 event but felt like I have been to this spot before for a cache. TFTC hope the Millicent mega happens one day!

Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I had a general plan to head towards Murray Bridge, and do some walks and hiking in one of the many parks in the vicinity. It turned out that there were a few FTFs still available, and so we called past the Monarto area first to find those, before walking through the Monarto Woodlands. We then made a long detour drive past a couple of oldie caches, and called into Murray Bridge for an enjoyable bakery lunch. We then spent the afternoon around the foreshore of Murray Bridge, and completed the new *Port Mobilong* Adventure Lab in the area. A final drive to across the Murray to Riverglades, Avoca Dell, and Murray Bridge East to check out a few new areas, and then returning home in the late afternoon. An enjoyable day with only a few minor showers, but otherwise not too bad.
How is there a sign here that says "Monty"? Was this a remnant from the previous Mega here, or is this a gravestone marking Monty's turf? I'm not sure, but what I did find was a cache. The cache container was in good shape, but the logbook was damp/wet. Thanks GeoVenture2020 committee for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
P.s. interesting to see Google either suggesting the Coorong route, or route via Kadina to get to Millicent. The main highway route via Naracoorte was interestingly excluded?

A quick find with an unmistakeable marker ! Sad that we didn't get to the home town of the loo paper factory at Easter.
Hopefully we'll all make it down there when stocks and other issues return to something resembling "normal".

Owl had a terrible week and needed a caching break. Fortunately, JJ52 was in the same situation, so they joined forces for fun, frivolity, long drives in the country and as many caches as they could lay their hands on. Owl came home in a much better frame of mind, so aims satisfied! This cache proved Owl needed a coffee, as she made an incorrect assumption about where GZ was. Much further down the road, with a smile at the location, the cache was quickly found.
A caching day had been planned with Doctor Owl and it was decided that we would come down to Murray Bridge for a couple of new caches, then head out to a couple of solved puzzles and find any others that we came across heading back to Mount Barker. [^]
A great day of finding caches, driving some wonderful back roads, walking and climbing trees, and by the time we had finished we were both tired but very pleased with what we achieved.
I remember being here in 2014 for my first mega and am looking forward to SA's next mega...hopefully! A quick find in the obvious spot.
Thanks for the cache GeoVenture2020.
