I enjoyed the way this one was set away from the main track. Cache is pretty good shape but does need a replacement o ring to prevent moisture getting in (waterproof log so no a big problem) and a replacement key ring part as the salt air is taking its toll on the current on. Great fun - thanks!
Tiptoed in to GZ trying not to trample on everything. Got to a clear spot & then glanced around & there it was. Bit of water in the container & log was dripping. Bit hard to sign so hope the ink of my initials doesnt rub off. [TFTC]
Out for a walk here today, grabbing the caches on the way.
Found it easy, exactly as described!
Thanks!

As we approached GZ we spotted what looked like a geo trail so we decided to follow it and soon enough we spotted this nicely hidden cache. Now to make our way to the beach.
Such a nice day we could not waste it staying at home. The views from the beach are really stunning, definitely a place to come back to in summer. All good with the cache, TFTC
Having lived in NZ for nearly 14 years, this was just my first visit to Karekare. The trip out west was with Vistra who has been out and about in the Waitakeres many times. It was a lovely day for a road trip, some hiking and some geocaching.
A straightforward find. Thanks.
Note: I did try to log this cache using the app and the 'draft' function as I had no signal. However, when I posted the log once my signal had been restored, I couldn't find the log I had made. There must a be a glitch in the matrix! Apologies if my log eventually appears twice.

I headed out to Karekare with AliGle today and after visiting the Falls, we took a walk down Karekare beach to Pararaha Swamp, then back again. I miss being able to walk in the hills around here, but it was still a great walk along the beach. Made a quick find of the cache along the way. TFTC!
Having never been to Karekare before I decided to go on a day trip to this famous beach with the kids and grab some caches along the way. This cache was a nice quick find as there was a geotrail leading straight to it TFTC!
Out exploring Karekare, thought I would walk along the beach, before tackling all those stairs.
Turned off to soon, decided to backtrack to the next geotrail, and spun around (ok Wonder Woman style) and there it was
Thanks for the hide boneybruce & funkymunkyzone

On the way out to the beach with Pazza on a blustery sunday morning and this was a nice quick find along the way
Starting on a Sunday morning can avoid a lot of Muggle trouble, and that was exactly what we did. We met a lot of feathered muggles on our way back past here after visiting the tunnel cache. Kereru were having a huge feast on ripe Kawakawa berries all along this track. Beautiful spot for a cache!
Lazy Sunday in Karekare with PeanutButterBaby. When GPS was getting steady PBB got it already. TFTC
Took a lovely walk on Karekare beach and found a few caches. Got lost on the way to the cache and had to climb through some hedges TFTC
Caching with themexikiwi and wandered on past this one (on the way to Wild Karekare as luck would have it).
Appreciated the chance to let the very slow wedding procession ahead of us get on with their business as we left the track to find the cache. All good here and soon off to grab the multi. Nice spot - TFTC

We needed a break from the hectic build-up to Christmas, so took sometime for a walk at Karekare. We had to wait for a family of muggles to continue on up the trail, before we could take the short detour off the trail to collect the cache. Didn't take long to spot this one hanging about.
Enjoyed a sunny morning in Karekare collecting some new geocaches. Took the wrong trail to the geocache but with a bit bashing I was quickly at GZ. TFTC
Was surprised at how much the water level had come up since our last visit a few weeks ago, glad we weren't planning a picnic lunch! quick easy find here.

Yay... A Surprise { FTF } here today !
Had been relaxing in my bath this morning and saw this new cache had popped out !
Had already made a plan to go caching and maybe cache planting with nette today as we both had the day off .
We discarded the original list and left mine at 8.30 for Karekare ....Third time in 2 weeks for me ! We were surprised to see the car park was full ...and kids were everywhere ...Lone Kauri School were having a beach clean up.
All the way out we were wondering if we'd meet some more geocachers ....quite a drive here from Ranui .
Near GZ saw a very obvious geo trail and nette went ahead and made the find .
Then we realised there was a new multi too !
Thanks so much for the cool adventure FMZ and boneybruce whom I still haven't met in the flesh yet ...OOOOPS
Lovely weather too.....
I logged immediately as I always do ...sorry it didn't get through.
Same thing happened to Tufty and KFC when they went for a possible FTF on Pohutukawa Glade...

When this traditional was published I was waiting to pick up my coffee order for myself and the rest of my family. If I had only been buying coffee for myself I wouldn't have thought twice about rushing out this way, as I had the day off work. Unfortunately, I had to deliver the coffees and help with chores around the house. I had this on my watchlist, and a couple of hours later there had still been no logs so I decided to head on out.
Ended up spotting the Gorby mobile in Henderson and ended up following him all the way to Karekare, with both of us stuck behind a slow truck. We headed straight to this cache, leaving the newish one by the carpark that had already been found until the return trip. We finally arrived near GZ and followed a slight geotrail and quickly located the cache. Opened the log to find that we'd been beaten to the cache by almost an hour and a half! It was a bit frustrating to know that they'd found the cache before I'd even left home. Oh well, it was a gorgeous day and the view was amazing. Joint 2TF with [@Gorbygorbachov](http://coord.info/PRA2YG4) at 11.05am. Thanks for bringing us back to this wonderful location.

Not doing much at home today, so decided to head out and try for 2 FTF's, a multi came out yesterday and this one today. On my way I couldn't help but think I was being followed, turns out it was aiden29! We arrived at the carpark together and that's when I saw it's her.
I put on the gumboots, and we walked out. Familiar territory this... seems like I was just out here a few days ago...lol! Anyway, got to GZ and aiden was on to the cache hide, she said we weren't first, what! I see supernanny and nette were. I was a little discouraged to see they hadn't logged this online by now. Never mind, it's possible the multi might be up for grabs. Thanks for bringing us out here FMZ, good day for a small walk.
