This weekend is a mental health/selfish/me time weekend.
Headed to YP to do as I please which of course meant geocaching.
My plan was to ‘finish’ fishing . It and the geoart will be almost finished bar avenging some prior dnfs.
Was also keen to find some multis and visit a few places I haven’t been to before.
Mission accomplished in my happy place for the day. Only 2 dnfs. Sadly the Pies lost their Prelim final but we love to fight another day. Stansbury was a revelation to me the pub was brilliant.
All up around 130 found for the day.

Out every day locating and logging using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck Quite a bit of that!!!
*Logs are composed and published using GSAK of course.*

Please do stay safe when caching.
Keep a lookout for bogs, snakes, surprise cliffs, boxing roos, wombats, bulldust, and floods,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for bugs from alpha to omega !!! . [xx(]
Ensure that Travel Bugs are the only bugs you share and pass on
Now our borders are open - even more important to sanitise and safely distance!!!
We do really appreciate all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside,
it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting

This weekend, I headed to the Yorke Peninsula. The goal was to visit Innes National Park for the Saturday to find a few of the oldie geocaches, but also to enjoy a different vicinity for geocaching. I used Edithburgh to base myself for the weekend's activities. On the drive to/from Edithburgh, I visited Ardrossan, Port Vincent, Wool Bay, and Coobowie, and also visited as far south as Sultana Point and Troubridge Point.
Today, I took the long route home back to Adelaide from Edithburgh, but did multiple detours along the way. I initially headed south to Sultana Point, followed by Troubridge Point; Two areas that I hadn't visited in all of my historical Coobowie Yorke Peninsula trips. I then drove north following the coastal route, stopping off in Coobowie, Wool Bay, and Port Vincent. A highlight was visiting the white clay mine just north of Stansbury, and it was a nice walk along the beach to get to.
A quick stop here whilst on my way back home. I managed to find the cache quickly, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks The X-Trailers for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

A quick overnight trip to the Yorkes for 1.5 days of solid caching. I did a bit of the geoart by myself before meeting up with Davidwazza for a majority of the day caching around Innes National Park. With an event in the evening in Edithburgh headed over there before going for a nice walk along the water front for the evening. Day 2 I made my way from Edithburgh along the coast line and back home by lunch time. A total of 169 caches for the trip.
Thanks for the cache

Today was another Wednesday wander for members of Befuddled Puzzle group. [^] We headed over to Yorke peninsular to find some caches including some solved puzzles, some fishy tales and anything else we happened to come across.
Not a quick find here. We pulled up and assumed it would be the tree. Three GPS units left in the car. Total noobs. So I pulled out the phone and turned on C geo and walked to where the cache was found. Rested the phone on the fence posted, grabbed the cache, cleared off the snails and stamped the log. Off we went and I realized I didn't have my phone. Luckily we were only a few kilometers down the road. Back we came and there was the phone still on the fence post! As I retrieved the phone the windmill was squeaking nosily as if to mock me...so I shot it! [^]
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
***Thanks The X-Trailers for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

After lots of travel over the past few months, I arrived back home in Adelaide on Monday from a short trip to Tasmania. However, after only a few days I was getting itchy feet again so thought it might be good to try and squeeze one last trip in before Christmas. The Yorke Peninsula looked likr a good option, so I made a last-minute decision yesterday to head down there today.
I couldn’t believe my luck this morning when I got up and looked at the caching app and saw that there were a few new unfound caches that had been published in the past few days that were close to where I was headed. Whether or not they would still be unfound by the time I got there was another matter, but they were certainly worth checking!
I had to drive close by this one, so it was just a very short detour for a quick find. And I was very pleased to find an empty logbook for the *FTF* , the second of what turned out to be nine for the day!
Thanks The X-Trailers for the cache.
