Jetty is under a $4M refurbishment. Cache will be replaced when the work is completed next year.
Jetty was closed just at the end, to think that we walked all that way for nothing!
We were doing the adventure lab here and looking forward to getting a traditional bonus cache at the end but unfortunately the last piece of the jetty was fenced off and we were unable to get to gz. We possibly wouldn't have been able to look anyway as there were so many fishermen out here today.
Been here on a few occasions but no luck. Today of all days the area is closed off. A tad disappointed.
While out on a caching adventure with ilook4geo today, we decided to pay a visit to Beachport. There were plenty of caches to find and we just chose a selection of different ones. Some were a bit easier to find than others but we ended up having a successful day. Logs were signed before caches were replaced.
Sadly the attachment for this one was detached and we found that first. It then took a bit more looking to find the container, but jt eventually came to light.
Thank you to GeoVenture2020 for placing this cache.

On a caching trip with jebjeb and goingplaces2. This was not an easy cache to find quickly and duties were soon done once it was found. Thanks for the placement go to Geoventure2020.

Post geoventure caching with Sebastbat, Jack, **JEM**, and Froghoppin, to clear some SE maps Mostly headed around Beachport today, but did get distracted a little [:o)]
Sorry for some fairly generic logs today, it's a lot to get logged on a night after so much driving around LOL But we certainly had a lot of fun finding each and every cache !
Thanks you for putting this cache out on the SE SA geomap GeoVenture2020

All our Geocaches are located and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck!
---
Please do stay safe when caching.
Lookout for mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure Travel Bugs are the only bugs you share and pass on
We really appreciate all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside,
it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting

Mr Tardis was here for the GeoVanture2020 mega event. I drove down here to complete the new lab cache along the jetty.
I had to phone a friend to find it. Maybe I need glasses?
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache GeoVenture2020.

Finally, the day of the Mega Event in Millicent has arrived and I was lucky enough to have escaped Queensland to attend
After the official opening, I joined forces with Liz and Bruce and Wollaston in search of a few challenge caches, adventure labs, and other caches which might come our way on the day We had a great afternoon, and even met a few other cachers at various locations along the way
Thank you GeoVenture2020 for creating the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Day 2 of Millicent GeoVenture 2020 heading out with Wollaston, Liz & Bruce, Brad&Janet and JustaTrifle.
Day 2 is MEGA DAY and the weather is miserable but nothing was going to dampen our spirits, today’s mission was to boil a giant crayfish ?? ??
Fueled up on delicious egg & bacon sangas, drinks and snacks stashed, we were on our way.
Along the way we kept our eyes peeled and managed to tick off a few trads and add some more smileys to our map.
At this one we looked and looked and looked some more, even roped in several tourists to help and finally our caching queen came up with the goods.
Thanks to the many hands and minds putting together these series for the long awaited event.

After reading the reviews we did find it. GZ many, many metres from given coordination. Log on gc . tfth
We think muggles are sitting where the cache may be, so we'll have to come back for a better look.
Away for an ANZAC weekend, spending time with family at Lake St Clair. Today we caught up with a very dear friend who recently relocated to Beachport and spent the day caching..Actually mostly finding her caches!! Attempted this with one of the CO's..sadly it had gonski... TFTC
Came back for second look gave up and heading back and hubby spotted. Nowhere near where navigation sent me
Super windy. Also not to hard fun to open up your jacket and battle the wind
Walked off lunch going against the wind on the jetty! Made a quick find on this one, TFTC
My parents live on a lake and there is a town called Long Jetty. I wonder what the Councillors would call this jetty if they saw how much longer it is!
The walk along here was beautiful in the sunshine with a nice breeze. It was lovely seeing people out and about and enjoying this pretty spot.
Thanks for the cache and it was a quick find as not many muggles right at the very end.

Easter long weekend which meant we rescheduled our Beachport trip from last year to this year. We were up nice and early and decided a walk to and along the pier was in order to start the holiday off. Easy find here as no one else was about. Nice to tick these ones off. Thanks for the cache.
Glorious weather in Beachport this arvo. Finding a few caches on our travels. TFTC!
If this is the second longest jetty in SA we would hate to have to walk out on the longest....well the unfit Triton would anyway lol
An easier find than the last but happy to say we found both spots muggle free.
Thanks GeoVenture2020 for the placement.

There is loads of people fishing here today and they all appear to wanting to catch something a little different. SL TFTC
A nice walk out along the jetty today with one of the COs this cache was easily found and is all good
Today I collected a few caches around Mount burr before heading to the CITO in Millicent then out for the day with Freddo finding a few UNALs and the odd cache around the south east. A good day out overall.
Thanks for the cache

A long weekend away with sir_spectre. Lots of 4WDing and for me getting those caches that I had been hoping to get to one day. We had to avoid the tourists but made a quick find.

It was indeed a very peaceful day... perhaps too much and I found that by late afternoon it was bordering bordom. With the afternoons wild wind the beach wasn't as appealing as a drive out for a few caches!
Oh wow it was crazy windy here! Wild and lots of fun walking down the jetty! There was a guy riding the waves on the swimming pontoon. He was having a great time but in the end I think he blew off in the wind!
Coords are spot on so this was quickly located. The lid is no longer attached but seems to stay on well enough. Great betty and pleased to have a few caches to collect here today, thanks for the cache!

Found it! Great spot for a cache. It was very windy when we found it. Previously we tried looking for the cache at half way, but did not see anything. We will have to find it before we leave on Thursday.
From 27 November to 30 November, I & J plus the little one visited the Limestone Coast. We spent some good time in Murray Bridge, Kingston SE, Robe, Beachport, Southend, Millicent, Mount Gambier, Port MacDonnell, with the main focus on Millicent and Mount Gambier.
During the four day period, we tried about 100 caches in total, including Traditional Cache, Multi-Cache, Earth Cache, Virtual Cache, and Mystery Cache. And found about 80 of them.
This was the fifth find on Day 1.
Walked all the way to the end of the Jetty, and found the cache easily. Signed the log book.
Thanks for the cache, GeoVenture2020.

Thankfully no muggles around so I could search in peace. Quick find.

The great Southeast Saunter with Anymules down to the Millicent area to find caches associated with the postponed GV2020 mega. But with leave organized and accommodation booked the caching trip was not postponed! [^]
Day 5: Today we set off in search of some more unusual D/T traditional combinations and so made our way to Beachport to cache around there. As usual there were plenty of stops along the way to grab other caches that we were passing.
Finally we made it to the end of the jetty which is a popular spot for fishing. [^] The sign at the start said the jetty in fact was half a click longer. Crikey. We found the cache and started the long walk back.
***Thanks GeoVenture2020 for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

On a lovely family holiday trip to Robe. Youngest geodaughter found this one in a nicely hidden location on an extremely windy day. Had to make sure we held on to the log carefully so that it didn't get blown away! TFTC
Visiting Beachport for the day, and made the find after venturing down to the end of the jetty. Good spot for a cache.

Mr and Mrs Parrot are on a bit of R&R.
Really needed a break after the last few months and why not have a beachside break.
So heading out to Robe.
Going to check out some caches in the area and chill.
Which is easy to do given the temperature
A great end to the day walking out here as the sun was going down.
A very clever hide in a public spot.
Well done

Found during a very enjoyable caching trip to the South-East of SA with e.gregory1 for a few days. On Day 1 we traveled to Robe via the coast road, Princes Highway, through Meningie, Salt Creek, Kingston SE and camping out for the night. On Day 2 we drove around Beachport to Millicent and completed the GV2020 puzzle series before resorting to cabin accommodation in Millicent due to deteriorating weather. On Day 3 we toured around Millicent, out to Kalangadoo to do the bottle component of the wine geo-art series (leaving the glass for another day), down to Mt Gambier and Port MacDonnell, then back for another night in the cabin. Day 4 saw us return home through Penola, Naracoorte and Keith and back along the Dukes Highway. Targeting a range of cache types (Traditional, Puzzles, Earthcaches, Multicaches, a Letterbox and a Virtual), a multiple of cache attributes, and a wide variety of Difficulty/Terrain combinations resulted in some quick drive-by’s, tackling the trails, some tree-climbing, often using elevation devices and enjoying some nice walks and great scenic coastal locations. Thanks for the cache GeoVenture2020!
FeatherWaite and I thought we might chance our luck with the winter weather and head down to the south east for a few days of camping and caching. While the caching worked out well, the weather deteriorated quite a bit and we ended up having to abandon the camping idea after the first night and find ourselves a cabin for the next two. However, it did allow us to save some time and find a few more caches that we might otherwise have not got to in the time available.
After making our way down the Coorong, visiting a selection of targeted Traditionals, Multis and Earthcaches, we rolled out the swags on the first night under a beautiful clear (but cold) night sky near the coast south of Robe.
The following day we cached our way to and around Millicent until well after dark, picking up over 100 Traditional, Multi, Unknown, Virtual and Earthcaches, including the GV2020 geoart series, before settling into a cabin for the evening.
Another day caching around Millicent on the Friday allowed us to find another 85 or so targeted caches before the rain arrived in earnest and we were glad of the cabin accommodation again that night.
We made our way back home to Adelaide the following day via Penola and Naracoorte, again picking up a nice variety of caches along the way.
Overall it was a great trip, with over 200 Traditional, Multi, Unknown, Letterbox , Virtual and Earthcaches found along the way, many with quite high difficulty and/or terrain ratings. Most of the caches were in good condition, unless otherwise specifically noted. Favourite points have been allocated to those that I particularly enjoyed or found very clever along the way.
Many thanks to all the cache owners for placing the caches and the various puzzles. I am looking forward to my next visit to the region, possibly later in the year for the rescheduled Mega event at Millicent in October.

Headed out with Sylken today for a full on day out and about! Some amazing 4x4 territory particularly when you think you are on a gazetted road and it just looks like 2 wheel ruts! Loads of fun and far too many tree climbs.
Great weather for our day driving in the country. So many lambs and calves about. Long green grass hampered us at some caches but that adds to the D/T.
The boys headed out to these 2 whilst the girls hunted the info for the nearby multi.
