After parkrun in Hastings, I headed in this direction as it seemed to be the only event on today. Nice to pop in and say hello again.

Our state wide event that was going to have us in the area has been cancelled so we will no longer make it. Enjoy all!

Geocaching HQ is posting this Announcement on all future Events and CITOs.

As the Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) situation is evolving rapidly around the world, Geocaching HQ urges all Event hosts and attendees to prioritize the safety of themselves and their attendees.

At this time, we advise Event hosts to consult their regional health authorities to understand the guidance regarding gatherings of people. Generally, Geocaching HQ leaves the decision to Event hosts on whether to continue hosting the Event and to attendees on whether they will participate. In some regions, community volunteer reviewers may suspend publishing new Events and/or may disable, retract, or archive already published Events, in accordance with guidance from health authorities.

For hosts who wish to cancel their Events, we suggest that they:
1. Create an Announcement log to notify users that the Event is cancelled.
2. Archive the listing.
3. If hosts wish to reschedule the Event, submit a new listing.

Local regulations allow us to hold this event but will check with Bunjil and advise you from a GC perspective

Currently I am hosting this event well within the specifications of WHO (World Health Organisation) guidelines and Australian Government requests for public meetings

If you are concerned, instead of shaking hands, don't, or do a ScoMo assistant hand to elbow grip which, in itself, is a satisfactory way to greet someone!

Able to attend my first event in Vic with Firesafe as we had an unexpected free day. Great meeting new cachers.

Had a free day with the cancellation of the F1 AGP so why not attend a different event. Good to catch up with the locals and brought another motorsport cacher in nurseyjulie as well. TFTE ?????

Next time we will be paying as we order and I will tell the cafe no table service for orders.

Our over exuberant table assistant had us moving around in case people arrive yet inside was 3/4 empty. Did you know that for drinks alone we spent $117 without drugs and meals paid separately ... So I will follow up with owner how to better facilitate next event

I was a little late but I still made it for a third of the event.
Once again it was a good turn out, after having a bit of a chat it was soon time to head off.

Being so close to home we weren't going to miss this one. Again we really enjoyed the coffee here and the staff were super friendly and the conversation as usual was about all things Geocaching. We had a variety of welcomes from handshakes, touching elbows and, pats on the back. We have to say that this is the first non cito event that we have been to where hand sanitizer was provided and used. The one thing that we did notice was that there weren't as many attendees this time nor anywhere as many customers in the cafe itself.
It makes you really feel some of the effects that we are about to see happen in the wider community.
Everyone here had fantastic time before going our own ways.

I braved the cold of a Melbourne autumn morning and headed to Berwick to catch up with a number of local cachers. Some trackables discovered and lots of good conversation followed.

Lovely cold morning with a yummy latte. Great to catch up with cachers. Thanks to n0w0rries for some advices about the TB that I need to learn how to drop and pick up via mobile app. Thanks skuzzybear for placing this event.

Managed to get to this event! Great to catch up with a few people and meet a few new faces as well. Enjoyed it. Thanks for organising Skuzzybear!

We got early enough today be amongst the first to arrive! Despite fears of COVID19 virus scare quite a crowd turned up, were submitted to sanitiser for cleansing before we ordered breakfast and drinks. It was great to be able to renew our acquaintance with Fuzzybear. Topics included whether Megas were still going to go ahead or not and the usual discussion on recent caches published and similar topics. We all dispersed to our other activities planned for the day. For us it was off to find COTY nominee caches. We can’t waste a trip to’The Big Smoke’.

Great brunch time get together. I came with all 3 geo kids. We had a lovely meal and enjoyed talking with people we knew and met a few from interstate for the first time.

Thank you for all making time to log your will attend.
Those who are sick or confined I really do wish you well.
For the rest of us standing...
1) we are meeting outside so bring a jumper cos it looks like it will be cold. And I do know they have a heater for "OUR" area!!
2) I will have hand sanitizer for us to use upon arrival
3) we need another 470 people before we have to cancel

Please accept my apologies skuzzybear, et al. My daughter has come down heavily with flu-like symptoms and is on her way back to Monash Hospital. Although this may be related to the recent removal of a burst appendix I will not be taking any chances and have decided to give all social events a miss until she is well again.
