Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We are staying at Millicent for the week, finding some of the caches we should have found if we had not been prevented from attending the 2020 Mega by Covid19. Thanks for the cache, but unfortunately we couldn't find it. LNCU.

Looked everywhere: up, down, in. Repetitively.
There are a couple of good hidey holes with nothing, even looked for bisons. Checked all the sting bent trees, but Nothing is appearing so it’s time to move on.

Found by Rebel Acts in the company of The Empire, we were also joined by local hevwalker who helped us out with some required equipment for the days caching.

With it being School holidays in Victoria I had some time spare to head to Millicent where I teamed up with the Empire for a few days caching in the area, we had a fantastic time exploring the area. Today we tackled the The finding fish and DRB trails and a few other none trail caches that we past along the way. Then it was just the two of us to do the whine bottle before heading back into town for Dinner at the Pub for hevwalkers Birthday.

This is one of the caches found today.

Thanks GeocachingSA for the cache.

Another day in sunny Millicent of caching goodness. Here again with Rebel Acts and now joined by hevwalker, we had business on the trail, some logbooks needed replacing and we were happy to sign the new ones. Thanks for all of the caches in this cool series GeoVenture2020!

This was the Suscoes final full day of caching in Millicent and in the surrounding areas for this trip.
We were with our good friends Phetlern again and we had another terrific day out finding a range of caches in all sorts of locations.
It was a foggy start to the day but it lightened as the day progressed and ended up a quite pleasant Winter's day with sunshine and no wind.

Thanks to GeoVenture2020, we have enjoyed the Dead Ringers music over the years and of course Casey's music too. Very cleverly hidden, took us a while but Mrs S found it.
A favourite for the hide.

A somewhat foggy start to our final day based in Millicent, with our caching buddies, Suscoe. As the fog cleared and the sun actually became warm, we had a fun day finding a variety of caches, multis & trads, singing our way along the themed trail.
Really tricky one, this one! Maybe DR shold be a bit higher?

Thanks GeocachingSA for placing an interesting little trail.

After doing the crayfish in the morning anf then moving along to do the geoart fish, it was time to finish what myself and mogni started last trip, the DRB series. Found this series with other cachers as well before parting ways with them. All caches in the series found plus a few stray others along the route.

Saturday the official start of the 2021 Millicent Mega event. today was filled with a few caches before meeting others up for some power trailing then heading out in to the forests for some more caches. The weather today was filled with rain off and on but that didn't stop me and Mogni. I was glad we had the 4x4 instead of Mogni car for the trip.

SA Mega weekend with sir_spectre, a huge weekend of catchups and hunting geocaches. At different times over the 5 day weekend we joined up with other teams caching as either the misfits or mystery randoms depending on the numbers of people and who organised.
Unfortunately the weather was very typical of the south east and put many teams off exporing the forests and some great creative caches were only found by a few teams.
For me this was a little bit different than for others as I lived in the south east for 15 years and worked in Penola, Millicent and Mount Gambier. Strangely this also meant I kept running into people I knew each day.
Lots of wildlife seen, wombats, echidnas, snakes, kangaroos and wallabies. Luckily the snakes in particular kept leaving the paths as we were walking.
Thanks to the Mega committee for all of their hardwork organising and the many locals who have placed and maintained caches (this includes me Smile)
Thanks to GeoVenture2020 from mogni Smile

Today was the day planned to complete the crayfish and the fish pole caches along with others decided along the way with CPwanderer, Gizmo's Gang, clare007, mogni and sir_spectre. [^]
We met up with a few other teams at various times during the day and signed logs as misfits or mystery randoms. Big Grin
A fun day was had with lots of caches found, lots of TOTTs used and very wet feet and legs, but we were lucky that the rain held off for most of the day. Cool
Really enjoyed this series of caches thanks GeoVenture2020. Smile

The great Geoventure 2020 tour....take 2...which is of course now in 2021 Surprised Once again it myself and AnyMules doing things that not many sane people would attempt. [:o)]

Day 2: Today we set out to do a few newer caches in and around Millicent. Cool But as we were following the unfound boxes we found ourselves out at Mt. Burr and so it was onto the wonderful Native series, then a spot of Pole Fishing and then some more of the DRB series along with anything else we came across. Smile If anything was particular interesting there will be a comment

Here.. This one I didn't get but we did find the current cache! Smile

Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. Twisted So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers from over fifty to single digits. Cool That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]

***Thanks GeoVenture2020 for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big Grin

Staying another day in the south east after the "Used 2B a Geoventure" celebration weekend.
There's such a choice of caches to find down here [8)]
( Hopefully we'll be back for the real Geoventure when it's able to go ahead Wink )
"Still is a Geoventure", "Better Late than never", "Geoventure Resurrection" all came to mind for next year Razz We're sure it'll be a blast!!!

Teaming up with Sebastbat, and JEM, we hit the tracks again today and headed, umm, thataway...
The weather which was "challenging" on the weekend had turned to a mild and pleasant sunny day. We're starting to really like it down here, but alas, "essential" work expects us home soon [|)]

Well that was a sneaky little bugger. Nicely hidden.
No mint tins here, I'll give this one a fav for good camo and the whole series too,

Thanks for placing and maintaining another great cache in this region of our state GeoVenture2020

Stay safe while caching, the things you touch can often be dirty,
wash your hands, wipe down your cache gear, stay on this side of the border ( it was tempting... Wink )
sanitise, exercise, even wear a mask if the season makes you sneeze and cough, and
cache the countryside safely distanced at least an emu or an adult brown snake's length apart ! ! !
Have fun out there caching the regions ! ! ! Smile

Huge day out with the hound finding caches around Millicent and Mount Burr. Geohusband had to work so reassessed my plan as now the hound was in tow. He had already been out hunting for 2 hours before we left the farm so was already pretty tired. He was then super excited about the road trip and wore himself out even more before we started finding caches.
He loved his day and apart from a scary moment when he got bitten by something (thinking bull ant) on his paw he had a most excellent time. We found 40 caches and enjoyed the celebration event (Rex had burger and donut scraps). He was still puffed on Sunday night.
We found some really cool caches and thank all the CO and especially the Mega committee for all their splendid efforts. We love country caching.
This was a very tricky find, had to PAF and don’t think I would have found it without an additional hint. At least a 3/3.5 hide in this type of location. TFTC

Sadly, as we were on a time constraint today, we couldn't spend the time hunting for this, so will have to revisit next timer we are in the area. maybe Geoventure 2020 2021

D is too low, it is more of a D4-5 worthy. Tricky hide here

This cache series was on my to do list today, most of them were fairly easy finds and I liked the variety of hides. All the caches are in good order

Today I made started with a bit of caching around the Millicent area before heading back to adelaide in the afternoon. The day was also separated by a early afternoon tea event. All up 46 finds for the day.

Thanks for the cache

Most of this series, we had found relatively quickly,
not this one....
By the time we had finished looking & found it some time later,
the place looked like it had been stampeded.
Thanks for the cache & sneaky hide GeoVenture

Really enjoyed the clever relevant decorations on this series ..................... but not here!! We spent ages looking for a small but eventually found the very tiny cache. Could see the connection of the cache/song title to the hide. Still ..... we made the find!!

This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and a Samsung S8. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs...

Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Since arriving in Millicent we have been dodging the rain. Today was forecast to be fine so we chucked 3 loads of washing through before we joined forces again with Sylken to tackle the DRB series and a few other caches nearby.

A fun day with friends. Woo Hoo. OMG 3 looked and looked then Mrs F joined the hunt and we looked and looked all ready to log a DNF we were heading back to the car when Syl went ahoy there whats this! GRRRR OMG how many times did we all look at that. [:o)]

First to find on the 10th of March 2020
This one was a very time consuming cache, we looked for ages before we found it almost by accident. Not sure if this should be a small.
Wasn't in the first place we looked, or the second, or the third, but it was in the last place we looked. The co ordinates were good which helped immensely.

When you start thinkin' that you know it all
Big wind blows and a branch will fall
When you say "Hey this job takes two"
We can sway with the wind till the skies turn blue
Sway with the wind till the skies turn blue
Like a tree out in the backyard
That never has been broken by the wind
Our love will last forever if we're strong enough to bend
Our love will last forever if we're strong enough to bend

Thanks GeoVenture2020 for the tricky cache, found, signed and replaced as found. TNLN
