Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Staying in Millicent for a few days to grab some finds placed for the ill fated Mega 2020. Thanks for the hide. LNCU
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We are staying at Millicent for the week, finding some of the caches we should have found if we had not been prevented from attending the 2020 Mega by Covid19. Thanks for the cache. LNCU
Day 10 of our loop through Vic and SA then home.
Today fitzy_1965 and I again joined albida, Sol de lune & smittengranny. We signed as MAFSS to save room. Some of us may have rebelled and signed FAMSS instead.
We started the morning later than normal as we caught up with a couple of local cachers. Was great to share a cuppa with hevwalker and scramping! But all too soon we had to get going.
Our aim was to clear out as many caches between Millicent and Tantanoola. All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

30,906. Found with minniek, albida33, Sol de lune, smittengranny (signing either as FAMSS or MAFSS to save room and just for fun). After the hordes around Rutherglen it was good to drop down to a group of 5.
Rutherglen Mega and South Australia Trip Day 10. Today was another great day for our little group - the last day the 5 of us will cache together for a while - caching around the Millicent region. We finished up chasing higher D/T caches, as well as some great forest drives and other caches along the way. Awesome. Quick find once at GZ. Signed, replaced, then we headed off to the next one.
Thanks GeoVenture2020 !!

Southern Autumn adventure Day 11. Post Mega South East SA trip Day 5. Today was the last day with our team all together Fitzy_1965, Albida33, MinnieK, Sole de Lune & Smitten Granny and logs were signed as FAMSS or similar. We went to the south of Millicent to target some high D/T caches and some interesting clusters of caches on forests. After a wet few days, the weather was much better and we had a great time. We ended the day with a meal together in one of the Millicent Hotels and a cache just outside the door of the pub.

Day 3 of the 5 amigos caching in this area. A much more relaxed start to the day - it was agreed on 9 am as some of the group were catching up with a couple of local geobuddies.
Today we were targeting caches in Tantanoola so we gathered some high D/T caches and some that filled a calendar for some. This was one of the caches we found and our initials were added to the log. As "we" included minniek, Albida33, Fitzy_1965, Sol de Lune and myself Smittengranny logs were signed as MAFSS or FAMSS

After the Rutherglen mega, fitzy_1965, albida33, minniek, Smittengranny and myself headed to the Mount Gambier / Millicent region to tackle some of the caches from the Millicent mega that we couldn't get to.
Now onto day 3 of our run around the area and we started the day with a trip to Tantanoola, finding caches along the way, in town and then around the forests and back roads.
Many thanks to all the CO's for the caches and for the fun we had finding them.

We found this cache today on our Millicent Meander - Day 1 in company of Maccamob, BecknMonts, McLookers, Alansee, and Muzza. Now onto the southern side of Millicent. Thanks from D & HA B-A
Found with a team consisting of BecknMonts, McLookers, Maccamob, Rabbitto, and Muzza. The day turned out to be better than expected and the caching was good too. Many thanks to the CO's for the placements.
Over in SA again with a cut down group of geocaches compared to last time. We felt it was time this group of Victorians found some Millicent caches, as we were banned from the mega! We are signing the logs as Vic1. Thanks for the sometimes challenging caches GeoVenture2020!
Today was day 1 of a Millicent blitz with McLookers, Alansee, BeckNmonts, Maccamob and Rabbitto, all signed as Vic1.

In the Millicent area for a few days, we are signing the logs as Vic1. Had a stick so got the job done. Thanks for placing the cache GeocachingSA.

Once again teamed up with Sebastbat, Jack, **JEM**, and Froghoppin, for an assault on the cache map around the much awaited GeoVenture 2020 Joined some Missfits and Mystery Randoms at times during the day too, and took off on our own down all sorts of tracks and byways.
Apologies for some almost generic logs today, it's a lot to get logged on a night when we miss an hour's sleep LOL But we certainly had a lot of fun finding each and every cache !
We poked the little bear.
Thanks for putting this cache out on the SE SA geomap GeoVenture2020

All our Geocaches are located and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck!
---
Please do stay safe when caching.
Lookout for mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure Travel Bugs are the only bugs you share and pass on
We really appreciate all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside,
it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting

Finally in Millicent for GeoVenture 2020 and now exploring this amazing Wattle Range.

Down the Highway and byways, tracks and trails, the geological, historical, the fun geocaches, traveling this great country through the eyes of a geocacher has lead us to some fantastic outlooks.
Thanks to all the COs for placing these Geocaches, it makes the Adventure more interesting.
We found your cache container, a nice quick find, and with signing duties done and dusted we replaced it as found.
Now Ready for GeoVenture 2020 in Millicent, SA.

Taking a bit of a wander around Tantanoola this afternoon with ilook4geo, despite it being very cold with a strong, blustery wind. Found enough caches to keep us happy and each log was stamped with both names before being put back as it had been found.
Thanks go to CEX (cabbos, earthlight, The X-Trailers) for placing this cache.

Caching around Tantanoola but not really enjoying the cold, windy day. Did enjoy the caches found, signed the logs and replaced as found. Haven't found caches in this area before. TFTC.
Yes we forgot the stick, lucky we had a good sized pencil on board. Thanks for the cool cache.
Today is our tird day exploring the geoart and many other caches as we wander around the area. Again, a good variety of hides and terrian's. We replaced two log sheets that were so wet they were just mush. No nasty critters were seen today. SL TFTC
The great Southeast Saunter with Anymules down to the Millicent area to find caches associated with the postponed GV2020 mega. But with leave organized and accommodation booked the caching trip was not postponed! [^]
Day 9: It looks like the rain and drizzle had finally cleared and it was time to go and clear the other caches near Millicent that we hadn't yet found and complete the GV2020 series Knowing where some of the GV2020 were placed this was to be 'waders' day.
We forgot to bring a Stick but didn't have to look too far away to get the cache in hand.
***Thanks GeoVenture2020 for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***
Logs prepared and published through GSAK.

Today I teamed up with alysse14, erine14, CPwanderer, Gizmo's Gang, clare007 and locus cache to go and find all of the challenge caches with a few others thrown in before we all went our separate ways. [^] The day started off cold and foggy with some misty rain but by the end of the day it was raining pretty much non stop and we got very wet. It was still a fun day caching and I ended up with 46 finds.
I had a pretty good idea of what this one would be and I was right. We managed to get the log without too much trouble.

Found during a fun day out caching in the rain with Erine14 and JJ52. We met up with CPWanderer, Clare007, Gizmo’s Gang, Locuscache and Marcus to complete the challenge series, for which Erine14 and I only qualify for 4 so far, but working on the rest!
After the challenge series Erine14, JJ52 and I went off together and found some around Millicent and Tantanoola, ending the day with 33 loggable finds for the day Not bad considering the weather, and we got some good DT combinations! Thanks to everyone for their cache placement and maintenance.

Huge day out with the hound finding caches around Millicent and Mount Burr. Geohusband had to work so reassessed my plan as now the hound was in tow. He had already been out hunting for 2 hours before we left the farm so was already pretty tired. He was then super excited about the road trip and wore himself out even more before we started finding caches.
He loved his day and apart from a scary moment when he got bitten by something (thinking bull ant) on his paw he had a most excellent time. We found 40 caches and enjoyed the celebration event (Rex had burger and donut scraps). He was still puffed on Sunday night.
We found some really cool caches and thank all the CO and especially the Mega committee for all their splendid efforts. We love country caching.
Had the required stick it was a bit too long but made it work. TFTC

Didn't need to bring our own TOTT for this one. Convenient natural TOTT nearby that matched the cache title.

There is at least two of this type of cache in adelaide. quick find.
Heading down to Mount Gambier with Mogni for the weekend and lucky for us we both had the Friday off as well. We stopped to get a few new release cache since the last trip, clear some dnf's off and grab some off the highway stray caches plus find a puzzle and a multi cache needed by me on this calendar day.

This weekend, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed to Glencoe and Mount Gambier for some scuba diving, 4WD and geocaching/sightseeing adventures. Saturday was spent cave diving, Sunday was used to dive Ewens Ponds and 4WD along the southen coast from Port MacDonnell to Blackfellows Caves, while Monday we drove back to Adelaide via Millicent, Southend, Beachport, and Cape Jaffa. A busy long weekend in the south-east.
Today, following a few cave dives near Tantanoola, we had a few hours of remaining light to find a few geocaches in the area. We called into Tantanoola to see the famous tiger, but the pub appears to still be closed, perhaps due to COVID-19 concerns? We then went north/east into the pine forestry area, and completed the *Story Book Cache* (SBC) series, before returning to Glencoe for the evening.
It looks like this was a new geocache since my previous trip to the south-east three months ago, so made a stop here. I do recall this little field puzzle being a trademark [@Freddo](http://coord.info/PR8C14) cache. Luckily, we found a nearby stick, as we had forgotten our usual stick back in Adelaide. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks GeoVenture2020 committee for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Tackled 11 caches then it started pouring so it was play time over for today.

Check out the event page and our website for new details. We would love to see you at this three day event. Mega event sponsored by Wattle Range Council, Geocaching.com and many other supporters. Lots of caches to find including two classic geo art trails.

A day trip to Carpenters Rocks was our goal today and grabbing a few caches while we were at it.
This was our second find, and we enjoyed finding something a little different for a change
Many thanks for the hide GeoVenture2020

Heading to Mt Gambier to catch up with family today...
scramping followed me around the corner to this cache...
We did not bring a stick but found something that worked just as well close to GZ...
Wipes and hand sanitiser were used in the retrieval of this cache...

First to find on the 11th of March 2020.
We spoke softly and we had a stick friend. We had all sorts of ideas on what to expect here, we were ready to travel to the centre of the earth or to the moon and back. So many ideas, so many wrong ideas it seems in the end.
We trusted the D/T rating which was very trustworthy, phew.
Always having as much gear as we can cram in the back of the car, we were confident we would have the requirement covered.
Only thing we can think to say about sticks is to share a nice sticky rice recipe ....
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups glutinous (sweet) rice
1 1/3 cups well-stirred canned unsweetened coconut milk
1/3 cup plus 3 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted lightly
1 large mango, peeled, pitted, and cut into thin slices (at least 24)
PREPARATION
In a bowl wash rice well in several changes of cold water until water is clear. Soak rice in cold water to cover overnight.
Drain rice well in a sieve. Set sieve over a large deep saucepan of simmering water (sieve should not touch water) and steam rice, covered with a kitchen towel and a lid, 30 to 40 minutes, or until tender (check water level in pan occasionally, adding more water if necessary).
While rice is cooking, in a small saucepan bring 1 cup coconut milk to a boil with 1/3 cup sugar and salt, stirring until sugar is dissolved, and remove from heat. Keep mixture warm.
Transfer cooked rice to a bowl and stir in coconut-milk mixture. Let rice stand, covered, 30 minutes, or until coconut-milk mixture is absorbed. Rice may be prepared up to this point 2 hours ahead and kept covered at room temperature.
While rice is standing, in cleaned small pan slowly boil remaining 1/3 cup coconut milk with remaining 3 tablespoons sugar, stirring occasionally, 1 minute. Transfer sauce to a small bowl and chill until cool and thickened slightly.
To serve, mold 1/4 cup servings of sticky rice on dessert plates. Drizzle desserts with sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Divide mango slices among plates.
Mmmm, nothing like a nice recipe.
Thanks GeoVenture2020 for the cache. Found it, signed it and replaced safe and sound as found. TNLN
