#14,114. Over in Australia to attend the Leap Day Mega event. Looking forward to having 10 days of geocaching around Adelaide and a road trip back to Melbourne. The day after the Mega event Infoferret and I decided to spend the day doing adlabs and mopping up some solved puzzles and multis in the general region of the Mega. IF had solved this one before the trip over to Oz. Parked nearby and soon spied the cache. Thanks Freddo for hiding it here.
1 March 2024 10:33 TFTC Freddo the Non Believer for placing this cache, number 13473 for me.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. Date: February 29, 2024 Time: 12:12 PMFind #14715Adventured today with beckNmonts, Earthbound Chief and Team_Crumble. A fabulous leap forward pretty much all day.Massive thanks go to Freddo the Non Believer for placing this one. ??
On a mission today! I flew into Adelaide this morning for the mega event and decided it was a special day... well, it is special as it only comes around once every 4 years! Due to this, I decided that I would attempt to collect 1 of each type of cache possible.I managed to collect 11 different types in total, including an adventure lab. Some were easy, and others were hard.I managed to find the required information for this one and did some quick calculations. With some coordinates in hand, I made my way to GZ and made a quick find. Signed the log and headed off to the next cache on the list! Thanks for the cache ??
Today we found Used 2B a Church Micro #0150 - York on our travels. On a brief visit to Adelaide for Leaping Forward so many caches, not enough time! Thanks Freddo for being part of our geocaching fun.
Visiting Adelaide with Wyrm77 to attend the Great Leap Forward Mega Event. With the 29th of February finally hear, the personal challenge was set to find 11 different cache types for the day. This cache was type 8 of 11 found today. After collecting the necessary info at the old church, it was a quick drive to the GZ to grab the cache. TFTmultiC. TNLN. On a Leap Forward hunting expidition with DiMorgan. Another great day for caching. ?? TFTC Freddo
Thank you for this Multi, Freddie. I am delighted to find it as part of my (hopeful) 11 cache types on Leap Day; I had already found a Multi 4 years ago but 11 caches wouldve icing on the cake ! Info obtained quickly& cache only a short distance away.
Out for a bit of a stroll during the mega event.Just as I arrived, I noticed a very suspicious looking vehicle idling nearby. Of course, they were geocaches. We chatted for a bit, and then raced each other to the final. Where we chatted some more.I always love meeting, geocachers out on the trail!
Over from WA for the Leap Day Mega now Out and about grabbing what caches we can. Back in the day religion was everything now take it or leave itTFTC
Thanks for placing this cache here for us to enjoy. worked out the coordinates to the cache then made the find between a working muggle.

TFTC Freddo your cache Used 2B a Church Micro #0150 - York that we found today. At the Leap Forward Mega , some new caches and an Adventure Lab. After welcomes and catching up with friends we went out to find some caches we aimed to get 10 different types in the day. We achieved that and added another 7 to our multi count. A great day to be caching.Find Count: 18586 .
Found by Mary and David at 15:15. Always glad to have check sums to remove any doubt. A pity that the new owners ground down the foundation stone. Our thanks to Freddo.
I've been looking forward to this day for a very long time. Not only is it a chance to earn a souvenir or obtain the "Feb 29" addons on my project-gc stats...It's the day of "The Great Leap Forward" mega event!!! (GCA1DNA).I've never been to a mega before. So I am glad this day is finally here!I'm aiming to grab each type of cache and each cache size to obtain the project-gc addons. I also need a challenge cache, a field puzzle, a D5 and a T5.Thankfully, half of them were published at the mega event site. That made it super easy.GooseyC and I took a brain break from the mega to go get some other required caches in the area.We pulled up to the given waypoint and crunched the numbers. Then another figure appeared. A cacher? Maybe.Sometimes, it's just some rando walking past. Thankfully, I was wrong. OzGuff was the legend amongst us here. We went to the final and look! There's OzGuff! What's he doing here?We had a chat and signed the log then went onwards. Nice to have made a new friend. Thanks Freddo for this multi cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 4021 on the 29th of February 2024.
Adelaide Day 4Now camped at the West Beach Park to attend the Leap Day Event.Once again I was caching with Wallaston.Today the was the day for the great Leap foreward Event. We did 2 events, multi ALs plus a variety of other types of caches. It was a great day for caching. Thanks Freddo for hiding this cache.
A nice quick multi to slip into the find list while out and about with Firesafe and NurseyJulie. We grabbed the pre-requisite information and calculated the final location, before heading off to find a suitable place to park for the grab. A short walk to GZ where NJ soon had the cache in hand and added our names to the log.Cheers Freddo.
#2880 This is my day 270, and the longest physical cache find streak so far. I want to see how far I go. I am on a family vacation in Australia. After visiting Brisbane and Tasmania, now we are in South Australia.Today is the leap day, and I am attending [The Great Leap Forward Mega Event](https://coord.info/GCA1DNA) and finding caches in Adelaide.A quick multi after [The Side Event](https://coord.info/GCAH07T). I think I got 11 types in one day My new record.Thank you for the cache!-crystaloops from Taipei, Taiwan @ February 29, 2024 20:12:52
After 16 years of caching the time has come to tick off a mega. After arriving late last night into Adelaide I was up early with a mission to collect as many cache types as were available today. I headed into town before the event in the hope to pick up the web cam caches and a sprinkling of others to set me up for the rest of the day. Finding a safe place to park I was soon at ground zero and the prize was quickly obtained. Now off to enjoy more of what Adelaide has to offer and tick a few boxes along the way.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this available to be found.Cheers
Out and about with sir_spectre grabbing a few caches might distract us when we are close to the upcoming Mega. Thanks to Freddo from mogni
Quick solve/find. This series is endless, another one downFound with Mogni. Today started with a CITO event in Mawson lakes and then moving on to completing a couple of adventure labs and then on to the target area for the day. That area was the general area around the Mega site and the nearby mega CITO site. It was just slowly clearing the solved puzzles, trads and solving/finding the multi's. A early finish to caching saw only 40 + finds for the day even if we had a few DNF's. At least that area is thinned of unfound caches and lab stages, hopefully we will have some spare time to finish the area off before the mega.
Found it Went to an old church, found some numbers, it took me to a cache, found the cache. aka the coloured mint tin by the sea peopleaka Minty ManTFTC
I was a little bit early for the event just down the road so I found this cache just before it. TFTC Freddo
The Tuesday Trekking for members of the Befuddled Puzzle Solving got delayed due to expected storms and we went for a Wednesday Wander instead. As usual the group was in search of solved puzzles and anything else coming into view. I picked up S.A. Sewer Rat from the rat's nest, found a few on the way to Blackadders den and he jumped in. [^] Then we made our way down the Port and started heading south. We met up with Astro around grange and continued southwards. Not all of us required every cache so here are the caches I was able to put my name in the log.
I had some numbers. All I needed was to find the cache. So I walked to GZ and soon had the cache in hand.
***Thanks Freddo for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Data collection was straightforward and we soon had coordinates consistent with the checksums. Then it was a short distance to GZ where accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Freddo for the cache.
You don't want to make a Maltese cross...
Good to see the building had many uses.
Bless you Freddo for hiding this cache on our SA geo map game board

Most Geocaches are located and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck!
---
Please do stay safe when caching.
Lookout for mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins... but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure Travel Bugs are the only bugs you share and pass on
We really appreciate all those placing quality caches out and about especially away from the city crowds,
it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting

Had to take a crook muggle mate shopping so the proximity of the GZ was helpful! Thanks for the hide!
Found it. First multi cache found in year 2021.
This afternoon, I went to Woodville South for business, and I made a tiny detour to find this cache, on my way home.
Parked next to the Church, and got the information required.
Drove to the final location, which is not far away. And found the cache easily.
Took nothing, left nothing. Signed the log book, and placed it back.
Thanks for the cache, Freddo.

This evening, I decided to head to Adelaide's north-east and north collecting various geocaches whilst targeting a few key geocaches with high D/T. I initially headed out north-east towards Brompton and Woodville , and then from there, headed north to Wingfield to find some puzzle caches, and then returned via Churchill Road to stop at an Adventure Lab Location. A nice warm evening to be out and about.
Another textbook example of an Adelaide *Used 2B a Church Micro* micro-cache. A visit to the posted coordinates and admiration of the ex-church, before quickly finding the needed information, grabbing digits, having the checksum agree, and then making the short drive to GZ. I did need to park in a questionable spot to grab this cache, but at least it was found rather quickly. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Freddo the Non-Believer for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Still not quite sure what happened today[?] as I needed either 6 or 7 caches for the day and yet somehow didn't leave home until about 10pm
That meant a mad rush to get the required number of finds before midnight[^]
It was such a lovely night though[:X][^] that once I had my numbers, I kept on caching until I found the last cache at 2:59am[|)][^] 13 cache finds all up![^][^] Then it was home to sleep[|)][^] for both Rex and I[|)][^][|)]

Just enough time left to squeeze in a multi on my way home. Even though it’s a dull afternoon, East Tce looks great with all the jacarandas in bloom.
Part of my childhood was spent in nearby Kilkenny, and prior to that, Yorkshire, and I had no idea that this part of Adelaide was once called York. My take-home fact for today.
Not a long walk to the final. I’m wondering what the significance of the augmentation on the cache is about?!

Out this morning to find a few caches in the Shepherds Hill Recreation Park and Watiparinga Reserve areas.

The required information was quickly gathered and final coordinates calculated. Then it was a quick find at GZ.

A quite place today. Lots of cars around. You know they say - just because you go to a garage you don’t have to be a car.

Stopped off at this Used 2B on my way to a netball match. Found the numbers, did the sums then a short drive and I was at GZ where I found a very familiar cache container, although this one had a nice decoration. Stamped the log and I was on my way.
Thanks for the cache Freddo.

Headed out to the western suburbs today for a grab bag of multis, whereigo, trads and labs. All bar one of the caches were in the Charles Sturt Council areas and I was impressed with the quality of their reserve upgrades...leaves a lot of other Council areas to shame. But anyway, I digress. All caches were in good condition and found within reasonable search times thanks to good coordinates. TFTC
Stopped by the listed coordinate to grab some digits, then a short drive to GZ where an easy find was made. #NLAMT. After 13 months of work, this find finishes off my Multi calendar! Woo Hoo! For that, and the decoration on it, I’ll forgive the container type. Just this time mind you.

With a few caches closer to home popping up like mushrooms i thought... "better get to them, before the proverbial grass gets too high", lol
Started the day with this Multi. Arrived at the listed co-ords and jotted down the number. With the calculations done i was off to GZ to make a quick find of a well disguised cache with its surroundings.

Having mucked up a previous church micro, Owl started this one with some trepidation. However, all fears were groundless. the numbers were crunched and the cache found exactly where she thought it might be.

With the WFH thing it has taken a while for the opportunity to get round to this one and make the find. This morning, a small detour was made on the way to work. Stopped at the listed coords, gathered some numbers, did the calculations, got the coordinates, checksum agrees, phew.
Then off to GZ and a quick find of a cute container which was taken for a short walk to stamp the log and reassemble and then a quick replace back in its hide. Even though it was morning peak it was easy to time the grab and replace in between car groups.
It is amazing just how many Used 2Bs there are. Keep em coming.

I ran the numbers on my lunch break and took an early minute to reach this one in daylight. Could see I missed silver as I recognized a number plate leaving the Carpark. Still, I am happy with bronze. Thanks for the cache Freddo
Yay. {FTF}. 8.00pm. Where is everyone ?? Saw this published this afternoon before I left for work. As I was already running a tad late, I had no choice but to leave.
