Caravan trip to the Riverland. Day 7, Berri walking tour.Searched the area, found the toy lizard, but no container. Have placed temporary container until CO can do maintenance.I doubt the veracity of Shallowboy's recent find... all their finds actually - we have seen their name online for many caches, but have yet to see their name in a log book.TFTC
DNFC snap snap lurking … but cache did not surface. Will Farewell Berri later today
I was very short for time, but after completing the nearby Adventure Lab I ran up onto the bridge to grab this one. Hint made for a very quick find. Tftc and nice view of the flooded river!
While travelling through the area we picked up a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
A nice walk to GZ, Murry is flowing very quickly! Caches and contents were very good.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

This long weekend, I and J plus the little one visited riverland. We spent two and a half days, visited Nuriootpa, Barmera, Berri, Loxton, Renmark, SA/VIC border, Waikerie, Morgan, and nearby towns. On the trip, we found 55 caches on the way, including Traditional Cache, Puzzle Cache, Multi Cache, Wherigo Cache, Letterbox Hybrid Cache, and Lab Adventure caches.
This was the 23rd find for the trip. Found in Berri, after completed the nearby Lab Adventure Caches. While J and the little one were playing the piano under the bridge, I went up to the bridge to find this cache. It was a nice and easy find, especially with the help of hint.
Signed the log book, and re-hid it.
Nice view from the bridge.
Thanks for the cache, lizard6429.

Continuing our trip from Melbourne to Darwin and back, we are now on our way back home and we are staying at Kingston On Murray for a couple of days to investigate Bamera, Loxton, Berri and Renmark (maybe). A bit of a change after spending the last several weeks in the arid conditions of Central Australia. I also took the opportunity to grab several caches around the area. Today we went to Berri and Renmark to see what sights were around.
Walked up from the car park below for a quick find, great view up here.

A nice walk up onto the bridge with a beautiful view of the river. Nearby a paddle steamer was getting some repairs. Good to see history being preserved.

Border hopping weekend day #1:
This pineapple took an earlier shift at work today to be able to have time to collect some caches and adventure labs between Adelaide and Berri before the dinner event. With a few caches collected after the event as well.
I can only stay the weekend due to work, one night in Berri and one in Mildura. So I'm doing as many caches as I can inbetween events... so many caches and so little time.
On one side there was a cache... on the other was a giant red back spider. Be careful where you put your hands.
Cache retrieved and signed with stamp.
99 total finds for the trip. 42 traditionals, 2 multis, 7 mysteries, 3 virtuals, 2 letter boxes, 1 EarthCache, 3 community celebration events, 1 event and 1 CITO. As well as 37 Adventure Lab locations.
Thanks lizard6429 for this cache.
This cache brings Goldy's total find count to 1470.

A nice easy cache that dalerious and I grabbed on our way to our accommodation in Renmark. Thank you lizard6429 for a lovely spot to grab a cache at night .
The Trip
We talked about planning this odyssey months ago, but put the finishing touches to the plan in the last couple of weeks.
We were hoping to undertake two challenges. One was to log a cache in as many counties in Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales as we possibly could, as well as logging caches that were placed on the pages of the UBD Victorian Road Atlas as well.
dalerious got to work strategically picking caches that we needed. No easy task, but he is so adept at it. I get the car and supplies ready, and drive.
We had only 2 full days to do all this in, as well as an event to attend to in Mildura.
Quite an ask, but yet again dalerious and I not only marked of all the caches we had on our list, but we were lucky enough to add more.
We had an awesome time away travelling around hop, skipping and jumping from one state to the next. With the exception of hitting one Kangaroo, no damage to the Hilux or us thank goodness, I loved driving around this beautiful area.
Next big trip Tasmania........ Bring it on!

Having just found the two oldest caches in SA, we came back to this one for the last cache of day for one find in "Unincorporated SA" just in case we failed at the Dork Trap in the morning.
Leaving our overnight accomodation in Horsham early Friday morning, we continued our loopy loop trip from Tatura to a Community Celebration Event in Mildura. While Berri would seem a little out of the way, catnap777 and I were chasing caches in different counties and road map pages for challenges so we travelled as far West as Bordertown before taking a right to Loxton and Renmark to get there. From Mildura it was then down to Ouyen and home via SwanHill in time for work Sunday arvo. We even tickled the tip of Victoria by finding its Northern most cache along the way which was another highlight for both of us. [^]
TFTC lizard6429. By hunting your cache by torchlight, we were gifted an uncommon view of Berri and Mighty Murray.

Owl and Eagle were in the Riverland for s partially-government-funded weekend. Eagle was determined to explore some of the towns they had missed on a prior ill-fated boat trip. Owl was equally determined to find as many caches as she could. This cache fortunately fulfilled both requirements. A quick find meant plenty of time to admire the view.,
After a weekend at the Bathurst 6 Hour it was time to head home grabbing some caches along the way TFTC

Today we made our way around the river land checking out some of the tourist sights with the main goal to get to MacCabe Corner and a stop at the brewery plus find a few caches along the way.

Adelaide and South Australia Trip Christmas 2021/2022. Day 16. The next phase of my journey is underway. I am in Loxton. I was with Fitzy_1965, MinnieK, Sol de Lune and Smitten Granny to attempt to finish the On You Bike where-i-go caches. We have managed to solve them all before we arrived. Day 6 in the River land. As we had accomplished the On your Bike caches, the others headed back east to stop at Mildura for the paddle steamer caches, but I am based in Adelaide at the moment, so could not go. I spent the day out and about collecting caches in the region before heading to Lake Bonny and then Berri, finishing the day in Katarapko National park.
This trip to Loxton had been a year coming as I had missed out last year due to other commitments. The group had increased and the target list of caches was much higher. It had been a group effort to deal with all the jigsaw puzzles and then the Reverse Where-i-gos were sorted out with the various online tools. The trip was looking at risk as the COVID situation stretched and stretched, but at least SA kept to its plans to open the borders and we all jumped through the hoops required to get across the border. The weather was looking extreme as the journey approached and it did not disappoint. The daytime temps were from 36-42 over the days of this exercise and it made for some hard work and lots of water usage.
Thanks for the cache lizard6429

Out for a days adventure with Mattycat, with the weather being a bit ordinary down south we chose to visit the North east before long we found ourselves in the riverland, a detour for lunch and some caches to finish off, this one was a quick find for us today after a short stroll up the bridge
TFTC lizard6429
TFTC lizard6429
The weather down in Adelaide and even home in the Barossa looked a little grey this morning, so when I teamed up with froghoppin we decided to head East into the sunshine and cachiness!
A bit of deja vu as we walked out onto the bridge!
Drove past all those bicycle caches to some challenges then sought lunch in Loxton where more green boxes on the map distracted us. Turned out there were some Berri good ones just up the road too, so wandered up to that river town to resolve some unfound marks on the map...
ah yes... we did start with a plan. Back to the plan a, b, c or whatever...
As it says on the frog's covid mask... not all who wander are lost
( Matty's just said "ewww people" [xx(] )
So back to the West we headed and cycled our way through some caches - some up some down some all around... A little cache creep here and there, a damp log there and here but all were [:(!] and easy to spot! Some tools were deployed. The wheelchair* got lost in a bush at a "T1" cache. Much frivolity was had
*** * Note to cachers with wheelchairs. Many of the "T1" caches must have been placed with the aid of a monster truck lifted 4wd version of a wheelchair. Unless you have a good personal alarm system, or a good buddy, do not attempt these caches in a standard wheelchair !!!!! (or have very good insurance!) ***
Overall a good day out with a bit of exercise and a stretch here and there [:o)]
Much thanks to lizard6429 for hiding this cache on our SA geo map game board
I spoke to the Lorax who speaks for the trees,
He still don’t like all the caches up these.
They stuff up the trees and they stuff up the bush
And have quite a good chance that you'll land on your tush!
It isn't the height or the gear that you need
But rather the damage by cachers indeed.
The trees get quite bruised and battered and worn
Leaving all of the wildlife rather forlorn.
So next time you're hiding a cache right out here
Make it one I can sign while I'm holding my beer.
An ammo can, tupperware, under a bush
Will still make me smile and not land on my tush!
(Apologies to the Cat in the Hat!) Mattycat

Most Geocaches are located and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck!
---
Please do stay safe when caching.
Lookout for mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins... but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure Travel Bugs are the only bugs you share and pass on
We really appreciate all those placing quality caches out and about especially away from the city crowds,
it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting

Third find on my free time in Berri. A vet pleasant walk to this mighty river and quite spectacular bridge. Just as well I know the strength is in the flexibility because my shoulder is getting s good massage as I write this leaning against the handrail and trucks cross the bridge! Top view from here too! TFTC
Nice easy find while holidaying in the area - no cows plenty of birds and an awesome view SLTFTC
Been to Dayboro from Cairns to attend the Mega event now on the way to South Australia. 24 April 2021 1:53 pm Tyfc lizard6429 2033
With 4MOULE crossing the border having a few days off we teamed up to grab some of the new caches near us.
A good day out grabbing these caches
Thanks lizard6429 for placeing them

What a great spot for a cache. We quickly found it then wandered ahead a little to take in the view.

It was a nice walk and great views at gz! Honeysucker spotted the cache as we arrived. With it signed and taking in more views we then headed off to find some more geocaches in the area. Thanks for placing this here.
Spending a couple of days camping and exploring the beautiful Riverland. Perfect sunny weather for it. The roads are a little quieter now Easter weekend is finished.
After completing the Adventure Lab caches, I walked a little further to grab this cache. It is amazing how much the bridge moves when a road train thunders by.
Thanks for the cache lizard6429.

A plan was made for a group of us, (mogni, sir_spectre, allister w, BratKat and myself) to head over to Mildura for the long weekend as the borders are now open and we wouldn't have to quarantine on the way back. [^]
Two of us spent a long time solving all the puzzles in the Turtle and Paddle Steamer series along with the other puzzles around Mildura, but they were put away waiting for the time when we could get over to find the caches.
We had a very busy weekend and managed to find all of the Turtle and Paddle Steamer caches along with some of the high favourited caches, an Adventure Lab, one night cache, quite a few gadget caches and a couple of water caches...and then we ran out of time.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had a great time finding lots of different caches and we will have to make a return trip to find those that we didn't get around to.
All caches stamped "Mystery Randoms"
Stopped here to stretch our legs on the way through and had a short walk to get to GZ where the cache was quickly found. [^]

An easy find with a nice view, so nice that I think this is where our next family holiday will be.

After an 18 month geocaching hiatus, this March long weekend I tagged along with Mogni, Sir Specture, JJ52 and Allister (caching as the Mystery Randoms) to conquer the Mildura Paddle Steamer and Turtle. We were lucky to encounter good weather, fine caches and a lot of red dust! Many thanks to 4Moule and the Mildura caching community for creating an entertaining geo-destination. TFTC! See you again soon.

A long weekend with a big plan. A group attack on the powertrails near Mildura. Two of us solved all the puzzles and then covid hit so they got put into the get around to it one day basket... Covid back under control so a plan was hatched to go interstate for the first time in over a year and be allowed to return without having to isolate for 2 weeks. Joined up with sir_spectre, JJ52, Allister W and Bratkat. We cached as the mystery randoms which suited us while well. Both powertrails were found and we managed to grab a few others while travelling around. I am usually a regular visitor Mildura but it had been a couple of years between trips. I am sure we will all be back to complete the many great caches we researched but din't have time to find. Thanks for a great weekend.

quick find
A group of South Australians jumped to border in to Victoria for the long weekend. The group was Allister W, JJ52, Mogni, Sir_spectre, and BratKat. All logs stamped as " Mystery Random's ". We left Adelaide and headed over to Mildura. The target for the puzzlers was to clear the highway caches then complete the " Turtle series " and the " Paddle Steamer series " since they had solved all the puzzles before coming over. My target was the D5/T5 underwater field puzzle and also hoping to get up to 13000 finds this trip ( that was achieved ). Once those goals where filled we mainly targeted caches with high favourite points and started on the many multi's that are in Mildura. I highly enjoyed the field puzzles and themed caches from the locals and sorry to say that we only did 1 of the night caches. On the 2nd night after doing 356 caches during the day it bucketed down that night and we had a beer/wine or two instead. We will be back, maybe not this year, but it will be the sooner, not later.

Found with the JAMS crew and stamped Mystery Randoms. On our way to Mildura for a weekend of caching. TFTC
