Have been keeping an eye on this one for a while, the CO hasn't logged on since 23 March 2008, probably time for it to go...

10-Feb-12
2nd try at finding this one with extra eyes, no luck, I don't think it is here anymore

19-Jan-12
Please check if it is still there as it has not been found since October 24th, 2010. Thank you.

28-Dec-11
Searched all over, using the clue and Nib's corrected co-ords, even going as far as 20 metres elevation as we widened our search [8].
Read through all the logs and rechecked the place others said it should be, but to no avail Sad.
We think it's gone [xx(].
Can a previous finder (or the cache owner) confirm if it's still there [?].
An area truly deserving of a cache [^].
Thanks for showing us this place Northern Invaders.

Searched for ages and did lots of climbing - found Holy Rocker but no sign of cache.

20-Mar-11
Rapid Bay didn't like us today 0/2 then the rain came. Maybe next time?

04-Mar-11
Rock with hole bush, lots of nasty prickles but no cache. Twisted
Dont like heights at all but access to this is OK if you take your time. [?]
Based on all the clues and 30 Min with two of us searching, this does not appear to be there.
Will watch with interest...Returning another day to grab a smiley.

25-Jan-11
I am sure that I "got' the hint, but just couldn't find it... grrr. Very nice location though.

03-Nov-10
Yes, I failed again after spending ages there.. I think the terrain should be more than 2... Sad Thanks for the hint.

24-Oct-10
It was a bit hard to find...was going to give up but finally found it!! Smile

Tried night before but it was too dark. what a great spot on such a great day
all items apart from pencil and paper were gone so took nothing but left a car and a necklace charm

A couple of days cacheing down south after our Bali trip - enjoyed the green countryside and beautiful coastal views. Lovely walk along the beach to the caves, but couldn't quite decide which 'president' to check. TFTC

18-Oct-10
Cool location, had much fun while searching - but didn't spot the cache.

07-Sep-10
GPSr was very flaky and couldn't get a good fix. Had a good look where I think the GPSr was trying to tell me it was. Being on my own I wasn't to keen on climbing to high in case I slipped so walked back with a DNF after about 15 minutes. A very nice walk early this morning anyway.

24-Apr-10
Wow, I didn't realise how old this cache was until just now. I have to say that this is an oldie but a goodie.

And it wasn't until I was walking away from the cache that I worked out what the signs scattered along the cliff face meant.

Thanks for the cache Northern Invaders.

10-Apr-10
What a gusty day it was and the sea looked very irritated. The other caves were worth a long exploratory look. Great clues, I am grateful that my partner was able to climb; he looked like a very large goat climbing up and down the rocky cliff. LOL loved it!!!

26-Mar-10
Tough for 2 stars. Children wanted to climb cliff also:)

01-Mar-10
Found at 2.05pm after trying to fish at Rapid Bay with "Are We There Yet!" but foiled by STRONG winds, so we went geocaching instead. This is a tricky one because the ground level showed as 11m above sea level, so we didn't really know where to look for a few minutes. The clue helped and soon the cache was in the hands of "Are We There Yet!" and I followed to sign as well. TNLNSL. Thanks Northern Invaders. Great location.

20-Feb-10
This cache was recommended by Zytheran as a do for my sight-seeing trip down south out of Adelaide. Glad I did it...lots of fun. Checked out the caves too. Was going to swim but the sea was mad and it was a little too dangerous with the potential for rips. Thanks for the nice walk along the beach.

After extensive searching on the site looking only at the GPS and an encounter with a small copperhead, we finally found the cache while trying another route to our suspected location. Our own fault for not writing down the clue before heading off.
Good spot. Cheers

Sneeky, make sure you have good shoes for this one. Group effort. Great Cache thanx

I’ve had a couple of goes at this over the years, but each time my GZ has had me far in against the main rock face and I’ve concentrated my searches there. Obviously, I’ve come up blank both times. I could never work out what the second part of the hint meant and the first bit could describe a hundred places.
Today, with Auzee scouting for me from below as I scrambled all over the rocks, it was a little easier as she spotted something that had the hints making sense and guided me to it. I turned out to be the cache and was some 15m from where my instrument said it was.
I took a reading of the actual position and found that it differs from one that Four-fun supplied by only a couple of metres.
I think it’s time the coords for this were revised. Most of the finds for this have been through extensive searching and use of the hints or Four-fun’s coords. For those like me that the hints haven’t helped and who strangely rely on GPS coordinates, new ones could mean far fewer people leave the scene with DNF’s.
Having said that, I enjoyed the cache very much and the whole area is very interesting.

After a few attempts at making this a driveby, I gave in and we walked to GZ. Found after brief search. TFTC.

06-Nov-09
Found with JadedOptimists. Both o'cholios came here many moons ago (four years, in fact), long before we were caching, and actually walked around in this cave, so there was deja vu happening while searching for the cache today. Glad to make the detour today - Rapid Bay is currently a great spot that hasn't been ruined by over-development. Hope it stays that way. TFTC.

Found after much searching in areas that warranted a few more stars than the cache had been given. Thanks for taking us here, what a beautiful location!

We came to see the new Jetty and to camp at the Camp grounds, so did a few thousand other people.

Fantastic weather for the Easter weekend.

Nick and I took the head lamps onto the cave and crawled though all the small tunnels at the rear of the cave.

Cheers from the Barramundi's

Had a couple of free hours this afternoon so took a drive down to Second Valley and Rapid Bay to grab some caches.

Did the climb and found the cache easily. Don't ever remember being here before.

Grabbed the TB. TFTC.

26-Mar-09
Found the cache while geocaching with Team Waldron. Armed with a four wheel drive, four GPS units and a laptop, we had a great day searching up and down the southern coast. After lots of speculation where the cache might be, we tore up the hill (slowly) and Trail06 located the prize. (on this occasion) TFTC.

26-Mar-09
Out for the day with Trail06.

I wanted to drive all the way but Trail06 said I shouldn't.

If he says he found it he must have. He was doing all the climbing.

Geokid James and I enjoyed a good walk up the beach. Cache did not reveal itself until we turned around and headed back down. tftc

08-Feb-09
A nice leisurely stroll along the beach then head across to the cliffs, then near the cliff the GPS has a psychotic episode and wants me to go home again. Step back from cliff and acquire lock and now its up that it wants me to go, so up I go until I reach a point where I think my life is worth more than this cache. I turn around and there a few feet below me is the prise !
Ya gotta love an adventure!

This one was a little tricky to find

18-Jan-09
This was our second visit. Was here just over a year ago on a very hot day which didn't encourage a long search although we did take a while before giving up.

Nearly gave up when Mr S went a bit higher than he had before and voila!
Thanks Northern Invaders. Coming here always reminds us of a fishing/camping trip many years ago when we got very burnt and Mrs S ended up with a very large piece of the jetty under her big toe nail. Those were the days!

18-Jan-09
Had just found Norfolk with the stanleys. They had tried to one before and wanted to give it another go. They were successful this time and we were along for the ride. While I did search a bit, I had misinterpreted a note and was looking in the wrong places.

Quick find and nice cave to explore with geo son.

I think the last time we were here the limestone quarry was still working – and that wasn’t yesterday!

Found the container without a lid and the swaps from Team Wibble. Repaired the cache with Helens & Kathh with new container, log book and swaps and hid in original location.

09-Nov-08
Sad to report that we're pretty sure we found the cache, or what was left of it. Found an empty SPC fruit container with the remains of camo paint, and a couple of broken crayons and a crayon box, and nothing else. Searched around for the lid, but could not find. Popped a pencil and a couple of small swaps into the container and rehid as best we could, but it won't last long without a lid (and it has no log book).

08-Nov-08
Cache has been vandalised as per log, and currently has no lid or log book.

06-Oct-08
This was a bit scary with the howling wind and showers! Found it anyway, then had a great time exploring the entire length of the nearby large sea cave. (Or should I say the geokid and Mrs matmob did - Mr m chickened out! Wink ) Our geocaching bag always has a torch so this came in very handy here. I believe that the remains of some Aboriginal people were found in this cave years ago. It must have been a burial spot, its a shame it is being trashed with rubbish inside. Thanks for bringing us to a fun spot. TNLN.

21-Sep-08
Found it fairly easy after the walk over to GZ! Great view from GZ! Also explored the nearby cave afterwards and found that it went further back than we thought! If we had a torch we would have gone in further to see how far back it really goes.

Drove down on the Easter Saturday after a big breakfast at Mrs Parrots family place at Normanville. It's great to be staying in the area again as I have so many great memories of my youth in this spot.
Rapid Bay still remains in my memory as the prettiest jetty diving you will find anywhere in Australia. I did an absolutely fantastic night dive there and I remember turning off the torch and watching phosphor like colours flashing through the water as you moved about.
Today the campground was packed with wall to wall tents. We parked next to the grounds in a car park hemmed in with boulders and made our way 500 metres over to the rocks.
I was carrying a replacement as after all the previous logs I thought this might be a cache rescue mission.
However the co-ords where spot on for me and the first place I looked produced the cache container. I suspected someone had beaten me to replacing the cache but was delighted to find when I opened the container that it contained the original logbook.
Made a mark took some pictures and back home for a lazy day before dinner on the beach. We even had dolphins with our sunset.

The Leafy Sea Dragon.
Although I have never seen one of these at Rapid bay I have seen one while diving over at Stokes Bay on Kangaroo Island.

24-Feb-08
Took friends and even with all these eyes still couldn't find it.

24-Feb-08
Walked along the beach in the late afternoon enjoying my surrounding only to be disappointed not to find this one. Just means another trip to the beach.

24-Feb-08
Sorry to report that our trip to this spot did not come up with the goods. Checked all the george Ws with no results. Some are pretty prickly too. some have died off in the dry and this may have reduced cover. A few broken bottle bits to worry about as we scrampled. The lock wasn't great, but good enough to be pretty sure that it is gone.Despite all this it was a really intersting place to have a look at and we enjoyed the sights of the small town- a drive parallel to the beach heading north from the main rd to the beach shows of lovely quaint little places that would be great to stay in. thanks for bringing us here anyway invaders.

Years ago, when the jetty was open and camping free of charge, we used to camp here frequently.

Each time we camped, we would climb that massive cliff/hill above GZ. I had an idea to place cache up there but I guess I am 5 years too late. lol

Almost relocated the cache after finding it rolled down into a prickle bush, got it back then team R dropped their GPS into the said bush, and so we had to do a second prickly recovery. Had to get the mountain goat shoes on for this one, but was a nice walk along the beach as well.

Great location and a spot we would have never visited if it was not for the cache. After the cache we explored the cave which seems to be used by the local alcoholics.

Great walk along the beach with the GeoTerrier, but after half an hour risking falling rocks, (and falling cachers) decided it was time for a coffee.

18-Mar-07
Found this one at the end of a great day exploring the coastline by kayak with 8 others and looked after Brian & Martin from Blue Water Sea Kayaking. After 12km on the water, we must been tired because the hint was needed.

At last the conditions were favourable. Under instructions from her below I found it exactly where it should be.
We took the plastic bull and left a Klem Bear and a dolphin clip. This cache has taken us less than 5 years to locate and so we are now very pleased to say thank you Northern Invaders

I didn't want to make this harder than it should be, especially since I was in thongs. I wandered around at base level for a few minutes to plan my attack.

For one horrible moment I thought this was a DNF. GZ's on a vertical axis can be problematic. Then all I had to do was walk back and voile there it was. A good way to end the day. It's a pity we couldn't stay for a little collation on the beach with those who had set up camp there with bonfire!!

Stayed in the campgound the night beofre on a very wet & windy night, woke up this morning to excellent views and no rain for the first time in three days. After breakfast headed off to GZ ,cache was found after a short search, GPS showing about 15 meters off today
Took in some more of the scenery and headed back to the car as the rain moved in again, at least this time we managed to find one without getting wet
Thanks Northern Invaders for bringing us to this delightful place

Third time lucky! But it still took me almost an hour to locate. GPS had it 15m away. Replaced the damaged container with a slightly larger one. Should last a bit longer now! A hopefully more accurate location also listed above. Cheers.

29-May-05
Found today (without checking GPS), same place it was last September..Can't see what the problem is, maybe the nearby cliffs are causing problems?Sad When running back to carpark a single muggle (someone not holding a GPS at least) was heading north and was spied from afar to briefly climb up near the cache Surprised, but then dissappeared down into the gully. (They would have seen me near the cache from about 600m away at best.)

29-May-05
Muggle indeed [B)] Obviously the Foretrex mounted on the wrist is less obvious than the bright yellow eTrex! The coords seem to put me a few metres closer to the cave than where it was found after about 10 minutes search. Took a bear and left a crayon.

Next visitor might want to bring a spare container, the lid is getting very brittle and starting to crack. Thanks Northern Invaders. At least I got it on the 2nd go.

Arrived in the area late last night and had a quick look around to no avail.(My wife decided discression was needed when she realised I was climbing around on a cliff 10-20 meters up in the dark!) Returned today and had a good hunt high and low but unfortunately all I got was scratches from all the prickle bushes. I now understand the name - your skin needs to be made of them to resist the thorns!!!!
cheers and sorry about the DNF

Sorry but must log a no find also.
Is there a fine for driving on the beach? I saw nothing about this. Almost got bugged though.
Looked up and down but couldn't find anything at all.

17-Oct-04
Hate starting the day off with a no find, it doesn't bring hope. Luckily the rest of the day was successful.

First tried to make this into a drive by only to be informed by a local that there was a $1000 fine for driving down that end of the beach [B)] So a retreat to the carpark and down by foot. Still couldn't find it, I suspect I wasn't looking up high enough as the GPS wanted me at the bottom. Did have a bit of a look higher but to no avail.

Oh well, an excuse to revisit this nice spot I have never detoured to before!
