Well after a whirl wind tour of Tasmania to help with 3 challenges that Im working on, I got back in late Tuesday night then packed the car and headed off to SA early Wednesday morning to attend the Leap Year Mega and to also tick off some LGAs along the way as well.Well after crossing the border the other day and staying in Millicent and then Wellington last night its now time for more LGAs and head towards Cape Jervis for the night. So its LGA time and any others as I make my way Westish. After coming back on the ferry again I was on my way.A nice little town with a few old buildings.Parked on the side of the road and wandered over to the lonely grave. What a sad story about the 3 young girls and the father not finding out for awhile.Cache was soon located and my name added to the log. Thanks equipe de cing TFTC.

Goldy is on a day trip to Meadows, Strathalbyn and Langhorne Creek with a muggle friend I'm in the process of converting.

There's a few hidden dates near Strathalbyn I need for AnyMules challenge cache as well as some EarthCaches and an Adventure Lab or two.

A quick find here today. Very sad that this all happened...

Cache is all good.

Thanks equipe de cinq for this cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 2446 on the 31st of January 2023.

So another CP must do event, so of course I went a long for the fun. Unfortunately I am a little under the weather and this area was not quite as flat as I was expecting and did strain my poor cold infected lungs. But with some help from my friends I made it and got back to my car (thanks James Smile)
I will need to return for another wander to collect more caches in the area.

29-Aug-22
What a sad tragedy, that poor family. The water way is about 2 or 3 feet at the moment, a long way off flooding the vines yet but it could still be a danger to children.
We have driven past here and not realised there was a piece of local history to discover, at least now the area has got wooden posts around it there are no campers hogging the area, although the next parking area always seems busy with campers. Would have expected them to head to warmer climates this time of year though!!
Found a spot to pull off the road that didnt look too boggy and wandered over to the information plaque, had a read, found a cache and signed a log. Good strong magnet too!
Thanks equipe de cinq for the cache. TNLNSL

Today we decided that we would target the Used 2B a Road caches and the associated Roads that never were etc that are south of Strathalbyn were we are staying for the moment. We found several other odd ones, We had 1 DNF and 1 we choose not to do as we felt that it was on private property. There was dirt roads, dust, flies and mosquito's.There were a lot more walking ones today, the caches range from low low low to way up there. Most were easy to spot but there was the odd one that had us circling but we got there in the end. All the caches were in good condition and the log book/sheets are OK.

If you thought 2020 was bad, 2021 was the year that almost killed me!!!
But cats have 9 lives, and have caches to find... so on and up we go [:o)]

Found this in the company of Sebastbat and JEM as a game cache on the JLWE event. Kind of catching up on things now. The weekend was a blur, but a fun blur. and the weeks after had their challenges. Caching is a great motivator to get out and get more fit and healthy Wink

Thanks to all those who made it a fun weekend and the team behind it who made the caches possible. tftc equipe de cinq

Caches everywhere are located and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck! WinkCoolBig Grin

---

Please do stay safe when caching.
Lookout for mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]

Make sure Travel Bugs are the only bugs you share and pass on Big Grin

We really appreciate all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside,
it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting Cool

I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.

The cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.
