We are travelling from Portland Victoria to South Australia to meet up with Pprass at Point Elliot. We spent last night at Cockatoo Lake and are travelling to Langhorne Creek,After arriving in town we had enough light to take a tour around town. This was a wander from our campsite but had to send Mr Morris in for the retrieval. Thanks for contributing to our travels.
Tftc. Liked the container. Easy find from Frank Potts Reserve early in the morning.
The Finding Device was indicating that the cache was over there somewhere 1-2 metres. The_Evil_Muggle jumped into the drain then further while I read the cache description page more carefully the looked at the title of the cache and it dawned on me that it could only be one place. And it was! Thanks for the fun and a cache in a new LGA for me.

Quick find here in excellent condition. No issue with the washout... there is no need to approach from that area. Tftc
could the owner please check, I was hesitant in finding the cache as the soil under the concrete approach has been totally washed away in the last down pour and some deep cracks showing in the concrete of the approach, didn't look too safe.
Out for a days caching w Team WaldronTouring Mt Barker & the FleurieuOvercast & drizzly most of the day but we had funGreat cache, cool spotTFTC

Goldy is on a day trip to Meadows, Strathalbyn and Langhorne Creek with a muggle friend I'm in the process of converting.
There's a few hidden dates near Strathalbyn I need for AnyMules challenge cache as well as some EarthCaches and an Adventure Lab or two.
My muggle friend made the find here. Cache is all good.
Thanks equipe de cinq for this letterbox cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 2447 on the 31st of January 2023.

So another CP must do event, so of course I went a long for the fun. Unfortunately I am a little under the weather and this area was not quite as flat as I was expecting and did strain my poor cold infected lungs. But with some help from my friends I made it and got back to my car (thanks James )
I will need to return for another wander to collect more caches in the area.
Found with sir_spectre

found with mogni on route to the Come climb CP's TOWER event. I didn't find this on game day of the JLWE. Damn there is some water flowing down the drain today. Found in the first place i looked. quick find.
With the weather in my end of the Adelaide Hills being dire today, I’ve headed south. I’m not sure if Strathalbyn counts as being in the rain shadow, but the strategy is working so far.
I can’t remember what prevented me from getting to the JLWE party in 2021, but something did, and this is my first visit to Langhorne Creek since.
A quick find here, thanks equipe de cinq.

We had just finished replacing the cache and walking back to the car we were stopped by a fella who asked if we were checking out the irrigation set up, so after a short description of what geocaching was and showing him the map with all the plastic containers in the area we chatted on about the area. Apparently he owned the brewery down the road and was one of the families that have had vineyards for generations down here, pointed out that the cemetery was worth a visit to see some of the early settler families and he explained how the irrigation and the river worked. A really interesting man, it is worth stopping to chat sometimes.
Thanks equipe de cinq for another cache. Found it, signed it and replaced safe and sound as found. TNLN

Camping at Langhorne creek for a lazy weekend of R&R and of course caching. Today was our last day and we headed out to finish off a few before packing up, hooking up and heading home. This was litteraly across the road from our campsite..Its about time we found it!! TFTC
Found with JJ52 and Michells&hound on our way home from a JAMS crew caching day around Meningie. I dropped off a TB. TFTC
Another JAMS day was organised and after a very early start we all met at the Wellington ferry where we all squished into sir_spectres 4X4 to go and find some out of the way caches that you just don't get to. We started off at Malinong then headed to Meningie via a round about route, then to Narrung and back to Wellington where we separated into 2 cars again and ended the day finding a few Roads that never were around Langhorne Creek before heading home. A fun day was had with lots of laughs and plenty of excitement driving a few sandy tracks. [^]
A quick stop here as we were driving past heading home.
Thanks for the cache equipe de cinq.

Today we decided that we would target the Used 2B a Road caches and the associated Roads that never were etc that are south of Strathalbyn were we are staying for the moment. We found several other odd ones, We had 1 DNF and 1 we choose not to do as we felt that it was on private property. There was dirt roads, dust, flies and mosquito's.There were a lot more walking ones today, the caches range from low low low to way up there. Most were easy to spot but there was the odd one that had us circling but we got there in the end. All the caches were in good condition and the log book/sheets are OK.

A neat hide on our way back home from from the Grampians today. Well tucked away. Log signed TFTC!
We are wandering back from Adelaide very slowly after having a good couple of days catching up with friends. As the weather isn't too great today we have decided to concentrate on lab caches and anything else that pops up.
We saw a strange old structure at gz as we approached and we realised where the GPSr was pointing so we got to get up close and personal with it. We spotted the cache hide quickly and then had to sort out how to reach it the easiest way. Once this was sorted we were soon adding our name to the log , we then returned everything as it was.
Thanks equipe de cing, we really would like to get over for one of the JLW events.

Today headed out with The Geohusband and sister in law for caching and a visit to a winery for a tasting and a spot of lunch.
We did about 10 caches which were fun and then back home to the other sister in laws in Strath to watch the cricket.
Nice find after a glass of rose TFTC

If you thought 2020 was bad, 2021 was the year that almost killed me!!!
But cats have 9 lives, and have caches to find... so on and up we go [:o)]
Found this in the company of Sebastbat and JEM as a game cache on the JLWE event. Kind of catching up on things now. The weekend was a blur, but a fun blur. and the weeks after had their challenges. Caching is a great motivator to get out and get more fit and healthy
Thanks to all those who made it a fun weekend and the team behind it who made the caches possible. tftc equipe de cinq

Caches everywhere are located and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck!
---
Please do stay safe when caching.
Lookout for mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure Travel Bugs are the only bugs you share and pass on
We really appreciate all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside,
it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting

It looked like it was going to be great weather for caching today, so I made a late decision this morning to head out for the day.
I headed towards Milang and Langhorne Creek, also caching at Wistow, Strathalbyn and Macclesfield along the way. Multis and puzzle caches were my main targets but I was also happy to grab this Letterbox as I was passing by.
Thanks equipe de cinq for the cache.
