Nice quick find, tftc.

Walking along the channel trail and finding cache after cache after cache. I am so glad I did not have to dig that ditch. Looks like it was all done by hand. Tough old guys. Caches were all in good condition expect for one that was missing. Watch out for bee hives in the gate post. It fact there are bees in many of the fence posts as well but you usually do not have to go there.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is friggjar-dagr the twentieth day of the septimus month of the Roman calendar in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a bit cooler today. Not so windy today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Out for a stroll on a beautiful day. TFTC

In the cold mist of June, with several layers of clothing and some mobility assistance, we tackled the channel series, and very glad we did. There were multiple times that Darryl Kerrigan's voice was in the head. How's the Serenity? Beautiful peaceful country with wildlife aplenty. There were some challenges but we managed to find them all in the end. All caches in good condition except where mentioned.

Had a day out with Detofinbars in the mobility cart doing Channel Country series. We were fascinated with the scenery and views, which included some sections of nice greenery after recent rain. All caches were found and in good condition, unless mention in log. After finishing enjoyed a couple traditional drinks at the Spalding Hotel, before heading home to our own local pub for a few more drinks and a very enjoyable meal. A great day had by both of us. TFTC

Away for the June Long Weekend with TheWhiteDogGang. We based ourselves at Orroroo and travelled far and wide over 4 days. We managed 1,500 kms during our travels. We managed to find some really old caches, one from 2001, and even managed to get all 9 terrain ratings. Not bad for 2 old farts with no coordination. The weather was dry if not cold on occasions.A good way to spend 4 days. One of the targets of our trip. The weather held off as we completed the series.TFTC

We are spending a couple of days in Crystal Brook before heading further west.Today was an opportunity to stretch the legs and have a good walk and so we managed about 10 km of the Heysen Trail. This series kept us very busy along the way today on our walk, and of the hides we searched for, we found all but 2. The coordinates were spot-on, the containers, logbooks and plastic clip lock bags very well maintained. In the early morning when we began, it felt like we were walking through an Australian painting with muted colours and so many pastels. Thanks Clare Valley Cachers for placing this series. We had a lot of fun today. Domsky

Cool [:o)] This channel was a true feat of engineering in its day. Water is such a precious thing in these parts. Well it has been wet lately though! fun teamwork ClareValleyCaching Big Grin *Logs are composed and published with love using GSAK of course.* Was a lovely walk out here with the placing / beta testing crew. ---Caching is a very hazardous activity! Watch out for sand traps, snakes, surprise cliffs, boxing roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and sharp rocks in your tyres Surprised try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder... -- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for germs and bugs !!! . [xx(] Make Travel Bugs the Only bugs you share and pass on Big GrinNow that there are no real restrictions - even more important to sanitise and safely distance!!! Heaps good of all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside areas, in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting CoolThanks so much for reading all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, apparently! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Wink Maybe if I worked out where I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! CoolCoolWinkCoolCoolCoolCool---

11-Aug-23
Travelling with iluvtrekking up the WA coast to Darwin, down the Centre and in the Flinders. Basing ourselves in Peterborough for a few days to grab finds in the surrounds. The Geo-men decided on a biking day so we were dropped off at the start of the track while our wives cached in the area. Beautiful day for cycling and caches found without problems. Thanks ClareValleyCaching.

Travelling with richlink from Perth to Darwin up along the west coast and home again through the centre and the Nullarbor, picking up caches as we go. Based in Peterborough, we are exploring some of the surrounding areas. The boys cycled the Mid North Channel while the girls picked up the nearby caches. TFTC Clare Valley Cachers.

A big long weekend with the JAMS Crew (JJ52, allister w(me), mogni, Sir Spectre and tallbikestan). We road from Riverton to Stanley Flat on day 1. Then more riding near Spalding on day 2. Then finished the weekend with finding caches around the area in the car. TFTC

02-Oct-22
A return visit to Clare was planned for the long weekend with the JAMS crew plus tallbikestan to find a lot of the caches that we didn't get to on our last visit along with the Rattler, Riesling and NE trails as well as the Mid North Channel Country trail. [^]

We had three very full days with perfect weather for caching, lots of bike riding, lots of walking and lots of driving along dirt tracks. We were lucky it had not recently been wet as some of the roads we drove on would not have been passable if wet. Loved the scenery at this time of year with everything looking very green as well as the bright yellow of the canola crops. Big Grin

A fun weekend of caching, lots of caches found and lots of cool places visited. Cool

Thanks for the cache ClareValleyCaching. Smile

The JAMS crew went on an October long weekend adventure back to Clare. We brought Tallbikestan along as we were targetting the bike tracks and he is the best rider amongst us. Allister W and sir_spectre we the other main riders, with JJ52 and I the support crew and walkers. A huge weekend of fun and adventure was had by all, until I made SS sick with my cold....oops.
Thanks to all those who have kept not just the bike tracks but all the other caches alive for us to find.
All caches signed as JAMS.
Thanks to ClareValleyCaching from mogni Smile

The JAMS team ( JJ52,Allister w, Mogni, and sir_spectre minus mitchell&hound ) but Tallbikestan was with us instead and we where out for there usually monthly caching adventure. This time it was over the october long weekend instead of the usual day trip. The taget this time was Drop into the Light a long ladder cache on the way to clare and then to clear the Rattler trail, Riesling Trail, Ne Trail saturday on the bikes and then sunday do the Mid North Channel Country bike trail. Monday on the return home was to get Peter's view a 2001 cache. Of course there was many, many other's found on route to the various target for the weekend, somewhere around 260 found by the team. It could have been more but we were not going at a flat out pace, just steady and getting a blow out on the bike 1.6 km's from the end of the Mid North Channel Country bike trail didn't help. I didn't see any snakes this trip but allister did, he saw 5. The caches this trip where written in as JAMS, i forgot the stamps. Also 1 cache was placed by the JAMS team this trip. Out of all the bike tracks i preferred the Rattler /Riesling trail. I like riding through the very rich ( after all the recent rains ) fields of yellow flowers.

This afternoon hubby felt inclined to go for a walk to try and help straighten his back out. As we had walked some of the trail on an earlier day and knew the trail to be an easy walk with a good surface off he went, I dropped him at the start of a small section and picked him up at the next cross roads. All the containers are in good condition. SL TFTC

Came down to Clare for the JWLE not to play the game but to play the geocaching game. Didn’t have much of a plan so when Courtney Rose and Gridge98 asked me if I wanted to tag along with them to cache around Spalding I said a big YES.
We found some great caches and did a fair bit of walking. Then back to Clare for the juggling flash mob very Carnivale.
After the flash mob I headed out on my own to pick up some caches south of Clare and to do the Carendo adventure lab. On the way stopped for a cleansing ale at Pikes with CoCo Pops.
Arrived back to Clare after dark had my only dnf of the day and then on to collect my curry and back to my super deluxe accommodation for a well earned rest.
Big thanks to all the CO and of course the JLWE Committee for a fun day.

Visiting Auburn to catch up with SpudBex. Today we headed off for Mr Felix to ride his bike along the Mid North Channel caches.Of course we had to stop before and after, [:o)] all in all we ended up with 52 smilies and 1 bee sting from a cache we ended up not attempting.

More spots that we would not have visited without Geocaching taking us along for the explore.
